OOC: I know this involves a Pokemon, but it doesn't truly concern the Pokemon universe enough to go in that forum
Sagami Tachikawa had been training in the mountains for several days, trying his damndest to use only his Nintaku powers for once instead of relying on his Pokemon. After a long lecture from his cousin Kara on how dangerous it is for a Nintaku to not use their power at least once ever few days, he set out on this trip. For one thing, not using his powers at all is like sitting around your house getting fat and lazy.....very unhealthy. And since he was Kara's only remaining relative, she feared losing him should he ever get in trouble over his foolishlessness. So as he was halfway through his 5th day of both physical and power-training, Sagami finally decided it was time to take a break. He wasn't entirely alone, having brought his most beloved Pokemon with him to cheer him on and also keep an eye out for trouble. It was his dear Espeon, "Mezmer", and the elegant creature was as thankful for the break as Sagami was - briefly caressing his backpack as if to tell him that he wanted some lunch. Though quite out of breath, he chuckled at his Pokemon's gesture and happily went about retrieving their food.
Just when he was about to take a bite of a protein bar, Sagami suddenly had to gasp for breath. A sharp pain flared in his chest at that moment, followed a minute after by a dreadful achyness. He'd been told that the power of a Nintaku puts a lot of stress on one's heart, but only if they've been in 'Kihenshin' form for more than 10 hours. He'd actually only assumed the transformation once during the past 5 days and it'd only been for 3 hours. This was not good at all, and he was many miles away from civilization. Focusing on breathing for a while, he hoped that whatever caused the pain was temporary and he could soon pack up his gear and return home to have himself checked out by a doctor. Then, as suddenly as it had erupted before, another shock of pain hit him - and for a few sickening seconds it almost felt as though he couldn't breathe. Mezmer could tell something was dreadfully wrong with his master, and the worried Espeon whined softly as he gently touched Sagami on the arm with one of his dainty paws. The ailing Nintaku could tell that he was in no shape at all to even risk traveling, and he was horrified to learn that he was unable to use his cellphone to try and call for help. There was only one choice left, and that was to have Mezmer use teleportation and go seek help somewhere. Because this ability had a short range of distance, it would be risky for him to use it since it'd need to be used several times and could wear him out. But time was of the essence, and he quickly wrote out a note requesting medical assistance and stowed it in Mezmer's golden collar. Stroking the Espeon's head a moment, he said:
"Dearest Mezmer, please be brave. I need you to use teleport to find someone who can get help... and quickly. Something's very wrong with me and I badly need a doctor, and I'm not sure how much longer I can last. Please Mezmer..... please hurry, my beloved friend..."
And with that, the loyal Espeon gave him a reassuring cry and mysteriously phased into nothingness as it teleported away. Resting against a large rock and keeping his gear close, Sagami then anxiously waited and tried to endure his suffering... and hoped Mezmer would bring help soon, as the ailing Nintaku heard the howl of a wolf in the distance.....
OOC: And this is just the beginning of his troubles in the mountains. Where there's one wolf, there's bound to be more.
