this is the greatest show in the history of ever.
I started watching the show when the Doctor was Tennant, couple years ago during a marathon on SciFi. David Tennant is hot. Eleven is pretty cool so far, and also he thinks fezes are cool. But I don't like his douchey Twilight haircut.
inb4 brits "doctor who sucks" because they're so overexposed over there, "tennant sucks", and any sarcastic/ironic/snarky remark from choobs.

Doctor Who's pretty awesome, and Tennant is also pretty awesome. He was a brilliant Doctor, no doubt about it.
Eccleston definitely needed another series though. Just as he started to show himself as a proper Doctor, whoops he died. It would've been nice for him to have fleshed out as much as Tennant did.
Smith's good, but the series itself feels a bit lacking, Like, it doesn't feel like he's done altogether that much. Everything he does seems to get overshadowed somehow, usually by Amy doing something dramatic or emotional or something. The finale was definitely a step towards the show being about him again, as opposed to about his companion.
Donna was the best companion and I love her a lot.

Also, I happen to have watched the End of Time and two Doctor specials in the Sarah Jane Adventures tonight. I am SO COOL.

I haven't yet seen much of Eccleston or Smith, but I am glad you didn't say Rose was the greatest companion ever because she is a) overrated and b) a total complete empty shell of a Mary Sue anyway. At least I thought so. She never interested me in any way whatsoever. At least Donna was kind of funny to watch but again I haven't seen much of the series with her.
I kind of see Smith as a goofy but less spastic version of Tennant. I also found that he can be really really sweet at times, like at the end of the Van Gogh episode during which seriously I almost cried. He isn't Tennant but I'm giving him a chance which is more than most fangirls can say.
I just ordered series 1 and 2 and they should be coming in very soon, so after I watch that I'll be able to pass better judgement on Eccleston. Next I want to see if I can get a hold of the older episodes, especially the ones with Tom Baker in them.

Rose rocks, stfu. Though honestly her season four appearance was, er, bad. Really, really bad. I wish the Doctor could have a compainion who was a little...quicker. Miss Martha Jones wasn't stupid exactly, but the 'Its bigger on the inside' comments drive me nuts. I liked Rory, until he said he'd looked into the Tardis and the theory behind it. I sat there thinking, "Oh, so the inside is like another dimension." From the first episode.....I mean isn't it obvious? You cannot fit something big inside something small without manipulation reality, therefor you have the create another dimension that bends the rules of reality in order for it to work. Its either that or the tardis position is fixed, and the 'blue box' is merely a redirected stable wormhole corridor that it directs through the timestream using its time vortex energies. And the exit happens to take the form of a blue box...
