95% of missing persons are found, though. People have relationships who will look for them forever. That brings up an interesting plot where politician Zenin eats the wrong person, and his brother/sister/father/mother is actually an ace detective of some sorts.
Anyway, I wouldn't mind expanding Aleta's topside to have more continents. Ship travel is a cool thing to have around. How big are the islands compared to the main continent?
Would you mind if we as a group examined and possibly rebuilt each of the races? I'm seeing some similarities with Bulbs' underside people, too, but like I said, we don't have a complete picture of them since Bulbs is busy with whatever it is he does. (masturbating)
Magite is most commonly found in the desert and I guess under the mountains. Larger, overground veins are found surrounded by oases in the desert, and Telaen have a natural wander near them during their migrations. Tinier veins are found under the mountains. Either way, it's a pretty expensive thing.

Each one is probably actually about 3/4ths the size of Aleta, but one of the major defining features was the huge bridges between each continent, which would probably need to be dropped. I don't mind reworking the races from a cultural standpoint, but their appearances and abilities slot into Aleta pretty well. One race is blue, averages four feet with a bipedal structure and andalite like tails, prefer coastal regions, and consider tops optional in cities and on ships due to their intense naval obsessions. Women included.
Another is basically a human with a more developed frame and size, evolving in a different direction than Corallians, who focused on mental growth instead of physical growth. And with that the Corallians developed a slightly higher average intellect and innate magite.
Also only a very young Zenin would make that sort of mistake, their low population nessesitates an overall higher level of intellect. Lack of experience would be the deciding factor in that situation. However replace the 'is an ace detective' with 'becomes an ace detective' and I'm friction issued free.
Choobeh and I had a chat, and yeah, a mistake like that could be made and recovered from as he's pointed out, so I have no objection. However I still think a more experienced Zenin, we he to live so long, would be less likely to make that sort of mistake.

Prime seems pretty intent on keeping the three island structure of the world, but I'm thinking that geography can be massively retooled so long as we keep the general spirit of the world. I think across the ocean would work for location, and just assume that the current map of Aleta is not the fully explored version. But the problem there would be isolation and lack of interaction. I think that we should leave the northeastern portion of Aleta as the edge of the world, as that's where Kvidera was prior to the meteor strike that broke it apart and created the Reaching Isles. Also, while Kvidera was there, it stretched from the northern ocean into nothingness, which was the whole point in creating the miniature aquasphere.

I was actually thinking Tyr would go on the west rather than the east. Maybe across from Vigrid to the north, or maybe just straight west.

So on a completely different note, I've been playing lots of Dwarf Fortress recently. I was thinking of maybe another flavor race that occupies the lower areas of the Aequians. They'd basically be dwarves, though, which I dislike.
I'll just list some traits that Dwarf Fortress has given me.
-Raging alcoholics (possibly require ethanol in their bodies to function efficiently) -They dig deep and greedily into grand mountain fortresses -Possibly small in stature -Basically communist ants, where a single authority sizes up individuals and decides what work they will do, and they all work together as a hive type thing. -Death is pretty common for them since everything can beat them up. But that's okay because the fortress can replace them with another person. Also they still do try to patch up any wounds. -Highly defensive against outsiders (since everything can kill them or steal their babies or loot), but they value trade, no that's allowed in the not-deep-inside areas. -They march to battle/do their jobs even if they are carrying their babies. -They regularly eat kittens and puppies (among other animals), including the organs, and then turn the leftover bone into crafts or cheap weapons or decorations. -Pretty skilled with mechanical stuff such as gear work driven by waterwheels or windmills. -Can see in the dark.
On some level, they're reminding me of Blood's defensive tower guys. And they're also reminding me of young trolls. And they also seem like they would work with the Alasijian monks due to mechanical expertise.

Anyway, so I ditched the idea of dwarves and just decided the southern Tal-Hydor cities are probably built into the Aequians, right?
If so, tragedy just fell on my fortress, and somehow this randomized game is giving me a great backstory for a standard ch00bs chick.
(i guess it shows something when a procedurally generated video game can make a backstory for my characters)

So, is the gravity different on the under side of Aleta, or would anything not buckled down under there fall off into space? Because I'm thinking of a race of upsidedown owl people that live there, hanging upsidedown all the time, with all of their possession having hooks/latches so that they can hang them too. It's a somewhat silly idea, but I think it could make for fun geography for an exploration topic.

I think the gravity is the same on the underside. It's the floating rocks that have up/down directions.

I don't know about that. Lee hasn't quit in a huff yet and I don't see him doing it then.
Besides. We know where he lives.

They've found Steel Type snails in real life, now. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scaly-foot_gastropodI dunno what this means for us, but surely this can give Choobeh a relevant idea for some creature in Aleta. I'm halfway tempted to go with the idea of insects that accumulate magite naturally, and have a defense mechanism basically reliant on going all "Wild Magic" when smooshed or otherwise harmed. They'd have magite lines all over them, so any damage to them would risk creating an array and making things go kaboom. On the other hand, iron shelled snails are still pretty awesome just on their own merits.

I'm tempted to retcon telaen shell into containing iron istead of ceramic.
Alternatively, the tail tracers have the magite lines/armor.
Alternatively alternatively, yet another big creature with an exoskeleton

You know what Aleta needs? More inland seas so sailing is more important. Also, new proposal: Flying continents held aloft by a race of feather-winged serpents. No, I haven't been reading Order of Tales or remembering the Ellimist, why do you ask? By "flying continents" I actually mean just have them on the highest, sheerest cliffs of the Aequians flying around doing their living thing. Seen in picture is a married Krilitaj (krill li tie) in a formal wrap. You can tell he's married because of the bands around his neck, since a Krilitai cannot reach that area on their own due to the length of their arm wings. ps.the name "Krilitai" is still up for debate. for now it is a stand in that i think works kind of. pps. gdi, Kvidera isn't the name of the womenz place. Where is that post.

Kvidera was a landmass that was once attached to the reaching islands (currently it's kind of orbiting around the Aleta). The islands that you currently have labeled Kvidera were the islands belonging to Collida.
Edit: Ok, I didn't see your ninja edit.

Just superimposed the Mediterranean Sea over the new water region I slapped onto Tal-Hydor, and it looks like everything's about right. The continental US is not as wide as the northern part of the continent and just assume Sky's Reach is ludicrously exaggerated in the map. Or believe that it's taller than the world. Your call.

kinda lives again. retconned some things and fleshed out some things in addition to the map, but at most i'm probably just going to write fanfiction instead of running RPs. i welcome everyone to also write fanfiction as well, or run your own RPs with your own lore branches as I unfortunately don't have much time for more than notes these days.
Some notable notes: - Sky's Reach doesn't take up half the map - Sand whales and giant flying jellyfish now roam the Asayo desert - The Isayoshindika is now the Asayo - The Eliralu is now the Thao Sāe and the Alurile is now the Thao Kwae - Tal-Hydor has nomadic giants with stout legs and noodly torsos - The Zenin are now clawed serpents that can only shapeshift into their victims, not dragons that are like bros. - The Krillitai are now called the зeмaия (semaya) - The Fait-Tirelle and Fait-Fyrdoenn regions being more heavily blocked off makes for a more interesting political dynamic, so introducing the Foerwal Mts and Tircanel Sea - I actually figured out how Telaenians can have a self sustaining culture instead of handwaving. Terraces are built along the slopes of Telaen backs to support rice paddies, with carp and ducks used as pest control during non-planting time. Fruit orchards on the top portion double as bird/bat traps. All agriculture is boosted by magic. Hunting parties are used for more meat. Housing and food storage is also built cantilevered off the sides to maximize farmland. In addition to all this, there is a mercenary culture with Telaenians going off to bring supplemental income to their homes as metal and salt are needed but can only be gotten through trade. Given a Telaen the size of 5-10 football fields, you can probably get a static population of 100-150 Telaenians with that, plus another 50-100 or so flux mercenaries. - Magic got a lot more limited. Something cannot be created out of nothing (as such Honetai human forms are now 6 footers and their shark forms are smaller than average), and some semblance of conservation of energy is required. Written arrays either consume themselves after use or draw power from a bound source like a fire pit or your body heat.
