"Arch Caerus?" Caerus turned towards the voice, finding a Disciple behind him. His grey eye's flicked up to the young mans face. It was Lucas Mavrick, otherwise known as Grin. Lucas grinned at Caerus, his whole face a picture of excitement.
"I think we're ready," He said, "Should I tell the others you're coming?"
Caerus nodded, "Yes go ahead, I'm nearly finished here. The next portion of the ritual shouldn't be hard. The basic structure has been fitted correctly though, you're all sure?"
Lucas nodded, "Yes its all fit and sealed. The inherent crystal structure is stable, and all the triform and quadform spell leads have been laid."
Caerus grinned this time, "Ah finally, I've had this dream for too long. It about time it came to fruition."
"You do know that the Arch Magi still think you're insane right?" Lucas asked.
Caerus sighed, "Yes I know, they're still convinced that the center of magic focus is Earth. No one seems to want to even look at my theories."
"Magic itself doesn't sit in a specific place, the mechanism doesn't have a fixed location. Magic, merely by its essence, is attracted and developed by life. Without life, there is no magic, and without magic there is no life. The deep void between worlds holds no magic, because the deep void holds no life." Lucas quoted.
"Yes yes, they stipulate that the universe itself isn't alive and shouldn't be considered a living organism. Therefor magic only exists on an axis with the concentrated power of life. Which is foolish really, the universe itself has to be alive, otherwise how are our cells alive? Magic is a layer over our entire world, and it twists the most where life interacts with it." Caerus said.
"The magic out there may be different, but it is still magic. And we should still be able to call it, where-ever we are. For if we are living, we carry our magic with us, even if its a very small twist." Lucas nodded, grinning. He and the other disciples had first listened to this argument with great appericiation, and ever growing understanding. The world didn't have to ride metal into the future. Not nessisarily.
"Is that why the core is so complicated? A provision for that twist or something?" He asked.
Caerus smiled, "Of course. The more of our magic we carry with us, the more easily we'll be able to interact with the neutral magic out there."
"Sweet," Lucas said, grinning ear to ear. Caerus smiled, there was a reason the others called him Grin.
OOC: Please note this is till being written, I was called away from my computer before I could finish this post. If you want to pop in as a Disciple thats ok, but its not open to other entry at the moment.
