"Well, I don't know you. But what needs to be done, needs to be done. And I believe these men wouldn't have hindered you." Prime said. "As Ender has pointed out." He grinned. "And I'm already a normal human again, so I don't have a problem going along with you, if you'll have me. I'd like to see those 'monsters'. Its been a while since I've had a decent fight, though I suppose I'm talking above my game at the moment." He turned towards Ender for a moment. "And I doubt you'd remain a human forever, so the lack of ze headaches won't last for very long. Sorry." He said.

Rick felt pretty bad. Why hadn’t he trusted his friends to be beside him. He barely knew Prime and here he was willing to go and help. Rick turned to Zebedee, “How about it? I mean if Dad could have done it, it should be a breeze for the four of us. Though I think we should make sure we all have some type of weapon.” Ricks hand rested on the hilt of his sword. “That should give us an edge, I mean Dad had his tail blade. That’s probably how he was able to get through.”

"A big ass gun sounds like it'd do the trick, mind you there's nothing quite as reliable as a good ol' sword." Six said from the doorway, his silver eyes seemed to shine from within the shadows that shrouded the entrance to the room. The fire user had been listening long enough to catch the story of the lost city. He moved toward Rick and extended a hand.
"Name's Six, another of Cherrygroves fine upstanding citizens. It's nice to meet you, I'd like to join the others in offering my help. When you're powerless and stuck in the middle of a monster infested hell hole with creatures itching to tear at your throat, another pair of eyes watching your back can never be a bad thing."

Zebedee looked at them all, and thought carefully. "Well, I think I may have an edge here. But it does depend on the definition of weapons, by the standards of those that crafted the spell. They might have made sure no excessively advanced weapons would work, or reduced their power to almost nil." He produced his feather. "I'm hoping that it'll at least retain some functionality, but I'm not sure. You know, with my luck being what it is."
Zebedee then, with a twitch of his arm, produced his racquet from his pack. The diamond blades glittered and sparkled in the light, casting a shakey shadow. Zebedee grinned a little. "Well, whatever way things turn out, I'll be glad to at least get some practice in with my racquet skills again." He spun the racquet in his palm with his thumb.\
"I'm with you."

"Always got the gun," Ender said. "Also got this, which I haven't used in a while..." He held out his hand, and crackles of electricity flew into his hand. Within a second, the lightning had condensed itself into a longsword with an ornately carved hilt that resembled a dragon's head. He spun it to test its weight.
"It'll work."

Prime looked at the sword admiringly. "Ok, that is friggin cool. Wish I had one of those. My most powerful sword ended up getting swallowed by a dragon. Went through hell getting the damn thing back out." He said. He looked at Rick. "By the way, I'm Prime. No idea if you know of me or not, nor do I really care. The media usually gets the bad side of you, so forget what you've heard." He paused. "And, uh, where are we going anyways? Do I need special ammunition?"

Rick had never met Six or Prime before but since Prime had come with Lee and Ender and Six was a citizen of Cherrygrove, Rick decided he could trust them. The mage reached out and shook Six’s outreached, “I’m Rick Yardic, last of the Black Mages.” Rick looked at the group in front of him. Both himself and Ender had swords. Ender, Six, and Prime had guns while Lee had his racquet. Rick wasn’t sure if the feather would work, though it was highly doubtful.
“Well we know it’s somewhere in the South American Rain Forest, would be nice if we had directions or something.” There was a whirring sound as the device that had held Rick’s power opened another compartment and a small device with a single button was ejected out.
<This device will transport all of you to the edge of the barrier. From their you will have to prove yourselves worthy of Shin-Ra by making it t the city alive.> The holograms voice echoed in their heads.
“Alright then guys, this is it. Anyone why wants to back out know it’s ok, but me, I’m going.”
OOC- The middle of the topic will be all O’ the fun fighting stuff. Once we reach the city it will become more dialogue oriented but I’m trying to balance this between fighting and story/character development.
Lee, I’d say the feather shouldn’t work. Make it more fun, all of us without our powers.

BIC: "Well hell, I don't think anyone is going to back out now. So what's say we push the d**n button?" Prime said, actions suiting words. He walked over to the button and gave it a damn good pressing.

"Ironic, "Ender said to Prime after the compliment. He held up the sword showing the details of the hilt, showing that the blade was actually coming out of the dragon's mouth.
"And obviously, I'm not turning back now," he grinned. For whatever reason, his trenchcoat already had a loop in its back to hold large weapons, so the boy hung it there. He cracked his knuckles, then cracked his neck and waited for the button pushing.

"I'm with you." Zebedee said loudly, his voice firm and ready. "You couldn't persuade me otherwise." He readied his racquet, slashing at the air with great ferocity. An aura of sunlight surrounded him, sparkling gently as he psyched himself up for the coming battle.

Rick smiled at his friends, old and new. “Alright then,” he began as he unsheathed his sword, “I’m not sure what to expect but let’s make sure were ready.”
As Rick finished Prime reached out and gave the button a very enthusiastic push. Everything around them disappeared and the group was left in pitch black. Rick couldn’t see the others but he could feel them so he knew they were still there. Everything grew cold and it felt as though icy wind was rushing past and around his body. As suddenly as the darkness had started, it ended. Rick was now in a lush rainforest about 5 feet off the ground. Before he could realize what had happened gravity took control of the situation and dragged him down to the ground.
Rick felt that he had hit the ground much harder than he should have. He could hear the sounds of everyone else falling to the ground around him. Rick sat up and looked over at Lee, “Ya know, my father was brilliant and all but you would think he would at least create a device that didn’t cause you to rematerialize in the air.” Rick remembered the time Sly had rematerialized the group of them some hundred feet in the atmosphere in another dimension.
Rick stood up and looked around. There seemed to be a path in front of them that led deeper into the rainforest. Rick could see father down the path that it was marked by a series of human skulls. “Well that looks like the direction.” Rick picked up his sword and started walking down the path. He decided to bide his time with some chatter. “So Six, You said you were from Cherrygrove? How come I never saw you around?”

As soon as he felt nothing below him, Ender bent his knees, and when he contacted the ground, he instinctively rolled out of it and sprang back to his feet. He dusted himself off as best he could while looking around.
"Well, this is good. My eyes are still working as well as normal, and so is my reaction timing. I'm guessing that means my body still has its upgrades... but, as expected, my psionic powers are blocked.
"Heh, you'd also be surprised how hard it is to get something exactly on the ground using a teleportation machine instead of a psychic. Digital steps versus the analogue world and such, and the possibility of appearing in the ground, but I won't bore you with the details."

Six landed with a thud on the hard ground.
"Ow.." He muttered picking himself up "Hmm, nice weather." he remarked looking up at the canopy, high above them, blocking out the sky. The young warrior rubbed his hands together, he forgot how cold it was without his fire powers. Reaching around his back a little Six removed his new gun from it's holster. The pistol was dark grey with white pearl grips on the handle. The barrel was made to look like there was a snake coiled around it, the snakes open mouthed head was at the end of the gun, two large curved, steel fangs protruded from the bottom of the barrel.
He slid the clip out and made sure it was fully loaded before sliding it back in. He cocked the gun ready to blast rounds at the first creature that attempted eat him.
"I've only lived in Cherrygrove for about a year, I spent a lot of time traveling before that. I was raised on Chrono island but not much happens there." Six said in reply to Rick's question. "Luckily Cherrygrove has plenty of exciting things happening to keep me occupied." He added with a grin.

“Yeah, well if he could make a watch that teleports him anywhere in the world, then I don’t see why he can’t do that with his other transportation inventions.” Rick said, knowing that once again Ender had made a valid point.
“I lived in Cherrygrove for awhile. You probably were arriving in town just as my father, myself, and a few others started traveling from dimension to dimension…” Rick trailed off; his mind instantly went to the crystal in his traveling pack. He knew that after this adventure was complete he’d have to search out the others in this dimension and destroy them to ensure that when the Gelguar opened the gate between dimensions that it would be this crystal, and not the others, that they came through.
Rick snapped back to reality and realized that he had stopped walking. Everyone was staring at him with questioning looks. “Sorry,” Rick said and started walking again. “I guess I kinda zoned out there. It was nothing.” Rick looked back over his shoulder at the others and caught a glimpse of something white far back behind them from where they came. He whirled around and was struck in the face by a rock. Mew picked another rock up off the ground and threw it at Rick. In the rush of teleportation and everything Rick had forgotten about Mew. The small white pokemon, obviously powerless, was slowly waddling towards the group and chucking rocks at Rick.
“Sorry Mew,” Rick said nursing a cut on his cheek. “I forgot you wouldn’t be able to float. Here hop in the backpack.” Rick said as he took his backpack off and opened it for Mew. The pokemon climbed in and made sure to hit Rick hard in the face with its tail as it got situated. Rick put the pack back on. He shrugged to the others and kept walking.
OOC- Alright next time I post it will start getting fun. Until then you people had better post. Post about what your character is thinking, talk to another character, pick your nose, I don’t care lol. Just post and give me something to work with or I will cry lol.

Zebedee looked at Rick, feeling the sweltering heat of the jungle encompass him. His powers normally regulated the air temperatures around him. Here, no such luck. His feather was apparently not working. "I guess that law, whomever came up with it, was right. Suitably advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
Zebedee looked through the thick vegetation, and spun his racquet with his thumb. "Something is on its way." He said quietly, looking skywards. "I can feel it. Something big is about to happen."

"He probably had the watch interface with his intrinsic telepathic abilities," Ender replied, tapping his temple. He smirked sarcastically then began strolling down the path at a leisurely rate.
The boy had his hands in his pockets. His head was tilted back; his eyes were fixed on the sky, or what little bits of sky he could see through the canopy. His body was working 'normally' so to speak, but he had lost, at least temporarily, any sort of psychic power. He felt naked in a way, without his mind's eye subconsciously observing the world around him, blanketing him with information.
Sure, he still had his enhanced eyes, but his hearing, touch, smell, and taste were as normal as any other person's. He could hear his companions' and his own footsteps, he could feel the damp air, he could smell the vegetation. But his sixth sense had been with him, albeit tucked away, since he was born, and it was still uncomfortable. Ender didn't have the precision control over the workings in his mind anymore; he couldn't see the molecular interactions in the air around him anymore; he couldn't feel the textures of the plants around him with his mind anymore.
Ender yawned and sighed at the same time, taking his hands out of his pockets to stretch his arms.

Prime walked over to Ender and poked him a few times. "You know, being this close to you used to give me a migraine. Like you had some massive power cloaking you, locked away deep inside. But now its gone, like dust in the wind. Its very odd." He said, looking around the jungle. He took note of what Lee said, then turned to Rick. "I feel the same as Lee, and this is something I find strangely familiar. A kind of power that cannot be stopped or turned aside, pure physical force in all its primal glory. We're in for some chop." Prime said, checking the bullets in his gun. He flexed his hand, holstering his gun. "Also, I believe the reason that our powers don't work here is because this place has a powerful divinity. Its sacred somehow, a world in its own. Not entirely connected from where we are from." He said. "If you ever seen an elf, you know what I mean. Half in, half out, like it doesn't entirely belong here."

"Really? I thought I kept my psionic powers in a tight shell." Ender shrugged.
The boy felt especially vulnerable and blind when Lee and Prime said they felt something. He didn't feel or hear anything that he hadn't felt or heard earlier. He had relied on physical and mental sight nearly exclusively, which was slightly ironic because he never took off his shades.
But even with the shades on, he could still focus on objects farther, react to movement quicker, and adjust to changing light faster than most humans. He looked around the forest, though he still saw nothing out of the ordinary.

Prime shrugged. "You did, but it was something that went beyond your Psionic powers. I could never really peg it down though. So don't ask me about it." He said, taking a deep breath. He froze, looking around. "I smell miasma." He said slowly. "I would surmise that their are demon's in this place." He scanned the tree's, listening hard, but he couldn't detect anything. "Do you feel it Lee?" He asked. He felt almost as though his soul was being crushed. He scowled, and a dot of red appeared on his hand. "What the hell?..." Several more dots, he looked up.
Red clouds seemed to cover the sky now, from horizon to horizon. "Is this blood?" He asked curiously, tasting it. It was sweet and metallic, almost like sucking on a sugar coated nickle. "I think it is." Prime said, turning to Rick. "I don't think this is an incredably good sign."

OOC- All I can say is wow… I had actually planned on it raining blood… when Lee started looking up I was like “Wow! That will play in great!” Then a few people started having a bad feeling. Then Prime actually had it rain blood…. That’s when I wet my pants.
BIC- Rick couldn’t feel the foreboding sense like the others could. In fact, Rick felt nothing. His sense of smell, hearing, and sight were so bad now he couldn’t imagine ever being a normal human. The Diablo was twice as heavy as it normally felt and Rick felt blind not being able to sense everyone around him.
He listened to the others as the group walked down the path; surprisingly the foliage and canopy became less as they ventured farther into the jungle. Soon they could see the sky without tress blocking the view. Thick dark clouds had built up and moved quickly across the sky. Rick focused his attention back on the path and continued forward. When Prime mentioned something about blood Rick wheeled around. The mage had been concentrating so much on trying to listen for signs of trouble he hadn’t even noticed the rain.
The crimson droplets rained down staining the ground. Rick remembered the last time this had happened was when Valcara had attacked the dinner where Valon had introduced everyone to his sibling. Though Valcara was dead, this was a good sign that demons were near.
“We still have a lot of ground to cover.” Rick said turning back around, “We need to press forward.” Rick took a step but immediately stopped. Someone ran into his back but he didn’t turn around to see who.
Up ahead one of the skulls that lined the path was moving. It had slid out of line with the rest and was now in the center of the path facing them. More skulls began to join the rest, slowly forming a pile. The pile continued to grow larger and taller, skulls stretching out into arms and legs. It was starting to resemble a large golem made of skulls. Rick decided letting this thing form was a bad idea. He rushed forward with his sword and swung it at a still forming leg. Skulls shattered and fell to the ground but more took their place. A fully formed arm struck Rick sending him back into a tree.
As he scrambled back up he saw that there were several more forming farther up the path and that a number of these Skull Golems had already formed behind the group and were bearing down. “Behind you!” Rick yelled before being hit again, sending his body farther back into the jungle.
OOC- No one post kills. Fight them for a few posts. As of right now we don’t know how to kill them (In a few posts I’ll show how). They regenerate when hit and are about 10 feet tall. Have at!

Prime was becoming rapidly irritated, his gun was quite capable of blowing the golems apart, but every time he did, they just reformed. A golem got close enough to take a swing at him again, just just jumped onto its arm, scampered up to its shoulder, and shit it five times in the head. This, of corse, was totally ineffective. He jumped off the golem before it could swat him. "Alright! You dad knows about this place Rick, how the hell do we kill these thin-" Prime voice cut off as a golem kicked him, sending him flying into a nearby tree. He impacted with a boom, and a splash of blood. The tree cracked in half, and nearly fell on top of him. "Oh hell." He groaned, climbing out from under the tree. He whiped the blood from his forhead, trying to keep it from getting in his eye's. His left arm was broken, and hung uselessly at his side. Another golem was baring down on him. He raised his right arm, gun in hand, and emptied his remaining round into its leg, knocking it over, then struggled to reload one handed.

Zebedee grabbed a nearby skull that had begun to gravitate towards one of the golems, and punted it off into the jungle. It wasn't very much, but it was still a blow to the golems. He then tucked his racquet back into his pack, producing his mace and a fistful of paper packets. He quickly affixed one to his mace, and rushed the nearest titan of bone.
He ducked a swing at his head, and leapt at the creature. He hammered it in the chest, an explosion going off as it contacted. He struck it again, this time with only his raw strength. The creature's arms closed in, trying to trap the holy warrior. Zebedee jumped off of the creature's stomach, and rolled backwards over its arms. He tumbled to the ground, and landed flat on his back. As the creature attempted to stomp on him, Zebedee rolled clear and rocked to his feet, using his forewards momentum to attack again. He swung at its elbow, crushing a few skulls into a powder and then fading back.
Zebedee paused. He was easily the least martially skilled in the group. That he was certain of. He was good, but the others were virtually inhuman in skill even without their powers. His edge was his mind, and he needed to use it now. He hurled his fistful of explosive packets at the creature, all of them detonating upon contact. The blast was enough to severely singe Zebedee and almost knock him off of his feet, and kicked a cloud of dust into the air.
As the debris from the blast settled, Zebedee observed a demolished construct with satisfaction. The skulls that made up its entire torso had been blown to mere sharp fragments of bone, and the limbs were singed and shattered. He started to turn to the next one when he observed movement out of the corner of his eye. He spun back to the creature, which already had almost mended the grievous injury he had dealt it. He stepped back, readying his mace again, as it rose to its accursed feet...
OOC: BEST. TYPO. EVER. Prime.
