We have lost enough players that the input of every remaining townsperson is crucial. Therefore, a rule change will now be enacted with regards to the Bomb, who is of course still alive at the moment.
Previously, if the Bomb was selected for assassination or execution, the last person to vote for him or her would be killed as well. In order to encourage everyone to participate, I declare the following change:
If everyone in the Mafia votes to assassinate the Bomb, the last person to vote will be killed as well. However, if not everyone in the Mafia votes that night, then all absent Mafia members will be killed with the Bomb instead. The last Mafia member who actually did vote is safe.
Similarly, if everyone in the town votes to execute the Bomb (except, presumably, the Bomb his- or herself), the last person to vote will be killed as well. However, if not everyone in the town votes that day, then all absent townspeople will be killed with the Bomb instead. The last townsperson who actually did vote is safe.
I'm looking at you DL.

Which reminds me, its against the rules to change the rules in the middle of the game. Play fair and by your own rules pohatu!!!!

Have I not said that this game is still very far from perfect? There are bugs that need to be worked out.
I don't know about you, but I consider it unfair that certain players (DL being only one of them) have been barely or never targeted for death due to their lack of activity, while more vocal players like you and Lee got bumped off for drawing attention to yourselves.

If my assumptions are correct, Loogs may be playing this game invisibly, speaking only via PM and Messenger to coordinate strikes.
I think I've figured out a way to discern Mafia members foolproofly, but I also know a fix for it, so no dice. Wish I had thought of it sooner.

I don't mind if she's touring the board invisibly, but she's been all but silent in the executions.

I'll sit out the next one, or mayhaps, if Photu ever wanted to play, I'd fill in as the master of games. We need at least one admin at full capacity in order to maintain the boards, it it's become too clear to me that admins can EASILY find out identities, regardless of how wrapped up the mafia board is. Possibly, during this period, all other admins would be demoted to Moderators or regular members, to keep their powers from accidentally sparking something.

I've received the suggestion that the Mafia: Night board should be created on a password-protected Xanga/LiveJournal/etc. in future games. Every Mafia member would create a Xanga/LiveJournal/etc., if they didn't already have one, and could post there. Much more airtight.

Indeed. That'd make it a ton of work for anybody trying to poke their noses in, and work much better than this, where just by maintaining the boards, I've found evidence of one member, and discovered proof of two others while browsing my admin panels.

I think when the game is over the Night Board should be reavealed so everyone can see what took place there. Who voted for who and why.

Actually, I'll create archive forums, and transfer these to them, peg them as subboards, and turn off the secrecy options. No problem there.

I was originally going to move them to the Scrap Heap. However, if there are to be future Mafia games, it would indeed be nice to have a permanent board in the Games category exclusively for archives of past Mafia games. This would become exponentially more useful with each game completed.

Yes, when we make the RP archive boards, all season of finished Mafia will be placed as subboards. (I wonder if we can do sub-sub-boards?)

Why would we need sub-sub-boards?

Oh, okay, and just put in the titles "Mafia 1 (Night)" "Mafia 1 (Day)", etc., and move them to a single Mafia archive board. Gotcha.

Sure, I'll edit those to make it clearer. I just figure, since there would be only one clump of topics moving to the board at a time, they're already going to be divided into little sections even without having to go through that extra amount of clicking.

Yeah, this is just for clarity purposes, so those checking archives will be able to tell what's what without checking dates.

why would we want sub-sub-boards? The real question is why wouldn't we want to?

I guess the sub-sub-boards was just an organizational sort o' thing. We'll be fine as is.
