Oh, I was aware of Gardevoir, and in fact considered his signature Pokemon. It's just that Mega-Gardevoir doesn't whet my appetite quite as much with combat/choreography options, since it's a fairly straight increase in amplitude, whereas Mega-Medicham has those wacky vector arms. That enable six armed combat, and with a much more acrobatic and agile fighter than Machamp, to boot.
If nobody else is gonna Mega-Medicham, I'm thinking I'll give one to a one-off battle at some point. Seems fun.
(Mega-Pinsir is pretty sweet, too, but fits NONE of my four characters. Why couldn't there be a Mega-Wormadam, Pidgeot, Victreebell, or Dodrio?)

So, what are we looking at for angles here for Mega-Evolution? Lone's Angle: Ban it, or at least keep it limited to Ubers (Trainers venerable enough for access to Legendaries) Lee's Angle: Special it. Have it as an option, but only for one or two Pokemon per trainer, and scarce all the same El's Angle: Legendary it. Have it require a plot unlock, and require approval first.
So really, Lone and El are pretty compatible. That's two votes for Legendarying it, and one for Specialing it. Blood, Pohatu, where do you guys weigh in?
(As an aside to Lone, PRP tiers are... weird. Move depth is the most important stat, followed by badass points, followed by choreographic flexibility... It's a pretty unique system where Clefairy, Onix, and Magcargo are all top tier, and Wobuffet, Blissey, and Skarmory are all fairly useless in comparison to the normal games.)

Anyways, Special Pokemon fall under the following: -Shiny (Don't know if we've got any present examples.) Oh, I was aware of Gardevoir, and in fact considered his signature Pokemon. Just gonna leave this here.

I would say that they should be treated like legendaries, except for the part where it's limited to one of a certain kind per person. The games introduce the concept by making you fight a Mega Lucario against another Mega Lucario, so I don't think saying that there's only one of the items around would hold much weight.
