so here's the lowdown on what's keeping me from jumping back into RP: i've transitioned into writing more realistic, slice-of-life stories. Fantasy doesnt do it for me like it used to. idk.
Thus, my question is: is anyone interested in doing slice-of-life stuff without powers or fantasy elements? Or at most, something in the realm of magical realism with very subtle fantasy elements? I would love to do lowkey RP work with people. idk dude! let me know what you think

I'm curious!
But my big question is are we talking Stanislavsky levels of slice-of-life or something just slightly more interesting because Stanislavsky levels are boring as shit

Oh man, Loogs, I wish you were down for reviving Radiance because I'd duet that shit with you.
Realistic slice of life sounds hard.

oh, actually, i just had a thought:
to transition into the New Era and pass on the torch from Hector to a brand new character for a new age, I thought of writing a courier character? perhaps to pass on a message about Hector's long absence (read: some hackneyed thing about running off with his child after rescuing her or something?? what happened to vathale??? don't ask me??!) to any relevant characters (I would think the summoners?)
not a whole lot of powers. just a courier. maybe she has sick rollerskating skills??

Shoot me a PM regarding that, because I'm down. Yoshimitsu seems like the most valid recipient to that and I've been playing him very low-power in his most recent appearances.

@pohatu: I'll see what I can do re: Radiance. it got too big for my own good, too unwieldly, but if we can find a shorter, succinct way to tie up loose ends, then I'll see what I can do.

I think staying away from the Summoners would be ideal for a low-fantasy, considering Miko can't scratch his nose without conjuring plants. That said, if we're just aiming low action, I can work Miko within that setting, for sure.
If we're leaning low fantasy/magic realism as a whole, I've got Lacy, Achenes, Reba, who are all BASICALLY realistic level (though profoundly badass within that frame of reference), and Nopcsa, Almudena, and Thyra are all fairly low-break-from-reality when it comes down to it.

I could potentially see some plots in Aeon having a good deal of 'common life' type of goings on with limited magic/fantasy involvement other than the fact Aeon is itself a fantasy world meaning it is not Earth and exists in a separate universe from everything else on the site. I really want to try and keep magic itself somewhat low-key and sort of realistic.
2 Main Issues: -The world/universe is still being developed and my ideas and feelings about how it should work are constantly changing and... -I don't plan on opening up anymore plots in Aeon until at least one of the two I already have going is completed.

Oh my god, I get it now. Smooth Sailing and Summoner Style both take place on boats. And both of those titles have the initials "S.S.".
Oh my goooooood
