It started out as me renting Smallville season 1 to see what it was about. Before I knew it I had watched all the way to the end of season 4. I can't wait for the fifth to come out in September. Overall it's a good show. I like the way the creators are re-defineing the Superman mythology.

I must say that I'm rather appreciative of Smallville as well. Though occasionally, their reinventions turn a bit sour, they have many more hits than misses. I enjoyed their Aquaman episode a lot, and their way of slowly building Lex into the villain who'll someday be Clark's worst enemy is fascinating. My only real gripe is the Lex/Zod thing, which just didn't feel quite right...

Smallville was always the show I said I was going to watch yet never did... Until my sister found seasons 1-3 in China *coughs* and bought the 4th here. I ended up watching all four in a row, not to mention a very short period of time :X I've never really cared much for the Superman series, but Smallville really caught my attention and held on tight. The plots are pretty interesting, as are many of the characters. To be truthful, the guy who plays Clark is probably the worst of the main actors/actresses on the show - tho, to be fair, he improved quite a bit from season 1 to 4. Chloe has probably ended up as my favourite character, with Lex trailing closely behind. Not that Clark doesn't own the center of attention by default. I mean, the guy's Superman. I want his powers! As far as reinventing the series goes, I think Smallville's a really great series. If my sister doesn't end up buying the 5th season right away I damn well know I will. I'm not waiting @_@
