The ground shook, a constant, steady, low rythm, as if something was stirring deep below the earth. Prime looked at the silver mountain in front of him, standing at the side of a lake at its base. He shifted the gauntlet around on his left arm, making sure the eight orbs therein were properly inserted. He checked that his sword was securely fastened to his back, shifting it around so it'd be easy to draw in a pinch. Another eight orbs adorned the backbone of the weapon, shimmering slowly. Prime looked back at Hayato, just behind him, his green, slightly glowing eye's piercing. "You ready?" He asked. Hayato nodded. "Alright, lets try not to get killed." He said, looking at the military base a short ways ahead of them, which was guarding the entrance to the Fortress. Following the line of the shore wouldn't be advisable, considering the clear visibility and the large plasma weapons the base mounted at its perimeter. "Lets go around." Prime mumbled, passing Hayato as he headed back to the tree line.
As Hayato followed him a short way into the forest, Prime turned around. "Hold still for a moment." He said, raising his left hand. It glowed faintly with green energy, an a layer of almost invisible shielding slowly grew around Hayato. "That should do you for a direct attack from one of those plasma cannons." Prime said, casting the same spell on himself. "But still, lets try not to get hit ok?" He grinned, turning around, drawing his sword. "No point in sneaking around at this point, CHAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!" He yelled, kicking off the ground into the tree's, and jumping from branch to branch as he made his way to the base. He could see one of the guards in the towers pointing at him. He kicked off the tree's trunk, sped forwards through free fall, and cut the plasma cannon in the tower in half. He did a half turn and kicked the soldier in the back of the head, knocking him onconcious. "YOUR TURN!" He yelled to Hayato.

OOC - So this is literally a dragon and also a fortress? Sounds delightful. I'll jump in if you'll give a bit more description of what the Fortress Dragon looks like.

OOC: The Fortress Dragon is buried below the mountain. If you want description, the dragon itself is about four kilometers in length, with a wingspan of about 6 kilometers, and the fortress on its back has the path the courtyard coming up from between its wings, through an arch just after them, a courtyard of about 600 meters in total diameter leading up to a Keep about 200 meter by 75 meters, after which is a castle in a more elegant than blockish style with a diameter of about 500 meters and 17 floors. But it's gonna be a little while before we get to it...

Hayato felt a rising feeling in his chest. His eyes widened for a second in anticipation, then narrowed in concentration as he kicked off the ground and flew, low and fast, above the grass.
A plasma cannon blasted a deep and unnatural boom. A bolt of neon blue screamed toward him, visibly distorting the air around it. He accelerated and rose into the air as the projectile exploded into the ground below him. There was a thunderous scattering of dirt and rock as the concussive force of the blast coarsed Hayato. He grunted in pain but soldiered on, thankful to have missed a direct hit.
Within seconds, he was within striking distance of the tower where the shot had originated. With practiced precision, he quickly conjured a basketball-sized ball of flame in his hand and hurled it at the guard manning the tower. The attack hit home, and the guard tumbled over the edge of the tower and to the ground below, his body ablaze.
He landed inside the now vacant tower and called to Prime in the next tower over, "Easy."
Smoke drifted into his peripheral vision now, emitting from the crater where the plasma cannon round had hit. He gestured to the gash in the earth and yelled to Prime, "I think we're about to be found out."

"Well," Prime said, looking around sharply for any new enemies. "Stealth was only the initial part of the plan anyways. From here on, lets just tear into them as we find them." He said, walking over the edge of the tower and dropping down to the ground. There were five other towers lining the complex, but they wouldn't fire inwards, and it appeared as though they couldn't locate Prime and Hayato anyways, though Prime could clearly hear some re-enforcements being sent to they're current position. He could see a maze of buildings and close allies in front of him, and he didn't want to get caught up in them, his sword was rather large, and it didn't leave him a lot of room to fight. He hurried forwards, jumping off some crates and onto the top of a nearby building. He lay flat on his back as some troops passed by below him, no need to kill when he wasn't caught. He rolled into a crouch, and jogged silently across the top of the building, staying alert for any other soldiers.
One he ascertained he was in the clear, he dropped down from the roof, and plastered himself low in the shadows against the buildings wall. He pulled a map out of his pocket, and checked the position of the entrance he was headed for. Looked like it was two buildings down, and just to the left. No doubt their would be a great deal of security, but he knew how to take care of them, he thought with a smile. He sprinted across the open space to the next building, then jogged along the alley, keeping low and close by the complex, sticking to the shadows. He could see the entrance around the corner when he stopped at the end of the building, and he could see four troopers with green, metallic armor guarding the entrance to a thick, steel door, which was cast directly into a sheer cliff against the mountainside. Prime grinned, pulling his sword from his back and plunging it into the ground. It began to glow as he chanted under his breath, and suddenly the armored troopers were fighting to free themselves as stone from the mountainside crawled up they're legs and arms, binding them. And, in another moment, they were completely still. Statues guarding a gate that was soon to disappear.
"Thats your cue Hayato." Prime muttered under his breath.

Hayato had been hovering just above the ground, darting in and out of alleyways, always keeping Prime within sight. He was just a few yards behind Prime when the gate guards were encased in rock.
His gloved hand moved over his chin for a few seconds as he contemplated a way to breach the massive steel gate. He knew they didn't have long, as the personnel in this base must've heard the plasma cannon blast a few minutes prior.
The gate was large and thick. Hayato doubted he could simply muscle through it. It was made of two seperate sections, held together in the middle by what looked like five huge clasps.
He sent a telepathic message to Prime, fairly sure that he could receive such a communication, " I'm going to melt those five locking mechanisms and try to pull the gate open. I just need you to cover my back while I'm liquifying that steel. And I may need some more muscle to swing that mass of steel open."
Without another moment's hesitation, he soared to the gate. In a glance over his shoulder he saw armored guards pointing to him and jogging nearer to him. Trusting that Prime would handle them, he set to work.
He held his hand to the heavy steel lock at the top of the gate and consumed it with dragon's fire. The white hot heat began to slowly but surely warp and melt the lock. A slight panic came over him, as he realized that speed would be a huge factor for him. He would need to liquify all five locks before any of them would cool and reharden.
Speed was also a factor because a few dozen guards were now aware of him and Prime.

Prime sagged comically, "Oh come ON man!" He whined, "This isn't a goddamn video game!" He said, drawing his sword and hefting it anxiously. Their were quite a few of them, and he wasn't feeling as good about the fight as he used to. They were just doing they're jobs, he didn't want to kill them. He heaved a deep sigh, "Ah dammit," He muttered, putting his sword away. "Alright you assholes!" He screamed at them, his arm glowing as he cast several layers of protect on himself. "Lets do this the good old fashioned way!" He dived behind some cover as they opened fire, jumped out of his roll and grabbed the edge of a roof. He quickly hauled himself onto it and took off low to the metaphorical ground as pieces of the metal structure flew away around him, the determined guards shooting at him with almost gleeful expressions. Must've been a while since they'd had some decent target practice. Prime rolled off the roof into the middle of them, and the organized fight it had been a few moments before quickly devolved into a random melee.
Soldiers around Prime were knocked off they're feet almost as quickly as they could get up, as he casually redirected attacks from shock batons and the like as they were launched, and sent the offending soldier rolling into the legs of his companions. He pulled a soldier in close, headbutted him, kicked his legs out, and punched him in the stomach. The airborn soldier was flung into his comrades, knocking them over in a tangle of limbs, curses, and general disarray. Finally, once soldiers temper broke, and he lifted his rifle and took a shot at Prime. It bounced off his protect spell and killed one of the soldiers. The friend of the newly dead soldier took note of this, and his temper snapped as well. He lobbed a frag at Prime, who cursed and dove out of the way. Another 3 seconds beheld a flash of light and metal fragments flying all around, shredding soldiers and Prime's arms alike. He slammed into the side of the building, denting the metal, and tore off his ruined shirt. His arms were bloody, but his torso was alright for the most part. All eight of the orbs in his gauntlet glowed brilliantly as he waded back into the chaos, looking for the soldiers who were likely to get up. For the moment, however, no one did.
And then, Prime sensed something like a shadow behind him. He swiveled around to face the man who'd managed to sneak up on him. It was a man, granted in high tech armor. It was close fitting grey/blue armor between the joints, and a navy blue at the hands, four arms, waist, torso, thighs, calves, and feet. He also wore a navy blue helmet, lacking the traditional visor, on his head. At his waist was a strange block of white metal, about 3 and 1/2 feet long, and 3/4ths of a foot wide. He patted it fondly as he looked at Prime, then removed his helmet. "My name is Ethan Orb." He said, extending his hand. Prime shook it cautiously. "Thank you for not killing my men stranger." He said, only honesty reflected from his gray eye's. "However, I really cannot allow you to move any further. That beast cannot be unleashed." He said, stepping back and putting his helmet back on. He reached down for the rectangular block on his waist, and now that he looked, Prime could see five buttons on it. Ethan hit the first button twice, and the block split in half, shifting its shapes and inclination to form a pair of white pistols, each with a substance blade lining the button just after the trigger.
"Uh oh," Prime said, drawing his sword just as Ethan fired. Several rounds of plasma bolts hammered Primes wide sword, slamming him back against the side of the building and slowly creating a much larger dent in the steel. "HAYATO!" Prime screamed, rolling out of the path of the projectiles. "I COULD USE SOME HELP HERE!" He yelled, as Ethan took aim again. The man moved unnaturally fast, leading on Prime even at the speeds that Prime's enhanced body could move. Ethan blew a hole out right in front of Primes foot, and Prime stepped right into it. He planted his sword at the edge of the hole and lifted himself out quickly, rolling across the dirt to avoid the hail of fire that pierced the opening in his defense. "Damn your not a normal soldier!" Prime panted, he was already breathing heavily. At this rate, he probably wouldn't last. "Hayato!" He called, "Get the door open. One of these guys we can handle, but god help us-" He rolled to the side as a charged energy blast blew a hole the size of his body in the ground. He ducked behind one of the steel buildings walls, and moved as a shadow up to the roof. "If theirs two of them!" He finished calling, then dropped down to the ground as a plasma blast blew out a meter of the roof, where he'd been sitting a moment before.
"Oh this is gonna be a long day." Prime muttered, carefully examining the wounds in his arms and torso. "Ah shit these hurt. Seriously, who'd stupid enough to throw a grenade in a melee?" He cursed, sneaking around the structure. Hopefully he'd be able to get Ethan from behind before the man could ambush Hayato.
