To those who don't have posting requirements: You don't want these horrible, hateful heaps who help hurt hearts.

Lee, at least you don't have to write in alliterative strong stress. I wrote the script to a Beowulf movie in alliterative strong stress. Let me tell you, it was hell.

THE FIRST NIGHT HAS BEGUN!
Ordinarily I'd lock this topic at this point, but I'll keep it open until all the boxes have been claimed. That's if anyone can bear to risk opening another box.
MAFIA MEMBERS: Go to the Xanga now to make your decision.
DOCTOR: You may PM me throughout the course of the next two real-time days naming a townsperson to protect.
DETECTIVE: You may PM me throughout the course of the next two days naming a townsperson to investigate.
VIGILANTE: You may PM me throughout the course of the next two days naming a townsperson to fire at.
THIEF: You may PM me throughout the course of the day naming a townsperson to rob.
EVERYONE: You may still open boxes, purchase items, or PM me choosing to use items throughout the course of the next two days.

Kevin tiptoes into the box room while he thinks everyone is sleeping. Unfortunately, it seems that box 34 was outfitted with security measures. As soon as he touches it, the lights start to flash and a siren goes off. Kevin snatches the fifteen denarii from inside the box and high-tails it out of there before anyone else can investigate.

I'll perform a prizeoscopy on Box 16. Multiples of eight elate everybody except evil Edward.

The Pokeball bounces off box 21, which shimmers red for a moment. Then it shrinks, and it is sucked into the Pokeball. Andurin cheers until he realizes that he's kind of taken a step backward as far as the whole figuring out what's inside the box... thing... goes. Reluctantly he releases box 21 from the Pokeball and opens it up, plucking out another shield.
"I'm so sorry, box 21, but I have to let you go," says Andurin. "Good luck in the wild. I'll never forget you! Farewell, box 21! Farewell!" He turns away, disconsolate, and weeps a single tear.
Box 21 just kind of sits there.

In instances I'd instantly incline towards 12, but 16 is a delicious multiple of eight. So 16 it is. Or, if 16 has somehow been taken, 12.

Box 29 holds another yummy shield (it's no secret that this is the most common prize), but it's kinda stuck. Baboon has to get a knife and cut the box open before he can take the shield. No one asks how he came up with a knife so quickly.
There is a collective groan as Lee picks up box 16, which is even shaped like a shield and everything, but he finds a freeze inside instead. Boggle.
Kazkame shrieks in pain and collapses on the floor. Apparently the extra vote inside box 25 was able to connect with his crescent-kicking toes in just such a way as to cause MAXIMUM PAIN. Oh well, he still gets the prize.
Pikachu pokes box 12 until it finally gives up and opens, revealing... a cellphone! Pikachu snatches it up, delighted, before realizing what this implies: he's found the penultimate posting requirement! Pikachu now has to write exclusively in chatspeak when posting in all Day topics. Chatspeak, of course, means for our purposes "with spelling and grammar as n00bish as n00bishly possible. Probably involving l33t."
Ocelot picks up another extra vote from box 27, while simultaneously the Host runs out of interesting things to say about box opening.
