OOC: Take 2, Forces versus Powers. Last time this involved James and a very few escaped others, no idea how it'll go this time, but I feel like biting Lee for hitting the reset button.
BIC: Five years ago, when he was only 15 years old, APCARP had found him, subdued him, and given him a code name. Due to the nature of his Power, he was not granted any of the normal considerations given one in his position. His opinion was sought on nothing, he was immidiately imprisoned without discussion. His code name was Black Sky, his ability was extreme and nearly uncontrollable subspace manipulation.
To APCARP, this made him a dangerous and uncontrollable weapon, a doomsday device only to be unleashed in the most dire of situations.
To the lamen, his ability was explained more simply.
He possessed the capacity to generate black holes. Most were very, very small, only capable of hurting those in direct proximity, with barely the gravity of a large asteroid, and harm coming only from contact with the singularity itself. But time spirals to a standstill at that centerpoint, giving the black hole practically eternity to eat away at you from the inside.
But that wasn't the main problem, that wasn't what made him so dangerous in their eye's. Indeed, a black hole of substantial threat would take a great deal of time and effort on Black Sky's part. No, what concerned them was his polar opposite ability, the opposite end of the spectrum.
Black Sky could also generate white holes, pockets of infinity energy, spewing radiation across the spectrum, from gamma rays to bolts of lightning and everything imaginable. A small black hole, that was practically a none issue, it cannot self sustain due to its lack of gravity, it'll pucker out quickly enough. But a white hole, no matter the size, will continue depositing energy for eternity. The cumulative effect could cause the total annihilation of the planet Earth.
The time of total destruction was estimated to be somewhat over 500 years, Black Sky never understood what the hell they were bitching about. Small white holes made good matches, but it wasn't like he left them lying around. He was still angry over his capture, all this fuss because he lit a cigarette with a small white hole.
Well, in any case, now has was boned. Chained motionless, even his fingers individually chained to the wall, surrounded by some kind of weird power suppressing field. He'd been trying to get out for ages, be the worst he could do was smash the security camera's. He couldn't kill the people who came in, because they wouldn't come to clean up the mess, and he wouldn't get fed. He'd tried that, once, and had to endure the stench of rotting meat for months afterwards.
They came inside wearing hasmat suits, with food, shaking their heads at him.
He really was getting tired of it.
The only advantage he had, for the moment, was one chain. It was finally coming loose from the wall, after five years and probably growing at least a foot. If he could get that one chain free, he could actually do more than direct the smallest of black holes. He could create something with enough power to rip through the chains, and get him the hell out of here. It was all a game of patience, freedom comes with a price.
He'd been chanting that for nearly the whole five years of his imprisonment. He was almost certain he was crazy, being imprisoned in a totally sightless, soundless room. It took a will to be able to bring himself to care for anything anymore, even his own escape. There was just some vague sense it was important.

There! It had come free, his index finger could move again. He smiled slightly, pointing his index finger at the chain binding his middle finger.
Clink!
A second chain came free, he could hear drops of water on the ground now, and knew it was his own sweat. The lazy guards would surely look at the screens soon, and realize what was going on.
With great effort, he pointed his index and middle finger at his thumb, another sharp sound of jiggling chain found he free of that as well. With his thumb free, he cut the chains remaining on his two fingers, then twisted in his cuff and freed his arm.
With a swing of his arm, he cut himself from the remaining chains. He couldn't free himself from the steel helmet that was bolted to his skull, but he had learned, in his confinement, to sort of since how gravity worked. And so, though he couldn't perceive color, he still knew shape and form, body and brick.
Black Sky raised his hand, pointing it at the dark matter walls. A small black hole they could stop, sure, but the real thing?
A rip opened over Black Sky's hand, in the atmosphere, it sounded like a scream, and endless scream of ever increasing volume. It quickly escalated to the point where the base didn't even need alarms, everyone knew he was free. He launched the black hole at the wall, imploding half of it into oblivion, and walked out into the lighted hallways.
____
Jason huddled down and covered his ears when the scream started up, but it soon became pointless. He took his hands away, covered in blood, deaf. He looked around, and quickly grabbed his gun. A dull rumble caught his attention, and he turned around.
There was a giant hole in the wall, and out of the swirling dust walked a naked man, somewhat malnourished and skinny, with a metal helmet bolted to his head, leaving only his mouth exposed. A large red S was engraved in glaring red into the helmet, and above that, 'Black Sky' written in elegant cursive.
The figure wore an insane smile, and appeared to be laughing. Jason tried to speak, to curse, to express his fear, but it was no use. He was frozen, taken in by Black Sky's ability. A singularity hovered over his finger, about the size of a penny. No blackness around it, though the lighting was dimming.
But outside, Jason knew the sky had already turned black.
The malnourished figure turned to look at him, and he raised his gun in reflex, firing blindly. It wasn't any use however, it was far to late. Black Sky was already behind him, had walked back him, even before he'd raised his gun. Jason looked over his shoulder at Black Sky, with terrified eye's, and so saw his lips form the words. "You did not imprison me, live." And then he calmly walked away.
Jason collapsed when he was finally free of Black Sky's slowing influence on time, and picked up his radio with shaking hands.
"To all APCARP Powers on base, to any military or CIA agents who can hear this, Black Sky has escaped."
