That's twenty-one characters. You should consider announcing them in threes instead, and letting those three characters demonstrate in any order. It'd be more efficient and the worst that happens is sometimes either you or Elliot is on deck for two characters in the same trio.

I'm leaning towards just having everybody go in order. It's slightly more realistic, and I know that El and I have actually written a few scenes (Garth, Almudena, Emily, and Ben) all in advance, so it's not like it's going to take a long time to slam these up. Assuming 21x12 hours, that's 252, or roughly ten days. Of which, 6 characters are Elliot, and I think 5 are me. Oh, wait, Garth. So 6. So, assuming a worst case scenario, it (16x21), it'll still only take two weeks, and we'll be done with that part of this RP by Pearl Harbor day.
If you think part of the delay will be that I'll have Thyra call everybody up individually, nah, I'm okay with people autoing her for calling people to the front. The only writers here who haven't written extensively with Thyra are Shoni and Merc, and I think they'll be okay.
The aspect I'm most worried about is the one-on-one conferences. I think we should do those back and forth via PM in advance, so that they can go up quickly once finished. There's like 16 students (hard to say if Aodhan and Eira count as a singular), and 5 Faculty, so each faculty member should be talking with 3-4 students. I already get a gut feeling Emily's going to run heavy, though, because she already made herself the most approachable. (I've already written Garth and Thyra's talk, and Almudena and Thyra's talk, too. Garth's talk was originally part of his convo with Thyra, but it ran way too long and pulled too much focus at the start of the RP) If anybody would like to have a character talk with a staff member in specific, say so here, and we'll hook you up best we can.

Silumas, I'm assuming, knew these conferences were coming up, so he won't immediately murderize any students wishing to speak with him. I'll also get started on his Power demonstration. I had thought it was student only, but if faculty are going to get involved, well, I gotta rep to keep up.

Duly noted. You're on after Moose, then. (And interestingly, bar Kilik and Dalisay, it all worked out so that the faculty gets to conclude the performance. ALMOST LIKE I PLANNED IT FROM THE START *steeples fingers*)
Quick question, btw: El, do you want me to have Thyra give her speech after your new characters arrive, or should I instead run ahead of you with my post and have them try to catch up?

I... don't have any more characters to introduce? I was joking about the three sassy, white, competently powerful characters.

Awwww! I was really hoping you were serious about it, and were going to subvert expectations by having it technically be true. (My personal hope was for a psionic gestalt of three albino lab mice that identified as a single personality, and decided that they should seek an education. Naturally, they'd be quite sassy.)

Okay, there's Thyra's big keynote speech. Feel free to react to it as necessary in the following rounds, even as we get into the introductions. Remember; please leave a little time after each demonstration for people to react, even if you're next in line. 6-8 hours should be sufficient. If anybody takes more than 3 days to respond, feel free to skip over them and dismiss them as being in the restroom or such. (They can just pop into the turn order when they get the chance.)
Now, for Ishkabibble...

Eira and Aodhan don't really have a last name sooo maybe they just go last then? It's up to you if you'd like one at a time to go or if you want them together. Together would probably be more showy.

Hold on. “Good morning, and welcome, students and staff of the Terminer Academy for Exceptional Youth. “We, ah, do have a Principal currently on the payroll, but they are currently in deep space in order to deflect an incoming earthbound comet the size of Kentucky. So for the foreseeable future, I’ll be serving both roles.” Wait a minute. Terminer Academy for Exceptional Youth Just one second. Oh my god. "There's a psychic present. Can you hear it?" No, no... “It… it really does sound like him, doesn’t it?” No, that's not quite right... Do you believe that it’s really him, or could someone be trying to lure everyone together again?” No, there's got to be something else...aww yiss ender is still alive AHA
ENDER IS THE PRINCIPAL

So I might need a bit more time because I'd started writing Evelyn's post on my work computer, which I then didn't email to my personal laptop so I'm starting from scratch. Will still aim to be within the 3 day window, but yeah.
Also Lee stop shipping characters when I'm already shipping other characters >=|

No worries, El. Figure that the weekend'll be for anybody who feels the need to respond to Thyra's speechifying.
Also, I'm guessing it's pretty obvious that I'm setting up Thyra as a deliberate foil to Commissioner Williams, isn't it? : 3 I've been wanting to do this for a while, have a character call out the Archipelago and Powers as a whole for how egregiously fucked up the entire ordeal is. I mean, any setting where 14-25 year old assassins and mercenaries make up a double-digit percentage of the population can't be a paragon of mental health. (I'm not saying I don't like the setting, but I think that this is a fairly fresh angle to look at it from.)
Of course, I think Thyra's not exactly right that it's just a matter of raising Powers correctly, since some just want to watch the world burn from the word go. As always, the truth lies somewhere between the two extremes. (It's also pretty obviously hypocritical to go "it's time to show the world you're more than your powers... now let's show off our powers!", though I'm guessing Thyra doesn't see it in that context.)

Re-reading Thyra's speech has me torn between Carlos going to Thyra or Kilik for the one-to-one. On one hand, Thyra and Carlos can bond over trauma (insofar as Carlos has similar trauma and Thyra is growing past it). On the other, Kilik is the most level headed character I have. I am torn.

Who all is going to what teacher? I know for sure: +Thyra: -Garth -Almudena (already wrote both)
As for the others, there's Emily, Belwyn, Kilik, Marius, and Silumas. I'm not sure anybody's going to go to moose, because intimidation factor, but we'll see. I'm guessing Ty might go to Emily, but that is a bit obvious, so not positive on that. I'm holding back on Dalisay and Emma Ray Jo, because both are pretty flexible, and I can put either into dealing with whichever faculty member gets the least attention. (And Emma Ray Jo has a parent teacher conference with Thyra later in another plot, so I'm not going to blow that early.)(Parent teacher conferences won't be a mandatory thing, don't worry; the vast majority of the cast make it nigh impossible.)
(Fittingly, when I went to delete a word, my cursor jumped, and I deleted Garth's name. I really should expect it at this point.)

Ty will most likely go to Emily. It's to perfect of a setup not to take advantage of.
I'm not sure who's going to choose Marius, but they had better like animals.

I was originally thinking that Talia would probably go with Emily, but now after Thyra's speech I'm honestly kind of leaning more in her direction for Talia now.
To be honest though how the staff reacts to her power demo may change things.

Next up are Jesse Chase (Cendra), then Deandre Clarks (Pohatu), and then Mel (Elliot), then Garth. I kept thinking Merc's character is named Talia Caine, which throws me off. Photu, Cendra has a lot of family over right now, so you may need to trump her in turn order.

(We could excuse Jesse taking however long because the Jesse who was occupying her mind had a different last name, and so totally missed her cue. "The called for Jesse Chase! But I'm Jessie Kingsly, so obviously I should wait.")
