Ok everyone. I am here to state that under authority of Lee that I am head judge of this contest and as such I will be restate alot of things that have already been said before.
Categories:
*Human Character Sprite: (Based on a description from the subject choice judge) This must be a humanoid being, sprited using any materials available to you and any ethical techniques.
*Pokemon Crossbreed (Freestyle): Here, you may design a Pokemon crossbreed at your own whimsy. You may use any Pokemon sprites and any ethical techniques here. You may begin on this one immediately.
*Human Style Sprite (Freestyle): Like the above contest. Just submit a humanoid sprite, any technique. It must be ethical, however. You may begin on this one immediately.
*Nonhuman Sprite (From the Subject Choice Judge): This can be almost anything, chosen by the judge. They may say "Horse", or "automobile". This one is really up in the air.
*Sprite Banner (From the Subject Choice Judge): This is the biggest event. It could be a banner for an RP, with multiple characters featured on it, or a advertisment for the Exodus, or something else entirely. Any resources are valid for this, but the focus must be sprites of a Pokemon-game origin.
Now, as for the scoring system, I will pick up Lee's idea and run with it. There will be a total of 100 points for each sprite to be awarded, but I will divide the points up as such to show what needs improvement and what is strong on each sprite.
Creativity: 50 Points (Creativity is everything in spriting and that is what we aim to attain)
Color: 10 Points (Color can make or break the sprite, but it's not everything)
Texture: 15 Points (If the sprite is smooth, the points will be higher in this area. If it's blocky, the points will be lower)
Pose and Poise: 25 Points (If the stance and apperance is odd then the points will be lower)
The higher the total score, the higher your rank in the contest will be.
If someone wins three contests, They will automatically win the contest. If we get to a point where there is no clear winner of three of the five contests then I will take the total scores from each judge for each sprite, get an average for each sprite and add them together. In that case, the person with the highest score will win.
Alright, now that all of that is out of the way, please post your sprites here, starting with the Human Freestyle. Once I have one sprite for each person in the contest, we will move on the the pokemon freestyle contest.
