What an absolutely delightful little game! And I'm not even being sarcastic!
Who else has played it?

You don't know what it is ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Then you should download it here and play it without looking up any information about it online. It's a really quick little platformer. There are only eight levels. Trust me on this one. Worth checking out.

So do work.
And DON'T research Eversion.
And then go home and play Eversion.

I played until level 6 then got frustrated.
It's like someone took Vision by Proxy and tried to make something as hard as Super Meat Boy but forgot to include the super tight controls for twitch platforming.

Yeah level 6 is tough when you're trying to drop down through the holes to make it through that last maze.
But so worth it.

I watched the rest of it on youtube. Level 7 looks awful. I mean, I like the idea of the game, and I like how things are presented, but the core mechanic (eversing in places) needs some better telegraphing so that the player just doesn't find themselves lost all the time.
Like, good job some of the time on indicating that there might be an eversion point using gems or using alcoves or putting them in a path that the player is guaranteed to pass. It's super cool that you only have a screen shimmer and a change in music to indicate these places. The problem I have, though, is the insane amounts of backtracking and senseless wandering you'd need to do for 100% with no indication of where the next eversion point is because there was no shimmer when that point was not allowed. This is "easily" solvable by smart placement of gems and walls to guide a player toward a place. (say, when you everse somewhere, a previously unobtainable gem is now obtainable, and while going there, on the second to last block, there's another eversion point that may not be useful now, but it turns out to be the one you need later on)
The other issue I have is when those points are just in completely random places. Okay, while I hate memorizing stuff, I can see how making the player memorize locations could be interesting, but making them guess in the first place is just poor design. Again, fixable with smart placement of gems and obstacles.
My other major, but unrelated, issue is just that the controls do not feel good. Too much inertia for those single block jumps, and the player is exactly as big those single block holes. This could eventually get overcome by muscle memory with the player just repeatedly redoing a level over and over again like with Super Meat Boy, but twitch is in direct opposition with the exploration mechanic.
