Okay, so here's a post for challenging people to do weird or challenging concepts in RPs. (Preferably don't derail major events like Ish or Terminer to do them, tho'. Save these hijinks for more casual stuff, like Pyre or Dodo.) My first challenge to put out there: Use a monster derived from one of THESE monsters as an encounter in an RP: bogleech.tumblr.com/post/133634580628/letterjeigh-truthofmasks-spicyhorror

CAN'T FORCE SOMEBODY TO DO SOMETHING AGAINST THEIR RELIGION, CHOOBS. (Actually, working on my Ish post now; pretty clean cut, but I really wish we had scroll text still. It'd add a nicely creepy effect to Mandelbrot's thoughts. Instead, I gotta get creative. )

Allow me to throw a dare in - your next RP post cannot contain a single 3-letter word (dialogue, abbreviations and contractions exempt, though if you're up to it, give yourself a workout).

An emotionally damaged young woman with lots of guns walked into a garage. "Damn it," said this woman. "I always have to deal with everything. I hate people. I only love guns. Guns guns guns"

I just had an interesting idea for a narrative voice: A character who has little superscript numbers, corresponding to footnotes at the bottom of the page. The most obvious characters for it (Blaise, Renard) are both already kinda overloaded with voice, so it wouldn't work for them, and the other big thematic possibility (Esther) would feel weird, because of the fact that she's so terse, even if she's a book-mage.
So I have no idea who it'd work for, but I'd really like to try it/see it done.

I've got a dare/suggestion for Pohatu: Last night I was reading on TVTropes, and apparently there's an obscure adventure game where you can remove letters from words in order to transmogrify objects (e.g. Illiana is trying to stab the character with a SPEAR so the character steals the S from SPEAR. Illiana finds herself trying to stab them with a PEAR instead.)
I'm not sure if this'd be a new character, an evolution of Esther's power, or perhaps a different strain of logomachy used by somebody with ties to Esther (a tutor, peer, or relative.)

"A bent drinking straw, Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?" Helen chanted, the straw dissolving into strobing pink lights.
Renard tweaked his mustache furiously.
