Dave paced the small cell that had been given to him and James; they had been taken here by some members of the APCARP. He was caged in, and he didn't like it. They were working up for escape anyway, the sooner the better.
"Dude, when the hell are we going to get out of here? This place is driving me fucking nuts," he said to James. He was pissed off. The guards had basically beaten him to try get him to join the APCARP. He had killed two of them when it happened, and now he had a power suppressor on his wrist, stopping him from doing anything major.
"We have to--" Dave was interrupted as a guard knocked and passed two trays of food through a hatch at the bottom of the door. "Great, more crappy food. Makes my day this does," Dave drawled sarcastically. He finished quickly, and started pacing again.

"I'm tired of this, I've almost fully recovered. I think it's time we got out of here. But hell, I'm glad I don't have one of those power supressors on my wrist, that thing looks like it hurts." James reached out with his telekinesis and unlocked the mechanism: the wristband fell to the floor with a dull metallic thud. "Doesn't look like we can get out of here the silent way though, so stand back."
James pushed Dave up against the back wall, and fired up with pyrokinesis. A small explosion blew the lock out a moment later, and they were both out into the corridor. "So what now Dave? I was asleep when they shoved us in there."

Dave threw his fist forward; it met the gut of a guard that had just reached to knock out James. The guard was neatly knocked down the corridor and he landed slumped against the wall, dead.
"This way," Dave said as he pointed down the corridor. "Whatever you do, head down. The further you go up, the deeper you are in their base." He ran down the corridor, James on his heels. He skidded round the corner and came face-to-face with a patrol.
Dave smiled and reached his arm at lightning speed to the sword that was hanging by one guard's waist. He drew it out, thrusting it through the stomach of one guard, and he swiftly kicked the other into the wall, knocking him out. He pulled the sword out of the guy's stomach and wiped it on his jacket.
"You'd think they'd actually be trained?" he asked James conversationally. Dave started down the corridor again, stopping at a door and wrenching it open. "Aha stairs! After you." He motioned for James to go first. Dave couldn't have all the fun.

James nodded, and headed up the steps. Psionically, he manifested a beam of energy out of the palm of his hand, running down to his ankle. As they reached the top of the steps, three more guards burst through. He grabbed the first by the chest and threw him back towards Dave, then stabbed the second man though the chest, and telekinetically blasted the last into the hall behind him, and into a concrete wall.
He walked out into the hallway, looked to both sides, but all he could see were dead ends. "Must be some kind of trick to getting around in here," he said over his shoulder to Dave. He looked up, and blasted a hole right through the ceiling, revealing the floor above. He lifted Dave through it, then jumped up, and pulled himself onto more stable terrain as well. "Lead on!"

"As you wish," Dave replied as he led James on through another hall. He turned another corner and could hear guards trying to track them, probably just finding the hole in the floor. There was a door ahead, but before he could reach it a few guards piled out, all pointing guns at James and Dave. Dave smiled slightly.
One of the guards laughed at him. "What are you smiling at, kid?" he chortled at the two breakouts. "You're either gonna go back to your cell or you're gonna die, which is it?"
Dave nearly laughed aloud. "Neither," he said simply. Dave threw his sword at the one who had laughed; it embedded itself in his face. Before the others could shoot, Dave had covered the distance and had jump-kicked one in the stomach, launching him at the other, who received a kick in the face.
"Fun stuff this, eh?" he asked James. Dave didn't really like hurting people, but when they deserved it, he got satisfaction out of it. "Mind blowing another hole in the ceiling? We've reached another dead end."

James nodded. He looked up to the ceiling, and blew it through, lifting Dave up through it, then himself. He shook his head; he was starting to get a bit of a headache now. "Damnit, concentrating like that is a pain in the ass," he growled.
He ran down another few corridors, Dave right behind him, before running into yet more guards. He snarled, lashed out with his pyro abilities, and burnt them all to a crisp.
A few more steps, and another door later, he found more stairs up. "Oh hell, how many floors do we have to go?!" He could hear armored men approaching from behind, so he knocked out some more flooring, creating a 10-foot-deep hole in the floor, which he didn't think they'd be able to jump. "Come on, let's get the fuck out of here," he said, heading up the stairs.

"Yes, let's," Dave agreed, as he followed James up the stairs, grabbing yet another sword from a dead body. He basically tore the door from the hinges at the top and flung himself through. They had arrived in a square room. Everything was white, except for two black chairs in the middle of the room... almost as if they had been waiting for the heroes.
"What d'you think?" he asked James. "A trap?"
He walked toward one of them. Something sprang out of the wall at him; he spun and ducked as it sailed over his head. Dave's reflexes had increased tenfold, since he had been in this prison. "Okay, well I don't think we should go near the damn chairs. What do we do?" he asked.

James pulled Dave in behind him. He reached out with his psionic abilities, and pushed down on the chairs, as if he and Dave were sitting on them. A giant concrete pillar fell down from the ceiling, crushing both the chairs, and landed barely an inch from James' nose. James stared at it for a moment.
"Holy shit!" he yelled, looking left and right around the pillar. He found a little green button on the side of the pillar, and pressed it. Right beside him, a ladder shot down and landed with a bang. He looked up, but all he could see was darkness. "I guess we go up," he said to Dave, before heading up the ladder towards the surface.

Dave followed him up quickly. They climbed at a steady rate, speeding up every so often. It seemed hours before James smashed his head on something metal. Dave chuckled as James cursed. He pushed the barrier open and light flooded into the narrow space. Dave climbed out behind James and looked around. They were in the middle of nowhere. A barren wasteland, or was it? Maybe it was an illusion, another stupid childish trick, by the APCARP.
"What now? Are we really outside? Or is it an illusion?" Dave said angrily. He was pissed -- they had gotten so far and now it seemed like they had gotten nowhere, seeing as they were probably in the middle of nowhere. He could see now why others had failed to escape and had died. They probably got crushed by the pillar, or died in this wasteland.

"I'll be fine," the girl said, her hair rustling slightly in the dry desert wind. "According to my previous attempts at freedom, I should tell you what kind of stuff will happen. Several automatic devices should tag you with homing beacons fired from a distance, and in around thirty minutes, there will be an actual response. They'll jump on you using teleportation and invisibility." She shrugged. "Ten tries. I know."

"Well, I've no desire to get pegged with yet another dart." He grabbed the girl and Dave, and levitated them all about fifteen feet off the ground, before accelerating madly across the desert, scanning with his mind. "I've found a town, about thirty miles north north west, I can get us within five miles, but then I'm gonna have to sit down, and we'll walk to rest of the way," he said to them both.
Ten more minutes found them five miles away from the town. They could see it in the distance, but James had a feeling that the government would have a few things waiting for them.

Dave could see the town in the distance. It looked kind of run-down, but no doubt they'd find somewhere to rest and eat (properly) until they decided what they were going to do. Dave took point, James and the girl following behind. It was hot, and the path was tough, with holes and sharp rocks protruding out of the ground at odd angles. They soon arrived on the outskirts.
"Stay quiet and stay close," he said quietly. He had no doubt that there would be APCARP members around, watching for any escapees that actually made it this far. They walked slowly onto what seemed the main road, which ran through the middle of the town. It was quiet: there was no one around. Strange for a small town. Surely it would be busy or quite lively.
"Something is not right," he muttered to himself, scanning around him. Something caught his eye in the shadows, like someone watching. He didn't make any obvious note that he saw anything, but he murmured quickly and quietly to James out of the corner of his mouth: "James, shadow over there by the postal office, what do you sense?"

James reached out with his expanded mind, and encountered a soldier, who seemed to be extremely tense. "Soldier," James said to Dave. He scanned the area more thoroughly. "Fifty soldiers in the town."
He frowned, then reached out to the closest soldier's mind and shut it down. He watched the shadow fall into light, then spasm for a moment, before finally lying still. "Forty-nine."

Dave laughed at James' amusing words. Forty-nine soldiers left. He wouldn't need to go near even a quarter of them, and he wasn't going to kill them. That would just bring the APCARP here, and these soldiers were not part of that organization... yet.
"Okay, listen up. We need to grab supplies, find where the guards sleep when their shift is over. There should be a lot of supplies there," Dave explained. "Try not to kill them, just knock them out," he added just so they wouldn't go around causing mass murders. He nodded and silently ran into a near alley to the back streets for signs of where the guards stayed.
Dave peered around a corner at the end of the alley way. The town was like a fortress, its streets and rooftops patrolled by guards. Even if the guards' house was heavily defended, it would be hard to point out which one it was. Again he ran across the street silently, but this time there were guards walking down the alley way he had just arrived in. He ducked behind a dumpster just in time. They strode past, talking in low whispers that Dave couldn't decipher.
He was about to make his way again when he felt a rifle barrel being pointed at the back of his neck.
"Stand up slowly, throw the sword away," a calm voice ordered. Dave did as he was told. "Walk forward, slowly. You're coming to see the boss," the soldier sneered, now jabbing the rifle into Dave's back.
"I don't think so," Dave replied. He spin-kicked high into the air and his foot connected with the soldier's hip, making him stagger slightly. But his gun went off, a loud echoing BANG.
"Shit," said Dave simply, as he planted a fist in the soldier's face and knocked him out cold. No burns this time. Dave could hear movement all around, orders being shouted to go find out what happened. Dave had no way of escape. He had to try what he had been learning for the past few weeks, invisibility.
He concentrated; he could feel the light around him bend, making him invisible to all but those to whom he wanted to be visible. Four soldiers ran down the alley, one in red, three in blue, they skidded to a halt, eyeing the knocked out soldier.
"Heh, looks like he got drunk and fired his gun again by accident, probably passed out afterwards," laughed what seemed the leader of them, the one in red. "Grab him and carry him to the guard house, it'll be a court marshal for him when he wakes," the red soldier said. They grabbed him by the arms and dragged him away. Dave simply followed: Free passage to the guard house, with his new power controllable.

The girl crept into the shadows, following the other two. Her hair seemed almost to stand on end, the fine hairs on her arms literally raised slightly. Her powers were too close-range to fight men with guns effectively. So she'd need to improvise.
"Either of you see any guns that have silencers?" she whispered, following them cautiously.

OOC: Lee, I think he wanted us to split up...but no use crying over spilt milk! Lol.
BIC: James reached out to the guards' minds, and changed their perspective, so they didn't notice that he and the nameless woman were there. He didn't need to cover for Dave, who could hide himself pretty effectively, it seemed. James followed him into the guard house, and left Dave to fend for himself, walking down a side corridor and looking for a supplies room. He stopped just before entering. "Hey, uh, girl? Oh hell, fuck it. I'm just gonna call you Stray until you decide to come out with a name. Okay, Stray, most of the guards probably have silenced pistols in a place like this, its one of those places where they'd want to remain unnoticed. That's why that other idiot has a court marshal awaiting him, so I'd suggest you just find the guards' room, and pillage them for whatever you need." He whispered, "Oh, and my telepathic abilities won't be able to hide you from now on, so you'll have to watch your own ass." He slipped off down the corridor like a shadow.
He came to the end of the corridor, and took a left, heading deeper into the building. He found the armory, which was locked up quite tightly, not that he cared. He gave the mechanism a nudge with his telekinesis, and opened the door. "Well, it seems she should've come with me," he whispered. He scanned the room, looking for something he liked. He eyes stopped on a high-caliber sniper rifle with silencer, which would probably come off rather easily if he needed it to. He walked across the room, and picked the rifle up. He swung it across his back cross-wise, grabbed a belt, and shoved a few boxes of ammunition into the belt pouches. He left the room, leaving the door unlocked, but shut behind him.
He headed further into the building, eventually finding the galley, where several officers were making small talk in forced voices. He reached out with his telepathy, and changed himself into just another faceless officer in their minds. He walked into the room confidently, but without arrogance, and made his way into the kitchen, where he immediately dropped the guise and headed into the meatlocker. He grabbed a bag, into which he shoved a few hunks of meat, cheese, and bread. He then grabbed four two-gallon jugs and filled them with water, tying them to the pack. His mission, sort of, accomplished, he headed back out to the front of the building, carefully avoiding detection, to wait for the others.

OOC- Welp, I do believe Airin's got left behind BIC- Airin sat, shivering in his cell. The man who wouldn't leave him alone called it a "dormitory" but it looked just like what you found in a prison. He moved a pile of potatoes around on his plate, thinking deeply. "The Man" was getting more satisfied with every passing day, having learned how to make the boy's Powers come into play, but Aero was more than sick of being ambushed by flocks of half-trained assassins. His body ached from the nonstop fighting, and he felt drained in a different way as well. When the others had made their escape, he had almost gotten to his feet before stopping. He'd undoubtably be a burden on them, and didn't care to get killed in an uncertain escape attempt. "Hmm," he hummed in a cheery tone. Sticking a load of tasteless mash in his mouth, he blinked suddenly as a loud curse sounded from down the hall. He leaped to his feet, fork dangling from his lips. Someone was talking in low voices to another person; angrily too. Apparently the guard count was way low. And I can't keep saying that it's okay to be in APCARP now... he realized. Swallowing with difficulty, he inched toward the outermost wall of his cell, wondering how he could use his fright-reacting powers. He concentrated harder on the conversation. "...still isn't able to use... of free will." "Any ways to... permanently open?" "...that we know..." Stiffening with alarm, he got the feeling that he was the center of gossip. His throat tightened, and his skin went from feeling chilly to inflamed. Flashes of embers whipped around him, and as he placed his hands on the wall, the stone rumbled slightly before exploding. * He came to a skidding stop in the front of a room, perfectly... eerie. Bleached white walls and two innocent chairs. "Nowhere but forward," he muttered sarcastically, then stepped closer to one of the jet-black chairs. Nothing... nothing... his eyes narrowed as a lightning-fast object shot out at him, and whipped his hand out in a "draw technique", a sword of fire crackling. He sighed tersely before continuing. After pacing the room's perimeter (and encountering more than several more "flying objects", he glared accusingly at the chairs and kicked one. A fraction of a second before the pillar came hurtling down. A column of air engulfed Airin, combating the deadly trap. The two forces competed for a minute before the air increased in power -- shoving the block upwards. The gigantic thing ground into the ceiling momentarily before lifting skyward. For all around there was a slight rumble, then an explosion of rock and air. After the pillar had fallen back to earth, the cyclone dispersed, blowing sand everywhere. Aero landed blindly at the top of the used-to-be ladder, wobbling. Then he fell flat on his face, the remains of a seeming-typhoon or whirlwind about him. OOC-Overpowered? Meh. I hadta catch up slightly...and yes, they reset the trap >.> I'm tired. And wanna figure out how to start my story. *walks off sleepily towards kitchen*

"Stray, eh? Never did get an APCARP codename," the girl said, smiling cryptically. "That'll be my name until I feel like using another." She began looking around cautiously, and snuck off from the rest of the group. Some strange wind had pushed through her hair, from the ACARP building, and she had felt the vibrations of another pillar descending there. She snatched up the lids to a pair of garbage cans, and waited for the other two to return. She'd need help getting back, be it by flight or by stealing a vehicle.

OOC - Sorry for the delay in post. Just haven't felt up to it 'till now.
BIC -
Dave had grabbed some packs of supplies while the others had gotten what they needed in the guard house. He carefully walked into the next room, and was shocked with what he saw. Weapons all around, not automatic weapons, but swords, halberds, axes. Dave was drawn to only one: a dagger, with a foot-long blade. Dave smirked at that thought. Who called a dagger with a foot-long blade, a dagger?
He took the dagger along with a black varnished sheath, fastened it to his belt, and headed out. He glanced at James as he exited through the front; the guards had either been knocked out, were dead, or had vanished. He didn't speak to James, as the girl who had accompanied them to this town was talking to some guy. A guy Dave recognized from the APCARP. Dave swore. Several times.
He dumped all the bags of supplies on James and vanished from view, as he ran towards the APCARP member. Having the advantage of being "invisible", he stopped just short of his target and threw a punch to the face, following though with a kick to the stomach.

James summoned up his telekinetic and pyrokinetic abilities, lifting all the various objects out of his arms and over his head in a twisted version of a halo, twenty feet in diameter. He lashed out with his fire, instantly turning the ground beneath the dragon's feet molten white, as hot as James could generate at his current power level. He then reached out with his mind, and pulled the molten ground into a sphere around the draconic form, trapping it within. He generated a great wind to cool rapidly the newly-formed prison, leaving it as hard as tempered iron.
He looked to his left and right, spotted a jeep and pulled it over towards them with his mind, dumping all their various personal effects in the back. He lifted Dave into the driver's seat and Stray in beside him, then jumped in himself. "Get us the fuck out of here Dave!"

Dave shifted gears and slammed down on the throttle, driving onto the bumpy desert track. They were heading for the APCARP prison again. Dave knew they had to go back. They had left a lot of people behind. Probably good people, that they needed in the fight against the APCARP. He swerved through a lot of debris that had not been there earlier, and skidded the automobile to a stop at a gaping hole, where the ladder and entrance to the APCARP used to be.
Dave got out. "So much for going back down. We won't be able to get back out without a lot of effort," Dave muttered. He noticed a boy at the edge, lying on the floor, not moving. Dave ran over, and knelt down next to him, checking for a pulse and finding one. He flipped the boy over. "Not a guard, must be one of us," Dave shouted. He didn't even know if James had seen him too. He grabbed the kid round the waist and heaved him over his shoulder, carrying him carefully to the car.
Dave threw him into the back seat. The boy landed with a thump. "Well that's gonna leave a mark," Dave chuckled; he got back in the driving seat and started the jeep once again, and drove. South.

James wiped the sweat off his brow, and looked into the back seat for a moment. Dave and Airin, the kid they'd seen when this whole shit started, were back there, sleeping. Well, James supposed Airin was still unconscious, as he hadn't woken up yet. It'd been two days now, and everyone was getting worried about him. Beside him, Stray too seemed fast asleep, though he could never tell with her. He didn't even know what she could do yet, but he had a suspicion she could take care of herself.
He floored the gas, hitting a hundred and thirty down the freeway. They were only a few miles from the Mexican border now, and he thought they'd be pretty safe there, while they planned their next move. He checked the rear view mirror, and swore when he saw a cop gaining on them, his lights switched on. He pulled over onto the side of the road, and decided on how this could work to his advantage. The gears clicked into place, and suddenly he was more than content to wait as the cop walked up round the side of the jeep. He had just started speaking when James forced the cop's mind to sleep, and he fell limply to the ground.
James grabbed the cop's keys and unlocked the cop car's doors. He relocated Dave into the back of the cop car, along with Airin, and put Stray in the front seat like she was before. He closed all the doors, turned the AC all the way up, and headed off towards the Mexican border.
They passed through without incident, using the express lane. Border guards never bothed official vehicles, which James had bloody well known when he'd taken the damn car. He drove along the coastline, pulling to the side of the road near a large stretch of jungle. (According to the map anyways.) He started waking everyone up, except Airin, who couldn't be woken as of yet. "Hey Dave, I think we can stay in there for a while, while we work out what the fuck we're gonna do."

Almost reluctantly, Airin's eyes flickered. A small flash of teal marked his awakening, and he began to sit up slowly. He managed to get a few inches up before a tight pain throughout his body caused him to lose his ground. Gasping as his head collapsed back onto the hard surface, he tried to remember what had happened.
He recalled (with some struggle) breaking out of his cell out of panic. He remembered the flight through the headquarters, and entering a room that was a setup. He had deflected a hoard of objects... and there were chairs, too. He had approached them finally... then... sat down on one. Well, that was stupid, he mused over his immobile body.
After that he only recalled winds... lots of them. Now he was... well... here. Gazing up by default at a baby blue sky. He swallowed nervously, feeling vulnerable, and called out desperately.
"Hello?"
He shifted on the back seat of some kind of car, but felt a stern freezing of his joints when he attempted to bend his arm. He looked up nervously at the roof of the vehicle, partly longing for company, and partly worried at what kind of company he was in.
OOC-Only short 'cause he can't do anything right now~~
