Darian was nearly dancing, he'd been waiting in anticipation for the last two weeks for The World to come out. With its world first cyberlink interface, it was the total immersive other world experience. He'd labored customizing the look of his character, a Blademaster going by the name of Azura. His armor style was heavy, with silver being the dominant color, highlighted with sky blue lining and a sky blue cloth belt. For his started weapon, he'd chosen Promise. A Water based longsword with a straight double edged blade, it had a blue flair of cloth connected to the end of the handle.
He put on his computer goggles, and initiated the cyberlink interface, lying back on his bed so he wouldn't fall out of his chair or something while he was logged into The World. He spoke his password in his mind, and he was automatically logged into The World. He popped into existence in a barren town, filled with oddities not like what he'd been expecting from screen shots. "Somethings wrong." He said, looking around. The server at the edge of his vision read this place as the Net Slums. "Where is Mac Anu?" He said, and tried to log out, only to find that he couldn't. "Oh hell..." He said quietly.

Sara just got home from the store carrying a rather large bag. Contained inside this bag was the new game, a completely different experience than any other game on the face of the earth. "This is going to be so cool," she whispered to herself, "a game where I can be who I want to be, and anything I wanna be!"
Sara happily trotted up the stairs of her parents home and entered her bedroom. Posters of "The Worlds" anticipated release and newspaper clipping covered the walls of her room. Sitting down on her bed she gave a sigh of relief, "I'm so glad I got thi--" she was interrupted by an intruding knock. "Go away George!" she screamed.
Sara carefully opened the bag and pulled out a headset used to "log in" to the world, she pulled the cord out and plugged it in to her PC. She put on the headset and boot up screen started to create a character, "Hmm... I want this one," she said choosing the heavy blade character. "What a nice outfit!" she said.
Her characters name is Colixtal. Colixtal wore a small red battle skirt/fauld with a large white skull embroidered on the rear. She had a protective armour breast plate, which seemed to reach out from behind and hold her bosoms up showing a considerable amount of cleavage. The breast plate was red base color, with a golden lining, the claws of the breast plate were a thick black and carefully placed themselves on the skin. Her foot wear was rather strange, going almost up to her skirt edge, just barely missing and showing a band of skin, they had long spider design, going down either edge, the design white, and the boots black.
"Colixtal is in the house!" Sara said in a digitized voice as she entered The World.
Server: Mac Anu
ERROR!!
"What!" Colixtal said. She landed roughly on the ground "Ow, this isn't Mac Anu, where am I?" Glancing at her server she realized she was in the slums. "This is no place for me!"
Log out Error.
"Shit." She cursed.

"Can't log out huh?" Azura asked, as the heavily kitted woman landed close by. "Me either, I have no idea what's going on here, but I didn't know it was possible to force someone to stay logged in." He draw his longsword, examining the blade. "I was expecting this to be realistic, but not so much that we become trapped inside another world." He rubbed his finger along the blade, "Where we can't even be sure whats real!" He cursed, a floating violet arrow appeared in the air, pointing at a wall.
A shining line of light split the wall, then slowly opened, like a doorway. Azura looked at it skeptically, then at Colixtal. "I guess we go that way, its not like we have any other choice eh?"
He moved forwards, stepping through the white portal. He had to admit he was curious as to what was happening, and where they were being lead. Maybe it was just a normal part of the game? He blinked as he emerged on the other side. There were six weapons, each one with an odd, other worldly appearance. One for each of the six classes. The arrow pointed him towards the sword for his class.
"What this then?" He asked, and got an answer. "Cursing and Blessing, Twilight in hand, Answers to questions, a curse of Fortune and Fate." A young womans voice said. "You are the first of this world, will you make the same mistakes?" He looked around, but he couldn't find her. "You're own bright aura will lead you forwards, will others follow, or be lost in darkness." The sword picked itself from the ground, and floated over to Azura.
He looked at it carefully. It was a thick, two handed lonsword, with a raised white blade and an azure edge. The blood grove was deep and very wide, extending all the way to the end to bisect the tip. And it wasn't a gradual grove, it was deep and sudden. An azure crystal could be seen making up the core of the blade within. The handle was wrapped in white cloth that trailed from it, like some sort of dream that you couldn't grasp upon waking.
The guard was a cross type, though strangely shaped, like tens of gold bars stacked in random sequence against each other. The pommel was bell shaped and golden, with four small runes written around it. Slowly, Azura reached out and took the sword into his hands. Light and feeling burst up his arm, a sudden unrecognizable sensation. His armor re-highlighted itself to bright white, with azure trimming, and a white cloak with an azure longsword printed on it wrapped itself around his neck and upper armor.
The sword at his waist vaporized, replaced by this odd new sword as he sheathed it. It's name read a Twilight Promise. He smiled, he liked the sound of that. He looked around to see what had become of the other player, whether she'd follow him or not.

Colixtal astonished by the giant arrow followed it instinctively. She appeared in the same room just as Azura did and examined the weapons in front her. "Wow..." she said her mouth agape. "Amazing," a giant arrow pointed to a LARGE blade, almost a Zanbatou, but was classified as a heavy blade. Needless to say, the sword was large! It had two different types of blades, one seemed to be serrated, or toothed. Each tooth was a golden spike, the other side sharpened to cut straight through a strong tree trunk if swung with enough force. The most redeeming feature though was, the blade was a pure black, with a deep crescent groove at the tip.
Her appearance changed as well, not at all dissimilar from her original design. She had three white markings that went horizontally on each cheek, and a large bow tie fitted itself on her skirt. Her outfit switched to a black and white color scheme, the white taking over, and the lining of the clothes being black. Her breast plate though, seemed to become a little less demonic and bit more angelic, but still looks as if something is coming from behind her back and gently lifting her bosoms.
"I guess that is my sword, and my new clothes... better than what I expected" Colixtal stammered surprised by the weapon, and the new outfit she acquired. The weapon shot in the air, and landed in front of her, setting itself in the ground. She placed her hand on the handle of the sword and lifted it with ease. she swung it around a bit, using inertia to guide her blade. "Nice!" she said excitedly, sheathing the sword on her back. "Whats the name again," she said checking her status, "Hmm... its called Faust. I like that name don't you Azura?"

OOC: I'll be in this pretty soon, and I know who my character(s) will be. I just need to decide some key details, and then I'll be good to go.

Azura shrugged, "I think I've heard that name somewhere before, but I don't have a real like or dislike of it." He fingered his sheathed sword, and walked slowly around the edge of the area. It was a desolate place, ruins were all around the raised platform they were on. Some distance below them, however, he could see a gate that meant exit. "Oy I found the exit. Lets head back to the Net Slums, and then transfer over to Mac Anu. There must be a way to get around from there." He said, wondering how they'd get down. As he wondered, his cloak twisted and deformed, suddenly stretching out to either side to form a pair of azure wings.
With an overall 12 foot wingspan, it made sense that they could support a human. Though in a video game, he supposed they could defy physics entirely if they chose to. He turned to Colixtal, "You want me to carry you down, or do you think you can find a way on your own?" He asked politely.

Colixtal smiled at the genorous offere given to her by Azura "No, thankyou... I have another idea." Colixtal shot a determined look at the cliff. Pulling out her sword she examined the width and the length of it, "Hmm..." she said pondering to herself. Backing up to a reasonable distance she ran forward, the jumped up and followed into some cart wheels until coming to the edge of the cliff which she back hand springed over the edge. She spinned in the air like a human ball and whipped out her sword planting her feet on the blade.
"I would rather air glide!" She said circling around somewhat "gliding" downward to the net slums.

Azura looked at Colixtal dubiously as she glided through the air on top of her giant sword. "I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, none of this makes a lick of sense." He muttered, awkwardly snapping his wings open. His control over them was oddly instinctual, even intuitive, but he had no idea what it'd feel like once he got in the air. "One step is the answer," He said mournfully, taking the one step between him and open air.
He fell for a few feet before his wings caught the air, their resistance combined with his inertia pulling him forward and his legs straight out behind him. He felt oddly as though he was in a glider. He experimentally twisted and turned his wings, eventually gliding down in a collapsing spiral pattern. His boots hit the ground with a heavy thump as his legs absorbed the impact. It hurt his knee's, and also his teeth. "Ouch..." He cursed, "Gonna have to work on that." His wings transformed back into the white cloak, settling comfortably around his shoulders.
He looked over his status, to see if there were any more surprises, but he couldn't find any. "Well. I'm level one, you're level one. Our stats are what they're suppost to be." He shrugged, "I guess we were only really brought here for these weapons." He checked their status and special effects. Twilight Promise was certainly not a level one weapon, and it had two effects. One he recognized, the other he certainly didn't. The first on the list was plus five to physical per level, on top of its base forty, every time he leveled up it would increase by five.
The second on the list was even odder, and he had no concept with which to understand its effect without demonstration. It simply read, Data Drain. It carried four skills instead of the usual two. GiZan Slash, GiZan Crash, GiZan Spiral, Data Drain. It was an odd, light based weapon. He knew from beta guides that Blademasters didn't have access to light based skills. "Odd, well. Lets go back to the Net Slums." He said to his companion, and he touched the gate. Blue rings of light surrounded him, and teleported him to the Net Slums.
He arrive at the Net Slums gate, and turned to look at it curiously. He sent a shortmail to Colixtal that he was heading the Mac Anu, then touched the gate, and selected the Mac Anu root server. Blue rings surrounded him once more, and he teleported out of the Net Slums.
He looked around at the sprawling city built on water. Stone and tiles, it had a strange kind of beauty to it. An odd feeling, like if you traveled back to your homeland and walked into your families old lands. Somehow warm and familiar, and a little overwhelming. The server setting currently had it bathed in the twilight of morning. Azura smiled, "Now this is more like it."

"You know, this is quite different from the beta. No fuzzy feeling sensory data." A female voice said, seemingly not caring who heard her talking. "Though the names being filtered in the finalized public edition kinda sucks." The girl appeared from around a corner, a blue staff with a silvery ribbon wound around it slung over her shoulder. She was rather tall and extremely buxom, her outfit composed of a tunic, slacks, and sandals. Her top was checkered in black and white to the midriff, and then was pure white down to her midnight slacks. Her clothes clung tightly to her curves, emphasizing them, but showing very little skin.
"So what? It's not like y'd need a name with a cuss word in it. You're not thirteen." A male voice, jaunty and informal came from where she had been a moment earlier.
"It's a CHESS TERM." She huffed, putting her hands on her hips and turning to her companion.
"Oh well. Shoulda gone with Checkmate, or Rook, then." The source of one side to the argument stomped his way around the corner. Not so much due to anger, but due to sheer size. He appeared to be almost twice the height of an average person, his skin looking almost as if it were made of stone, not a single hair on his head. Contributing to the statuelike appearance, his armor looked almost as if it were set directly into his massive bulging frame, red glows fringing each piece of armor. The girl went to say something to him, only to be hushed by a hand the size of a frying pan raised peacefully.
"Seems that there's some newbies here." The statue said, looking down at Azura with eyes that looked like garnet spheres. He smiled, crimson light pouring out past his silvery teeth. "Level one, huh?" He paused, and then continued. "We're not much better off. I'm still below five, as is my friend here. These are just special skins we got for helping with the early testing."
"Mm. The name's Zug." The girl said with a bow, her pinwheel striped locks of white and block falling over her eyes.
"And I'm Geph." The giant rumbled, reaching down a colossal paw as if to shake Azura's hand. "Pleased to meet you."

"I'm Azura." He said, politely shaking Gephs hand. "Here's my friend card." He said, transferring it to Geph, and everyone else present while he was at it. "It's good to meet all of you." He said, nodding cordially. "As for the filter, you might try the chat options sub-tab under game options, and just turn the filter off." He shrugged, "This is an adult rated game after all."
He shrugged his shoulders around in his armor, which he noticed was surprisingly comfortable. "We don't really know why or how we got these non-standard colors and outfits. I don't remember a cloak being part of the selection in the character creation screen." He scratched his head, mussing up his sky blue hair. It had uneven length and went down just past his ears. It was extremely messy, but somehow didn't obscure his view.
Slowly, he looked around town. "Oh hell, its already started." He saw several questioning looks, so he gestured to one of Mac Anu's town squares in the distance. Several people were already going at it with each other. "I guess they haven't properly installed PK restrictions in the towns. I guess what wasn't an issue in the beta." He muttered, scratching his chin thoughtfully. "So what do you guys wanna do, visit an area, or go brawling?" He asked mischivously.

Blue rings caused Colixtal to appear directly in front of Azura, her massive blade secured on her back. "Hey Azura!" she said smiling, not noticing the people behind her. She turned around to notice the two new companions that Azura had just met.
"Friends of yours?" She asked quizzically, "Lets make a party! Or spar...., can you even spar on this game?" With out notice she sent both Geph and Zug her member card, and sent her request to them. "I suppose its up to Azura what we do right?"

"Eh, I tried that for a bit, but after a few people asked who Zug was and why I was named after his wang, I gave up." Zug sighed slightly. "So, really my gripe was totally pointless, but then again, it's fun to complain."
"And pointless, too. Sometimes I think she just likes to hear her own voice." Geth rumbled.
"As for the discrepancies to normal, I've heard that few copies each run get tweaks that make them run differently. You know, diversifying play experiences, and encouraging buying multiple games for those that can afford it. Standard business. So you two probably just lucked out and got those. That's what my money is on." Zug responded thoughtfully, sending her own card along to the duo. Geph silently did likewise, mulling over a decision.
"Honestly, I think it's a better choice to go into an area and do some grinding. The noobs might be fun to kill, but you never know if you'll beget a grudge against you in the process, and for minimal XP and rewards. Besides, all of us have superior gear to them, as far as I can tell. The areas, on the other hand, may offer improvements of some kind." Geph muttered, thinking as he went.

"You have a point." Azura said, inviting them all to his party. "Though I don't know if I can get better than this." He muttered under his breath, his hand on his sword hilt. "Grinding, I guess the quest shop wouldn't be open right anyways, its game launch after all." He walked over to the Chaos Gate, and a screen popped up in his view. "I'll just randomize the keywords here then, and we'll deal with whatever it is when we pop out."
He thought for a moment, running several keywords through his head that he'd picked up from Beta hint sites and a few forums. In the end, he put in "Grand Eternal Heavens Door" the last two actually counting as a key phrase. It generated the level, and displayed the info. A level 8 area with light based creatures, good equip drops and experience no doubt.
He read the rest of the area info, but couldn't find anything about the dungeon, save for that it was there. The area was sunny, covered in green grass and low hills. "This looks pretty good, you guys coming?" Azura asked, as he activated the chaos gate and blue rings teleported him to a clear blue sky and gentle, sloping fields. He could see snowcapped mountains in the distance, honeydew flowers mingled with the grass in small patches.
It created a nice, fregrant aroma. Azura took a deep breath, savoring the detail. "Don't miss a beat do they?" He said, reffering to the games designers. He looked around for the others, he could see monsters in the distance as he did so. Hulky white giants with gold rings floating above their backs, and small wolf like beasts dangling chain from their necks. "No goblins, hmmm." He shrugged. "Where are you guys!" He called.

Colixtal nodded walking toward the chaos gate "Oi, Zug, Geth we should go now =]," she said through a subtle text to their e-mails. She arrived in Grand Eternal Heavens Door, and noticed the amazing view, and the wondrous fragrance in the air. "Wow," she proclaimed running her hand through the grass, "So... real." Smiling ear to ear, "This. is. amazing!"
Colixtal ran up next to Sero, "I can't wait to try out the battle system on the game! With great graphics and the complete impressiveness of this game... I wouldn't be surprised if the battle system wouldn't be just as fluid."

"So you'd think." Zug said playfully, twirling her staff over her head with her free hand. "It's really quite well done. Responsive enough that it responds to your reflexes and strength, but yet, at the same time, with a feedback system that allows you to comprehend the enhanced state your body is in." She smirked slightly. "In a rare inversion, I've heard that this has sent the big budget military scurrying to revise THEIR technology. Kinda sad, huh?"
"Indeed. But if the world can be improved, and humanity furthered by somebody just out to have fun, it's the best way things can go." Geph said smugly, stepping up behind them with a heavy step. His stony face was very hard to read, and it was absolutely unclear where he was looking.
"Looks VERY different since we tested it. I was hoping that we could be able to predict how the enemies would act, but they've apparently at least re-skinned them, maybe even tweaked their AI." Geph said bleakly, and gestured. His right palm began to glow, a bar of light sliding out. He took hold of it with his left hand, and pulled, drawing what appeared to be a luminous staff. He grunted, tossing it to his right hand. The glow dispersed, leaving him holding something that looked like a knobby silver rod.
"And attach!" Geph growled, two large pieces of metal that had previously accentuated his shoulders floating clear of his body and snapping to the end of his weapon. To wicked, curved blades, each the length of a normal man's arm, shone in the light. He hefted the weapon, getting used to its balance and shape.
"I'm still a little new to this one. Used a one-sided axe in the beta, which is a different style of play." He brought the blunt end of the axe down, the ground shaking slightly with the impact.
"I kept my weapons and settings as close to before as possible. I'm close to calibrated ideally for my level." Zug said, scratching as if at an itch on the side of her face. "Stupid gear... Oy..."

Azura's odd sword ripped through the low level monsters like wet paper. He frowned, concerned. The immersion level was awesome, but his weapon seemed to be overkill. He suddenly had the feeling that its stats weren't something that showed up in the base game. He quickly had a desire to conciel its existence. He looked slowly around at his companions, dodged a monster, and finished it off with a messy slash of his sword. He still wasn't used to a swords weight, so his swing was off, despite his enduring strength in The World.
"Sorry to bother you guys, but would you have an extra level one sword, for a blademaster?" He asked casually. "This one is sort of ruining the experience." He said, as it faded out of existence. He'd just de-equipped it. He looked around, and waited. It looked like the others were just mopping up their opponents.

Colixtal stopped her onslaught of terror against the fiends that they were facing. "Seriously, these weapons are nothing but pure destruction, I wouldn't doubt that we could take out the strongest opponents..." Looking back at Sero, "We may be able to find something down in the dungeon, usually they have treasure chests filled with armor and weapons, we just have to hold on to these until we can find something that will heighten the experience a little, no?"

"I've got nothing." Geph admitted, pulling his axe back through a creature that had been impaled on it. A spurt of ichor hit his impassive face. "Zug stocks all the gear we get..."
"Actually, I'm set to auto-sell." Zug said, slamming her stave into the lower jaw of a beast and causing it to slump weakly to the ground. "I'm already in the top fifty players worldwide for money."
"Fat lot of good that does us here." Geph grunted, cleaving through an approaching enemy with a mighty swing.
"Besides, who would have thought we'd meet players wanting to GIMP themselves at level one?" Zug said, smirking. No enemies were close enough for her to draw aggro, so she could afford to lack caution and let her guard down for a moment.
"Takes all sorts." Geph replied, grabbing another foe and choking it for a moment before crushing its neck with the handle of his axe. "Really, we're pretty well above the standard for this area, too. The dungeon is starting to sound really good."

"I'm not trying to gimp myself, I'm trying to balance myself." Azura muttered uncomfortably. He looked at the blade again, than shrugged. "Well, at least my defense isn't perfect." He muttered, then looked around at the others. "I guess the dungeons it is." He said, before turning quickly around and taking off at a light jog.
The dungeon looked a lot more ominous than the area it was placed in. A giant onyx castle, with a flat polish. Barely any light reflected off of it, and the gates looked like the jaws of the damned. Huge onyx spikes formed the portal, though they were hardly a barrier to entry.
"Right..." Azura said slowly, moving in between a pair of the giant spikes. Before his very eye's, the castle began to glow. The onyx went from a dull black to a nearly self immolating white. "I guess whatever is inside here is awake." Azura said, grinning.
"Must be challenging if it lights up a whole castle, you guys coming?" He called to his companions, who seemed to be lagging behind a bit. "This looks like fun!"
