I jump into this little roleplay session we have here and submit Stunfisk's feelings as we sit atop the ponies I then continue on the rainbow Stunfisk is spewing from his tail. (It occurred to me I should have totally been Nyan Cat) (Also I hope that geology pun was good enough for you Lee)

The obstacles this lap were varied and certainly tricky, but our racers seem to have been navigating them without a hitch! In first place, we’ve got Elliot! Say what you will, but he’s certainly no Last Unicorn! On his heels, we’ve got SV roaring along! She’s had a lackluster race so far, but maybe that gigantic font woke her cheetahs up? In third, Kuroboom is large and in charge! He and Edgar just plowed straight past Ganymede like it ain’t no thang. Cendra is in fourth, and she’s certainly keeping her cool. Fortunately for her, it seems she remembered to put on her winter tires. She’ll need to up the pace a bit if she’s going to make those into win ner tires, however! Tangrow is in fifth, and is certainly flaunting an excellent choice in steeds! Between the meteor belt, the random space Pokemon swarm, and an earth-quake moon, it seems that there’s no place a Stunfisk does not feel at home! Bringing up the rear… Oh dear. Bringing up the rear, and fighting for last position, are the members of our wolf pack duo. Fleet manages to shoot ahead, utilizing Jupiter to send her blazing off at a positively LUNATIC speed! While the gravity slingshot seems to have aided Fleet, Lone seems to have been unable to break free of Jupiter’s immense gravity! Sadly, it seems this Ponyboy isn’t going to stay gold. And it seems your misfortunes are not over yet, racers! You might have gotten past Jupiter’s home boys, but now it’s time to take on the big man himself! Stage 7: Jupiter It seems elementary kids were onto something when they said people go to Jupiter to get more stupider. (Pohatu, can we get a check on the grammar of that statement? For some reason, it doesn’t sound quite kosher to me. More stupidest? Morer stupid?) Anyways, this lap will be in the format of Ask A Stupid Question, Get a Stupid Answer. You guys have made it all the way to Jupiter, so why not get more- Oh, whatever. Lap 7… BEGIN!!!!!!! How are we breathing in space?

I brought some rocks and this string if you're hungry.
Are we fashionably dressed for space travel?

No whooshing allowed in space, I'm afraid.
What does Jupiter taste like?

By bathing in grape kool-aid, which is excellent for the skin.
How is it that fish are able to swim the rainbow better than us?

It seems that our racers had some initial trouble getting retarded in here. However, they managed to get in the groove, and they picked up some speed after the initial jumble. I have to wonder if an inability to ask stupid question is a good sign or a bad sign from an intellectual standpoint? "If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever." Rodan Churchill squawks, because he didn't stop being a part of this event or anything. Cendra darts into first place this lap, swerving past a misplaced Ninety who seems to have been blown clear past Jupiter in an earlier explosion. She's doing so well this lap, her craft actually made headlines on Cracked! Right on her heels is Tangrow, and boy, that fish can do everything! It's avoided every obstacle thusfar with aplomb, and now it's successfully DERPed its way into second. Elliot has fallen a bit further back, but it bears noting he would actually be in the lead, had he not gone WHOOOSHING off in the wrong direction initially. Kuro- No, wait, Fleetwolf is in fourth, blasting ahead using the unthinkable gravity of Jupiter to her advantage. Kuroboom and Edgar are unfazed by this, however, and continue moving along at a solid clip. They've been through many post races, and it seems nothing has ever been enough to shake this duo! Speaking of Post Race regulars, SV is bringing up the rear. Those cheetahs aren't giving up yet, and she's pushing that chariot to its limits! Wait, what's this? It seems that by bringing this race through Ask a Stupid Question, Get A Stupid answer, we've inadvertently gone into Scrap Heap territory! The stellar skyways are littered with all manner of spacejunk! Presently, it seems that a millstone from Attack & Defend is on a collision course with SV! She attempts to minimize the damage, but it won't be enough! After all, it seems a certain dearly departed Wolf slapped a sticky-grenade on it before his passing- Ooh... Talk about having a millstone around your neck. So sorry, SV. I'll be sure to get some flour- *AHEM* flowers for your grave. Stage 8: Saturn No, not that Saturn! This one: And as you all know, Saturn is famous for its rings. This lap, be sure to pick up some of that bling on your way through! First place gets 5 EP, and each place after that gets one less. It's kinda like snagging the brass ring on a merry-go-round, but with a lot more inexplicable explosions. Lap 8... BEGIN!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get anyone too worked up. It's always been my luck that whenever I check this frequently, nothing happens. I'm off the internet for a day and new laps. Anyway, deep breaths, no new lap.

My apologies for the delays, folks; it seems that the bitter cold of the outer planets has led to a freezing of progress in the race. However, it seems that the racers have managed to bust on through, and progress is resuming! At the head of the pack, scooping in space-diamonds by the bucketful, is Cendra (+5 EP). This her second time in a row in first, and she seems to be getting quite cozy there! Will she be able to hold onto these fortuitous circumstances in the ever harder laps to come, though? Tangrow is retaining his prior place, too! He's nestled into second (+4 EP), and is bouncing quite merrily along. He's a real front runner this race, seldom having dipped into the rear of the pack. His Stunfisk must have a Hasty nature, considering how quickly it's devouring the track! Kuroboom and Edgar have pushed into third (+3 EP), finally breaking our string of repeat placers! The turtle jockey shouts something about the pace of the race as he shoots past me; apparently things are not going fast enough for him? We'll see about remedying that, post haste! "Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things," Rodan Churchill exposits while gnawing on a space shuttle. Elliot has dropped into fourth (+2 EP), continuing to lose his momentum. Though initially promising, his unicorn seems to be running out of steam! Could he be coming to the end of his rainbow? If so, where's the pot of gold, and who's the leprechaun? Behind Elliot is Fleetwolf. Though fifth place (+1 EP) would've been golden earlier on in our race, it this point, she's dragging along at the very back of the herd. I'm afraid Luna is having a nightmare of a time! What's that, though? It seems that we've spotted the Cassini Huygens spacecraft! It's orbitting Saturn, going about its duty of examining the moons. It's detached the Huygens lander, and seems to be aiming for Luna. For whatever reason, be it Lunar imprisonment or a fondness of wordplay, it's treating her like a moon and headed to crash directly into her! Look out, Fleet! Oh, horsefeathers! This round has been really rough on the unicorns, it seems! Somewhere, Kitten Quigley must be crying herself to sleep. Stage 9: Uranus I'm going to put an end to the crass jokes before they start. "A joke is a very serious thing!" Rodan Churchill caws. You tell them! They'll listen to a political powerhouse like you. "Politics are very much like war. We may even have to use poison gas at times." Oh, come on, a fart joke? Well, fine then, l a u g h i t u p . Hrm. It seems Uranus's odd rotation is affecting the text. To have your first post this lap count, you must p o s t l i k e t h s . Lap 9... B E G I N !!!!!!!!!
