so, anywho, six years after relevancy, I find the perfect song for Thyra, pre-Slateport incident.
Almost makes me want to do an "EARLY Cherrygrove RP" starring pre-Zebedee Zebedee, pre-powers Thyra, and pre-RAAAGE Natalie. And Ender. That's a cool kid too. Of course, the list of RPs to go through BEFORE then is staggering, so it may be a long while. (Bonus points if we excuse any continuity snarls by having Ender mindwipe everybody at the end.)
Also, more Nopcsa music:

Oh shit! When you said "Rie and Ysane don't work" I thought you meant those tracks don't work for the characters musically. I didn't even realize the links were broken! A durr durr durr Here's Ysane then.

Whenever I hear this song, I think Ysane:
Not quite right, but I think it's got some of the feel. If only Ysane was actually Joan Crawford, eh?

Kid Charlemagne by Steely Dan is great for writing Miko when he's not breaking faces.

Hasen No Asana, the theme for the token Indian chick from Super Robot Wars. Works pretty well for Laksha, too, though this is another song she'll have to "grow into".
Warning: "Work safe" but pretty heavy on cheesecake.

COOL. Also on the list of music Laksha will have to grow into, absolutely all of Madlib's "Beat Konducta Vol. 3-4: India". Samples here. Especially that last track (1:15ish on). Yeah!!!!!!!!

For some reason Hasen No Asana makes me think of Fearless Challenger (Guidance Gate) from La-Mulana.

As an outside perspective, I'd have to say that the song is by far the closest thing to my mental template for a good Terrian song. Good beat, complex, and kicks butt without kicking enough butt to rouse one's mind into ACTION SCENE MODE. I'd say for now, it's the definitive Terrian theme song.

It's really nice to have found a song for Esther that actually feels right for her musically, considering she's been one of my most elusive characters to... whatever the sound equivalent of "visualize" is. It's also nice that that music is so goddamned lovely it almost makes me cry, and that the lyrics are weirdly appropriate.

I can't find a good link for the song right now, but I think that "Down the Road" by Kansas is a good fit for something. I'd say the Brogues and Rogues... But it seems to only fit Jonas in feel, though.

Godzilla 1989 is a great song for Light and Darkness Collide. It really fits the feeling of fighting an invincible perversion of nature, with a lot of drive accompanied by a feeling of underlying horror.
Pair that up with Invasion from Bleach, and you've got the spirit of the plot distilled.

This is Ally all the way. I finally have a song to listen to when writing her posts. That should help a lot!

I'm not sure if I've posted this one or not, but Volkner was inspired by this song. It fits him quite well.
