OOC: Ok, this is a reboot! You can either completely rewrite your previous post or copy & paste it (if it still works and fits). Also I have fixed the issues with time where Sly and everyone are at and the time where Rick and them are.

“Entry saved,” the electronic voice chimed.
Sly leaned back and looked over his work thus far. His currently human form was unkempt and had bags under its eyes. Nonetheless, he smiled at his discoveries so far.
“Sly?” it was Merlin’s voice.
Sly looked back over his should but saw no sign of his friend, “Merlin? Where are you?”
“I’m in the kitchen.”
“Why are you using the intercom? I installed holo-screens all over the house for a reason.”
“Because,” Merlin answered, “It’s weird…”
“It took me days to wire the house and lab so everyone could communicate easier between rooms. I’m not going to respond until you use it.”
“Don’t be childish Sly.”
The andalite looked down at his human nails and noted how dirty they were.
“Sly?” Merlin sighed, “Fine then.”
A light appeared in the air a few feet away from Sly. It pulsed for a moment before exploding outward forming a holographic projection of Merlin’s head, a scowling expression on his face.
“Happy?” he asked.
“Yes, now what was it you wanted?”
“Well,” Merlin began, “I was gong to ask where you had been all morning, but based on your hologram I should probably ask where you’ve been all night.”
Sly chuckled, “Here most of the time, except for a few forays out to check on samples. I just got back from the last trip and still haven’t demorphed.”
“Samples of what?”
“If I am reading my findings correct then I have successfully combined broccoli and tree moss into a genetically superior and edible plant”
The expression on Merlin’s face did not jump to excited surprised as Sly had predicted it would. Instead, if anything, the holograms scowl deepened.
“You stayed up all night because you were growing moss?”
“Moscoli,” Sly corrected.
“OK, I can’t talk to you anymore. Jonas?!”
Merlin disappeared and a moment later Jonas appeared in the hologram.
“’Ello Sly.” He said slightly confused.
“Hello Jonas,” Sly said somewhat amused.
“Did the Moscoli taste good?” Jonas’s head suddenly jerked and looked to the left as though someone had yelled at him.
“Well I wanted ta know!” Jonas said loudly, “Why don’t ya jus’ tell ‘em den?”
Merlin’s face appeared once again, “Listen Sly, it’s almost noon. You are obviously going to need to get some sleep before we go tonight. Plus you told everyone you invited you were gonna fix them supper before we left.”
“I suppose you’re right.” Sly typed a few commands into the computer. He made sure to save all his research and findings again just in case.
“Why ya usin’ da keyboard Sly?” Jonas asked as Merlin left the hologram again, “Did ya break dat nifty Pyscho Device ya showed me?”
“No, the Psychic Interface is fine. I just find that sometimes its more exciting when I do things the old fashion way. That and I get odd feedback anytime I used thought-speak as a human.”
“Ah, well get some sleep. Ya look beat.” Jonas waved as the hologram disappeared.
Sly smiled and got up. He stepped over one of the small cleaning droids as he was leaving.
“Thank you,” the droid said, something it wasn’t programmed to do.
Sly stopped and turned around, but the there was no sign of the droid. He shook his head and rubbed his sleepy eyes before walking up stairs.

Rick yawned as he rolled out of bed; his shaggy blue hair fell about his face. Stretching he stood up and scratched his stomach absentmindedly. He kicked his underwear out of the way as he crossed over to the window and pulled back the curtains.
“Rick…” Mia pouted sleepily as she pulled the covers over her head.
The mage smiled and leaned out the window. Sun light was just starting to peak through the trees and glisten as it skipped over the stone that composed Shin-Ra. At the edge of market district, the main site of the festival today, was a large area of cleared jungle where hundreds of tents sat - nearly all of them filled with the people who had arrived early for the Mage Festival, the first in hundreds of years. As he understood, the festival had always been in place to show peaceful intentions to the non-magic folk of the world and other non-human races. It made him happy to know that they were trying hard to reconnect with the world they had cut themselves off from long ago.
Rick had been skeptical at first when Mia approached him saying she wanted to make a commercial to advertise the festival. For a month, it played every other day on the major networks and, four days ago when the Silver Mages opened up their portal centers at locations all over the world, it paid off. Thousands of people had already flocked to attend, ranging from the magical to the mundane and some who didn’t fit in either category.
“You should probably wake up,” Rick said as he sat back down on the bed.
“Why can’t you just sleep like a normal person?” Mia muttered from underneath the covers.
“Cause I am not a normal person.” He pulled the covers off her.
She shrieked and used her pillow to cover herself. Rick laughed.
“Jerk,” she said snatching the covers back and wrapped it around herself, “Would you stop doing that every morning?”
“Maybe you should start wearing clothes to bed.”
“Well,” Mia’s face flushed red, “I was to begin with.”
Rick kissed her on the forehead and smiled, “I’ll go wake up Valon and then I will fix breakfast. That should give you thirty or forty more minutes of sleep. But then you have to get up and get ready cause it’s a little over too hours till we have to join the other council members for the starting ceremony.”
She laughed as she laid down, “Better put some pants on before you head out there.”
Rick rummaged through a pile of clothes and found a clean pair of sweat pants with flames sewn into the legs. He slipped them on and walked out of the room, making sure to shut the door behind him. Valon’s room was just down the hall with a draken standing guard.
“Hey big guy,” Rick greeted him, “Is the King awake?”
The draken nodded and let Rick pass. He knocked a few times, “Hey Valon, can I come in?”
