Just wondering, what are some interesting plot bits that you guys would like to see explored more in ORP? Not so much the main-focus deals, but instead, odd little hints of plotlines that you'd like to see blown into full fledged explorations?
For me, a few stand out: -The world inside of Mirrors: For a while, this was actually really freakin' huge; Mirror of Urakuni and anything with Mandelbrot both played in this space. It's not clear exactly what is LURKING there, but it's implied to be waaay beyond the scope of normal reality, possibly home to eldritch abominations. I think it'd be fun to write a quest or horror RP dealing with characters who found themselves stuck in such a bizarre place, or maybe an exploration of the powers behind this.
-The Zodiac Amulets: Only a few are accounted for (Leo, Ophiuchus, Virgo) but there's still a lot of potential out there. I wouldn't mind seeing what the other bearers are up to, be it wandering the earth, or working for the Fascere Order, or just laying low and pretending to be ordinary powers. It's even feasible that a few existing Powers actually derive their powers from some of these, and have been hiding the fact to avoid other people taking them away.
-Information Wars: I can't wait to see more push and pull between various (and potential) information brokers and such in the Winstone/Garden's Well region. I just finished re-reading Muddy Season (delightful as always!), and I'm really intrigued on how Yoon would cope with a rival information broker, especially since the amount of butterflies in Garden's Well heavily implies Lorenna's going to set up shop there. I'm really eager to see Yoon and Lorenna butting heads, and to see how Yoon'd cope upon finding out that her rival actually has a power that gives her an edge in the industry. Would she seek to have Lorenna removed, forced into working under her, or some other solution?
What about you guys? What are some tantalizing hints of plots that you'd like to see go full-fledged?

That one episode of Justice League where Flash's rogues gallery all teamed up to attack him at the museum, where Flash gets stuck in Mirror Master's mirror, springs to mind.

What are the other Zodiac Amulets' powers? Other than putting you in contact with a Greek god who will hlp you in the battle against evil. EDIT: Never mind; I call Capricorn, which appears unclaimed as of the last update by Lee.

the way I've written the Zodiac Amulets is that they're Empathic Weapons that provide thematic powers tied to their owner. Essentially, the amulets work by letting their owner "lens" their soul through the amulet for a singular effect.
For example, Garth has is a reserved, non-combatant type, so Ophiuchus lets him fight from a distance and project a creature that can guard him. A more aggressive person might find it grants them a powerful were-snake form, or a more empathetic individual might gain the ability to vomit up snakes that can heal wounds by crawling into them.
Another example is Aquarius, which we were thinking of giving Prime. For most characters, Aquarius would be generic water powers, but for Prime, we had instead planned for it to grant a Lady of the Lake style effect, where he could use any body of water to sheath swords, or draw ones he'd previously sheathed. (A particularly badass idea we'd talked about was Prime basically doing an Omnislash by throwing a glass of water into the air, and then drawing and slashing with a sword from each droplet of water before it hit the ground.)
So each amulet basically does whatever you want, provided it's thematic to the sign and the bearer.

According to this topic (by which I take it that the Zodiac Amulets saga has now been twelve years in the making), the available amulets are Aries, Libra, and Capricorn. Except Capricorn is not available, because Pohatu calls Capricorn. Of course, it's worth asking whether any combination of Taurus (an unrevealed character of Blood's), Gemini (two unrevealed characters of Choobs'), Scorpio (an unrevealed character of Iron Mouse's), Sagittarius (Elisna, Loogs' character), Aquarius (Prime), and Pisces (Karcharos, Kuroboom's character) might be considered available as well.

I think I might consider claiming Aries for an idea I had earlier today.

We talked about characters ending up with Zodiac Amulets, and you said you had plans for the Gemini Amulet and two of your cast?

I would like to start/finish Making Ashes, since it resides between the events of Gasoline (which could also get finished) and Blackbird's arrival in the Archipelago.
Also, I just re-read it and Elliot's got a random post in there. Is it supposed to be there?

No, me and Pohatu wrote that because, as a part of Antibibble, me and SV were gonna have a separate plot about a murder in Mauville and it'd been dead for so long but I still wanted to share the post since it didn't seem like it was going anywhere. I think I was supposed to wait for Lee, but it'd been like 11 months so I just posted it and moved on.

Actually now that I'm thinking about it, I agree with Biscuit, I'd like to see the three plots of Antibibble play out. I wouldn't have them all in the same thread though.

Antibibble's dilemma is that Iron Mouse is a critical person for El/SV's plot, and Blood is needed for mine. So two branches are almost incapable of progressing, bar a change in the current status quo. Photu and Biscuit could go ahead if both wanted to do theirs, however.

Could Iron Mouse and Blood's characters not be substituted? I know you considered one of your own characters for mine and SV's plot

I could do that. Not sure about Blood's character; I'd be much more apt to instead roll out a new third plot instead if we had to cut his branch.
So it'd be Making Ashes (Biscuit/Pohatu) SOMEtHING (No idea!) your truth (El/SV/Lee)

Does anybody remember our plans for the Poker Game RP? Would Biscuit still be able to deal?

I think it'd be fun to write a quest or horror RP dealing with characters who found themselves stuck in such a bizarre place, or maybe an exploration of the powers behind this. ~ Something that I've never had the chance to deal with, but have all the details written down on, is that Ayane's kidnappers (and Jiyuu & Suigin, too) are all travelling through mirrors from a magic-created pocket dimension (the "Urakuni" in the title). I'd say more on that, but it'd give away too much of what could be dealt with should the story ever be continued (which I seriously hope to; I don't like my beloved characters being in limbo). And in general, I love the idea of doing more stories that involve mirrors as gateways to the unknown and bizarre. The creativity abounding in doing such kinds of tales is grand in scope. ~ I'm a bit intrigued by this, having been involved recently in a LARP story that had zodiac-connected powers in magic talismans (based slightly on Final Fantasy Tactics; also I'm fond of zodiac related matters... and no, it wasn't because of being a Homestuck fan - though I'll admit it made my fondness for researching things stronger as a result).

(Is Kara aware that Pohatu has the rules set up for a FF:Tactics themed game of Mafia? If nothing else, it'd be something that'd probably be kinda fun to play with her LARP group. : 3 )
