Hex was sweating. It was running down his forehead, and into his eye’s. It was irritating and distracting. He looked carefully at the harsh, red martial landscape. He was getting close to the base where they’d taken Sly. He’d had a few close calls already, Martian soldiers who’d nearly detected his WOLVES combat VS. He’d managed to rearm it by retrofitting weapons from the other VS in his possession. He’d also managed to create a hydraulic sword for it, which was capable of extending to impale objects at several thousand PSI. He hadn’t had to use any of them yet, thankfully. For the purpose of this mission, however, the VS was disposable. He wouldn’t be able to leave with it anyways.
He thumbed the thrusters, and the VS glided through the low gravity, staying below radar level and inching closer to the base. Red lights flashed on Hex’s HUD. “Shit!” He cursed inside the confining space of the suit, swinging around. A Martian VS had found him. He activated the thrusters, propelling himself out of the VS’ firing line. A piece of martial earth collapsed below him, the victim of a concussive impact. Hex aimed his Vulcan laser cannon and fired, the pulsing weapon shredding holes in the Martian VS’ armor. He came down, extending the blade of the WOLVES VS, and impaled his target. Thinking quickly, because someone was bound to have noticed that, he transformed into his demon form, and jumped out of the VS. The low pressure and the lack of oxygen didn’t bother him in his demon form, thankfully.
He laboriously made his way to the base, and slipped inside while most of the Martian military stationed there were looking at the wreckage of the explosion. He’s been sure to set the self-destruct on his VS before he left, leaving nothing but ash behind. The inside of the base was unsurprisingly cold and uniform. The walls were steel, the floor was steel, the ceiling was steel. Hex ignored it all, though it did trouble him deeply. The last time he’d been in such a place, he’d woken up with something else’s arm attached to his body.
Security was surprisingly lax, he didn’t encounter anyone as he made his was deeper and deeper into the base. Eventually he found a computer terminal, ancient equipment though it was, he guessed they provided it for functionality, in case the PDM networking system was knocked out. He quickly hacked into the main frame, and located Sly. Ten more minutes and several close calls with armed guards found him standing in front of Sly, still encased in his icy stasis. Hex slowly walked forwards, and deactivated the field.
“Hello Sly.” He said quietly. “Fancy taking a walk away from the nice people who may want to vivisect us?” Hex said, trying to make light of the fact that they were both surrounded by a lot of mechanical, and extremely sharp, surgical tools.

Sly opened all four eyes in unison. Peeling himself from the Cryo-Chamber, he looked around the room. Several devices looked as if they were prepped to be used, and soon. One of his eyes remained on and studied Hex, <I wondered who would be the first to find me. I summed after our discussion on my ship I’d be a high priority on your list.>
Sly looked around the room and grabbed bag that was lying near by. Quickly he placed many of the gadgets and gizmos into the bag. When he finished he slung the bag over his shoulder and trotted over to the door, <Lead the way.>

Hex silently slipped out of the door, Sly right behind him. He was surprisingly silent for a blue centaur. They both crept silently through the corridors, only for Hex to stop short where he'd entered. He turned around and looked at Sly for a moment. "Hmmmm, you can't survive in the vaccume of mars can you..." He said silently. Cursing silently, he snuck down the corridor back to the known computer terminal, and hacked into the system again. He quickly located the base's hanger bays, and motioned sharply for Sly to follow him.
The hangars were a dismal place, condensation had caused the iron construction to rust, and water dripped off a lot of the iron, pooling on the floor in rust red puddles. There were a few people about, taking care of matinance on the few fighters present. Hex raised his right arm, which had suddenly turned black as night. "I learned a few tricks while I was trying to find out where you were located." He whispered to Sly, extending his index finger. The darkness gathered at the end, then shot off and pierced a man's neck, in total silence.
Hex repeated this until everyone in the room was dead. "Particals capable of forming a portal build at the end of the finger, and in an instant the unstable portal shoots off towards a stable source of energy, like the biochemical energy in a human body. Upon contact, the portals absorb all the energy in the human body, trying to manifest. But the energy isn't sufficiant, so the portals die, and the person dies." He shuddered suddenly. "I don't want to know what its like to have all your energy sucked into a different demension." He said. Hex walked over to one of the heavy Gong-Da fighters. It was a blood ugly thing, but it was large enough to hold himself and Sly. He motioned Sly inside, then took the control chair himself. (Since Sly wouldn't fit.) He glanced over the controls, then fired up the engines, and did a quick burn up into orbit. The Gong-Da's sensors informed him that he'd been detected by several infrared devices just before the Anubis appeared in front of it, and swallowed it up.
"Welcome to the Anubis." Hex said to Sly, as they both made they're way to the bridge. "Sorry for the hastey ride, but I couldn't exactly fight everyone on that base. My ship is currently stealth to within an inch of its life, so we should be all right for the moment." He said, as they arrived on the bridge. "So, I actually have something I need to speak with you about as soon as we get out of here. I came upon something interesting on my way over here from the Belt."

Sly allowed Prime to do most of the work. After being cryogenically frozen Sly could feel a slight imbalance. By the time they were in the Anubis Sly was finally starting to feel normal again, <Obviously they didn’t think to calibrate there their Cryo Device to a different life form. They froze me like they would another human.>
Without another word Sly morphed to his human form, accompanied by the sounds of bones and muscles shifting. When he was finished he ignored any normal seating arrangements and decided to go cross-legged on the floor. He grouped around in the bag of stolen human devices. Setting to work he gutted the first one and began tinkering with the wires, “So what is this interesting thing you found?”

Hex grinned, then opened a veiwscreen with a thought. The holographic field hovered in the air, displaying an asteroid. "This." Hex said, "I found it on my way over to mars, looking for you. Its an asteroid, a rather large one in fact, with high yield carbon, titainium, iron, and gold content." He said, rotating the asteroid around on the plane and showing the figures, which were really quite impressive. "And I have a plan for this thing, but I'll need your help to do it." He said. "I want to create an independent space station, free from any of the governments. Of corse, none of those governments would really want to allow this, what with the current state of affairs. Soooo, I need two things from you." Hex said, seeming somewhat apologetic. "I need to be able to equip this station with shields and shredders, as they're the only things that could stand off an attempt by the governments to take the station." He said, "Oh, and didn't you have some data you wanted to give me, before we were attacked earlier?"

Sly was splicing wires and seemed to only be half listening to what Hex was talking about. “Well I’m pretty sure I’d be breaking several laws among my people if I did something like that.” He pulled another device from the bag and began to determine how he was going to connect it to what he was currently creating. “But, I’m sure that if I convince my people that we have need to stay in this sector of space they will let a station be created as an outpost, allowing such devices to be fitted on the station. As for the information I spoke of, that will have to wait until the Tsunami had found us.”

Hex twitched. "You'll forgive me if I'm not very enthusiastic about andalites owned what is intended as a neutral station. It defeats the whole purpose of the idea." Hex said, his eye's blanked for a moment, and suddenly they were under a light, 2g acceleration. "As for the Tsunami finding us, you'll have to forgive me, but I don't want to go anywhere near your crew of stuck up premadonna's anytime soon. And besides they, they'd probably want to blow up my ship, considering I left in rather a hurry. I received quite a few messages, including some in andalite, with very choice words for my, ah, 'cowardice'." Hex said. "If you want to get back onboard the Tsunami, it'll have to wait. I can drop you off on earth, or in the belt, that'd probably be easier for you."

Sly laughed, “You asked for my help. It’s either that or I commit treason.” Sly finished with whatever it was he had been working. Several wires were sticking out but with the limited materials he wasn’t too uptight about appearance. The device was placed in his pocket and he looked back at Hex, “They really aren’t my people. I had a people once, but they were lost to me when I came to be in this dimension. I lived among the humans so long and there were those that I came to trust as brothers. Those that I would have broken any Andalite law for.”
“I was amazed to discover these Andalites, here in this dimension. But I’m smarter than them, more evolved than them. I see some hope in them, but at the same time they show a possibility for failure.” Sly tilted his head and studied the inside of the ship. It seemed that the silence stretched on forever before he finally spoke again. “When the Tsunami arrives I will inform them that I have become a Renegade. There will be some who will continue to follow me. Possibly even enough that the Tsunami we remain under my control. It is doubtful though.”

Hex looked at Sly sharpy, but didn't question him. He refocused on his ship, but quietly whispered, "Thank you." In barely audible tones, just before every alarm in his ship went of. "Oh shit!" He yelled, rushing over to the dip in the center of the bridge. "Stand in one of these and try not to panic." Hex said, "If you don't, my ships acceleration will break every bone in your body." He said apologetically. His tube enveloped him, and he lost all sense of his body, totally absorbed within his ship.
There were fighters behind them, martian interceptors of a type he hadn't seen before. At any rate, they had exellent sensors, considering they'd been able to detect the Anubis. Hex bit off a curse, and shut down the stealth, no point in hiding when he'd already been tagged. The fighters, there were three of them, each fired a suprisingly powerful energy cannon at the Anubis, which Hex quickly dodged, changing extremely of acceleration in random directions, at random velocitys, to throw off they're aim. They were surprisingly fast ships, though they had nothing on the Anubis. The problem, however, was the net of fighters in front of them. It looked like they'd been prepared for this eventuality.
These fighters are equip with some kind of heavy partical ion cannon. Most likely trying to disable us, get they're hands on you. Try to hang on to your lunch, this is going to be intense. Hex broadcast to the interior of the ship, still forgetting that he was quite capable of telepathy. He had to change angle and direction quickly to avoid the net in front of him, and suddenly, they were surrounded by scores of the odd interceptors. Hex bit off a curse, though no one heard him, submerged in the impact absorbing liquid as he was. He fired off the etheric partical cannons, punching holes through two of the ships, but any blow that wasn't direct actually reflected off the surface of the sleek ships dogging him.
They fired on Hex again, he dodged the greater part of the fire, but one of the beams nicked him, knocking out part of the etheric reflection skin, lessening his maneuverability and acceleration. They could chase him and Sly for as long as they liked now, Hex wouldn't be able to take the ship above 30 G's of acceleration, and the interceptors could likely survive that. Jesus, this looks like alien tech. Hex said over the intercom, voicing his concerned that martians may have adapted alien technoledgy from the attack a few years ago. He knew one thing, this definately wasn't good.

Sly thought it was odd that such an advanced ship capable of high speed would not have inertial dampeners but he did as he was told and stood right where he was told. It was possible that certain parts of the ship had inertial dampeners which would explain why it was safe in some areas but without schematics and prior knowledge it would be hard to tell.
Out side the Anubis, the other ships were closing in. Many of them charging up their weapons for a final assault. Most likely they would have been destroyed by the Anubis, but not before inflicting some serious damage. Fortunately a large ship, large enough for the Anubis to dock inside, appeared out of the vastness of space. Despite its size the ship moved rather gracefully into the battle. The large fin that protruded from its belly smashed into the small fighters, destroying them. The remaining ships were obliterated by a barrage of Plasma and Ionic Energy.
<Well it took them long enough. I finished building that locator 9 minutes ago.> Sly said to Hex, rather jovially, <Sorry if you were looking forward to taking them out yourself but at least now we can discuss our plans uninterrupted>
OOC- Not my best but I was in a hurry…

Hex twitched rather violently, looking sideways through the glass side of his tube at the andalite. "Did I not just finish saying I didn't want to meet up with them any time soon." Hex said, rather nervously. His sensored informed him that all the andalite ships weapons were currently locked onto his ship. He was suddenly very careful not to make any aggressive movements. With the stealth fields off, they could hit him, especially with they're advanced tracking systems. "Um, you might want to tell them not to shoot us, Sly..." Hex said slowly, looking at the charging energy weapons through the ships sensors.

<They’ll only shoot if we try to run. They’ll assume I’m a captive and you don’t want to give me up. Of course if I told them to fire they probably would, despite me being on the ship.> Sly said as though it were a funny thought. <No, they’ll scan the ship and if they detect Andalite life signs they’ll send a small vessel to retrieve me. If we’re lucky it’ll be Shejirili. I know that she’ll follow my orders even if it means becoming a renegade. I am sorry to say that they won’t ask permission to board.>
Sly looked around, <Can we get out of these tubes now?>

Whats the matter? Hex asked through the ships speakers, Don't you like breathing a liquid? He asked sarcastically. He shut the tubes down, draining the fluid and opening them, so Sly could move about. "They'd better hurry up." Hex said in his normal voice. "Compliance is not my thing, and I'm starting to get a little antsy. Not to mention I have a really big gun that they don't know about, and I'm very much prepared to use it if they so much as scratch my paint job." Hex said darkly, then looked down at his arm, which was hidden by his hoodie and leather glove. He didn't like letting it see the light of day very often. It had been...disturbing, the last time he transformed. Into whatever that thing was. He gave a little shudder, then turned back to Sly. "Right, lets get down to the docking bay." Hex said conversationally, walking out of the bridge smartly.

Sly trotted slowly behind Hex. Years ago Sly had been violently ripped from his own dimension and thrown into this one. He wondered if those people he met and befriended had felt the same way about himself as Hex now felt about the other Andalites. What Sly was about to do would change that. But it could also lead to a civil war for his people. He just hoped enough of his crew would defect with him that they could keep control of the Tsunami.
OOC- Sorry I don't know what's up with all the writers block lately...
