Alex would make a great villain if he actually had some screen time. Unfortunately, he's hit the stereotypical supervillain role which is his agents are seen be he isn't. If he has agents. I haven't decided.
Vincent is dead, and has been as of OT at the latest.

Watch Nopcsa mention Vincent's death in the least tasteful way possible, first time he meets Yoshi and Illiana.
Spoiler: Nopcsa may not survive the trial. XD

So there's seriously only like one high tier good guy left? Thats...not good. In fact that could be a serious problem for the world in general moving forward, especially with what's coming in the future.

The anti-hero/anti-villian Silumas can fill the role if he absolutely must...but that's what the school is for, to train the next generation of powers to higher skill and ability to take on larger issues.

I'm sure that Rick isn't evil at present, but he's just a busy as Valon is. I really want to be able to use Valon some more though, which is something that I'm going to be working on in the near future.
By the by, would anyone be interested in a topic revolving around court intrigue and happenings in the court of Drakengrad? It's another thread that I've been thinking about for a long time.

King's Landing type deal? I'm so in. I was trying to convince Prime to do that kind of stuff at one point. BUT SOMEHOW I think you'd be better at it.

I'm really feeling a Song of Ice and Fire meets Lion King thing here. I've got some rough concepts sketched out, but they need refining before I even think about writing the thing up.

I think the school's purpose depends on who you ask; most of the faculty see it as raising the next generation of Powers to be stronger, wiser, and more competent than their predecessors. However, Thyra, as she stated, has much farther reaching goals; she's not just hoping to raise students to be smarter than the Powers that came before them, but also to take steps to end the constant conflicts that tear apart communities of Powers and turn the normal people against them. If Thyra gets her way, 50 years hence, all of humanity would be ready to rally as one against any non-earthly threat.

The Earth may not have 50 years Lee. Whether humanity is aware of it or not, the shadow is already looming.

SORRY MORE SPOILERS
Exploration spoilers specifically
I had forgotten about this, but it's actually canonically a thing through my writing challenges now that I read through them
During the 'final' confrontation between Yoshimitsu and Vincent's un-named uncle, my entire protagonist cast 'dies'.
It's an unspecified magic, but basically it makes the targets 'die' until the user of the spell dies for real or lifts the spell. So Antonio, Illiana, Fratley and Yoshimitsu all 'die' through supernatural but somehow non-lethal means.
I'd say PM me for details, but this was an idea from like 4 years ago but I'm now committing to.

aha! I found my Head Games noats! Turns out there was a bunch of other OMG PLOT TWISTS that I never told Lee. Head Games
-Characters needed: Rie, Nat -Characters wanted: Sly, Valon, Zebedee (Valon and Zeb may be too high level) -Characters to bring back/introduce: Harmony, Sandstorm, Amorph, Armament, Ysane, Cobra
Harmony Appearance: Dressed in an elaborate gown. Hair shaved. Abilities: Psychic, projects melodies into people's heads that slowly make them go insane. Can yell really loud, too. Possibly more along the lines of manipulating air currents. Weapons: none Personality: Pretty well adjusted due to her strong psychic mind being able to cope with all the mental stress Amorph Appearance: Tight black pants and a black tank top. Abilities: Deformation of limbs and phasing, more advanced than rie and can phase through magic Weapons: Multiple swords Personality: Aggressive, taunting due to inability to get hit Sandstorm Appearance: Wrapped in brown, torn bandages and rusted chains. Has one red robotic eye. Abilities: Can create sandstorms around his body and manipulate the earth and turn into sand. Can shoot lasers from eye. Weapons: none Personality: batshit insane. Lots of cackling. Armament Appearance: Army getup with no sleeves. Includes body armor. Arms have wiring lines throughout them. Eyes are just flesh colored cylinders. Abilities: Perfect shooting abilities Weapons: Anything ranged Personality: Finds the smell of gunpowder absolutely intoxicating and finds beauty in explosions ==Story Outline== 1. Rie gets some news of psychic attacks on a small town -need to figure out contact / maybe it's discovered during another mission -Get Nat and anyone else needed 2. Explore town, hearing a tune in their heads. -Ghost town -Eventually, they find that... Ender is sitting on a bench in the park! -Promptly disappears after smiling, suddenly gen 5 beasts appear -Says he's having a hard time staying together, and there's about to be an attack, so he says to find him after -Also the music isn't his, it's just resonating in his head and kind of irking him -gen 5 beasts are like mechanical wolf things with human pieces like faces and stuff. Crazy. -Fight scene! -Rie finally gets to be a badass instead of just losing fights and making snarky comments. Finally! 3. Music is still going -Rush to find it -Find Harmony, this time, singing something. Maybe have some docile beasts around her -She doesn't really like them because they're vicious and ugly, but she sings to keep them from attacking everyone. -Talking? Idk. -May end with Amorph and Sandstorm coming out. Brawl time. Sandstorm should die. Amorph should phase into the ground away. If the other high levels are there, distract them with more gen 5's. 4. Eventually get some info for the source of the attacks. Ysane in the middle on one of her great chaos trees. Again. -Turns out that Ysane was partially behind Genlab and is now using her new supersoldiers to wreak some havoc in isolated places. Wants to bring back Rie to the "family." Summons a perfect illusion of Ender to entice her. "I can get him back for you. The afterlife is not so hard to reach for a goddess." -Gasp! -I'm assuming Nat will be like "IT'S A TRAP" -Or it's Insanity posing as Ender. OR AMORPH POSING AS ENDER -Cobra is with her. Cobra and Insanity will be doing a lot of the fighting once the party breaks free. If Valon is along, Insanity will probably take him. Ysane will be fuckng with everyone's fights. -Eventually, get to a point where Amorph has Rie pinned. Armament comes out of fucking no where and snipes her phasing implant. Have someone kill the fuck out of Amorph while Ysane, Cobra, and Armament get away. And Harmony, if she's still around. ===
city - small, needs a park and a hill in the center.

And for a nominal fee, the Fascere Order could have made any one of them a Power so that they could partake in the trial.

Yurp, the Fascere Order can make anybody a Power, via implanting artifacts (like what they did with Nopcsa, "Knuckles" (gee, thanks, Prime), and so forth). And since the only requirement for the trial is being a Power, that means that any savvy lawyer could pay a couple thousand to get implanted with an artifact that lets them boil coffee with a touch, and then take the case for beaucoup publicity.
(The rough estimation for the cost of becoming a power is in the low five digits range for becoming a minor power, up into the six digits or more for more significant powers. Spitballing, if Nopcsa had paid for his artifact instead of getting it as part of his sign-up package, it likely would have costed between $150,000 and $300,000. Hard to say, because it's not clear how much of its potential Nopnop's utilizing, and how many of its drawbacks are him, versus the power itself.)
