Rick slowly walked down the empty hallway of his once joyful home. Faded marks on the walls around him showed where pictures had once been hung. Each room he passed by had been stripped of possessions. The house was as plain as the day it had been purchased. Dirty carpets had been shampooed and cleaned, trapdoors and teleportation devices had been sealed and removed, and the scorch marks scattered around that house were barely visible through the new paint. Only one thing was left to do.
At the end of the hallway was the door leading to the master bedroom. It was also the only door that was shut. Rick turned the knob and slowly pushed it open. Like the other rooms this one was empty. Any sign that a person had ever lived here had been removed. The early morning light flooded through the window and filled the room. A single shadow sat in the center of the room. The shadow of a small white cat-like creature.
“Mew,” Rick said softly as he sat down cross-legged on the floor next to the pokemon. “Mew, it’s time to go. The real estate people well be here soon.”
Mew turned and looked up at Rick. It was strange; Rick had seen this pokemon defend itself against entire armies and on one occasion level an entire city, but this was the first time it had ever looked helpless. Rick scooped up the pokemon and placed it on his shoulder. Together they made their way downstairs and into the living room downstairs. A back pack filled with supplies was setting near the door. Rick himself was wearing his usual light blue shirt with his black pants and combat boots. As he pulled the backpack over his shoulder he took one last look at the house. Both Rick and Mew were silent. They turned back towards the door and past over the threshold one last time.
It had been two weeks since Rick had returned. Since then he had silently been moving out of the house. He didn’t want Lee and Ender to figure out what he was doing. Rick had left a note on Lee’s door. He explained what he had been doing since his return and that Rick could not live in that house alone. Everything had been moved into the basement/lab and the entrance to the lab had been sealed. The lab was now the possession of Lee and Ender. The only thing it didn’t say was where Rick was going. He knew if he had asked them they would have come but this was going to be dangerous. Granted that they had been in dangerous situations before but this one was different. Rick wasn’t even sure if he would make it through this one.
Use of any of his powers would allow for Lee and Ender to easily find him. So for now he would travel like a normal individual. Parked out in the street was a hover bike, similar to the ones TR had used back in the war. Rick mounted the bike and floated up in the air. He hoped they would understand.

OOC- Anyone can jump in. From you I would prefer a Cherrygrover, but if you would like to through in some others as well that would be fine. I’ll leave it up to you, you can either find that I have left and enlist Ender to help (Make that lazy excuse for an excuse post! lol) or catch me in the process of leaving and pursue and once more involve Ender.
Basically, I defiantly want the two of you. But this is hopefully going to be a long topic with fights and stuff important for my current story arc. So anyone who want to participate can and had better. Or else I’ll *-Censored for Younger viewers-* your cat.

Zebedee's hair rustled in the persistant breeze, as he stood on his rooftop. He had chosen this spot well. He strode out to the edge of his rooftop, and looked down upon the streets of Cherrygrove. Many small vehicles bustled along at a decent clip, but there was no traffic. The city lived off of a very scattered number of businesses, and, due to this, had a very widely spread population.
A piece of paper fluttered off of his door, and he immediately snapped his fingers, the paper disappearing in a cloud of green sparks. It reappeared in the clutch of Zebedee, still fluttering in the stiff breeze. Zebedee quickly perused the contents of the notes, and then adjusted his glasses with the back of his hand.
"Well..." Zebedee scanned it again. Still read the same. This wasn't a good situation. A pale tint falling across his face, Zebedee let his hair fall into his eyes. His lips twisted a little, and Zebedee started walking backwards. When his heel met the back edge of his flat roof, he let himself fall, landing weightlessly in the backyard. The grass rustled slightly as he approached the guest house's door.
"Ahem. Ender?" Zebedee knocked politely twice, note still in his grasp.

"Mhmm?" Ender said as he opened the door. Clearly, he had just woken up. His hair was messier than usual, and he was just in his boxer shorts. He did, however, still have the reflective shades on. The boy yawned, then snapped, causing a pair of pants to appear on his legs.
"What's this?" he said, referring to the note.

Zebedee looked towards the fence. "Well..." His voice rasped a little. "I guess it's the sort of... Hmmm..." He looked straight to Ender, and then his gaze shifted away again. "It's the opposite of an eviction notice, I guess." Zebedee then adjusted the sleeve on his shirt. "Basically, Rick can't live with his past, and has decided to move on to elsewhere to try and forget about the whole..." Zebedee stopped again, like the damming of a flood. "Yeah."
Zebedee shoved the note into Ender's hand, and then turned on his heels, facing back towards his house. He wrapped his arms around his back, and tried to figure on what direction was the best one to face. He hummed a little.

Prime stumbled numbly out of his house and onto his sundeck. He looked down across the yard, spotting Ender and Zebedee. "Huh, the reminds me. I haven't told them I bought the place over here." He muttered to himself, stepping back inside. He stopped and looked in the mirror for a moment, he certainly had done a lot of changing over the last few months, but he seemed to be back to normal now. Green eye's, orange hair (one would usually say red hair, but it looked orange to him), and the same muscle structure he used to have. I guess I'm human again. He thought. It'd only been recently he'd gotten back from that alternate reality. He shrugged, pulling on a pair of jeans, green T-shirt, and a light, brown vest. He rolled his shoulders, trying to get it to settle properly.
"Its to bad I lost that armor." He said sadly as he walked onto the sundeck. "It fit really good, even if it was made by an evil bastard." He reached for his side, but then suddenly remembered he'd lost his sword. He sighed. "Another thing I'll have to replace." He jumped off the sundeck, flying about fifty feet before landing lightly a few feet from Zebedee and Ender. "Hey guys." He said, waving. "I may have forgotten to mention that I've moved into that house over there." He said, pointing. As he turned back, he noted the serious expressions on their faces. He sighed again. It's always something. Frowning, he asked. "What's going on? You two look like you've lost an old friend." He said, remembering how he'd felt when he'd lost Aurora. His hand twitched as the blood red memories flashed through his mind.

Ender snapped again, this time, a shirt appearing over his body. He took the note and looked at it, a grim expression on his face. He already knew what it was about before Zebedee handed him the piece of paper. He could literally feel it in the air. "This is... yeah..." he muttered after finishing the note. "Well, personally, I think we should probably find him or something. He might be doing something suicidal," Ender said, bluntly. With a wave of his hand, the psionic floated his trenchcoat on.
He heard a rustling in the bushes and turned to see Prime. "That's because there's the possibility that we might."

Prime immidiately felt like a fool. "I'm sorry Ender, I didn't realise. I recently suffered the loss of an old friend as well." He said sadly. "I honestly don't know what to do, exept work and keep my mind off it." He looked back up. "I'm sorry to you as well, Zebedee. I should've thought more carefully before I spoke." Prime fingered the new gun besides his hip, he missed the weight of the katana, but he wasn't effective with close weapons anymore.
He sighed. "If you need any help, I'll happily give it." He said. "But, for the moment, how about we all stop standing around outside, looking suspicious? I don't know about you, but I could certainly use a drink. And you two should discuss what your going to do, if anything, right?" He asked tentatively.

"Well, I guess that planning would be good to do." Zebedee muttered, and looked at Prime for a moment. He turned away again, and looked across the street. "I'll bet he's using Mew to shield his mind, to avoid mental scans." Zebedee mused over the possibilities, but found himself distracted. What would he tell Thyra and Nat? They were distraught enough over the loss of Sly. And when a straw would break the camel's back, what would a length of lead pipe do?
He sighed slightly, wind forming around him as his aura began to drift in under the stress. This was simply too much. He had always been looked to as a kind of default leader in Cherrygrove. Why? He had no idea. It must've been because he didn't give actual orders as much as simple guidelines. Sly... well, Sly had always been the one who had given advice in sticky situations like this. And now, Zebedee had to search himself for answers.

Rick looked over his shoulder at Cherrygrove; the city was slowly becoming just a dot on the horizon. Mew still sat on Rick’s shoulder, unaffected by the wind. Together the two flew through the air for what seemed like hours. Over lakes, mountains, and land until they came to largely forested area. With a flip of the switch the rocket engine disengaged and slowly hovered down to the ground.
They had landed in a large clearing deep within the forest. A large building sat in the center of the clearing. It was falling apart; any vestige of its former glory had disappeared in the many years since it was abandoned. Neglected vehicles littered the edge of the building. Once they had been the peak of vehicular battle machines, but now they were homes to small pokemon and other animals. And occasionally, either on the ground or in a vehicle, Rick came across the skeletal remains of humans and other unidentifiable creatures. Most of them were bare, but as Rick walked to the entrance of the building he would find one still wearing the tattered remains of a uniform. A uniform bearing the insignia of TR.
Rick new his father had been involved in the war. But when the day came that his father told him he had been a member of the evil TR and not the righteous Alliance, Rick almost refused to believe it. In his life, Sly never explained why he had fought for the bad guys but that didn’t matter anymore. He was dead and all that was left now were memories.
Rick pushed aside the beams that had fallen in front of the entrance and tore through the cobwebs into the building. It was dark but Rick couldn’t use his magic to brighten it up. As much as he wanted to he couldn’t alert the others back in Cherrygrove to his location. He couldn’t stand the thought of losing more friends. Instead he let Mew take the lead for two reasons. Mew was a legendary pokemon of great power and its body gave a natural glow. Also Mew had been here before. And could lead Rick to his objective.
When Rick was secretly clearing out the house he had found a sort of telepathic journal his father had kept. By accident Rick activated the device and was imbued with all the accounts the journal contained. Ricks brain, a genetic cross between a humans and andalite, was not adept or made for acquiring all these memories. Only the ones that pertained to himself were still accessible in his mind, the others had deteriorated into nothing. It was one of those memories that had lead Rick here. Two years ago Sly had hidden to objects unknown to Rick. The first was something that both Sly and Amiila, Rick’s mother, had taken from Rick when he was young. As far a he could understand whatever the two of them had taken was a part of Rick himself. The second and more recent was something that Sly had discovered in his research. Something he didn’t think Rick should know.
In the journal Sly had warned of a device guarding the secrets. Something that Sly had found at the old Rebel base and reprogrammed. Rick didn’t know what it was and the journal wasn’t specific enough to figure it out. All Rick new was that the farther he followed Mew into the base the more he could feel something watching him.
OOC- The plot thickens. Well I’m going to ruin this for those that have been around for a long time and are reading this. But this is another old character of mine. Don’t worry I brought it back specifically for this topic but I’ll Exalt the first person who can tell me who it is based upon the clues I give in the post.

Ender couldn't help but feel the thoughts Zebedee had. Like his aura, Zebedee's thoughts seeped into the air like water through a broken dam. Most warrior's subconsciously created a mental barrier, a cacoon of sorts, around themselves to keep emotions and thoughts inside. However, under extreme flares of emotion, with Zebedee, stress, the mental cacoon's unraveled. Ender could psychicly see this happening around his friend.
"Zeb, relax a bit. I'm sure that for now, Rick's fine. If he had a problem, we'd be able to sense it from literally a mile away. We probably shouldn't tell the girls for now. Be easier on them and us. They can be mad at us all they want afterwards, but for now, I'm just concerned with getting our friend back.
"Now, we have no idea where he went, and he wants to make sure that we don't follow. That probably means the possibility of extreme danger, so, we'll have to do exactly the opposite and ifnd him. Only thing I can think of right now is to search the lab to see if any clues come up."

Prime rolled his eye's. "Right, so I guess we're not going inside then." He said calmly. Thought he was having some trouble containing himself, Zebedee's aura was starting to burn his skin. "Um, it still looks odd that we're just standing out here. And if you don't want to girls to know, we should probably start moving right?" He said cautiously. "So lets go to the lab, alright?"

OOC- lmao
BIC- Mew had led Rick into the deepest part of the base, Sly’s original lab. One look into the lab told Rick what he was looking for. While most everything in the lab was run down and broken, there was one piece of equipment that looked fairly new and well taken care of. This had to be what Sly had hidden. Unfortunately, before Rick could investigate the device, a raspy voice called down from the ceiling.
“Oh goody! The human found it!” Rick looked up at the source of the voice and gaped at what he saw. Hanging from the ceiling, its eight legs dug into the ceiling, was the largest king crab Rick had ever seen. From its unnaturally large grotesque face to its pickup truck sized body, this creature was an abomination.
“I was so worried you wouldn’t find it when you walked into the building,” It said as its scissor like claws snapped in the air, “It’s been so long since I had a chance to stretch my legs.”
Before Rick could say anything a large triple barrel cannon protruded from the chest of the creature and began firing rockets at the mage. Rick somersaulted backwards and rebounded off the wall behind him towards the creature.
“Hehe!” the creature rasped, “Rampage, terrorize!” The sound of several pistons and hydraulic devices engaging at once was almost disorienting as the organic looking crab began to swivel and reform into a very metallic looking robot. It batted Rick out of the air and through the rotting wall. Rampage dropped to the ground and laughed as it reproduced the triple barrel cannon, now in a gun like form, and fired two shots into the next room.
The transformer waited for the explosions but they never came. This time the robot was surprised to see Rick walk through the hole in the wall holding the two rockets. “What is this? You’re not a normal human!” Rampage said as it backed up in fear. Rick smiled as he threw the two rockets back at the robot. Much to Rick’s disappointment the resulting explosion tore the robot to pieces.
“Well isn’t that just a kill joy. Just think if I could have used my powers. It would have been over like that.” Rick said as he snapped his fingers. Mew rolled its eyes and floated back to Rick’s shoulder.
< Well done! >
“Thanks Mew!” Rick said as he looked over at Mew.
“Mew mew…”
“What do you mean it wasn’t you that said…” Rick stopped. Mew was pointing to the table where the device was setting. Rick followed the pokemon’s gaze and froze. Their standing behind the counter was a pale blue centaur, with a scorpion like tail.

“Father…” Rick said. He could barely believe his eyes.
< Well yes, and no. In all respects I am your father; mind, intellect, I have it all. But I am unfortunately just a holographic representation of a program your father made long ago. My purpose is to answer any questions you may have. > The HoloSly said as it passed through the table and towards Rick.
Rick felt a sinking sensation in the back of his stomach. For an instance everything was back to the way it had been. For a moment Rick had felt happiness. Then reality’s truth came back, Sly was dead. Rick swallowed hard and looked at the HoloSly, “Oh… Well if that’s the case what did my parents hide here from me? What was it they took from me?”
< You’re parents originally believed that you would grow up to be corrupt by your black mage powers. So together your father and mother, combining technology and magic, created a device to store half of your power. They theorized that the part of you that was Andalite would be able to better exert its morals, principles, and overwhelming goodness over your true soul. They hid the power here until they thought you were ready. > HoloSly reached over to the device and waved his had over it. The top opened and a pulsating orb of black and blue energy rose into the air.
Rick approached the orb, “You mean that I’m not as strong as I was meant to be…”
< Precisely. Your true power lies within that orb. You have but to take it and you will once more be whole. >
Rick reached out with both hands, taking the orb. It floated over his palms for a few seconds, before absorbing into his body. Ricks first reaction was a warm sensation; a friendly, inviting warmth. That lasted a whole of five seconds. His body was racked with violent surges of pain as the power and his old power merged. He grew taller by a few inches and he felt his overall body become stronger. His face all undertook a few changes of it own. His canines extended and his green eyes took on an animal like shape, giving him a more wolfish appearance. He could feel energy storing up in his body as he began to uncontrollably power up. Energy swirled around his body as his aura grew licking the air like flames. He couldn’t stop it, the others in Cherrygrove were going to find him.

He simply glanced at Zebedee and Prime, knowing that they would have felt it too, then ran back outside. As soon as he set foot out the door, he took to the air. He hovered for a moment, waiting for his companions, then sped off toward the source of energy.

Rick fell to the ground. Static bolts of energy continued to pass over his body but for the most part the absorption and assimilation of his true power seemed to have passed the worst point. He looked up at the ceiling with new vision. He could make out more detail than before in the dark room. Rick had always been able to see in the dark but this different. With these new abilities it was like every bit of the room was lit up. Slowly he managed to push himself up and stand.

Ender knew Zebedee would be able to keep up. He sensed Prime's mind as well, traveling with Zeb behind himself, which was good. As soon as the psionic felt his companions' minds close enough, he pushed his telekinetic powers a bit more to increase his speed. This was going to leave a headache. A very bad one, in fact.
The boy could still sense the residual energy bouncing off the ground, trees, rocks, etc, increasing in magnitude as he neared the source. Soon Ender saw what looked like a probable origin: a burnt out TR building. He landed lightly then glanced back at Zebedee and Prime, took a couple aspirins, then entered the building at a good jog.

Zebedee, negating the downwards pull of gravity upon Prime and himself, immediately took off with a burst of kinetic energy pushing them. They rocketed after Ender, the forces that they endured great enough to cause considerable discomfort for almost any normal human. They landed immediately before the building, Zebedee digging in his heels to come to a stop. He staggered into the building, panting from exertion.

The hologram looked away from Rick. <Your father discovered a lost city. Through his research into ancient texts he found that during the Middle Ages many mages were being persecuted and burned. Apparently all who had been raised knowing what they were banned together. And they didn’t only come from Europe, every human mage in the world traveled along air and sea. Until they came found a place that they could call their own. Deep in the rainforest of South America they found a forgotten city. They took up residence and called the city Shin-Ra.>
Rick looked quizzically at the hologram, “Yeah, I know that story. It’s a fairy tale. Every other boy in the Black Mage village knew about it too.”
<You are correct except for one statement. It is not a fairy tale. Your father found the city, succeeding where many had failed. Your father decided that one day when you were ready he would tell you about it. But he feared what you would do once you had gotten there. I was not programmed with the specifics, but Shin-Ra is directly related with your past. Your father felt it best that you find this out on your own.> The hologram paused for a moment before continuing on. <There is a reason your father was the only man to find the city. There is a spell protecting the City, almost like a barrier. Any who enter this barrier lose all extraordinary and racial abilities. Thus rendering them for all intensive purposes, a normal human. For two and half miles this spell reaches, and in that barrier are creatures whose only purpose is to hunt those that enter the barrier. Your father was lucky, he was able to evade the creatures. This is not a task to be taken lightly. You and any who go could very well die. The decision is yours.>
The hologram flickered and faded, leaving Rick and Mew alone. Rick needed some air, he had to think. As he turned to leave he spotted Ender, Lee, and Prime in the doorway. “Hey guys…,” Rick managed sheepishly, “I guess you got my note. I’m sorry but I was afraid you would stop me…”

"Oh phew. I thought this was going to be something serious, like trying to stop you from picking up the world and flying away," Ender replied, still massaging his temples from the remaining bits of headache. "I wouldn't have stopped you... If I was actually afraid that you wouldn't be able something, I would've helped ya out." He pushed up his glasses and smiled.
"So, since I guess it's magic, I won't be keeping any of my abilities," he mused, "including the physical ones too." He shrugged. "Eh. I wouldn't mind being turned back into a normal human. Less headaches."
