This lap has been tough going for our racers, having to navigate between thousands of caroming boulders travelling fast enough to atomize even the sturdiest of ponies.
“Battles are won by slaughter and maneuver. The greater the general, the more he contributes in maneuver, the less he demands in slaughter. “
Yes, Rodan Churchill. But I’d say that applies in reverse, too. Those folks out there who aren’t maneuvering very well are certainly gonna be quite thoroughly slaughtered!
First racer through the belt is
Kuroboom! With smooth moves and lightning reflexes like that, I have to wonder if Edgar is part ninja.
Speaking of smooth moves,
Elliot slides into second while trailing a corona of iridescent flame. His unicorn seems well accustomed to bashing its way through rugged obstacles and making pinpoint dodges through minute gaps, skills that are serving him well!
Tangrow is flopping along merrily behind them, as if… Well, I honestly have no idea why that flatfish would be so at home in a meteor belt, but who am I to judge? Whatever its deal is, it’s working well!
Cendra is rocketing along in fourth, on a lap seemingly themed around the number four (well, besides it being the fifth lap, but I digress)… I don’t know if that’s a good omen, or if it marks her for a dire fate. In Japan, four is the number of death, but can Cendra spin it into her lucky number?
SV is close behind her, but wait- She seems to be headed off in the wrong direction! Were it not for a caliginously inclined steampunk spacefarer’s correction, she might have ended up sprinting straight into a gargantuan space rock! In fact, in the distraction,
Fleetwolf and
Shadow slip by, taking fifth and sixth! If there’s an achievement for racing in tandem, these wolves are well along their way to unlocking it. Seems you can’t slip nothing by a wolfpack when they’re working as a team.
SV finally has managed to correct her course, and busts through a gap between closing asteroids at the last second, like some sort of gender-flipped Star Fox.
In eighth, what is this? It seems
Rojoneko is back from the dead! He’s streaking forwards, pushing his warp star to its very limits… It’s an incredible showing from this newbie post racer! He’s nipping at SV’s heels, getting awfully fancy on the dodging…
A little too fancy, actually...
PLAYER 8 DEFEATED.Well, it seems that this time, Rojoneko’s run out of lives. Let’s hope our other racers do better in the coming lap!
Stage 6: The Moons of Jupiter
In this lap, you’ll have to dodge around the moons of Jupiter. If you don’t meet the posting requirements for one of the moons, you miss that placing and will have to try for another. (You may only try for a place once the one before it has been taken)
1st place: Megaclite: One of the outermost moons of Jupiter. Whoever posts first takes this spot without any requirements, because they’re awesome.
2nd place: Callisto: Due to the presence of (frozen) water and low levels of radiation, Callisto is considered one of the most habitable spots in the Jovian system. For choosing such a (comparatively) relaxing spot, you get 3 EP.
3rd place: Ganymede: Ganymede is the largest satellite in our solar system, actually even larger than the planets Mercury and Pluto. To confront such a large challenge, you must post in extra-large font (at least size 4).
4th place: Europa: Due to liquid water and a protective crust of ice, Europa is believed to be the most likely location for extraterrestrial life in our solar system. To prove there’s life out there, make a post in another board on the Exodus after posting in this race.
5th place: Io: Io is notable for being the most geologically active object in the solar system. To appease its fiery nature, you must make either a pun or joke that is related to geology.
6th place: The Rings of Jupiter: By skimming close to the planet, you utilize it as a gravitational slingshot to pick up more speed. Whoever takes this place comes in one place higher in the next lap, unless they get last place.
7th place: Jupiter: You crash into Jupiter and die. It just really isn’t your day today, is it?
Lap 6….
BEGIN!!!!!!![/color][/u]
Apologies for the delay. Had a sermon and some other stuff on top of a really ambitious lap. Thank you for your patience.
