The dojo was empty, the lights turned out and the doors locked. A lone figure sat on the mats, her legs splayed and her body rocked forward.
"Sixty," the figure spoke in a high, quiet voice, rising again to a sitting posture. Incongruously, her outfit was far from the standard gi for karate, instead replaced by a black shirt of a thin fabric, the sleeves trailing down past her hands by a good foot, and baggy white pants that seemed almost to pool around her on the floor. Over her eyes, she wore a shoddy-looking off-white plastic visor hung low, seemingly obscuring her vision. She rose to her feet, her measure revealed to be a rather petite frame barely bigger than a middle-school child.
"So, when are ya gonna show up, huh? I had to call in a favor on my sensei's rep to get this dojo for the night, punk." The girl walked over to the wall, and fumbled with the switches. The lights in the coat area flickered on then off again, and then the locker room illuminated. She sighed, and flipped them off, turning the main lights over the padded floor on. A knocking came from the door, and she perked up almost instantly. A devilish smile traced across her lips.
"I've heard rumors about this fellow, but never a name... Always just little bits and pieces about some new kid with potential." She swaggered up to the door, opening turning the knob that locked it.
"So, you're him, eh? The name's Achenes."

"Zabuza," he said simply, walking onto the dojo floor. He didn't have any shoes with him, and his feet and hands were already wrapped. "I can't believe my masters are making me do this," he muttered. "I should be training, not sparring with a girl. Not that I don't respect your talent," he said quickly, "but I'm afraid of touching something squishy and spontaneously combusting from embarrassment." He looked the young girl over, taking in her general attire, and form.
"Kung Fu? A form of Chi Kung? Or am I off?" he asked. "That's generally what longer sleeves indicate. A form of grappling using clothing as aid right?" She probably had Ki or Chi potential as well, if not access to Chakra. "How do you want to do this?" he asked, taking a relaxed pose with one thumb tucked into his belt at his waist. He was wearing Kung Fu pants with a Karate Gi, which had been cut off higher than usual; the sleeves had also been removed. "I warn you though, I'm still a coward. I haven't yet conquered my fear of combat," he said. "So don't get all disappointed if you win."
OOC - I would usually want to stay on all night shooting back and forth with you, but its bedtime for me. I'll post when I get up tomorrow morning, first thing.

"It might seem odd, but they're masters for a reason. They know what brings out your strengths, and how to do it the most efficiently. Of course, if you're anything like me, you hate them every single minute of training that you go through." Achenes paused at his comment, and laughed slightly.
"You expect to touch something squishy on me? You've got a better chance at winning the lottery, or winning by me getting suddenly struck by lightning." Her laughing continued, and she gestured towards herself. Indeed, curvy, she was not.
"Anyways... I really don't know the roots of my style... It's more a training regimen than anything. Or something... The boss- Sensei... well, he didn't really tell me that much about the origins of it." Achenes paused, thinking to herself for a moment. "Grappling really is the opposite of what we do... You'll see when we start fighting, but I don't want to ruin the surprise.
"That's okay. Being afraid of combat is natural for almost anybody... Just don't run away, or I'll have to beat the snot out of you." Achenes smiled slightly. "That's one thing I can tell you. There's a whole list of moves designed for use on fleeing opponents in our school. Not that we're bullies... But it fits our purpose well." She brought one sleeve up to the other, apparently cracking her knuckles through the fabric.
"I think it's about time we start." Achenes bowed modestly, and as soon as she had finished, she stepped back about four paces. She slouched low, her head up alertly, watching, waiting. Her eyes took on an incredibly focused look, seeming scanning every inch of Zabuza's body, especially his face, like a surgeon examining a patient... No... Like a hawk watching a rat.

Zabuza sighed, then his face smoothed out and his body relaxed. He could read well the predatory way the young woman was looking at him, and the casual way she assumed superiority as well. He wanted to shake his head, but dared not to takes his eyes off her. He started circulating his Chi through his body, and stored up his Ki for power strikes. He looked at her as a snake would, with unfocused eyes, but perceiving every movement. That was what was truly important in martial arts.
Zabuza placed his left hand over his right, indicating his style was from the south, and inclined his head slightly. He then put his hands together in an odd position, and bowed again, but this time his feet were moving before he'd even finished. With a quick, feathered step, he covered the distance between himself and the young woman, then extended his leg to her left. He dropped down, and twisted, coming up behind her. Without wasting any motion, he used his momentum to launch a chop at the side of her neck.

Achenes responded by twisting inside the room that his leg marked, and turning her head to face him. The chop that would have hit her vulnerable neck instead had the edge of a particularly hard, sharp plastic visor thrust directly into the joint of the wrist. Achenes smirked and took advantage of the pause to try to throw a knee to the inside of his outstretched leg, hoping to strike a fairly vulnerable spot towards the upper section of his thigh. While doing so, she brought up her left arm, hard to discern in the incredibly baggy fabric. If her knee hit, she'd follow up with a quick uppercut to the jaw, but if it missed, she'd need to guard against his counterattack. OOC: Don't expect any honor from Achenes. Her favorite hobby is beating up criminals, so she fights rather dirty. And, no, that wasn't a groin attack, since that would be too low even for her.

Achenes' knee impacted with his thigh, and the uppercut with the bottom of his chin. His thigh felt like a tire, and his neck didn't even budge from the uppercut. "You're too close in," he said, his hands over her sternum and stomach. "You lose power that way." Zabuza's knee followed the smooth line in behind him, putting Achenes up on one foot and unbalanced, and he leaned forward, putting his body weight and leg strength into the point blank blow at Achenes' stomach.
A burst of wind followed the attack, and Zabuza took several cautious steps back. Watching Achenes carefully, he wondered what exactly she would try next. Nothing extremely stupid, like last time he hoped.
OOC - Lee, the leg forward and twisting chop to the side of the neck, that means you extend your leg, bend your weight on to it, then twist and come up on both legs behind your opponent. I'm assuming you struck while the leg was extended, which puts us about 2 feet apart. And close range attacks lose a great deal of power from that distance, so much so that it won't effect a trained martial artist.

OOC: I know. Achenes is a powerhouse for her size, and her very small height means it's not as much of a loss, but she's been going moderately "Easy" on him at first. You'll see more of her actual potential soon.
BIC: "I know," Achenes responded, only smiling and shifting ever so slightly as the blow came in at her. She brought her right arm in at the last moment, deflecting the majority of the force of the blow to the side. Even without a full hit though, the combination of the off-center attack striking her hip and the wind blew her back a good five feet and spun her around. She landed in ready stance, tatters of the hem of her shirt falling to the ground.
OOC: About a five inch by five inch hole in her outfit, to the side of her hip. Clarifying so it doesn't sound like a wardrobe malfunction. And this whole "Fictional martial art that isn't one" thing of Achenes is kinda tricky to do right against your experience, since it kinda operated on Hong Kong Action Flicks/Kenshin-fu, where attacks shouldn't work that way, but do since it's cool.
BIC: "You might be green, but they did condition you right at least." Achenes flipped her hair, apparently taking her eyes off of him for a moment. The fake opening didn't really work this time, and she knew it wouldn't. The wasn't the point of it. She almost instantly transitioned into a full-out run at him, knowing full well that such a behavior was asking to have her knees kicked out from under her. As she closed in, she kept her gaze focused on him, waiting for the move out of the way, and then the kick.
If he did, she'd actually maneuver at something approaching her real speed, step over the kick, and try to throw an elbow to either his side or his kidneys, depending on where he ended up and the the type of kick he chose. If he decided to take the charge, she'd throw a haymaker right at his jaw. That'd be inviting a throw or counter of some sort, but she had a plan for that as well...
Right now, she knew that he wasn't as weak as she had initially sensed, but she still trusted her training and almost superhuman reflexes enough that she could risk a few more rather tactless maneuvers.
After these years of battling gunmen, brawlers, and knife fighters, sparring with a real martial artist is totally different... Achenes thought to herself in the moment before closing in.

Zabuza read her carefully, following the tensions of the muscle in her body that were nearly imperceptible. He read through, and made a plan of his own. He reversed, going down into a low sweep he was hoping she'd jump over. Her momentum would carry her right over him, and he'd push off the ground, and then follow that off the low ceiling to pound a reverse elbow into the floor.
If she tried to attack him while she was in the air, he'd twist through the sweep and bring both of his feet up in a ninety-degree angle. Twisting, he would send the inevitable kick off-balance, and perform the same maneuver as he'd planned before. Adjusting for her new position, which would likely be wider from the intended target point.
If she decided to use more speed than she was already, which her muscle lining suggested she possessed, he would only let his knees bend halfway, and then jump up to the ceiling to dodge. Following with a half-backflip and a falling reverse hammer kick into the position which would likely be behind him.
If she did something else... He'd have to improvise in a wild manner.

Achenes shot past him, throwing a knee at the last second that glanced off of his shoulder. She knew it wouldn't do much damage if any, but... She used the impact to spin herself around again, facing toward where Zabuza had been just a moment earlier. He was gone... Achenes lunged back, barely avoiding the massive attack as it slammed into the floor. A gust of wind buffeted her, her voluminous garb flapping freely in the aftermath of the blow.
"The ceiling, too, huh?" Achenes smiled slightly, and began swaying slightly on her feet, slowly increasing in speed. Zabuza sprung to his feet, revealing that his blow had cleaved through the mats and splintered the hardwood floor below.
"It seems that the real you is starting to show up." Achenes smiled, and then began moving, darting to her right. She shifted back to her left, accelerating even further, and spun, using her momentum to throw a vicious high roundhouse kick at her opponent.
OOC: Sorry about the autos. Kinda wanted to give us a "clean slate" set up for another exchange of blows. And yeah, Achenes is incredibly hard to hit, though she can't handle a full on attack very well if it sticks. (As said before, she's a very evasion heavy character)

OOC - Eugh, you've force accelerated Zabuza's power twice in this topic so far. He would've damaged the mats sure, but not cracked a hole in the floor. And the wind blast is light, signaling his potential, its not capable of causing damage on its own. Or it wasn't supost to anyways, but since we're doing forced acceleration, I may as well take it to three months of training, and write in the missing details later on.
For those wondering, Month One - Starter Physical Conditioning Ki, Chi Training Chakra Combination Month Two - Harder Physical Conditioning Chakra Precision, Ki Power Wind Element Training Month Three - Standard Physical Training Thunder Element Training Refinement
So this is the part where it gets fun I guess. SOOOOOOO much writing to do later, do you know how many school based fights I had in there? Euuuuugh! *dies*
BIC: Zabuza watched her speed up with a sense of fear, and started to panic a little. His eyes widened, and unfocused even more. Though the effect was beneficial, whether he would be able to act when she attacked was uncertain. So, reluctantly, he took some of his master's advice. If backed into a corner, or perceiving yourself as such, make yourself large and attack fiercely. Of course, that wasn't meant in a literal sense.
Zabuza took up a low posture, and wind began to billow lightly off his body. It whipped his clothing around and messed with his hair, creating a very physical barrier around his arms and legs. He drew in a deep, deep breath, and exhaled slowly. Lightning pulsed from his arms and into the whirling wind around his arms, covering his forearms and fist. The same occurred with his legs, and the lightning's energy suddenly seemed as if it was caught in the tornado's.
The light humming sound of electricity filled the room, the ambient light changed to a whitish blue. The wind and thunder around his arms raged as one, creating a semitransparent blue aura that blazed fiercely but in an extremely limited and controlled manner. Zabuza's head snapped up, and he looked at the young woman, feeling a little more confident. "Giving your evasive style, I'm guessing the wide area nature of this would be bad?" he asked, not waiting for an answer. He darted forwards on light feet, took a light skip into the air, and brought his arm down in an arc directed at the top of her head and the floor.
OOC - I made him overconfident, so he has more openings. Feel free to take advantage of them. But this is the max, unless you want me to make him use his eye's.

OOC: Well its ight, I don't mind to much sept for the writing I have to catch up on. In any case, to clairify, his technique looks cool yes. Literal blazing thunder, sweet deal. However, thats the low power version. So yeah, hit like a stun gun, leaves a burn mark of he grabs you, and cuts you like thousands of little tiny razor blades. However, despite these side effects, it doesn't help him punch through a wall. Not would it seriously hurt your character in one blow.
He does have a technique that can do that, but it isn't a constant activation thing.

"Maybe," was all that Achenes could say before Zabuza's charge reached her. She waited until he had chosen a dedicated course of action, a falling punch, and decided that discretion was much wiser than valor. She tumbled to her right, throwing herself as far as she could and maintaining the roll for two more revolutions. She rose to her knee at the end of the third spin, watching his attack hit the floor.
The floormats beneath his fist seemingly disintegrated, piece by piece, as some invisible force tore into them... Sparks and arcs of electricity shot outwards, leaving little bits of melted rubber where they hit. A stray one caught Achenes in the shoulder, burning through her shirt and leaving a tiny, stinging burn. As his fist hit the concrete, it left a pockmark in the pavement, the dust being shunted by his aura into the air above him. The force from the attack hit Achenes a moment later, almost knocking her off of her feet while a wave of heat like opening an oven passed over her.
Slightly staggered, she recovered from the display quickly. Darting in at him from where she had landed, roughly ten feet away, she used every bit of speed she could muster. She aimed for a punch directly to his ribs from the side, feeling her arm tingle as she neared him. Focusing her energy as best she could despite his interfering aura, she put a massive amount of power behind the upwards blow.
OOC: I'm basically writing that attack as you said, a whole lot of bluster. The wind burst/heat has very little practical application, but is good for intimidation, so I went with that being the aftermath of his attack, with less real damage than the focused elbow drop to where he was aiming for.

Zabuza felt her coming, as he thought she probably would. He also knew that he couldn't block it, but his arms were fast enough to at least make it mutual. Or more than mutual, as the case may be. A rough orb of blazing lightning appeared in his palm, not at all transparent, and around it grew a larger semi-transparent aura of the same type that was around his arms. One, he thought, as he turned his body toward his attacker and threw the palm at her the same moment as she started her attack. OOC - To quote Edward I believe, "Equivalent Exchange bitch!" But yeah, THAT one is a monster. He has a three shot max at the moment. However its not an explosive wide area attack, its a very focused wind/lightning attack the pierces and burns in a small area. If you 'take' the hit as I am atm, I suggest dodging it at least a little, otherwise it'll mess up her face.

"Crud!" Achenes used the force of her punch to shove off of him, the blow missing her face but grazing her right shoulder as she spun away from him. Achenes attempted to throw a back kick at his face, but winced before she fully released the attack and jumped back again. Still facing him while walking backwards, she examined the damage out of the corner of her eye. A nasty burn... Probably not third degree, but it might be second. There was a bruise already forming beneath the burn... she could feel it. That attack would have wiped her out for sure had it hit her head.
"Okay, then... I think it's time for me to use my own secret technique." Achenes sighed, pulling the visor as low as it would go over her eyes. She spread her arms, almost as if expecting an embrace, and her face went blank. She began stepping towards him, slow and almost robotically, devoid of seeming emotion.
"Come on, then. See if you can actually deal with me," she said, continuing to walk toward him in her strangely open stance.

OOC - Oh ok, then it isn't really gonna help you much...
BIC - Zabuza cut his chakra circulation, rubbing his shoulder where her punch had impacted. The blazing thunder disappeared everywhere save for his left forearm and hand, he flexed it uncertainly as he took in her stance. She was terribly exposed, and he had several ideas as to why. But the quickest method was simply to attack and find out. He slid his foot forward until he was low on the ground, andn put his palms to the ground. He twisted his legs around, aiming a two-legged sweep at her legs.
OOC - Shortpost again, heh, all martial arts find their origin in dancing.

The attack hit, but felt almost as if it hit nothing. Achenes' legs both went kicking from under her, leaving her without support. The girl began spinning as she fell, and there the intent became evident. Her elbow came up, slashing out at (OOC: At, not "slashing out" ) Zabuza's throat as she fell with the speed of a striking serpent, and she continued the rotation, coming back up to her feet about five feet away to his left side. Her eyes came up, watching him again, this time with a glimmer of mischief in them, although her face remained slack. Her arms dropped to the same stance as before, and she walked at him again. OOC: Yeah, you already know what kung-fu movie cliche trick this is, and how badly using it in real life would fail. But hey, that's what RP is for, right?

Zabuza twisted with her blow, in a similar manner as she had his, and came around with a wide kick to her torso just as she landed flat-footed. He twisted and planted his foot on the ground, pushing off to the side, then reversing into a shoulder charge intended to be planted in his enemy's armpit and ribs. "No more games please!" he said, reaching around her stomach with one arm, and attempting to knee her in the back with the opposite leg a moment after he'd finished the charge. At that point, she would only have two ways to dodge. If she jumped upwards, he'd follow her with a fist full of blazing lightning. If she tried to jump away from him, there was only one available direction. If she chose that route, he'd push after her, and twist his body around to try to plant his heel in her temple.

It started raining outside, and the drops landed lightly on the bright blue hair of Aquara, causing her hair to fall flat. "Damn it," she said, rubbing her hand through her hair to spike it back up and have the swing effect. Giving up, and not having any victory against mother nature, she walked slowly to the door of a dojo. She placed her ear against the door, and she heard the shifting of mats, and solid contact of two martial artists fighting.
Aquara smiled, her breathing becoming heavier, eyes widening, "A fight..." She placed a hand against the door, and she could sense the vibrations from the fight. "It seems to be between two worthy opponents," she whispered silently to herself; the anticipation of a fight could be heard in the unsettled tone of her voice. Her hand trailed delicately to the door knob. "It's locked..." smiling more she stepped back about two paces, and shoved both hands in her pocket. With just a lift of a leg the doors blew inward and slammed into the wall opposite of where she stood.
"I sensed a fight," Aquara said loudly, brimming with confidence. "Care if I join in?"
In the light, she was wearing a drenched trenchcoat and had her hands buried inside of the big pockets on either side, not showing any signs of what kind of clothes were apparent underneath, besides her sneakers. There was nothing special about the sneakers to the untrained eye, but when looked at carefully it seemed that she received the trendy footwear off of a fan website. They looked exactly like Tifa's from the infamous game of FF7.

Achenes rode the force of the blow, regaining her balance right before it struck. Still taking a decent impact from the shot, she met Zabuza’s shoulder charge by throwing a vicious elbow at the back of his head while the powerful attack knocked her off balance.
“There’s still this option!” Achenes shouted as he encircled her, throwing her arms around the back of his neck in what appeared to be an embrace and pulling herself in close to him, which diminished the force from the shot to her back. Taking advantage of her small size, she wrapped her legs around his waist, tucking in as close as possible to him, and then smashing into his face with a headbutt that shattered her visor.
It was at that moment that Aquara caused severe damage to the dojo’s doorway, catching the attention of both combatants despite their battle. Achenes released her grip, dropping to the floor, and turning to face the new challenger.
“Shoulda known. No way two people can fight this intensely without drawing the attention of SOMEBODY,” Achenes smirked, wiping the blood from above her eyes with her sleeve. The cuts her last attack had left her with would be inconvenient, but she had dealt with worse before.
“So, how about it, Zabuza? Think that we should let her join in on the festivities?”

Zabuza massaged his temple absently, looking over the newcomer and at his opponent. She didn't really weigh enough to make a headbutt effective. "I dunno, I'm having enough trouble with just you. You've even forced me to use techniques that are imperfect," he said, showing his his arms and fists. They'd actually been somewhat scorched by the attacks he'd been generating.
He looked over Aquara warily, and saw someone with bright light in her eyes. But behind that was a deep fog that eclipsed even the young tomboy fighter's street-smart experience. "I think I'll pass actually, I'm already tired, and I get the feeling she'd annihilate me even if I was fresh." He scratched his head. "Still, think you could at least introduce yourself before causing major property damage?" he asked the young lady.

Aquara chuckled at the gesture from Zabuza, "Silly boy, you can join when you like, a good fighter never gives up a good fight." Aquara took a few steps forward and examined Achenes.
"Hmm," Aquara said, measuring her opponent, "I can tell that you're going to be slightly more difficult to defeat. Please, take this as a token of your training." Aquara ended running at Achenes full tilt, her arms trailing behind her. Aquara swung her leg into what looked like a roundhouse kick, but feinted, purposively missing! "I know you can dodge the blunt of the blow, but can you dodge even the massive force of air that I am sending?" As Aquara landed on the ball of her foot and the spin of her kick, she used the momentum of the previous attack to shove the other leg into a powerhouse of a kick that went not in a vertical, or even a horizontal direction, but a direct force aimed for the gut. She followed up bending her knee, lifting and diverting the direction to the bottom of the chin, doing a full flip, and landing facing the opposite direction that she was previously facing. After the attack was finished, she turned her head slightly so that she could see behind her, to see what the aftermath of her attack had caused.
