OOC: Here's what we have for the chat RP thusfar. Expect weekly installments on Monday mornings. Color Key Lee=White Cendra=Black BloodWolf 7=Green SV=Blue Her hands deftly sculpted the clay, its cool slickness sliding under her palms as she masterfully teased out the details. Each pinch, each prod was perfectly executed, shifting the lump of earth into a form of her choosing. The girl looked away for a moment, reaching for a tool to scour the surface...
And found herself lying flat on her back on the stony ground, an alien sky with a red sun sinking over the horizon as her canopy. She heard a series of thuds around her as more slumped, scattered forms appeared.-------- Anita lay in her bed. Sleep was a bothersome thing, but unfortunately her body needed it. She wondered at times what it would be like to be free of it. To be open to the constant gathering and use of information. Slowly her day dream turned to random bits of acquired knowledge gathered from the day and sleep soon claimed her. Little did she know that when she woke she would have one of her greatest puzzles to solve. Primarily the puzzle of how she ended up in the a barren desert from her bed.-------- "Step forth my child, and seek for the cure to our curse. Enter the gate and step out onto a new world." commanded Mother. The young Dranid took a deep breath, its last on Inen, and stepped into the dark, swirling, abyss the others had conjured up with eyes shut. A roaring noise filled its ears momentarily, then silence.
Suddenly it felt hard stone beneath its feet, and the heat of the sun again. Opening its eyes the Dranid saw a barren wasteland, so much like that of the U.T.D. that it wondered if the spell had failed, if it was merely a different part of the Wastelands. Turning, the Dranid saw people, collapsed on the ground, and flinched. Why would they venture into the Wastelands? They must have been left there, perhaps to die. Still, rather than be discovered by agents of the human nations, the Dranid took a moment and settled an image of a young human male in its mind. Blond hair with light coppery touches began to grow, replacing the short black that was its own, the pastiness of its skin took a white hue to it, looking more like marble. The eyes shifted as well, sinking slightly into its skull and turning green, before long he stood there, with no difference apparent between him or any other human male that could call to his Dranid origins.-------- "Thank you for waiting!" the pink-haired woman on the other side of the counter chimed, setting down a tray holding three versicolor orbs. "They're all in great shape! We hope to see you again!"
Finch Fletcher nodded her thanks to the nurse and, pausing slightly, poked the button on the right-most pokeball. White light burst forth as it opened, subsiding into the form of a small, fluffy pokemon. The Eevee stretched. She looked glad to be back out in the open.
Finch slipped the pokeballs into her pack and started across the tiled reception area, Eevee close on her heels. The foyer doors slid open and the trainer had just enough time to register the unusually dry air before she was falling. She landed with a thud and a cry of surprise, catching her pokemon as it plummeted toward her.------- "Ah, one, two, three, four..." A feminine voice paused its lilting tally. "Four and a half if we count the fox... Hrmmm." Boots clicked lightly on the stony ground, the heavy heel impatiently tapping.
"We're a bit short, but that's okay. The others should be along shortly, once they untangle themselves from the spaceweft." The woman was incredibly petite, thin of frame and barely five feet tall. Her complexion was olive, and her hair raven-black. Her businesslike face had no adornment except for a dark smear under each eye, to help shield her eyes from the glare.
"Where... where are we?" The first girl to arrive tentatively asked, rolling over to sit up. She had a rich, dark complexion, covered by grayish clay in many spots. A large handprint covered most of her right cheek. She was clad in similarly muddied overalls, the clay leaving wet marks that quickly vanished on the dry stone.
"Welcome to Remora," The short woman proclaimed, her serious features betraying a trace of amusement.OOC: We haven't got very far yet, but admittedly, out of the two hours we had everybody, a good 40, 50% was spent on planning. If anybody would like to continue responding here, go ahead.

(OOC: I know this intro is alot longer than everyone else's, sorry, but this is a totally new character that I created. He is also the first non-human character that I have done so I felt like his intro needed to be thorough.)
Lightening arced brightly through the dark clouds in the sky, outlining the massive shape of a ship traveling overhead. Green lights could be seen exiting its many hangars, fighters being deployed to take out enemy targets. Nariem watched from his perch atop a fallen tower as the lights gracefully flew in formation across the sky. His four toes clutched the edge firmly, his claws tight against the moist stone and his arms rested on his knees in his crouched position. It had been raining for hours now and his scaly skin was shown to have a moist sheen to it whenever lightening cracked overhead. He wrinkled his short, pointed snout and flexed the long, tough quills along the top of his head as he sniffed the air, searching for a whiff of the enemy, but the rain was dampening his senses.
Suddenly he noticed movement on the crumbling stone roadway below his perch and angled his gaze down, his golden irises squinting around the dark slits of his pupils. He flexed his four fingers before he stood and ran swiftly towards a support beam that lay angled against the side of the fallen tower. He jumped down to it and landed on his back and slid down along the beam towards the roadway several feet below. He flew off the end of beam and kicked one of the enemies in the head before landing and rolling across the ground. Not wasting a second of the time that the enemy was startled he quickly drew his two particle pistols from the holsters on each hip and shot one of them in the head with a green bolt of charged particles. Only a second later he fired two more bolts into another’s chest, two enemy soldiers already dead as he quickly moved forward and kicked the particle rifle out of the hand of the one he had hit on his way in. The only four left were armed with fakithri blades, three foot long curved swords.
Nariem holstered his particle pistols and then reached back to grab the two curved hand grips on either side of his head and drew his own fakithri blades from their sheathes on the back of his combat suit. He twirled the blades a few times in his hands and then roared as he charged in, but then cloaked as they reached him. He suddenly uncloaked behind one of them and brought one blade around front of his throat and slit it swiftly with the inner curve of the blade, blackish colored blood spurting out as he fell dead. The next two attacked quickly and Nariem dropped and kicked one’s legs from under him and blocked the other’s blade as he came back up. He spun as he pushed the attacker’s blade to one side, quickly moving his second blade into a backhand grip and slicing the soldier’s throat with the outer curve as he finished his spin. As the other that he had knocked down was getting up Nariem ran straight at the other who was still standing, bringing both of his blades up to catch a straight down slice. He quickly drew both of his blades out so that the attacker’s blade was pushed up and then he kicked him square in the chest and sent him stumbling back into a wall.
Nariem knew that he needed to dispatch these last two enemies quickly before another patrol arrived. He turned quickly to throw one of his blades which spun through the air swiftly and landed deep in the shoulder of the soldier that had just gotten back up. He quickly turned in time to block another attack by the last soldier and then pushed his blade so hard to one side that the soldier’s blade was flung out of his hand. Nariem then brought his blade above his head and brought it straight down into the top of the soldier’s head, his body sinking to the ground against the wall. He pulled his blade from his head and then walked slowly back to the one he had hit in the shoulder with the other blade to find him still alive.
“May Kaegan show your spirit mercy if you reach Nar’kashan”, Nariem stated before bringing his blade up and then quickly driving the point down into his enemy’s chest.
He quickly retrieved both of his blades, spinning them in his hands a few times before reaching back and sheathing them on his back again and picked up one of the particle rifles they had been using. Now that this fight was finished he decided to hunt enemies elsewhere and quickly cloaked and ran off swiftly. He uncloaked atop the fallen tower again and leapt off the opposite side from where the fight had occurred. There was a sudden darkness and silence as he was falling before he suddenly felt hot, dry air all around him and he landed on hot, dry stone. He squinted as his eyes were forced to adjust to the sudden assault of sunlight. He had landed in a perched position on both feet with his finger tips on one hand lightly supporting him as well. As he looked up he could see the figures of other people of some strange kind sprawled across the ground in front of a standing figure nearby.
(OOC: Nariem is of the Visarian species.)

"Whoa, holy moley!" The clay spattered girl yelped as the reptilian being plummeted out of thin air. She tumbled sideways, landing on her knees with a ball of clay clutched in her fist. Her attempt to smash it into the ground was interrupted by their abductor clearing her throat loudly, and clicking her boot heels on the arid soil.
"Mellow, mellow. He's with us. As is the next one who's going to show up." Glowering, she turned away and started walking, "But after that? Yeah, anything else that shows up is out to kill us."

Amethyst Green ran with the Doctor, trying to escape yet another group of aliens they had angered. Her short black hair whipped to and fro as she tried her best to keep up with her long-legged friend. She looked back for a moment catching a glimpse of the red-faced Surenids, holding spears and gaining ground fast.
"You had to go and insult their king, didn't you?" The Doctor complained.
"Excuse me, but I never knew English would translate to their language like THAT!" Amethyst yelled back.
she was huffing and puffing and reached for the Doctor's hand when suddenly, he vanished, everything was gone. She hit the ground with a thud. She brushed off the dust and slowly came to her feet. Amethyst looked around cautiously, trying to make sense of what just happened to her and where she had ended up.
The woman's attempt at nonchalantly strolling away was immediately interrupted by a screaming girl in a hoodie charging out of thin air. She paused, letting the newcomer tumble past her, and offered her a hand as she rose to her knees.
"I must say, as a whole, you've all responded so much more fluidly than Cinquante's group. He might have gone for raw power, but I've got the knack." She purred.
"And now that you're all here, I can finally explain what's going on." She cracked her neck, and let out a deep, satisfied sigh.
"My name is Ethrisisa Valens, and this place here, is Remora. This world is my home, and it has fallen under a hostile invasion by those that seek to dominate it and claim it under their own draconian rule." She took a step back, indicating the blasted desert landscape with an expansive wave of her hand.
"I've sought each of you to help me liberate it, to bring freedom to my people, to bring justice where there is only brutal oppression. I know that I've asked naught for consent, but this is a most urgent matter."
Nariem stood slowly as his eyes adjusted to the sunlight, steam rising from his combat suit as well as his grey, scaly skin. He looked around at the barren landscape and then at the strange creatures standing around him before fixing his gaze upon the one that had been speaking, squinting his eyes into a glare.
"Your explanation is noted creature", he stated in a deep growlish voice before raising the particale rifle he had claimed, putting Valens's head in his crosshairs. "I am a soldier with his own war to fight for my own people, a war which you have taken me away from. I do not know by what means you have done this, but I suggest that you reverse it."
"I can reverse it!" Erisisa proclaimed brightly, snapping her fingers. She cocked her head, baring her teeth slightly. "But there's a catch."
"This little bangle on my wrist? That's what brought you here. But it doesn't have the power to send you back. It's a read-only sort of situation, sadly. But our enemy has the technology to send things back!" The woman's grin widened, showing all of her teeth and an unsettling portion of her gums. "So, if you want to go home, it's as simple as pointing that peashooter at them, not me."
Nariem narrowed his eyes at her through his scope and then snarled slightly, "then just show me a target, but as soon as a way home comes into my sights you can fully expect me to check out of this little charade."
"As for this 'peashooter' as you call it, I shall keep it aimed at whom ever I find standing in my way", he said as he lowered the weapon slowly. "Make haste, my patience will not hold forever."
"All business. I like that!" Erisisa tittered, "It's a pity that you won't hang around, but I'll do my best not to deprive your people."
She resumed walking the path she'd been on before Amethyst had crashed into it. "This is the way. This path? It's the way for all of us to get our homes back."
"Now, whatever shall I call each of you?"

The Eevee growled (albeit quietly), ears back, at the reptilian that had materialized. Finch clambered to her feet, placing a reassuring hand on the tiny pokemon's head. She looked around, focusing on nothing. The shock of walking out of a pokemon center and into the middle of a rocky desert had not quite settled in yet, hovering instead somewhere on the periphery of her mind poised to crash down at the least convenient moment. She busied herself by half-glancing at her fellow victims of space-time kidnapping and half-watching the reptilian fellow square off against the petite lady who identified herself as Erisisa.
Her mind snapped back into the moment at Erisisa's question. "I'm Finch," she said, and before she could stop herself, "what exactly is it you're expecting us to do?"
"We're going to cross those dunes over yonder, and plow straight through all the resistance that the Hand of God can put out." The woman flung her hand ahead dramatically.
"Oh, good. Sounds like a pretty easy mission, everything said and done." The darker complexioned girl spoke again, her tone genial and relaxed even in their odd circumstances. She offered a clay-covered hand to Finch.
"I'm Tielly. Tielly Gernatts."
Finch took it, hesitating a moment at the sight of the muck on her new acquantance's hands.
"I just hope the Doc got away from those Surenids." Amethyst mumbled to herself as she adjusted her glasses and patted down her hair, looking to the other people around. She had to use the term pretty loosely as she wasn't sure about any of the beings present though most appeared human. She listened to the reptilian warrior and this 'Erisisa Valens' woman speaking and thought for a moment.
"So...THIS is your army to lead your people to freedom?" She finally said and gestured to people as she named them off, "Some girl with a cat, a second girl who is currently asleep, another girl covered in clay, a fourth girl--that's me, Ace, by the way--who's traveled through time and space in a box, an over-grown lizard, and some sort of shape-shifter? That doesn't sound like the best plan."
"I am called many things back home", Nariem spoke up, "but you may refer to me as Nariem, anything beyond that is none of your concern."
Nariem listened to the dialogue between Valens and the other abducties and began to grow impatient with standing around and then spoke up again. "This 'Ace' creature makes a valid point. I see no strategic value to anyone here other than myself and the longer I stand around here the more of my people die, people that I could have saved."
With that Nariem marched off in the direction of the dunes that Valens had pointed to, "I will kill any resistance on my own if I must, but I will stand here and listen to idle banter no longer."

The Dranid glowered at the woman, scarcely sparing another glance at the rest of the group. "By what rights do you think you can hold me, woman? I came here by Mother's will and power and it is Her power that will free me of this world when my own mission is complete. There are no magics or 'technology' that you possess that could stop that!"
In truth, he was a bit unsure. She obviously possessed the power to bring them there, could she keep them there too? Her "technology" was obviously more advanced than the Humans or Anids of Inen.

"When your mission is complete." Erisisa echoed in a singsong voice, doing her best to meet the Dranid's gaze. "You just said it yourself. You're stuck here until whoever she is calls you back."
"Or, as they say 'don't call us, we'll call you."
"Can this technology bring life back to a dead land? Can that be found here?"
"Oh, oh, oh ho ho!" Erisisa chortled, flinging back her head, and closing her eyes. "That, above all else, is the secret of the world of Remora. This land has been desolate for years, and only now that we've found a solution, The Hand of God seeks to supress it."
She continued strolling along behind the reptilian warrior, trailing the group behind her.
"So until we get them out of the way, you're stuck. But if we can overcome them? Oh, you couldn't even IMAGINE the bounty."
She misunderstood. It wasn't a matter of being stuck here until the mission was complete. It was that the there was a job to be done and no self-respecting Dranid would refuse a task from Mother. The way the woman spoke, matched with the dead land around them, seemed to indicate a lie. But it had to be investigated. It must be known; one way or another.
"I'm sure I can imagine a great deal more than you can. Still, I will do as I am bid.
"Sounds like a plan," Tielly offered warmly, cutting off Erisisa before the smaller woman could begin gloating. She didn't like butting in and taking control of the flow of conversations, but she always got stuck doing this with her guildmates. Either the twins, or Abby and one of the older members... The key was to act like a wedge, and drive the two sides apart before there could be much friction.
Erisisa began to say something, but her words deflated and died in her throat. She gestured towards the horizon, where a faint swirling of black dots arose in the sky.
"Birds?" Tielly offered hopefully, already knowing from their abductor's grave composure that it was nothing of the sort.
"A lot worse than that; Draken, the shock troopers of the Hand of God. One, two, three, four, five..." Erisisa paused, rapidly licking her lips, her wildly focusing from point to point. "Six, ... Seven. That's the most I've ever seen at one time." Her boisterous demeanor started fading. "I don't know how they did it. I thought we'd be able to go under their radar, just slip by them and-"
"But we're going to have to fight, aren't we?" Tielly slipped her muddy hand into a pounch on the front of her overalls, producing another small sculpture.
"Yes, it does quite look like you'll have to fight. We'll have to fight." Erisisa whispered.

Nariem glanced back at the rest of the group, "if the presence of a mere seven enemies gives you pasue then you are in the wrong place. If there is no way of evading them than I suggest we find suitable cover and prepare for battle unless you all wish to stand here and die."
He quickly pointed ahead, "there are plenty of boulders and rock outcroppings for cover up ahead, we should use them. Those of you who can fight follow me and be prepared for anything. Those of you who can not, stay out of the way."
With his part said Nariem turned and quickly pushed forward once more, heading for the rocky area ahead before the dunes in the distance. He did not run, but moved quickly to reach cover without expending a lot of energy.
"Fight?" Amethyst said under her breath and pulled the sonic screwdriver from her pocket.
She looked over the silver screwdriver, listening to Nariem's words and considered all that had transpired. She didn't believe that violence ever solved anything, that's why her and the Doctor used the sonic as opposed to any weapon. It didn't wound, kill, or maim. It was a tool; it was used to fix things, not fight a battle. But regardless, Amethyst decided that if she must fight...then she would. Tucking the screwdriver away, she reassured herself that she had to help people, of any species, by any means possible. If that meant fighting a few dragons, then so be it.
"Looks like I'm in." She stated and looked back at the other party members then followed after Nariem.

Anita stared at a lizard that had situated itself on the pea plant. She had never seen this species before! Excited to learn something new, she reached out her hand in hopes of capturing it. Her slow movements got her close, but just as she was about to touch it she brushed her knuckles against some of the pods on the plant, which responded by shooting it's purple peas in her face. “Ugh, that's right. This is a dream. I hate dreams. Nothing makes sense.” She glowered at her surroundings and wiped the purple blotches from her face. Huffing, she went to kick a rock into the yellow pool of water, but froze at the sound of screams and thuds coming from the distance. The thuds grew closer, trees falling left and right from the source with loud cracks and crashes of their own. Just as a pare of giant red ears poked out into view above the trees, a group of people broke through the tree line. “Giant fox!! Run!” Yelled one of the women then turned to another next to her. "So...THIS is your army to lead your people to freedom?" She said and gestured to people, naming them off as she ran, "Some girl with a cat, a second girl who is currently asleep, another girl covered in clay, a fourth girl--that's me, Ace, by the way--who's traveled through time and space in a box, an over-grown lizard, and some sort of shape-shifter? That doesn't sound like the best plan." Anita tried her best to make out details about the people she was now running with, but couldn't quite do it. They were there, but it was like her mind couldn't proses them properly. “There are plenty of boulders and rock outcroppings for cover up ahead, we should use them.” Just as one of the persons said it, the terrain changed to rocky with perfect hiding places. “We should go unseen for as long as possible.” Anita whispered to the group. The thuds had slowed considerably because of the terrain change, but that didn't make her any less uneasy. Even though this was a dream, the need for self preservation was hard to ignore. If nothing else, this would give her some strategy practice. She continued after a short pause, “like Ace said before, this might not be the best group for a confrontation. At least not until we know all our assets better.” ---- Anita mumbled in the dirt and rolled over, arms flopped out to the side. “We should go 'nseen for as long as poss'ble. like Ace said 'fore, this m' not be best group for a confr'ntat'n. Least not n'til we know all our asse's better. ” The words came out soft and slurred to the group. OOC: Just so things are clear, Anita is still sleeping, but her brain is taking in bits of what is happening in the waking world and putting them in her dream. Not necessarily in the right order or context, but there none the less. So, if you talk to her, she may or may not hear what you're saying or know why you're saying it. She also may or may not sleep talk a reply. It might just be in her head. Have fuuun!!

The bird-like things Erisisa called Draken were drawing up on them much too quickly. Finch rushed over to their narcoleptic companion, kneeling to get an arm around her.
"Someone help me carry her!"she said, struggling to pull the girl to her feet. Her Eevee nipped at the sleeper's pantleg, tugging urgently. "We don't have time to wait for her to wake up!"

Humans. In nearly all the worlds they had visited humans had been present. They varied a bit in looks, but they possessed the same basic skills, the same basic intelligence, the same basic strength. The key difference was the worlds they came from and how this caused them to develop. And with so many different humans, and even the lizard-man, it would be important to find out if they would make for viable teammates sooner, rather than later. With a sigh the Dranid grabbed the sleeping girl from Finch and swung her over a shoulder. "I'll take her, you just focus on those creatures."

"Amethyst! There you are!" Said a voice to Amethyst's right. She turned in her curiosity and was met by an image of the Doctor but he was fading in and out.
"Doctor?" She said aloud with confusion in her voice. He looked as though he was about to speak but then disappeared. She furrowed her brow, befuddled, and suddenly found herself in the TARDIS. The Doctor poked his head around from the other side of the console and grinned. He stepped quickly around it and enveloped Amethyst in a hug.
"Wait, wha-what?" She said, unable to find the proper words. The Doctor let her go and was still grinning ear-to-ear.
"I just pulled you out of another dimension." He said as if proud and shoved his hands in his pockets, swaying side to side on the balls of his feet.
"But-but they're in danger! They need me." She pushed the Doctor aside and looked to the controls. She began flipping switches and turning nobs in a failed attempt to reverse whatever the Doctor just did.
"What? Who's in danger? What's happened?" He said worriedly. Amethyst explained the best she could as she examined the console, still trying to get back to Remora or whatever that place was.
"It's complicated." She finished.
"Ok, good, I like complicated." The Doctor immediately rushed off down the hall and returned with a box and a strange looking contraption. He handed Amethyst the box then set the device on the console and began adjusting it. "I can't come with you." He said as he worked, "That's been made clear. This Valens woman you mentioned seems to want you, and you alone. If she wanted me, she would have taken me along with you." He stood up straight holding his hand over a button.
"Please don't worry too much." Amethyst said examining the small box, "It's bad for your hearts. Now, what is-" She looked back up but was already back in Remora. She gave a sigh and saw the rocks she had been walking towards previously were now beside her. She looked behind herself to see Nariem walking towards her and the others trailing far behind. She moved the box to her other hand, still unsure of what it was.

Nariem blinked a bit as he suddenly saw Amethyst appear ahead of him and narrowed his slit like eyes as he approached. “You! How did you do that?” He growled as he got close and starred her down, “do you possess some form of means to teleport from one place to another?”
After a few seconds he noticed the box that Amethyst was now carrying in her hand, “what is that and where did you get it? You did not have that in your possession when you first arrived.” He narrowed his eyes at her once more, “you left this place briefly and went somewhere else didn’t you? How?”

Amethyst was caught off guard by Nariem and jumped slightly at his voice. She looked up at him wide-eyed.
"Well...uh..." She stammered then took breath through her nose, "Okay, if I expect you to trust me at all, I have to tell the truth, right? You see, I have this...friend." she used hand gestures as she spoke, "He was trying to save me after I was pulled here but I explained what happened and he sent me back. And the box?" She held up the odd ceramic cube so he could see it better, "He gave it to me but I have no clue what it does." She turned it over in her hands several times, focusing now on the box, "But I have full faith in him that he wouldn't give me something useless." She mumbled.

Nariem glared at her momentarily and then huffed lightly, “you were lucky to have had a chance of escaping from this inconvenience…you are a fool for returning to a war that has nothing to do with you, a war that you were forced into fighting.”
He turned and began to walk away amongst the giant rocks, but stopped and looked back over his shoulder at Amethyst, “I hope your faith in this friend of yours is well placed. If it is then perhaps he will be able to save you before this wretched creature…”, he motioned to Valens, “…gets all of us killed.” With that he turned and walked off, looking up and ahead at the approaching enemy.

"I'm quite assured we'll be finding out exactly how useful that box is, post haste," Erisisa muttered, taking a defensive stance behind the outcropping. The wingbeats of the Draken were audible now, a leathery snapping reminiscent of canvas flapping in the wind. The scientist slouched lower, reaching into the thigh-pocket of her rugged pants. She began feeding out a length of chain, tipped in a wicked looking point with a bladed phalanges extending to either side.
"Ah, so this'll be a proof of concept? How wonderful!" Tielly responded with genuine delight. She rummaged through the pocket on her overalls, producing three small clay effigies, one a spiked rope, another a length of wire culminating in a power coupler, and the third, an elegant likeness of a cowrie shell.
"You know, if you'd just told me this'd be a chance to field test things, I would've been a lot more-" Tielly was cut off by a harsh, rasping roar. She felt the back of her neck prickle, the hairs standing on end. She was too young to remember the dragons that had dominated her land when she was a child, but anybody from Fiore knew draconic authority down to their very bones. Even the strongest of guilds didn't stand a chance when a dragon was on a rampage.
Tielly bit her lip, and chewed at it for a moment. Whatever her culture, whatever her instincts said, these weren't full fledged dragons. These were pint-sized knockoffs, and she wasn't going to let them throw her off. She passed the wire sculpture to her right hand, and smiled. She couldn't have asked for a better chance to try out her creations!
WHUMPF! A cloud of sand and grit blew over the edge of their shelter, showering their ragtag band. WHUMPF! Another Draken plummeted from the sky, hooking its dive so that it almost struck Erisisa. The woman tumbled out of the way, coming up in a crouch with her wicked blades spinning. The impacts came more rapidly now, like a series of titanic drumbeats. Dragons the size of grizzly bears swooped in, aiming to crush their foes into the ground as they landed.

The group seemed to ignore her suggestion and proceed to take their fighting positions. The rumblings became deafening as red and white fur dominated the view in front of them. Anita shook her head and sighed in frustration.
“Aren't you supposed to be able to control everything in a lucid dream? My imaginary people wont even listen to me!” Just as she was about to dive away from the huge oncoming paw, her body went limp.
“What?!” She began to breath quickly, “It's only a dream! It's only a dream! Don't do anything drastic. You'll wake up any second!” Suddenly the scene went black. Just as Anita started to wonder if she was stuck in some type of limbo, her mind began to reconstruct her surroundings. For a moment Anita was relieved, but it was short lived as she saw the new scene take shape. The sting of needles in her skin, the straps around her arms and legs. The adrenaline shot through her body making her heart pound even faster than before and lose herself in the nightmare.
“No! Not this one! Not again!” With new found strength, she struggled against her bonds. “Stop! I'm not a copy! Wait!” she screamed. Machines hummed and lights flashed, there was only one thing to do.
“Auto Attack and Defense!” Again, Anita lost control of her body, but unlike before, she invited it. Eyes seeing, calculating, but not feeling. She only had one objective. Self preservation. In a flash her bonds were broken and the ones holding them received solid blows to the face. With the same eyes Anita watched as the scene changed once again, but this time to a more accurate replica of the real world.
-------Dream and Reality-------
Looking to her left Anita saw the one who had been designated the “shifter”, acknowledging he had been struck a few times. No serious injuries were registered, however emotional indignation was conclusive from its expression and clearly she was meant to be the recipient.
“My apologies.” The sound of her voice was smooth, but dead. “Subconscious defense is difficult to activate.” Even in this state it was important to maintain her alliances. She was strong with this body, but not invincible.
The beating of heavy wings was hard to miss as the dragons thundered through the air. Deciding higher ground would be more ideal than behind the boulders, Anita jumped on the largest boulder available. Claws and scales came hurtling towards her, but there she stood. Seeing, calculating then, suddenly, at the last second, ACTION! She jumped into the air as the attacker came swooping by. Her body spun and both legs connected with the back of it's skull. The damage was imminent. A concussion to the back of the head, impairing both balance and vision. It seemed well worth the physical damaged done to her body. Some deep bruising would appear on her feet and legs, but she would be alive.
Now it all depended on her allies performances. The less she had to involve herself in the fight itself, the better.

Nariem quickly noticed that one of the flying beasts was gliding down straight at him and he bared his teeth and charged forward, aiming his particle rifle up at the beast. It roared and prepared to land in front of him and he quickly fired at its wings several times, punching holes in them which burned out larger. The beast quickly lost lift and dropped rapidly from the air and slammed into one of the boulders it had intended to fly over.
As Nariem prepared to climb onto the boulder the creature had crashed into, another of the beasts swooped in from the side. He quickly turned out of its path, but its claws glanced the particle rifle and knocked it from his hands. Without hesitation he reached back and drew the two curved fakithri blades from their sheaths on his back and spun them.
“Come then beast!” He growled as he watched it turning through the air to come at him again.
Although he had never fought a winged enemy such as this before, he had watched the hunting behavior and flight movements of the most similar creatures on his home world, the revered Novakaru. It was clear, however, that these Draken beasts were nothing like the gentle giants he knew of from home. The Novakaru were always peaceful towards his people unless provoked, but were quick to anger if their eggs were disturbed. Nariem also couldn’t help, but laugh inwardly at these small winged beasts as compared to even a newborn Novakaru in size. This, however, gave him no intention of underestimating these aggressive beasts and looked at the Draken as worthy and dangerous opponents.
As the Draken came around and swooped in to take another pass at him, Nariem quickly side stepped as it rushed past him and he slashed the back of its ankle and severed the tendon there. The beast groaned in pain as it flew up into the air after passing and it would now be crippled if it chose to land. He spun his blades again and kept his eyes on the creature in the sky and readied himself for it to try and make another pass at him. As he watched it turning in the air again it climbed higher in the air this time before suddenly diving straight down towards him.

Amethyst gasped and fell backward as a draken snapped at her and growled. She almost gagged at the smell of it's breath. It lunged forward, clawing at her as she stumbled to her feet and started running, clutching the box to her chest.
"Come on, what do you do, what do you DO?!" She yelled at the box, running away from the draken. Looking back, she saw it was gaining ground. She mumbled profanities as she continued, dodging the others as they fought the beasts. She fumbled with the box, pointing the sonic screwdriver at each side, thinking perhaps she could open it. When she turned it to the right face of the box, it lit up. As soon as it did so, Amethyst tripped over a rock. The box tumbled out of her hands and stopped a few feet in front of her, now open but right next to another draken. She jumped to her feet and scrambled toward the box. The draken noticed the box and sniffed at it but suddenly backed away as if scared. Amethyst ignored the reaction and grabbed the box, reaching a hand inside.
"Aha!" She exclaimed as she pulled out the first thing she could grab. It was an oar.
"But-" before she could finish her thought, the first draken had caught up and came crashing down on her, snapping the wooden oar in half. This one seemed to notice the box too and recoiled. Amethyst found her feet again, holding her back with one hand and the box with the other.
"Of COURSE you're bigger on the inside...stupid to think you weren't." The draken appeared to have rounded up it's courage and was once again running at her. She sprinted away--silently thankful she was so used to running for her life--back toward the rocks and the others. She kept searching the box, hoping to find something halfway useful.
"Banana, no. Bowtie? Okay then. Celery stick, no, food's not gonna help." She whipped the items behind her, leaving a trail for the beast. "A rubber duck? Seriously? Great, he gave me his junk drawer. Wait, is this a-" She pulled on something metal, "Alright, it was Amethyst in the conservatory with a lead pipe!" She wheeled around and smacked the draken with the long pipe. The draken was caught off guard and was left slightly disoriented but still on it's feet.
"Okay, maybe you're not totally useless." She said to the box.

The kick to the head knocked the Dranid to the ground, the girl sliding out form its grasp entirely. The world faded in and out of focus, the sounds of the scuffle going unnoticed. Slowly it began to rise up, pain flaring as it did so.
Everyone is busy fighting, this is my chance. I will see their skills myself. it thought. Slowly the Dranid moved backwards away from the group, its form wavering slightly until it was scarcely noticable among the desolate landscape.

The air around the stunned draken flashed with white-gold light. There was a crack of thunder, and the dragonoid beast staggered to the side, revealing a tiny panther-like pokemon, little sparks of static dancing over the tufts of its fur.
Behind it stood Finch, pokeball in hand, wide-eyed and pale as she looked from her Shinx to the draken to Amethyst. The trainer caught the eye of her pipe-wielding companion and, after a stunned moment, nodded in the direction of the dazed monster. Shall we?, the gesture seemed to ask.
OOC: Finch + Amethyst = battle buddies 4 lyfe.

“And here we go!” Tielly cartwheeled to the side, her cornrows clattering in the wind as a Draken blew past her. She stuck her landing, instantly springing up and transitioning to a loose guard stance. It banked back around, luminous eyes narrowing.
This time, the dragon ascended sharply, bowing its body upwards and darting into the sky. Tielly tracked it as best she could, the beast's silhouette lost in the glare of the sunlight. At this angle, it could crash down on her unhindered, leaving her defenseless... Unless... The mage lobbed two of her sculptures into the air, snapping them both into her left hand. Pitching back, she cocked her right arm, and then lunged forward. She threw the remaining figure directly into the sun's light with a loud zip, and was rewarded with a crunch as it burst on the incoming Draken.
“Encrypt: Barbwire!” Tielly turned the momentum of her pitch into a front roll, tumbling out of the way as the draconic beast hit the earth on all fours. Shards of stone kicked up by the impact zipped past her, one scraping her shoulder, and another hitting her in the ribs, her overalls taking most of the blow but leaving her stinging. The predator glared at her where she had landed, off-balance and in a crouch. It bared yellow fangs, flexed its claws, and then lunged for her.
At that moment, a latticework of luminous blue strands appeared wreathing it. Jagged thorns sprouted from the lines, gouging into the thick, leathery scales of the Draken. The beast jerked short as the lights faded, ensnared in coil after coil of viciously barbed iron. Its teeth snapped inches from Tielly's face, sparks singing her cheek.
Tielly threw an elbow into the soft underside of its chin, making it jerk back as she staggered to her feet.
“Just wait until my friends hear I got to fight a dragon all by myself! I don't think they'll even believe me!” Tielly mused, fading back to a safer distance from her restrained foe, “Granted, this isn't remotely over yet, is it?”
The reptile rose onto its hindquarters with some effort, the wires still impeding its movement. Its glare met her gaze, the orbs like a cat's eyes carved from jade. Tielly couldn't help but feel a cold chill through her body, her shoulders shaking involuntarily. It inhaled, swelling up, and flexed its mighty sinews. Strand after strand of the steel snapped like cheap twine, twanging loudly.
Letting out a loud snarl, it bounded at Tielly, lashing out with its claws. The sculptor twisted away from the strike, the blow still biting through the leg of her overalls on the outside of her thigh.
“'Course it's not.” ------ “Aren't I a treasure?” Ethrisisa laughed, skipping over a green Draken's spiny tail. The beast completed the spin, attempting to backhand her with momentum of its turn, and faceplanted into gritty earth.
“Oh, my bad, dear friend,” The scientist scoffed, and jerked her arm, unwinding her length of chain from where she'd looped it around the monster's leg, “You know, chere, I bear no you no ill will. It's merely force of habit.”
“Call it a vice of mine, but it's hard to avoid picking up a few proclivities when you're so regularly assaulted by the forces of that wretched god-emperor of yours,” Ethrisisa lofted the blade of her chain above her head, and snagged the line between her hands. She levered it her grip, bringing the spike whistling down to slash apart the dragon's wings.
CLANK! The dragon's tail batted the weapon aside before it could bite home, and the weapon sunk into the ground beside it. Its brutish paw seized the chain, and it jerked on it, sending Ethrisisa flying. She lost her grip and snapped free, landing a good ten paces from her foe.
Ethrisisa bounced once, then torqued sideways, rolling into a slide to minimize the impact. As soon as the scientist came to a stop, she flipped to her feet. She courteously gestured to the dragon as it clambered back to its feet, bowing at the waist.
“Shall we?”
The Draken responded by exhaling a gout of crimson flames, the air around it roiling. The wall of flames roared at her, glassing the desert surface between them. The attack engulfed her with a loud, piercing hiss.
When the flames dissipated, Ethrisisa stood unmarred, albeit drenched in water and with a few strands of seaweed tangled around her. Charred fish twitched, scattered on the ground all around her.
“It's not going to be that easy, dear,” She tapped the watchlike device on her wrist, “Our technology was first designed for pilfering seawater, after all. No, if you want me, you're going to have to come and get me.”
Unfurling its wings, the dragon charged at her. Ethrisisa charged to meet it, stepping inside the reach of its claws to avoid the initial slash. She kicked one of the fish into the air and grabbed it, swinging it into the Draken's face. It recoiled, eye squeezed shut and blood trickling from where a spine in a fin had gouged it. Roaring in pain, it brought its paw to its chest, catching the fugitive in a mighty bearhug.
“Forward, aren't we? What would your mother say?” She chuckled, straining against the creature's grasp. Its hold tightened, pinning her arms across her chest. Ethrisisa let out a squeak as the air was forced from her lungs.
“Down, boy,” Using her fingertips, she grabbed one of the strands of kelp on her shoulder, and whipped it directly into the Draken's good eye with an audible snap.
It flung her away from itself with a shrill screech belying its bulky form. Ethrisisa planted her feet, skidding into a crouch. She grabbed her chain from where it had fallen, and stood up again, twirling the end by her fingertips.
“Well, then... Up for round three?”

Nariem shielded his eyes with one of his blades as he tracked the Draken’s descent within the glare of the sun. Behind him he noticed a rather tall, solid slab of rock standing amidst the boulders. He waited, tracking the beast still, he would need to time this perfectly. At a particular point in the creature’s descent Nariem turned quickly and began running at full speed towards the tall slab of rock. As he neared the slab and ran up a slanted rock in the ground he heard the Draken as it swooped low behind him. At the end of the slanted rock he jumped with all of his momentum at the rock slab, his feet connecting, his knees bent and then he kicked off, launching himself towards the Draken just as it began to pull up. His launch sent him slightly to the right as he had hoped and with his blades ready he sliced through the Draken’s left wing as he passed it in the air.
The Draken roared in pain, losing its lift and slamming straight into the solid slab of stone with a heavy thud and then fell backwards to the ground. The back of its head connected with the tip of the slanted rock in the ground with a sickening crunch.
Nariem landed just a foot or so from the other side of the slanted rock squarely on his feet in a slightly crouched position. He stood slowly and glanced back at the lifeless beast that lay behind him. “A noteworthy attempt, but it seems Kaegan favors me on this day.”
There was suddenly a loud roar from ahead of him and he looked ahead to see another Draken emerging from behind a boulder, its heavy feet thumping as it walked. As the beast neared it unfurled its tattered wings and glared at Nariem, it was the same one he had shot down earlier.
“So my first opponent rises again for round two, excellent”, he said with a slight grin.
The Draken reared its head back and then lunged forward, spraying a gout of searing, crimson flames at Nariem. With an initial facial expression of surprise Nariem quickly dove and rolled away as the flames glassed the sandy ground where he had been standing.
“Unexpected, but then the most rewarding challenges usually are”, he said under his breath as he quickly got to his feet. As the Draken roared and charged toward him he quickly sheathed his blades and rolled away as the beast attempted to stomp him into the ground with its heavy foot. He quickly grabbed the particle rifle, that had been knocked from his grasp earlier, and ran into the field of boulders as the creature thundered after him.
“You were once an aerial master, but now lets see how you do on your feet like the rest of us!” He taunted, weaving between boulders, challenging the beast to catch him. It weaved and darted swiftly and expertly between the boulders as it followed, but once in awhile Nariem would pull a turn that would nearly cause it to lose its balance.
After a bit more cat and mouse Nariem suddenly stopped and let the beast charge right at him. Just as it prepared to snap him up in its mouth he suddenly cloaked and it missed him, sliding to a hault. The Draken snarled a bit and looked around a bit confused and then roared and sprayed flames across the ground all around itself. It sniffed the ground around the area trying to find its prey, but finding only the particle rifle laying on the ground near a high rock. Nariem then suddenly reappeared just before landing on the back of the creatures head and driving both of his blades in deep. The beast simply collapsed without a sound save for the heavy thud of its body hitting the dry ground.
“A valiant effort rewarded by a good death, go in peace.”
