It's been way too long since we've had a topic like this, and I think that we've gone a long enough time that there will some major changes.
Zebedee Taylor: Consuming Fire-Third Day: The song is very inspiring and powerful, speaking with passion about one's faith. It encapsulates Zebedee's dedicated spirit and will to sacrifice himself to achieve his goals.
Sylvia Natalie Ulima: Life During Wartime- The Talking Heads: A song that is truly funky enough to express Nat's almost superhuman vitality and spunk. The lyrics approach the terrors of war from an almost nonchalant stance and attitude, which is totally in line with Natalie's fearless nature.
Miko: Lightning's Hand- Kansas: Still. Come on, a song bursting with pride, righteous fury, and boasting about commanding a godly power? That song is so Miko that I fear it may never change.
Joseph: Fine Again-Seether: The bleak despair of the song seems to just so totally fit Joseph's whole "I blew it at life and there's no chance of ever fixing it." outlook.
I'm off to see if I can find YouTube links for said songs, just in case anybody wants to hear them.

Vincent would get A Song of Storm and Fire from Tsubasa Chronicles - elegant, yet challenging. He's willing to fight, but he has a certain air to his personality and style of combat.
Yoshimitsu would get Can't Repeat by The Offspring - the lyrics combined with the fast-paced, rock-fuelled-ness of it. He lives a fast-paced life, but he still basically lives in the past.
Araini, as I still use him, would get You're Not Alone! from FFIX, and Killer, by the Hoosiers. You're Not Alone!, the music is melodramatic and meaningful, representing his slightly darker past. Killer represents his life now, as he lives it. Especially with the line "There's a killer and he's coming after you."

So I've totally thought about this, but I forgot what the songs for my chars are. :3 I think part of Vieve's idea may have been inspired by A Change of Seasons, particularly this section of the song: Preparing for her flight I held with all my might Fearing my deepest fright She walked into the night She turned for one last look She looked me in the eye I said, 'I Love You...Good-bye'Vieve was originally going to be someone who was one with the night after some tragic death or some such like that. Ysane gets The Spell, by Kamelot. I don't know what the quality of that song is, since the office comp doesn't have sound. The rest of my characters, I don't know/remember. I could pretend that Ender gets 'House Full of Bullets' by Joe Satriani, since he has a gun that can fill a house with bullets, but it's a guitar song with no lyrics.

I'd say that Dace, Durant, and Laksha should get a shared theme song, in my opinion. Since they're becoming a sort of RP Trifecta, it makes sense with the structuring of the chorus. www.dizzler.com/index.search.dv8?f=1&q=Desreewww.lyricsmania.com/lyrics/desree_lyrics_92/endangered_species_lyrics_424/you_gotta_be_lyrics_4953.htmlThere's one line towards the beginning that doesn't fit, but beyond that, it's pretty spot on. For full effect, envision the trainer and/or their Pokemon for each respective part of the three part "Gotta be" line of the chorus. E.G. "You gotta be bad (Dace), you gotta be bold (Durant), you gotta be wiser (Laksha)", and then their Pokemon in a different order for the next line.

Oh yeah, Lee, I remember that song. Good stuff. Still, though, as suggested in "This is how you remind me...", I put forth this as Laksha's current individual main theme, and this is Laksha's theme when she gets older and more experienced and rockin' enough to support such a badass remix (1:04 - Ganesh the Donphan roars into motion around the battlefield).

Hmmm... I wonder what Dace's solo theme would be? It would have to be something cute and fast moving. I'll need to get back to you guys on that one.

I think Durant's theme (right now) would be Ohayou. Mind you I can't say that for sure because the character hasn't grown enough. I'm getting a better feeling for him, but he hasn't shown himself enough to give much better than that.
Gotta say though, he definitely is one of those kids that can be called a "morning person"

Now placing tongue in cheekThis. Lord of the Lamp. Yeah. Lee offers unwanted suggestions for the rest of Photu's characters, since it's fun to do. This.This.This. My suggestion for Terrian's theme song. Themesongeryishness! Rhometer's theme. I could see him inadvertently causing a mass extinction trying to enact the first two lines of the song. And, but of course... Tanner's theme.

I dig the sentiment behind "So Long Self", but it's too much rock and not enough jazz to be a theme song for Terrian. Musical genre is important here: if lyrics had the only significance, I'd suggest this song based on the chorus. Similarly, although your vision is absolutely hilarious, no way would Rhometer's song be an R&B ballad. It's got to be something batshit insane. Something like Bohemian Rhapsody. Not Bohemian Rhapsody. But something like that, what with the jarring style shifts and all. And I hate to shut down "Roll the Bones" because the lyrics really are dead on, but once again, rock mixed with elements of rap is definitely a far cry from the King of Clubs. Still, though, A+ for lyrics. But I can't help but imagine that Tanner's theme will end up being something classical that doesn't even have lyrics.

Better off Alone, by Alice Deejay IIRC, seems like a pretty good Thyra piece these days.
Oh, and just about anything by Gwen Steffani that isn't obscenely popular reminds me of Achenes. (Hollaback Girl and Sweet Escape, though, remind me of my need to strangle whoever let those songs be released from the bowels of hell.)
And yes, all of my suggestions were rather facetious. I just need to wait for another character of yours so I can make another stupid suggestion.

Ooh, good call on that one. I can envision some madcap, ballsy, Terrian filled sequences to that.
And maybe Rhometer/HP's song should be just that. A very deliberate, almost mechanical portion, and then a part that's totally wild. Like industrial or techno into polka or scat.

This ain't necessarily Rho/Hig's theme song, but it's definitely Rhometer angry, or something. I just listened to this in my world music class and it is such a mindfuck. It's going to haunt my nightmares. (Thematically appropriate, too, since this is a genre heavily associated with a tradition of shadow puppetry.)

This, currently, would be Prime. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rv5OVOrn0V8Though certain elements of his existence can only be described by badass rock songs. Not sure about my other characters. Hmm, have to get back to you on Sero and Eragon for sure.

Just a Girl by No DoubtThis one would HAVE to be Achenes theme. Huddle Formation by the Go! Team. Dace's theme. Lyrics don't matter much, though they all fit her attitude pretty perfectly. The tune is what really captures her, a sort of bittersweet melody with a lot of energy and life.

Maybe Rhometer's theme. "Desordre" by Gyorgy Ligeti, the greatest modernist composer alive. Damn... that performance is even looser and less structured than the recording I have on CD... This is intense stuff.

I think Aaron from AK would have to have something dancey for his theme. I'm gonna say either the Mike Doerr remix of Shake It by Metro Station or just the normal version. Both are suitably dancey
