Hex had his laptop firmly under his arm, sitting in the bar, surrounded by rough looking traders and mercenaries for hire. He was entirely lacking in comfort, having no weapons beside his laptop. Hell, he wasn't technically old enough to have an IDM, since his brain wasn't finished developing. Hence the laptop. It may be old tech, but it was all he needed to desipher code and hack into whatever he wished to. Which was why he was sitting in this bar, with 20,000 credits in his pocket, ready to buy passage to the lunar shipyards. Hex looked around for a likely captain, but all he could see were Earth Alliance people. Assholes. They would never concent to take a minor into orbit, it was against Earth Law. To bad for them, he was looking for a Martian, or a Belter. Either way, nither would object to flying him into orbit, for a good bit of coin that is.

"Wow, a laptop," someone said over Hex's shoulder. "Haven't seen one of those out of the classroom since... well, since flights school."
Lexi was obviously amused. She downed her shot glass and set it on the bar table. She slid her card through the slot to pay for the drink. "Kid, you look like you need a ride," she offered.

Hex grinned. "Yeah, I do. How much is it gonna cost me?" He asked, trying not to be put off by the ladies charmed. 20K was 20K, and he didn't want to get screwed while he was busy staring at her tits.

"I've only had two drinks, kid, I can see where your eyes are looking," she said disdainfully. "15,000 creds to Luna. You're not getting a ride from anyone else in this bar." She smiled mockingly.

Hex dropped a smirk, wondering vaguely how she knew his destination. "15,000 credits it is then." He said, thumbing his card and transferring the cash over to hers. "Where should I board?" He asked, carefully sure that he was staring her right in the eyes.

"Follow me," Lexi said as she exited the bar. They were in a spaceport town. The entire city was centered on the port where ships carrying goods and passengers came and went. Lexi's own ship was no exception, so the two where headed in that direction.
She ignored the stares and stupid grins created by her form fitting skinsuit. Only at Earth were people not used to the way skinsuits wrapped so tightly around the body. She didn't mind, though. If she did, she would've changed before getting off her ship.
When they got to the port's lobby, Lexi inserted a parking card into the machine. She pressed a few buttons before sliding her credit card through the slot. She slipped the receipt into her utility belt before making her way back to Astraea.
"This is Astraea, my ship," Lexi said, smiling and gesturing towards the Dragonfly class transport ship. Every time she looked at Trae, she couldn't help but smile. "Trae!" she spoke into a wrist communicator. "Open up, we've got a passenger."
A blue female figure materialized in front of Lexi. "Evenin' rocksider," she said mockingly to the boy.
"Don't mind her," Lexi said. "Trae, can you get the ship ready, too?"
Astraea disappeared as the forward airlock cycled open. Lexi lead Hex through the door and up to the second level and into the cockpit. Things hummed to life and lights flashed on as Trae got the ship ready. "I don't have a co-pilot, and we're only going to Luna, so if you want you can sit in the second chair. If you want to get farther than Luna, you'll either have to wait, or get a ride from someone when we get there, because I have busines to take care of first."

Hex nodded, then seated himself in the copilots position. The controls weren't strange to him, the dragonfly class was a well used model. He refrained, however, from touching anything. It wasn't his ship to pilot, he turned to Lexi. "I'm Hex by the way, and Luna is far enough, I have buisness there of my own." He said, turning and opening his laptop. He opened a holographic uplink and used his trojan to open a comm line.
Hex: I'm coming Anubis, wait patiently, I'll be there shortly.
Anubis: Yes, I'll be waiting.
Hex: Make sure that bucket your in is warmed up, we'll have to make a swift retreat.
Anubis: Yes, subliminal systems are online and awaiting orders. We need only a captain to begin.
Hex: I'm on my way, don't shake your bolts off.
"Are we ready?" Hex asked anxiously.

"Trae?"
"Ship's ready to go, mon capitain," Trae said over the PA.
"Ground control gave the green light?"
"Aye."
Lexi eased the controls. Outside, Astraea's rotating engines turned to point downwards. The engines began firing in combustion mode; it would switch to the ion stream out of the atmosphere. The ship started shaking violently as it rose into the sky. Lexi would be using the rotating engines for the entire trip since there was no point in unfolding Trae's wings and the tail drive was too powerful for such a short trip.
"We should be there in 3 to 4 hours. Oh yeah, probably should've told you before we got off the ground to strap in."

"S'ok." Hex squeezed out, his teeth clattering. He clamped his jaw tight shut, to avoid biting his own tongue off. He waited until they have breached the atmosphere, and things rattled a little less, then opened up his laptop and started playing Pacman.

A few hours later...
"The meatbags gave us permission to land, Dock number 2," Astraea said over the PA.
"Thanks, Trae."
Lexi turned the Dragonfly towards the dock marked with a large red 2. The motors driving the rotating engines were faintly audible through the hull, dulled down many times by the audio filters. The engines themselves had died down to a dull glow, only having to slow the ship's descent in the moon's low gravity. Lexi gently let Astraea down into an opened airlock. They waited a few minutes as Trae talked with the port authorities, and after she was done, they were allowed to enter the dock.
The ship slowly quieted down as Trae handled cooling everything down.
"Take that door over there," Lexi said, pointing as she exited the craft, "to get to the main biodome. I'll leave you for now. Have a nice day, kid," she smiled.

Hex tossed her a small salute, and headed out the airlock. "Thanks." He called back, the headed out of the port. The oddly uniform streets and building gave him pause for a moment. This place wasn't really meant to be lived in, he could tell. It was just an area for people to crash between shifts. A strangle buzzing sound began to crank up in the distance, and then Hex watched in wonder as the whole glass dome changed. One minute, it was twilight, the next, bright sunlight, and everything became clearly visible. People started heading out of their homes, off to work. He saw a few hold their hands up in the air, a golden hovering pods came to their side of the street, picked them up, and buzzed off. Hex imitated the gesture, and the next second, a taci was right in front of him. He got in.
"Where to mac?!" The taxi asked in the grindingly cheerful voice. Hex twitched, resisting the urge to punch the speaker. "Dockyards please." He said hollowly, and the taxi buzzed off. "Be a little while sir, would you like to enguage in conversation for the duration of the trip?" The taxi asked. "NO!" Hex said vehemently. "Alright! Whatever you say!" The taxi responded cheerfully.

Enenth was walking around the Lunar Shipyards, looking for somewhere to buy a ship. He had been stuck here for far too long, trying to make the money to buy one. Killing for one didn’t really work these days too many very good security systems in place. He turned the corner, and found what he was looking for, a lot, full of ships for sale; he entered and walked towards the salesman.
“I’m looking for a ship, Maw Class Carrier to be exact with a crew,” Enenth said, holding up the cash, “No questions asked,” he added. The cash was more than enough to cover the cost of the ship, so the salesman nodded. Enenth entered the ship to find the crew waiting for him, saluting, Enenth scowled. “We’ll have none of that, prep the ship for launch, and get the clearance needed.” Enenth shouted, as his crew all shot off in different directions as Enenth headed to the bridge.
