Lugonn fingered the large, red gem around his neck. It was called, the Paragon, and through it, those of endowed blood could use the craft. It had thirty two facets, each representing a certain piece of the craft. With it, Lugonn was finally free. Thought anyone who practiced The Craft could use the gem at any time, Lugonn could syphon off its energy by proxy to fuel more powerful spells, spells he couldn't perform otherwise due to the low quality of his endowed blood. He shifted his footing, keeping his balance on the deck of his massive ship. The entire ship was made out of silver, the planks that would normally have been wood were also silver, and rivited to eachother instead of nailed. The whole ship was selectivily magnitised, so the greatest forces could batter the silver, and it would always return to its origional shape, pulled into line by the magnetic field the silver generated.
His ship, which he dubbed Loyal Stormchaser, was exactly what the name made it out to be. The ship had no sails, though it did have 5 massive spars. And the massive ship had been designed to enter storms of the greatest fury, and use them to travel, slinging themselves around in the wind, attaining great speeds. Because of the Paragon, Lugonn no longer had to rely on a crew, or even cloth sails. The azure force of his magic conjured sails, which caught the wind and moved the ship ever onwards. Though he'd never admit to himself what he was escaping. Though it was in plain sight.
Several knots behind him, the Stormships chased him. They were larger than Lugonn's Loyal Stormchaser, and thus slower. But the never relented, hounding him and the stolen Paragon around his neck. The three ships of the royal navy were relentless, and determined to retreave the paragon, the king's son, and the prototype ship now dubbed Loyal Stormchaser. Several users of the craft were on those ships, and unless Lugonn wanted to sink the ships, they would soon overcome him. All he could do was sail onwards and pray, if the weather changed, if a storm flew up, they'd never be able to catch him. The Loyal Stormchaser could sail the very laylines of the earth itself, if the need was great enough. And in Lugonns mind, the need was very great indeed.
