So here, I'm just throwing out some ideas that we're too busy for presently, but may be worth considering for a later date:
-Couples Tournament: I'd love to run one of these around Valentine's Day, where a bunch of big name RP couples duke it out in doubles-matches. Problem is that it'd have all the issues of a standard tournament (one player lags out, the whole thing goes down the tubes) except twice as bad, because it'd need twice as many writers. Shame, too, because it'd be fun to see some of the matches (I foresee: Helen+Rhys, Terrian+Blaise, Zebedee+Thyra, and maybe some student couples from Terminer) For bonus Not Gonna Happen points, every match has at least one Lee character and the possibility of SV, giving us an "overworked slow perfectionist author" double whammy.
-Colossal Tournament: I want to run a giant mecha/kaiju tournament RP sooo badly, because it'd be a fun change of scale/pace. Problem is that there's only maybe three or four valid authors right now? (DL, myself with Miko and Lacy, El with Bahamut, Choobs with Eddie using a mecha, and MAYBE Biscuit or Blood if one wanted to step in). It's a shame; I've even got the meta-plot for the tourney with some legit intrigue with the Obsidian Hearts figured out. I mean, we could fill out the ranks with a few unorthodox choices (somebody going all Attack on Titan and fighting on foot, somebody deciding to enter with a straight up BATTLESHIP or the like, so on), but it'd still be tricky to fill out the ranks.
-Archipelago Kart: Simple enough, a Mario Kart style race between a bunch of RP characters. Nothing's really in the way of this one, except I'd want more members present for something crazy like this. I'd probably need some Lord of the Lamp style antics to justify a crazy plot like this going down, but one never knows, maybe we could come up with a sane justification?
-Shipboard Murder Mystery: A plot that was planned to have Thyra, Reba Winset, Lady V's vamp, and Emily, at the very least, aboard an express ship to the Archipelago, when one of the wealthy philanthropists with them turns up dead. The rest of the plot involves trying to figure out who the killer is, as they pick off character after character... Unfortunately, got mothballed due to me being busy and Clicker being pregnant, and Murder Mystery in the Glade and Obscured Truth both coming out and crowding out the demand for such a plot.
-The Powers That Be: I wanted to do a slice-of-life plot about "The Powers That Be", a trashy tourist trap style restaurant in New Ellis. Most of it (at least the first page or two) would be about a bunch of "What Kind of Power Is Heart" Powers trying to eke out a living after immigrating to the Archipelago, and a shitty job working in a gimmicky restaurant where they're treated like animals in a zoo is the best they can do. However, drama shifts into high gear as in the last page or two, a psychopath (presumably either Shouta, Lucas, or Mandelbrot) takes the whole staff hostage, and with a cast of down-on-their luck, one-off losers who knows who'd even survive?

Another idea I think we really need: I'd like a plot that explores the nature of divinity/religion within the setting. I'm pretty sure we're the exact same as the Dresden Files (Belief fuels deities, almost all religions are true, the Christian God is either the creator or an eldritch abomination existing outside the system, depending on who you ask), but I would like to codify it with some actual writing. As is, the Sea God is the closest thing we've had to that, and that's just sad.

I wonder if any of my characters are theists.
Williams? Maybe? No, I don't even think so.
EDIT: On further reflection, Renard probably does have something in the way of a Catholic worldview; he certainly would have been raised so. He's the only one I feel confident about, though. Esther's culturally Jewish but probably not too much of a believer. The Giarrettieras would clearly have been raised Roman Catholic and probably still go through the motions, attending church and all, but I get the feeling each of them probably turned away from personal belief, for different reasons.

As a brief aside: +Zebedee and Thyra are Seventh Day Adventist +Almudena and Dalisay are both raised Catholic, though they're too young to understand their faith beyond what older people have told them, at this point. +Kendil has a weird cleric-style relationship with the whole Egyptian pantheon. +Upon thinking about it, I assume Garth is some flavor of Protestant, since Olivine/Brightmeadow's been depicted as a heavily rural town. +I have no idea what Didn't religious flavor is; it's entirely possible she's met Mohammed, Jesus, Buddha, and so forth at some point, especially with how time travel works. I'm guessing she has a very holistic view of humanity's spirituality as a whole (though she may have less of a taste for Catholicism, considering that "mysterious black girl dropping into Medieval Europe" is the sort of thing that gets one burnt at the stake. +Natalie is Atheist, though she's moved from hardline antitheism to more of a nay-theist angle, since nobody tells Natalie what to do. +The entire Summoner race has been established as agnostic. +Dace probably has some weird hybridized half-and-half thing, especially since I've decided that her mother's Japanese and her father's either Portugese or Greek. So who knows what she's grown up with, especially since she's probably picking up some Hinduism flavors from Laksha. +Nopcsa probably has a lapsed Christian upbringing, that he's likely not on good terms with, since he grew up in the Midwest and his parents disowned him and want nothing to do with him. +Both Blaise and Helen strike me as oddly agnostic, despite being all about the Magicks. I'm going to type the word sexy here, in order to assist Pohatu in quoting this sentence out of context. +Now that I think about it, I'm kinda liking the idea of Lacy being Jewish, just because it'd be another cute subversion of her origins. +Achenes is hard to say; she was raised Irish, but her parents were killed when she was young, so who knows where her faith stands? I'm guessing she's a "I'm a good enough person, go to mass on Christmas and Easter" Catholic, but she may instead be some flavor of Buddhist/Shinto because she grew up in Japan?

As is, the Sea God is the closest thing we've had to that, and that's just sad. Funny you should mention that - this is actually an idea that Blackbird is obsessed with (in prior RPs on prior RP boards). I ran an entire saga with him on an old Gundam board that had him essentially hunting down God but finding eldritch Old Ones instead, it was trippy. In this setting, he was told that God had chosen him for the things he would do in his life, and since then has been unable to reconcile why any God would create something as despicable as he is. So he remains fascinated by this supreme being that he cannot understand, because he understands human nature so fluently.

"Hey," Almudena whispered loudly as Deandre slinked back to his seat. He feigned not noticing her, so she proceeded to pull a pencil from her pocket, and chucked it at the side of his head. "Hey, Andre, what's up?" Not giving him a chance to answer, she kept talking, "You don't have to tell us, but me and Furball were trying to figure out what your power is, and we were hoping you could tell us if either one of us was correcto, por favor." Garth blushed, and averted his eyes. "Actually, I was just venturing a guess... I wasn't hoping to pressure you into actually telling us or anything," He hissed, shooting a smoldering glare at Almudena. "Hey, you're curious too, can't hide that," Alma retorted. She put her elbow on her desk, and leaned in towards Deandre, "I guessed you had X-ray vision. That's why you keep looking over at me, si?" Yeah, I figured as much.

I really, really want to write a conversation between Zebedee and Bird now. Also, another plot, this one waiting on Ishkabibble ending: Pittura Infamante: During travel through Louisiana, Terrian finds out that unbeknownst to him, somebody matching his description has been committing crimes and making some very powerful enemies. And when you're Terrian Brogue, an uncanny resemblance to somebody is NEVER just a coincidence...

What whaaaat
Also, have I mentioned this idea for an RP already? It's not something I would want to run until after Ishkabibble is wrapped up, not for plot reasons but just because I want to get that bad boy off the table. My idea is for a full-auto topic where everyone submits a character, then gets assigned a different submitted character to write for, rather than their own. It'd probably be nice and short and not very plotty, but it'd be really fun to see different authors' take on familiar characters.
I must have mentioned this before. It seems so obvious.

The very best part is Pohatu already approved everything about this plot via PM waaay back before Ishkabibble. So the plot twists might surprise even him. Also, would we want Full-Auto to be all big name characters who are mostly established, and who people already have a solid idea on how to write (Natalie, Nopcsa, Rie, Terrian), B lister characters who have yet to really be established beyond a single topic (Kendil, Didn't, Orville Giguere, Shouta), or A-lister characters who people don't know how to write (Zebedee, Tanner, Miko, Hector)? The first seems the easiest. I know El, Choobs, Photu, and BB can all do a reasonable Natalie, and Photu, El, and SV (and maybe Cendra and Biscuit) can do a good Nopcsa. Problem is, it'd be the least interesting of the options, since everybody knows how to write these characters and there's not much in the way of hidden facets. The second has promise, especially if we all throw in our spare cast who has yet to get any serious development, so that other authors have a comparatively blank slate to work with. However, a comparative blank slate means there isn't much point to this, because the authors have so little to work around. Furthermore, as these characters are still forming, the aut(h)o(r) could take them in a direction their original author doesn't like, throwing the canonicity of the whole thing into whack, or possibly even orphaning the character because the author dislikes them (I could see Blood doing this, at the very least, but if things went badly enough, that could happen to me as well) The third is the hardest option, but the most interesting. There's a lot to work with, but all these characters still haven't QUITE found their voice. So it's a matter of "maybe another author will figure out how to make this character click". I know El's great with my A-list (Zebedee, Miko, Nat), for one, but at the same time, I strongly doubt anybody else really knows what makes Zebby or Miko tick, and this might just be the break they need for the rest of the site to understand them. And who knows, maybe this'll be what it takes to make some of our main characters who've fallen by the wayside (Tanner, Ysane, Zebedee) more palatable to their authors again? A fourth, and most bizarre option, would be bringing in characters who are frequently autoed under the control of people who regularly auto them (or another party). So we'd have Hector, Aquara, Emily, Lucas/Prime, Jonas/Sly, and a few others that slip my mind as options? It'd be very, very weird to do, but I could see it as a fascinating experiment. I mean, come on! Wouldn't you want to see a topic with Lee!Hector, Biscuit!Jonas, Pohatu!Sly, Cendra!Emily and El!Aquara? Furthermore, it'd mean that some of the more inactive big names would get some attention coming back their way (Sly, Hector), and maybe it'd even poke their authors out of hibernation?

Yeah, the second option you list is intriguing, but could pretty easily go awry, and it's not quite as meaningful as seeing new authors work with better established characters.
The third option would probably be the most rewarding, but... the characters of mine that aren't working out, I'd almost feel guilty foisting them off onto someone else (Rho & Hig, Tanner, Shouta). I'm also wary that there might be some implicit pressure to "Solve this character!".
Even if we were to go with the first option, I'd probably avoid Terrian, because who needs more Terrian? Williams would actually be a lot more interesting to put in someone else's hands. Though he's not the type you might imagine just casually hanging out with e.g. Natalie or Rie, so that's a problem, I guess.

I think El and I would both be willing to tackle Tanner. Choobs, El, and I all could pull off a decent Shouta. And I'd be game for tackling Rhometer, though I will forewarn you... I'm even more of a maverick than you are, so I already am fostering completely bizarre ideas for writing him that get REALLY out there. You can't hand Lee a cloudcuckoolander reality warper with some consciousness of the fourth wall, and expect things not to immediately go into some... trippy places.
If we went angle 3, I'd be pretty sure to submit either Zebedee, Miko, or Maude, since those are my biggest names that I'm still sorting out what's compelling behind them. Then again, Zeb and Meeks have some huge changes in their most recent RPs, sooo maybe I should find somebody else who isn't sifting out fallout?
No love for Option 4? Granted, it is a bit of a copout, but I think it has a potential all it's own, too.

Option 4 is fine, it just seems less... consensual. I want this to be totally consensual, Lee. I'm all about consent.

I can tell you straight up: Loogs will approve (she loves other people lavishing attention on Hector), Clicker will approve (With condition that under no circumstance, Prime writes Emily), and BB would likely approve (because he's busy, but he loves the Exodus and wants his characters to still be an active and vibrant part of it). Less sure on Kevin, and getting in touch with Prime to ask would be... dangerous. (It could very well bring him back in, which could lead to many more derailed RPs. And honestly, I'd put "Prime derailing RPs" along with "Event plots strangling out activity" as the two big reasons Archie Exy had a really bad hiatus. Either new RPs were delayed to make room for Ishkabible, Radiance, Househeld, and Crystal, or Prime was the leader/derailer of the other ones, meaning that after a year or two of "We'll put off RPs until the big events get done", we'd essentially run out of new RPs to work with.)(And no, I'm not blaming Photu for this; Archie Exy was fine with one or two big events, the problem was getting a glut of them all at once, taking RPers away from the more general scene.)
But yeah, it looks like our tentative idea is "misunderstood A and B listers with a significant amount of history". Characters who could fit this niche: -Lee: Helen, George Buckland, Achenes, Lacianus -Pohatu: Rhometer, Shouta, Tanner, MAYBE Cesare or Williams -Elliot: Araini, Fratley, Felix (?), Antonio (?) -Choobs: Vieve, Nick Tauric, Ysane -DL: Valon comes to mind. Maybe Marius? -Cendra: Belwyn, mostly. Everybody else has either only one or two characters (Shoni, Lady V, Silumas, Biscuit has a broad cast but they're mostly only he can do it right (Bird, Huckabee) or bit players)) or is otherwise somewhat indisposed.

If I were to just shotgun off a sample list from that: Pohatu with either Antonio or Ysane, me with Rhometer, El with Lacy, and Choobs with either Shouta or Felix. I'm not sure what kind of plot would arise from that, but I feel like it could be one hell of a thing. (This is assuming El and Choobs would be interested; it could very well be DL/Cendra/Biscuit hopping in.)

I think Elliot and I would probably agree me writing Antonio wouldn't be that interesting, it's not enough of a stretch.
But what I'll do if I pursue this post-Ish is get the character submissions first, then collect rankings from each RPer about which of the characters not belonging to them they'd most like to write, and then try to work out assignments that everyone can be at least reasonably satisfied with.

I'd actually be more concerned you'd write him better than I do.
I'd probably choose, out of the characters above, to do Shouta or Tanner but they're thematically similar to my own characters (Felix and Antonio respectively) so I can't see it being that interesting.
From my cast, I'd throw out Fratley, Araini, Felix and Antonio, like Lee says, but I'd also give the option of Yoshimitsu and Illiana. They might be my two most prolific characters currently but it'd be cool to see what other people did with them.

This sounds rather interesting for me. Maybe a chance to use Bemraphel or other little-used OCs of mine? *eyebrow wiggle* Another idea I think we really need: I'd like a plot that explores the nature of divinity/religion within the setting. As is, the Sea God is the closest thing we've had to that, and that's just sad. Every time I create a fantasy race, I also come up with a religion for them (got the idea a long time ago from Salina/Sunlight Blacksmith). Nintaku = Shinto-like religion that involves worship of good spirits residing in nature & the elements, who're governed over by one powerful spirit named "Harunai" (who assumes many forms when in the physical plane, but his most famous is that of an oriental dragon with sky blue scales, green mane/tail, red eyes, etc.). Believe that all evil in the world is caused or influenced by dark spirits (former subjects of Harunai who rebelled against him and all he cherishes; love chaos and corruption). And they believe it's perfectly normal for other races/worlds to be governed by other gods and supernatural beings, so they're pretty respectful of others' beliefs. Drakyan Elves = Since they share a longtime bond with sencient dragons, they hold a monotheist belief in "Drakon'daro", the immortal father of all dragons (personified in most stories and artwork as being an armor-clad humanoid dragon with both a pair of traditional dragon wings and birdlike dragon wings). According to legend, the Drakyan race came about through Drakon'daro falling in love with an elven warrioress, "Nagisahala". While bearing their first child, Nagisahala became horribly ill and it was learned that her heart wasn't strong enough to handle a half-dragonic child and it'd kill her to continue with the pregnancy. Out of fear of losing his wife and/or child, Drakon'daro used his godlike powers to form an orb-like crystal which he phased inside of his wife's chest - transforming her elven heart into one that's as powerful and strong as that of a dragon (also believed to be one of the reasons Drakyan can live to be 500 years old). And got details on what both races view about the afterlife (heaven, hell, etc.), if anyone is interested.

Just spitballing some stuff: Couples valid enough for the Couples Tourney (In that they've been shipped/ship teased enough to see a sign saying "Couple Tourney" and not be completely put out.)
Helen+Rhys Blaise+Terrian Illiana+Channery Zebedee+Thyra
...We need at least one more couple without a Lee character before this idea is even remotely sane. Because Lee on Lee violence kills RPs.

In rereading that, I realized Nopcsa took a groin shot at Giguere, too... Valon's got his Grandeur Wave, Zebedee's got his Gabriel's Trumpet, Hector has his Phoenix Judgment, and Nopcsa's got his Ineffective Groin Shot.
Every single alteracation he's been in, he's thrown one, with the following effects: -Prime: trained martial artist, ignores it -Lama: trained martial artist, ignores it -Sikes: Glancing blow. Shrugs it off. -Giguere: Draconic testicles. Shrugs it off. (Actually, the swing missed this time)
