"Oh your finally waking up?" Cloud said to Dave. "You've been out for a few days you know. Oh, and sorry about the water buckets." He said, in refference to the fact that Dave's hands were submerged in two large buckets of watch on either side of his bed. "Your hands were burning holes in your bed, so I had to do something... And this way, I can get a nice sauna upstairs." He said, pointing to the top of the cave, where a small hole was allowing some of the steam to vent, both otherwise trapping the steam against a small ridge. "Anyways, when your up and about again, we need to train. That demonic man, Jake, he's to powerful for us. He took me out in an instant to." He said.

“What the hell happ- Argh,” Dave screamed, his whole body had just gained an aura burning the bed in an instant, making Dave fall to the floor, now covered in ash too. He just lay there, the buckets had been knocked over, and now he was soaked too. “What a nice way to wake up,” he smiled, being totally sarcastic. He got to his feet, his aura shining, throwing his hair about like he was outside on a windy day.
“Off.” Dave commanded, and the aura vanished. “Wow surprised that worked,” Dave murmured looking at Cloud. “Where are we off too?” He asked.

"Whoa, can you say 'on' to?" Cloud said sarcastically. "For the moment I think training would be a good idea. What I had in mind is this." He said seriously. "We can both arrange training for eachother based on our abilities. Then, we put eachother through the training, with the other as a spotter, assuring that we don't fuck up and end up dead, you dig?" He asked.

“Er, well okay.” Dave agreed, “But what am I gonna do about these,” Dave asked, holding up his fists, still ignited, if it weren’t so serious it would have been cool. “You wanna go first or shall I?”

"Your first." Cloud said. "Put this on." He said, passing him what looked like a haphazard set of stone armor. "Its to increase your strength and endurance. Don't worry about the weight, its only 200 pounds." He said. "And your hands...well. I can get my hands on a pair of titainium gauntlets, or tungstin. Either way it'll contain the flame, those elements are extremely heat resistant." Cloud said, "But visiting a talented smith may be a better idea in the long run." He helped Dave into the suit, then dragged him outside to take a look at the landscape. They were at the top of a cliff face, mountain behind them, and a large lake about 2 miles away at the base of the cliff. "Now the idea is to vaporize the lake with your energy attack. It'll take a long time, enough time that your strength and endurance will increase from the weight of the armor naturall." He said. "You'd better get started before you pass out."

Dave nodded, it seemed Cloud was trying to kill him; the rock armour was damn heavy. Dave stretched out his arms, palms facing towards the lake, and concentrated. A small orb of energy appeared in between his palm slowly gathering heat and started to grow.
Dave fired it off, and it covered the two mile gap in seconds, smashing into the water, creating a small tsunami, he held it slowly pushing more of his power into, concentrating as hard as he could, he beam grew once more, sending another wave of power into the lake, making it explode. Beads of sweat started to run down his face, the beam flickered, but Dave held on again, throwing another wave of power through, a bad idea it seemed, as the beam flickered and died, as Dave smashed into the ground unconscious.

"Ouch." Cloud said, "Gotta hurt. Guess this is going to take a while." He picked up Dave and took him back into the cave, removing the armor and lying him back in bed. "Sorry mate, but its the water buckets for you." He said, putting Daves hands back into the water. He fed him some pre-prepared soup, put a town on his head, and settled back into his rickety pine chair to wait. "Note to self, get solid food in him next time he wakes up." Cloud muttered.
