Prime raised his demonic eye's, looking out at the world before him. Some time ago, through some strange twist of fate, he'd become and adept. And shortly there-after his best friend, Aurora, and his best friends lover, Holly, had been killed. He didn't know why, or how, nor had he witnessed it himself, though he wished he could've held his best friend one last time, before he'd passed on into the abyss.
For the moment, however, Prime stood resolutely in front of a gate. It was but one of many, and through those gates both angels and demons flooded into the Prime Material Plane. Forces from above and below streamed through the portal, seeking to claim earth as their own. Currently, Prime stood in front of a demon portal, and his already crimson colored blade was sharply accented with the dark, foul blood of demons.
Prime's powers lashed out wildly, electrifying, frying, freezing, consuming everything around him. But he didn't stand uncontested, through the portals streamed leagons of demons, some of unimagenable powers. His spirit was tested, time and again, as they dove into his spirit and tried to take command of his body. But, relentlessly, he fought them off. And his blade took more and more until he was forced to incinerated the bodys around him, so as to reach his enemies.
Prime howled as he cut down another enemy, then side stepped to avoid a lung, and beheaded yet another demon. His odd armor and incredable sword were more than a match for the demon's cloaks of power, but he held no hope for the human race, he was one, and the demon's were many. And worse, angels to, walked the earth. A ball of fire was hurled at him, but he swatted it aside contemptuously, not even bothered by its pitiful heat. Being an adept, he was far more in control of the elements around him. Only thing outside of the elements could hurt him now, steel and telekinesis, and the powers of the mind.
He lashed out, cleaving a demon's skull, then ripped out his blade to parry a sneak attack by a lesser demon. He chopped of its arm, then brought his sword around backwards, and stabbed it through the chest. Ripping the sword out, he cut a demon in half, even as it raised its clawed hands to kill him.
"COME ON!" Prime yelled, grieving inwardly for his friend, howling with rage on the exterior, a killing mechine lost its consiounce. "COME TO ME YOU BASTARDS! I'LL SEND YOU ALL BACK TO HELL!!!" And the demons came, in endless numbers, until ash filled the sky and clouded his vision. His lungs ached from dealing with the dust and ash. But he stood, and he would not fall. Not until his friend came back to him.
Not until the end of time.
