Okay, guys, it's that time of year again. Well, actually, it's about a month PAST that time, but I was hoping that Renard would conclude quickly enough that this'd have a hope of ending in July. With such not being the case, I've decided to run it now.
This is pretty simple, for all of you that are newcomers. You submit a list of characters to be rated by everybody else, and then, once the list of characters is completed, you give your ratings and PM them to me. If you want me to share them with the public in the results, just put “Public” somewhere in the title box of the PM.
The ratings go as follows:
-2: I hate this character and think that they ruin anything they touch.
-1: I dislike this character. They are not utterly horrible, but I think they are lacking and detract from the interactions/plots/battles that they are in.
0: I have a mild dislike of this character. Their flaws as a character outweigh their pros, however slightly.
1: I'm neutral on this character, or don't know who they are. Alternately, I am Ch00beh.
2: I'm okay with this character. They never really stood out very much, but they have good points.
3: I like this character slightly. They have amused me before, work well in plots, or otherwise have gained esteem in my eyes.
4: I like this character strongly. They have enough strong points to support their own plots, contribute meaningfully in almost any RP that fits them, and good design principles.
5: This character is a flawless gem. All RP characters should strive for this level of perfection at all times.
Here's the old ratings thread, to give you an idea how things went last year:

Remember, no submitting ratings until I declare the character entry closed!
I'm changing the submission rules slightly this time, as some events last year led me to reconsider a few items. The changes are as follows:
-There'll be no penalty for not rating other people's characters after submitting your own.
Why: It's petty, and the only people who would be motivated by such a thing are not around. It'd be incredibly tacky and inconsiderate to not rate the other characters, however.
-Each person can submit up to twelve characters.
Why: Most casts have grown immensely in the last year. It's worth expanding this ever-so-slightly, so that the people with large casts can fit them all in.
-Each person may submit one character that isn't actually their own, if their author is not present to enter said character.
Why: Well, last year, Sly won. Why not see what happens this year?
With all that out of the way, let's get this underway.
Whenever we hit 75 characters or August 1st, whatever comes first, I'll be closing character entries. Then, everybody has a week to submit their ratings.
My entries:
Zebedee
Thyra
Natalie
Miko
Nopcsa
Dace
Blaise
Achenes
Helen
Garth
Lacianus
Isambard Zonis
Other Author Character:
Haze
