OOC- Please resist doing a whole 'my character kills ALL of the poachers, then rescues the damsel' ordeal...please. I'd prefer to uphold my own strong-title. Arigato^^
BIC- The glade was tense with hostility, the dense surrounding forest blocked out most of the light. Thick boughs stretched as far as possible, obscuring even the beams of sunlight that attempted to pass through the treeless area of land. Thick, spongy grass cushioned the ground aside from the places where two large stakes where buried a couple of feet into the ground. The loam churned up by the wooden poles was rich and dark; all small details that went unnoticed by the glade's occupants.
Keirin, dressed in her usual outfit for summer, tested her bonds again. Yet the poachers who had caught her off guard had went to ridiculous lengths to assure that she was immobile. A few yards of taut rope pinned her hands to her sides, as well as her legs and feet. The whole mass was leashed to the previously mentioned stakes.
Beside her, Orwin snorted disdainfully. His silky fur faded from a shimmering gold to crimson red. None of his Elements were working, not was he able to Channel. As he resumed his flawless white pelt, his reprimanding-yet-frightened voice called out to her.
“You had to go and pick the whimsy branch didn't you?”
“It would've held up if you hadn't gone and tried to come after me and snapped the bough!” Kei snapped back, making the wolf's ears flatten in embarrassment.
The hunter, a Fae poacher in specific, stationed to watch the self-appointed ranger gave an annoyed grunt, and slouched against a dogwood trunk. His gun sat uselessly at his side, and within minutes he was leaning completely on it, deep in sleep. Cursing, her legs pinned viciously to the hastily made post, Kei looked for a way out. Any way out. But all of her magic was faulting in this area, and there was no way for her to reach her weapons.
Gods...I refuse to call for help like some little girl! she commanded herself, and turned to the chanined-up Orwin for ideas. The Elemental Wolf cocked one eyebrow (as much as a wolf can) then rolled his icy-blue eyes. Without warning he tilted back his sleek head and let out an errie, unique howl. There was no mistaking it for an ordinary wolf-howl, but the cry was easily classified as a call for help.
Casting the 'Guardian' vengeful looks, the girl prepared fo a battle. No doubt there would be one soon enough.

Several arrows shot across the clearing, severing the links binding the white wolf and the woman. Selene stepped out of the brush, "Need some help?" she asked, a small smile held on her lips. She raised her bow, and shot a few of the poachers, then ran in beside the woman and let her the rest of the way out of her bonds. Then moved over and did the same for the wolf. She pointed her bow at another poacher, emerging from a tree, and couldn't be bothered to wonder what the hell was going on as she shot him in the stomach. "I suggest we get the hell out of here!" She said, looking around the clearing for the men she could still sense out there. "The name is Selene, by the way."

Summer was walking around in the glades, and was standing on a tree top, letting the wind blow in her vibrant green hair. She turned when she heard a loud howl, and sensed distress. Then, she heard a bow shoot several times. Her wings quivered as she took off into the air, trying to pin-point a location on the distress. She looked down to see a white wolf, and two girls. "I best stay hidden" she said to herself quietly, and followed the two girls, and the white wolf.

As soon as their bonds, severed by acurrate arrows, fell away, Kei and Orwin shot to each other's side. As soon as the girl buried her arm in the wolf's fur, they nodded. Her choice of weapon mimicked the other woman's...Selene's. She drew her bow from her back. The sleek, whippy branch, whittled from a long-forgotten tree, felt good in her hands, and quick as lightning she had send a mental,
Fire! to Orwin, and had her quiver of arrows settled at her side.
She notched a shaft, then released it testingly, a tiny smile riddling her features as the tip flared when it shot from her fingers. It struck one of the numerous men, sending him spinning like a top. He cried out as his 'camoflauge' checkered-like green outfit caught fire. He went down instantly.
The rest, beckoned back to the camp by their comrads' calls, faltered. One second too much. Three more fell beneath her arrows before they could resume, and another five erupted in magical flame until Keirin was commanded to retreat by Orwin and the new 'Selene'.
She scrambled up the nearest oak, and was in the highest boughs within the minute. At that instant her ears, larger and more acute than normal, twitched. She would of sworn that she had heard a wingbeat.
Her emerald eyes flared, and she notched another bow, wedged tactfully in between two thick branches. Orwin, perched strangely on a horizontal extrusion, was a step ahead of her.
I do believe we have one ally, multiple enemies, and an observer at this point in time. Sometimes I wish you had just been satisfied with home life.
Kei cocked her eyebrows mentally and blew a long strand of red from her face. She called out in her practiced voice; it was near-impossible to locate.
"if their's anyone around that is equally divided on alliances, know that the camoflauged men are Fae hunters."
Her druidic ears were erect, instinctively trying to hear which direction any and all responsive voices were. Surely any normal, moral person would be disgusted at anyone who would hunt a peaceful, tiny humanoid creature, just for their wings and magic.
OOC- yar. Fae are, o' course, fairies. I like Fae better though

Summer landed next to the faerie perched in the tree armed with a bow, and arrow. “Excuse me, are you in…” She stopped as she heard a gun-shot in the distance. “Hmmm… my name is Summer…, I would like to help you anyway I can…” she paused again hearing another gun shot off in the distance. “I think I can lead them away, by closing the trail here, and opening a new one, by moving the brush. Summer smiled, as she lowered her hands, and touched the trunk, and her energy coursed down, the tree, and spread out through the ground. The plants began to move, the pathway, that lead to the tree was closed, and the grass moved to the side, and opened a new path, to hopefully, send the hunters in a different direction. Summers wings, began to fan back and forth “We must go, they are sure to find us some time, we must leave quickly…”

OOC-Just for the record, Keirin isn't a Fae herself. The poachers are hunting Fae, but Keirin trid to stop them. She fell in the midst of them, therefore blowing her cover. ^^;
BIC-
Staring with intrigue as the winged girl bent the force f nature to her own uses. She was about to object to that when a stern mind of her peer reminded,
"You were shooting arrows enchanted with fire through a dense forest, ya know."
Remaining silent, Kei coiled her legs and jumped to a nearby tree's branch. Her hands, palms gloved safely, clenthed the misfigured bough, and she flipped onto it with trained silence. Orwin, his color a translucent gray, settled beside her.
The branch she had chosen was chosen for a reason. It was a Weeping Willow branch, and the tree's depressed foliage provided a supreme cover. She turned towards the way she had come, waiting for the fellow archer, as well as for the Fae-like girl. Orwin hovered at her side, WInd Elements keeping him aloft as easy as a dandelion seed caught in a gust of wind.
"You are acting oddly social, Kei. Are you sick?"[/i] The small shaggy wolf inquired, a tint of knowing in his voice.
"Don't act as if you can't sense it. You're keener than I. There's something big happening...and it has to do with this place. I don't even detect Fae, and I'm fairly popular in the Fae society." the Druid explained, her deep brown ears twitching.
"And I believe that there's no way for them...or any of us really...to avoid this conflict now."she finished.
With that she turned her attention back to the gap in the Willow's drooping vines; those vines seemed to mimic her exact mood for what was going on.

Summer landed gracefully on the branch, and bent her knees "I will provide us with mor leaves as cover..." Summer quietly placed her hands on the trunk of the weeping willow, and leaves began to grow subtly across the tree. She stopped when she heard footsteps, and she held her breath. She place both her hands on the branch, and tried to keep as still as possibly, until the coast was clear.

Selene could plainly see the two figures in the tree, but she had an archers eye, and she didn't easily miss such things. She could also see, below them, two poachers apperantly spreading out in a search pattern. She lifted her bow once, two arrows drawn, and shot both men through the neck, cutting their vocal cords and paralysing them. She looked around, trying to spot any other danger. When she found none, she trotted over to the tree and whispered, "Cost is clear!" up the branches.

Silent and feeling reletively useless, Keirin cringed as Selene's voice echoed up to them from below. Easily making out the girl's body from the leafy ground, Keirin called back in a voice mimicking the other's care.
"Come up here, I think-"
What she thought was never finished, for at that exact moment the tree decided to open up. It wasn't natural by any means, snapping lougly from a knothole at its base. Keirin's branch began to tremble, then bucked up, forcing her to alight on the spongy grass in front of the widening hole.
As she stared on, stunned, the bark on the tree began to seperate, much like a high-quality mechanical door. It opened in this way until there was a rectangular door about three feet tall and two wide. Instantly he druid could make out a pair of luminous lime-green eyes.
"Heyla, Fae." she greeted it, dipping her head respectfully.
The eyes dipped similiarly, but the being didn't emerge. Now that she was focused on it, the Fae's thrumming wings filled up her ears. Gesturing vaquely over her shoulder for the ohers, Kei inched towards the knot-hole cautiously.
"Queen Selenay waould like a word with you, Misses." a small but adult voice explained politely.
A small frown creased Keirin's lips, but she resisted asking her question now. There were surely poachers left, and the noise wouls attract them, however quiet. Instead, she set one boot inside the tree's hollow trunk.
She fully entered the tree, but her eyes widened in surprise a few seconds later. She had went to move forward, and instantly one of her feet had become lodged in loam. Not only that, but the silky-soft soil was engulfing her as rapidly as jungle quicksand. Before she could speak or do much of anything, she was entirely encased in dirt. She began to panic, trying to back up, when Orwin's knowing mind made contact.
"Relax, this is a Fae-portal. You're going to a Fae-city, just move forward." he explained.
As his words ended, Kei could make out two electric-blue eyes in front of her, connected to a deep brown wolf body. Orwin in his Earth Element. She followed those blue eyes, forgetting that Selene and Summer were about to undergo the same frightening experience.
She emerged, enitely loam-free, in one of the most beautiful, natural cities she'd witnessed. Her mouth hung slightly agape, and she sat at the city's entrance. Orwin sat neatly at her side, believing that she was just waiting for her new colleagues.
OOC-Sorries for the horrible post. I wanted to wait for ya'll before I started describing everything

Summer followed Keirin, into the tree. She stuck her foot in, in the same as the girl that went in previous to her. Instantly, she was sucked in, and she flailed her arms around, until she landed on her bottom, next to Kei. Summer breathed deep, and looked at Kei, and explained what happened on the way down. She smiled, as she learned she wasn't the only who had the problem of panicking.
Summers eyes began to glisten as she viewed the city in front of her.

Selene followed the other two through the portal, and came out the other side cursing and trying to brush the horrible DIRT out from under her fingernails, and out of her precious hair. "Look! Just because you two travel like savages doesn't mean I want to! Now where the hell are we? If we got any farther into the my childhood fantasy's I'd be a fetus!"

Raising one eyebrow in silent skeptism, Keirin looked over her shoulder. Soon enough the small messanger Fae materialized gracefully in front of them, shimmering insect-like blue wings blurring. Its hair was a glittering bright green, matching its-his-eyes exactly. Keirin knew from experence that the small Fae was male, simply by its hairstyle. If the hair wasn't shoulder-length or longer, then you were undoubtedly speaking to a male. This particular adult had wild, untamed hair. It stuck up as if it had hit a brick wall in the front, and was stuck out in crazed short spikes in the back.
He wore a small pair of jeans, a deep green, as well as a faded lime tunic. Two brown, flexible lether shoes adorned his feet, and a matching brown jacket covered his arms. Looking closer, Keirin felt a faint memory kick up.
"Is that you, Levan?" she asked, her voice quiet and taking on the Fae accent.
The Fae smirked happily, and bowed gracefully in midair. He was clearly proud that she recognized him.
"Yes, Ms. Ke-"
"I've told you, no 'Ms.' In fact, I would rather you call me 'Kei'." she interupted, shifting lightly from right to left foot.
"You may wish to explain to the archer woman." Orwin softly interjected.
Levan was flitting back in forth a few inches, clearly frightened by the anger-waves eminating from Selene. As usual, her spirit grew firey in annoyance at how the woman had snapped, and let her anger out in a soft-spoken rebuke.
"Archer." she stated, turning to completely face the complaining girl. " You are aware that Fae feel and react to emotion-waves, right? Anyways, none of us-" she gestured around. "got coated in dirt."
She grimaced instantly. What's wrong with me? I never snap like that. Even though I kept my voice, I know it was snapping. The last thing an outsider like me needs to do is make enemies.
Yet, Levan was quivering now, his face pale and silent for the emotions battering his own sensitive mind.
Put an emotion shield on us, Orwin." she told the Elemental Wolf, who nodded his elegant head in agreement.
"I'm sorry for that." she said, watching the Fae's color return to his constinence. "My name is Keirin, and my wise companion here is Orwin. He's an Elemental Wolf, rare nowadays, but one just the same."
Orwin barked slightly in greetings, and the duo waited for the others to reply and introduce themselves. Around them, a city made entirely of natural material was in motion, and Keirin could hear a hot-spring-waterfall's soft trickling in the background.
After this, I sure hope that my Fae friend can explain what the important occasion is. Kei thought, her eyes downcast as her withdrawn stance--shoulders up a bit and slumped over, biting her lip as she retreated to her thoughts--took over.

Summer eyes lit up "This is like a mini-version of my home planet" the girl stood up. "Back where I come from, I am the princess... don't ask me to pro-nounce the name of our planet in English..." Summer giggled, she was like a girl in a candy shop.
Summer lifted her hand, and gingerly searched through her hair, and picked out a small odd shaped seed. She placed it in the ground, and it began to grow from the ground. She smiled, as it began to take root, it eventually began to grow in a small tree. "I guess I must control the height..." Then, vines began to fall down, and luscious purple grapes began to grow.
"Hungary any one?" Summer asked and began to eat from the small grape vines.

Selene looked around more or less calmly, taking in her surroundings. "Well, isn't this all very pretty." She said calmly, containing several retorts she's liked very much to have directed at what she assumed was a half-elf. "But" She said, redirecting her attention to the fairy. "I would appericiate and explanation. Specifically, why are we here, what's going on, and what your queen would request of us, since we're outlanders and obviously giving commands would be extremely impolite."
She looked around, then added. "Though anything request she might have that has to do with killing those poachers is good with me. If they kill any more animals, I'm going to slowly shove blunt arrow shafts into their eye sockets."

Thankful that the woman, Selene, hadn't risen to the anger-induced bait Keirin had put out, the Druid looked back at Levan. The small creature nodded at Keirin and Selene, cast Summer an envious look at her wings, and cleared his throat.
"If you'd please follow me, Mi--girls, Selenay has set aside an immediate council with you. I'm awfully sorry, as she hasn't informed me of her intentions, but I'm sure she'll answer any of your questions. This way."
With that, he set off, flying backwards to make sure he didn't lose the outsiders. He led hem along a small brown path, unique and beautiful flowers on either side of them. Within ten minutes the green-color based Fae stopped. For the first time in awhile, Keirin looked up, and felt her jaw open slightly of its own accord.
In front of them was an entirely natural castle. Entryways of flowering vines, lookout towers of magnificent Sequiya trees, and the basic structure carved out of a mountain-side. The only problem was size.
"Levan, how can we get in?" Keirin asked, looking at the small, 2-foot-high doorway.
Smiling secretively, Levan explained, "The Queen thought of that. trust me, when you come close enough, Fae magic taks care of size, and mobility, issues."
"Ah, I'm sure you'll like that. mocked Orwin, grinning doggedly.
"What about you? Wing's will be odd on you... she countered.
The Elemental Wolf shrugged, and both stepped forward at the same time. Keirin was paralized instantly, but beofre long felt a marvolous sensation spread from her shoulderblades to her mid-back. Two sets of silver-butterfly-like wings unfolded, reminding Keirin that most features on a Fae were based on personality. The intricate lining of hers was a jet-black, and the ends of each of her four temporary wings curled neatly.
Next to her, Orwin had gained a marvelous pair of dragon-type wings, icy white in color. Keirin looked around before noticing Levan, who was now (of course) taller than her. His face bore a now-noticable scar, a red slash across one cheek, and she could see the maturity in him. He hovered above her, insect-wings humming in the background.
"Pretty." he stated enviously, then turned back to the others.
"Ms. Summer, if you would like to keep your own wings, just concentrate on them. Otherwise they may or may not alter due to your personality. Ms. Selene, unless I am mistaken, you are a Dragoon. Therefore, you ought to gain your dragoon wings when transforming, due to your personality. Once everyone is in, I'll lead you to the Council room."
Keirin tested her new body parts, and felt the exilerence of lisfting into the air by fluttering her wings at a speed almost equal to Levan's, the black-lined wings were a blur of silver. Orwin however took his wingbeats in casual beats, rising up and down steadily, his forepaws resting on his fluffy chest as the wings kept him sideways.

Summer walked foward "You know, Fae's are a lot like our own planet, all natural buildings, made from vines and trunks of tree's..." Summer walked foward, and she shrunk, into proportion of her natural size.
After the transformation was finished she looked up "Wow, everything seems so much bigger, but, at the same time normal... I guess it feels like we haven't shrunk at all..." Summer giggled and flew up next to Kei. Summer grabbed her hands, and she began to spin with her in the air "Isn't flying so much fun!"

Selene raised an eye-brow, then stepped forwards and shrunk down to the size of a fae. Her dragoon spirit automatically took over at that point, and for a brief moment she shone brightly, before stepping forward out of the light, covered in shining silver armor, with crystallin dragon's wings sprouting from her back. He bow in her hands, due to the fact she didn't have anywhere else to put it if she wanted to fly. She flew up to the others, giggling. "Alright, I admit it, I love flying." She said bringly, grinning gamely. "And flying through this place should be fun."

Looking around at Orwin in bewilderment as Summer sent them into a wild mid-air spin, Keirin beat her shimmer-y wings to keep up.
" That would be how most girls show friendliness, Kei. the light-blue-now Orwin explained, studying his own dragonic wings as they immediately altered in color as well.
Attempting a feeble smile, she came of the twirl. Without warning, everything went upside down, and then was back right. Levan watched them with an amused face, and then grinned widely at Kei.
"That would be an flip, M--Kei." he explained. "Are you all ready to meet with Queen Selenay?"
Appearently they needed to meet her right away, as he set off down a corridor quickly. Keirin gestured to the oher girls that their guide was leaving, then set off.
They passed only a few Fai in the halls, most of which did neat, midair bows. Only one didn't, and he looked more as if he'd rather attack the trio. They came to a stop at a waterfall, falling through a carefully-cut piece of floor. Levan disappeared into it.
"Big surprise..." murmured Keirin before following.
She came out on the one modified room in the Fae castle. Glittering marble made up the entire throne room. Sitting elegantly on a slender throne was Selenay. She had otherworldly-curly hair of marine-blue. Two aqua colored eyes met them as they came in.
Keirin landed carefully on the marble stone, and did the basic Fae bow, dipping her head before rising into the air to perform a small three-sixty, and landing again.
"Your Majesty." she acknowledged.
Levan seated himself on a small ledge, shaped specifically to sit on. Keirin smiled slightly at the Queen.
"Keirin, I've waited to meet you." Selenay's voice sounded almost addictive. "It's a pity that we meet under such bitter conditions."
I have the feeling that this is a business meeting. Orwin noted.
The Elemental Wolf had landed neatly at her side, and sat with his tail curled around his silky paws.
"Misses Keirin, Selene, and Summer. If you have any mandatory questions, I request you hold them a little while longer."
Kei stiffled a yawn, wondering how long it had been since she had slept. She had been tracking the poachers for at least a couple of days.
"As you might have guessed, I have an...issue, I require our services for. Why you? Solely becuase you were the closest capable people around. The quest in question, to put it short, is retrieving something. We would do it, but we have been put underground due to poacher activities."
Keirin frowned. "Why not just enchant the forests of issue?"
Selenay nodded. "That is what I planned on doing. However, I have a problem. All strong spells cast by Fae use a 'Soul Stone', an orb that spreads our magic. And, a few months ago, ours was stolen by a Pseudo-Drake. We can track it, but it's too far for any of our connections to reach."
She left the idea hangiong in the air. It was obvious what she needed them to do, now was the time for questions. Keirin saw no issues. She had nothing to do besides help out nature, and Fae were natural by far. She crossed her arms and leaned back onto a marble pillar.
You are far too kind to non-humans. Orwin mocked, with pride in his mind-voice.

Summer balled her fist and punched the air with excitment "Yes, I will do it. If it helps out nature, then I am in!" Summer smiled, and stood next to Kei. "This is going to be fun isnt it? ohhh, I just can't wait to get started..." Summers wings began to become more vibrant in color the more she became excited, and her wings began to act as a butterfly's who was perched on a branch. Opening, and closing at random times.

Selene looked at the queen thoughtfully. "Have you any idea where its located? And, more importantly, do you have anything that might help keep us all alive while we're looking for it. Personally I have no desire to see a knife suddenly appear in my chest while I'm searching." She redirected the flow of air over his wings, moving forwards steadily, her toes barely an inch off the ground. "And another thing, why are these men suddenly attacking you? It doesn't seem to me like an intelligent action, making war against intensily magical beings such as the fae."

"Actually," Selenay said softly, "things started getting dangerous after the Orb was taken. We don't know how the Drake got in...maybe it was more magic-based then normal. It didn't take long for poachers to realize that Fae weren't using magic of great strengths anymore. And apperantly, rumor has spread about all of the uses a Fae can have, alive or dead."
The Queen paused, possibly to wonder how men could see Fae as money-making creatures.
"As to the whereabouts, I believe you are all aqainted, now, with Levan? As a Fae, he has a type of radar to the Soul Stone. And for defenses...well, the best we can offer you, really, wouls be some weapons from our stores...I don't know how much good it would be, truthfully."
She sighed, a mixure of sorrow and exhaustion.
Keirin leaned upwars again, smiling up at Levan.
"I'll check out the stores. There might be something of use, right, Majesty?"

"Well, that's a start, and a good step towards keeping us alive. Hopefully their will be something useful in your stores." Selene said. "Now, I've no idea how a fae could be useful, alive or dead. Its rather hard to kill such a small target, so I don't see how anyone could've figured out any uses for your bodys at all, especially since it would be considered murder, as you are sentient." She said calmly. "As for the forest, I can create a temporary barrier, if you want, but dragoon magic or not, it'll take a great deal of energy. I'll need more fae to fuel the spell." She let her feet touch on the ground, folded her wings and took a few calm steps. "Beyond that, the only thing I can do is fight. I'm not that powerful of a dragoon yet. There are those who could kill every poacher in this forest in a moment, but I'm afraid I'm not one of them, additionally, my power focuses more on healing than dealing out damage. I'm a support fighter at best." She sighed, "It would be better to get one of the others, but I don't think we have time." She bit her lip, wishing for Prime.

Keirin stumbled dumbly after the hyper woman, Orwin trailing with a smirk. Their footsteps echoed softly on the marble, and the guards nodded warmly to them before stepping to the side. Keirin nervously grabbed ahold of one enormous door, and tugged. It opened slowly, being made of heavy stone.
She peeked tentively inside, and ended up immobile. Piles and piles of specially made weapons, useful tools, beautiful trinkets, rolled up maps, and other amazing artifacts took up more space than her keen archer's eye could even see.
"Wow..." she whispered.
She stepped in fully, wondering how long they'd just be there, gathering supplies....

OOC: I can use this topic for Summers obtaining of new weapons.
BIC:
Summer smiled, as she picked out a pair of swords, made the same exact way. The blade was green, with a un-known language to her written up the middle of the sword, and they were as light as a feather, and could be wielded easily. She picked them off the shelf, and attatched one to each of her hips "Suits me well, dontcha think?" She said winking at Kei.
She then peered up, and she picked out a giant boomerang, specially made for long-distance throwing, and a little bit of close combat, it too, was also a shade of green, but with pink petals spread across it. Each of the straps at the end were laced, and had Fae writing incsribed in them. She strapped it on her back strategicall placed in the middle of her wings. The boomerang was also light, and easy to wield. "Hmm..." Summer said with glee. "I think I have what I need weapons wise.
