It does gain intensity, in exchange for losing the normal pacing. The only intensity gained would be people intensely whinin' that they weren't going to be available at the appointed time.

Ok, I read the whole topic, and I'm with Pohatu on this one.

"if it aint broke, dont fix it"
i really liked posting then randomly checking back in and i was hella excited that i managed to post first by sheer luck that one time. plus, i think that if u time the laps, everyone will be posting at once and there wont be any flow to the race, ull just have a mash of random posts all at once and no conversation, and the conversation was the best part of the race in my opinion, twas hilarious.
then again im new here and dont know much... *shrug* but thats how i see things...

maybe you should just make a new game then it'd actually be a new idea that we could be open to

THANKS GUYS IM GLAD EVERYONE HERE HAS A BROAD OPEN MIND TO NEW IDEAS Okay, I may just be being really conservative about the Post Race spirit but I think Blood and Cat have both brought up totally objective arguments against the scheduled laps idea, and it's not exactly fair of you to write them off like that. And V101 has a point as well.

Very well. The leniency is out, but I will still schedule a time thats acceptable for all time zones. Your connection is too slow? Too bad. Get a faster connection or don't sign up.

Ok, I guess that f*cks me up the ass for the race... My connection is officially 52Mbps, but in reality is lucky to get 0.5Mbps and actually is slower than your common dial-up connection.
*forsees crashing on the first lap* wheeeeeeeee

To be completely honest, I think that the scheduled laps are completely unnecessary. The random laps have never caused a problem before, and even if they did, no one's ever gotten upset about it. (But seriously, I don't think it's been a problem. I mean, Kuro won Post Race I while he was deployed. And he was riding a tortoise.)
And nix the trivia. This is Post Race, not Who Wants to be an EP-naire.
Also, not gonna lie, I'm a little disappointed to see that this post race is still subtitled "Because I Am Better Than BloodWolf." Come on now. =/

This is still the topic, not the actual race though.

That is almost entirely beside the point. The point is that this is *not* "Post Race III: Because Loogs is Better Than BloodWolf," it's "Post Race III: I Have Some New Ideas," or "Post Race III: The Current Subtitle Comes Across as Unabatedly Immature but SV Knows Loogie is Better Than That."

Well, I don't like the name, but it's a tad bit late in the game now. Speaking the game, I'm wondering when this will even begin.

Wrong. I'm not joining this one purely because the title is petty, though par for the course.

Isn't not joining something because it has a petty title also a petty act of sorts?

Yes. We are all better than BloodWolf. BloodWolf sucks. Let's kick him/her in the face.

I'm hoping that my act of only slightly less pettiness would inspire some kind of maturity in Steph, though I'm not hopeful.

Nice show of I Am Afraid Of Changes So I'll Reject Any New Ideas there.
I mean, I was all excited to try something new and make things cool but everyone was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" so I can't do anything but not change anything and run it the same way we have been running it. I'm sure at least one of you can identify AMIRITE GUYS

Run it how you want it! Run it how you want it. Create alternatives. Let the free market decide.
We shouldn't be confined to only one version of the Post Race. All I've been saying is I don't think your scheduled lap time idea is going to make for an enjoyable Post Race in the way that the first two were enjoyable. But you can't prove me either wrong or right without running it.
