Max darted around the corner, with Espy close behind. His eyes darted about, and quickly landed on a cabinet that would do well as a hiding place. It seemed that Max hadn't been the only one to think that, as he saw the disguised Yoshimitsu crouched behind the same cabinet. "About time we ran into each other," he quietly quipped. "OK, we definitely need to stop this Puzzle Master. I've come this far, so count me in. Espy, think you can disguise me with an illusion like what Yoshi's doing?" Espy nodded, and took on a faint glow. A moment later, Max caught sight of a reflection of himself in a nearby sheet of metal. He now looked exactly like Yoshi did.
Max put a hand over his mouth to prevent himself from laughing out loud. It took a few seconds before he was able to uncover his mouth. "Not exactly what I meant, Espy, but it'll work." His voice, still hushed, carried a slight hint of a giggle. Meanwhile, Espy was apparently nowhere to be seen; the little psychic had apparently used some of the illusion to keep itself hidden. Never underestimate Espy, Max thought admiringly. With that, Max turned to the person who had been behind him. "As for you, decide now," he called in a prison-yard whisper. "You can come with us, or you can go back down. Either way, no changing your mind." He turned back to Yoshimitsu. "OK, let's go for it. Espy, if anyone starts getting close without us seeing, let me know."
Though he had not displayed any outward reaction, Max could not help but be amazed at the Pokemon that was now accompanying Yoshimitsu. Mew -- one of, if not the rarest Pokemon known, very powerful, and quite cute. When Max had first seen this particular Mew, it had been in the company of Sly, but the Andalite had, for reasons Max did not know and probably never would, given the catlike Pokemon to Yoshimitsu. Max was a bit jealous, but there was no time to think too much on all of this now. Later, after this business with the Puzzle Master was concluded, maybe.

OOC- Gah! Plotholes! DJ, nothing too major but you might wanna read my post a bit closer. Half the things you put contradicted half of the things I did.
BIC -
"Okay, if that's what I look like, change my appearence, Garde," Yoshimitsu said, smirking. Immediately, his hair fizzled from red to purple, his top following suit. He quickly glanced in a sheet of glass nearby. "We might be twins now. Alright, teleporting up there is too obvious - the Puzzle Master'd pick up on the energy signature, I reck. Let's go."
Yoshimitsu glanced from behind his hiding spot. No one was coming. Perfect. He shot across the corridor, ducking in an alcove as soon as he saw another grunt walking his way. Luckily, the grunt was looking over his shoulder as he walked, so he completely missed Yoshimitsu's quick jump into his hiding place. Yoshimitsu backed up as much as he could, and watched the grunt continue to walk past him. Breathing a sigh of relief, he looked around the corner again and ran up the corridor. Quickly, an idea formed in his head.
"Gardevoir," Yoshimitsu muttered, ducking behind another large cabinet. "Can you disguise me like one of the grunts, then illusion yourself invisible?" Gardevoir nodded, and instantly Yoshimitsu saw his attire change into that same uniform, despite it not actually being there. Then, he saw Gardevoir vanish. "Alright, we should be able to move around a bit better."
Yoshimitsu approached the next flight of stairs.

OOC: Gyah! Almost two weeks I was gone! I don't see any contradictions in my last post, Yoshi, but if you PM me what they are, I'll try to fix 'em.

OOC- For one, Yoshi grabbed Max and dragged him to the hiding place. Two, by the time Max looked back, Yoshi had moved to his next hiding place. I also thought he might be more surprised by Mew's appearence.

OOC: OK, I just reread. I rewrote the first part to make it more like luck that Max ends up in Yoshi's second hiding place; I'm assuming my post to start with Max in Yoshi's first one. As for the reaction to Mew, not sure why I didn't write that part in. Probably, I was just more focused on the rest of the action. Well, that, and Max was at the tournament where Yoshi got Mew, so Max might already have known. If not, well, I can always add an internal reaction bit. I may have to rewrite the ending, with Max addressing Isambard, but again, it'd probably be a wording tweak.

"Holy..." Isambard muttered at the appearance of the Mew, squinting at it slightly. "Can't say that I've ever seen one of those before..." He stopped, thinking, and leaned slightly around the corner to watch the guards. The other two had illusions to cover them, but he'd need to be a bit more crafty. Or not. He really wasn't sure what was going on here, but he did know that if this new guy wasn't B.S.ing him, he had walked right into a hostage situation. He checked again, seeing the guard that Yoshimitsu had bypassed, and stood, waiting for him. He drew his Pokéball from his bandolier with a quiet click. A moment later, a ball shot by the grunt's head, smacking into a potted plant with a rustle. A red light emitted from the ball, taking the form of a large, ostrich like bird, with three writhing necks. It was about to make a noise, but was quieted by Isambard, who gestured for its silence. The lacky looked up in shock, and turned to see where the Pokemon had came from, only to be caught in chokehold by Isambard, who dragged him off to the side. The man struggled against his grip, but Isambard's arms had been strengthened by the years of manual labor, and it was in vain. The man gave one last flail, his elbow hitting Isambard in the ribs, and then slumped. Isambard then reached to the man's belt, snagging two Pokeballs from it, and then shoved the man into the space behind the vending machine. He then darted across the room, hiding as best he could at a spot slightly behind the other two. "All I can say is thank goodness for this modern architecture, whatwith all of the nooks and crannies." Isambard grunted. "Of course, it helps that you two can hide in illusions and such." He gestured for his Dodrio, which cleared the room in one leap, carrying its Pokeball in its mouth. He returned it to the sphere, and then darted around the corner, into where Max was presently lurking. "I'll follow behind you two, I guess. I can't be as stealthy as either that kid up front, or whatever wilderness-ace you happen to be, so I'm gonna hang back." Isambard whispered, snapping the three Pokeballs onto his bandolier. "I'm not comfortable with theft, but if that thug can't use them when he wakes up, and I can, it's for the best." OOC: I probably just blew the mission.

OOC: We'll see. I don't think so, but then, Yoshi has the reins for this subplot. Speaking of which, Yoshi, added a Mew reaction on my previous IC post.
BIC: "Ranger, Safari Zone. Name's Max Milen," whispered Max, in an almost knee-jerk response to the trainer's comment. "I never did catch your name." Then, the implications of what had just happened began to sink in. Max smiled slightly, and shook his head. "I don't approve of theft, but at least that's one threat we won't have to worry about. We'd better be careful, though. Doesn't look like that guy was able to alert anybody, but there'll probably be more people around on the higher floors. That means more chance a stunt like that will get us discovered."
At that, Max heard a soft squeal in his ear. It was Espy. "Crud," he said, making a fist with his right hand and lightly hitting his left. "Espy can't keep up the illusion. So much for that part of the plan." As he said that, the illusion dissipated, and Max again looked like his normal self, complete with Safari Ranger uniform, while his faithful psychic friend stood very close to him. "Espy, let Yoshi's Gardevoir know about the illusion, then check whether the coast is clear." Espy nodded silently, and took on a faint, light blue glow. Three seconds later, the glow faded, and Espy pointed its tail towards the nearby staircase. "OK, friend," Max said. "Let's go, quickly. There's no time to lose."

"Isambard Zonis. I make trinkets for the cruddy dollar stores," He responded, smiling despite the comment. He checked the two Pokeballs again, seeing if there were any labels, and then sighed. There wasn't so much as the slightest sign on either ball of what they might contain, and he HAD knicked them off of another trainer, so they probably wouldn't obey him immediately.
"Looks like all I've got to help out is my Dodrio, and as you're seen, Monaco and I aren't exactly stealthy folks. I'd try to blend in, but I think that they're coordinated enough that they'd recognize another person popping up in their midst," Isambard shook his head, "And they'll catch us all if I try to sneak."
"Oh, wait," A look of inspiration crossed Isambard's normally tired face.
"Is there an elevator here?"
