Prime heaved a deep sigh, brushing himself off. He was covered with a great deal of dirt and moss, seeing as he was unable to enter Cherrygrove, Ender would sense him as soon as he had. Prime has spent some time pondering this target, an assassin could hardly get close to him, the man was possibly the most powerful psionic, and thus telepath, on the planet. Thus the reason he was on the edge of town, he didn't want to be telekinetically decapitated. But on the other hand, there was the chance that his nature would protect him, enveloped as he was in Dragonic Magic. He might just appear to be a wayward dragon, but it was better not to take the chance.
As far as Prime had been able to tell so far, the best way to kill the man would be to just burn the entire village while he was sound asleep, but massive collateral damage and civilians deaths never looked good on a mission report. It was starting to look as if the only way to kill the man was through direct confrontation. Wear out his Psionic Power until he could no longer bear the pain in his mind, and then deliver the final blow. Prime disliked the idea however, it wasn't honourable, for him or Ender.
"Ah well, looks like I have no choice." Prime said, getting to his feet.
"Stop!" A voice said, and Prime looked up sharply. Some sort of energy matrix was floating down towards him, he assumed it was that which had spoken.
"What are you?" Prime asked urgently, wearily keeping his hand on his sword.
"You tell me." Diamond said, her body materialising before him.
"I don't think I know you..." Prime said slowly, still tense.
"Yes, I thought you were missing something." She said thoughtfully, "Seems like your memories have gone down the tube. Sad, to see you like this, seeing what you've achieved over your lifespan. And I attribute none of that span to the monster which the world now has to deal with." She sighed, "Well I hope I can start by putting things right."
She reached out to him, but Prime stepped back quickly, drawing his sword.
"There isn't any need for that, your missing something, I'd like to return it to you." Diamond said.
"I'm missing nothing!" Prime spat, "I took this form to escape whatever past I had, and I've no desire to return to it!"
Diamond shook her head sadly, "You've forgotten far more than you know. You've hidden for to long, now its time to wake up."
Primes head shot back, his eye's opening wide. His hair faded from its sleek gold, turning back to its origional red. His eye's changed from the unnatural gold to a shimmering green. His body shrunk to its normal size, only a little taller than Diamond herself, but well muscled as only a swordsmen is. All his oversized equipment fell from his body, and his clothing was quite loose. He remembered Diamond, and Ender, and many others, and he remember what emotions felt like. He looked at Diamond, blushed, and pulled his clothing a little tighter. "Ummm, hi. Hope fusing with Aurora helped." He said uncertainly, Diamond nodded. He sighed with relief, then looked around. He felt as though something else familiar was approaching him. He turned around, and found the Dragoon Spirit of the Divine Dragon hovering behind him. He smiled, "I've lost you many times haven't I? I think that was due to my more than complete state. Why don't we stay together this time around?" He asked, and sensed a dim agnowledgment. A sword formed around the spirit, with it as the gem just above the hilt. Its wide blade was straight and true, tapering off in two elegant curves to form the tip of the sword.Prime grasped the handle with a sense of comfort he hadn't felt in a long time.
"Somethings really shouldn't be forgotten." He said.
"Now, you were saying something about my other half Diamond?" Prime asked curiously.
She nodded, "Yes, he seems to have been rather busy. You left him with memories and a sense of justice, while he's supost to impose balance. So he's taken the two ideals to an extreme. He's formed his own little support group, and started taking out world leaders and government. He intends to impose his own kind of justice on the world I suppose, or he might have something worse in mind. Either way, he intends to take our freedom."
Prime looked troubled, then shook his head. "Well, for the moment at least, we don't have time to worry about that." Prime said, "As we have more immidiate problems to take care of." He pointed above the two of them, where a dimensional rift was quickly forming.
"What the hell?" Diamond asked, confused.
"I'm still faintly connected to two outer dimentions. The universe is probably seeking to correct my physical wavelength since my spirital wavelength is normal again. Likely I'll be having a short joyride to a similar dimention, where I'll have to find a way back here. Again." He sighed, "I've done this once already, this totally sucks balls."
Diamond grinned, but couldn't help nodding her agreement. The vortex began exerting some force to attract its target, and Prime slowly lifted off the ground. Diamond reached out and grabbed his hand. Prime shook his head, "Whatever you've become, I don't think its wise to go dimention hopping. It could cause you to become unstable."
Diamond winked, "I'm human, which is entirely your fault. We have some unfinished buisness as well you know."
Prime blushed, and then they were both sucked through a tunnel of swirling, unstable color, tearing through they're verys souls, before being deposited harshly on solid stone.
