"So, what exactly are we here to attend to, anywho?" The shelled man asked his companion, a girl that despite her slight build, still managed to tower over him by a few feet of height.
"Revenge, I guess you could say," The girl raised her forearm, brushing the sweat away from her brow with the sleeve of her undershirt. A gust of wind brushed her strawberry blonde locks out of her face.
"And you think that this'll be quite enough to achieve that?"
"Apollo, we're going to be facing down a guy that was past his prime back when the Green World incident happened. We probably can beat him down with his walker..."
"Then why are we-"
"What he did to my parents was totally unforgivable. Just because they foiled some stupid piddly little plan of his, he engineered a virus specifically to kill both of them," She held up her hand before her, balling it into a fist.
"That was ten years ago, Ariadne."
"Doesn't matter. If anything, that's more reason for me to be here. Do you have any idea what it's like for a five year old girl, to lose her family?"
"I suppose that I don't..." Apollo adjusted the two sheaths strapped to his back, each clearly holding blades that were proportionally enourmous.
"It sucks, quite bluntly... I know that my foster mother's a good woman, and she did everything she could to make my life good, but that doesn't change anything when it comes to this fellow. Killing somebody in battle, or while fleeing from them? That's this world. That happens... Tailor making something just to murder somebody, and lacing their home with it? That's just pure, unadulterated evil," Ariadne moved her hand so quickly that it became a blur, even to Apollo's trained eye. The sand dune in front of them exploded into a massive cloud, and was caught on the wind.
"And we're going to crush it."
OOC: Decided to make the fic that FRP originally came from into an RP. Three little details: -Characters in this should be descendants of ORP/PRP characters. -High Low, to Low High power levels. -A lot will take place in a building, so Mecha/Summon users will be SOL.

Landers waited for the sand in the air to clear out before going back to surveying the area surrounding them. Aside from the sand dunes and the sky, there was nothing to be seen for miles.
"Well, it doesn't look like there's anyone coming to interrupt your revenge Ariadne. Then again we're in the middle of the Sahara, I doubt there'll be anyone coming our way at all." Landers surveyed the area quickly one more time before turning to face Apollo and Ariadne.
"I hope you're prepared to face the consequences of this."
Landers leaned back against the sand dune and pulled his rifle close. Although antique by today's standards, it had thus far served him well. At least as well as it had served his father during his mercenary days.
"Much longer out here and I'm going to start boiling away" he said, as he brushed his blue hair over to shield his sun from the eyes.

Raizen dislodged some sand from the top of the dune, showering Landers with it. "Wrong on two counts, you will run into people out here, and you won't boil to death." He said, sliding down the dune, and propping himself up beside Landers on his high tech railgun. Really it was just a boxy rifle. "The nomads currently surrounding it are few and friendly, so no worries about getting hacked up." Raizen said, looking around. "I'm Raizen, who the hell are you people, and what the hell are you doing wandering around the middle of the Sahara? You got a death wish or something?" He asked, grinning.
"And before you ask similar, I'm a demon, the environment doesn't bother me. Actually, it kind of reminds me of home, which is why I'm hanging around here at the moment." He sifted through some of the sand with his fingers, a curious expression on his face. "Though, I admit, its nice not to have to worry about Arcana Storms."

A woman appeared over a far dune, her hair long, light blue, fading into a much darker blue at the tips, very wild, messy, and thrown into a pony tail. "OI!" She screamed, finally seeing someone other than herself out here in the middle of the desert. She hopped down, her short skirt staying, surprisingly, in place. Meeting up with the other seemingly lost crew, she dusted herself off, and introduced herself, "My name is Misu Kaelin, but you guys can call me Kaelin..."
Upon closer inspection her fashion sense was that of a young female punk.... her shirt read the words 'rock' on it, though a v-neck, cut down lower than it was supposed to, showed quite a bit of cleavage for her endowments. She had a short red and black plaid skirt on, with a belt just hanging out on her waist slightly loosened to give a crooked kind of appearance. Finally, fishnet stockings and large knee high boots with lace all the way down to the laces, pink ribbons billowing on either side of the top of her boots finished her outfit. (REFER TO MY ART SECTION FOR ACCURATE VISUALS!)
"Oh! Ariadne! Apollo!" Kaelin said excitedly, "I didn't think I would see you guys out here! I didn't recognize you from way back there..." Kaelin said scratching the back of her head with a hint of guilt. She checked both of her Sai on other side of her hip for security, and she pulled out her crystal blue necklace, "I still have to find a summon... Dad has been hounding me to get one... so he sent me here to take the heat and practice my Water magic conjuring skills in a place where there is no water..."

Apollo simply smirked as the new fellow appeared, casting a glance at Landers.
"Besides, with my magic, the heat is the least of our worries. Once we get a better idea of the terrain and the threats around here, I can throw up a veil to make the sun's radiance more gentle on us..." He nodded towards Raizen, "Not that some of us particularly would care for such a thing."
"As for your question," Ariadne raised a petite hand, to catch the demonspawn's attention, "Well, yes, we do have a death wish. But it's not for ourselves..."
She noted a raised eyebrow, considered stopping before being thought a loon, and then decided to go ahead with revealing their purpose. If he kept hanging around, he'd find out anyways, and it'd be better to forewarn him.
"I'm on a mission to avenge my mother and father..."
"As you well know, must truly evil beings in recent times have either moved offworld, to other planes and planets, or have taken up hiding in the few remaining deserts on earth. The bastard that assassinated my parents is one of those, hiding out somewhere here like some kind of sand rat."
"We're here looking for clues on exactly where this fellow is hiding," Apollo said quickly, cutting off Ariadne's increasingly grim tone.
"And when we do find out, we're going to flush this monster out, and destroy-" She was cut off this time by the Trevelyan girl.
"Oh, hey!" Apollo waved emphatically, the best that a Noki could to draw attention to themselves.
"I'm guessing that though you didn't expect us, you already know why we're here, right?" Ariadne grumbled.
"We're pretty much all old acquaintances here, Mr. Raizen," Apollo noted, "Ariadne is the foster child of one of Misu's father's closest friends, who happens to be close friends with my mother and father. And Landers? Well, his father and Misu's ran into eachother during some giant robot monster conflict thing or other, and Ariadne's real mother was a pilot that encountered him a few times, so that's the links there."
"Sooo, my lesser in magic-"
"But better in arms," Ariadne said, deflating Apollo's pride in revenge for his undercutting of her gloom earlier.
"Yes, that too... Well, she's here. Good to see you, Kaelin," He bowed almost comically, fighting the weight of his swords and his armored shell to maintain his balance.
"You're remembering to use the water from your own cells to seed the reaction, right? If you're trying to spontaneously conjure water in an area like this, it's tricky doing it without a foundation," Apollo fell into step beside Kaelin, clearly more at home talking with her than the others.

"Ya know, I'm never going to be able to understand how you can do that. Or even remember that you CAN do that." said Landers as he shook some sand out of his hair.
"As to you" he said turning to Raizen "was it really necessary to dump all that sand in my hair?"
At the sight of Kaelin though, he paused, taken somewhat aback by the sudden appearance of two more people, neither of whom he had seen coming.
"I would have to be this wrong wouldn't I? Ariadne, you sure that this old guy isn't having a birthday party or something? Cause I'd like to know who else we should expect to show up."

"Of course!" Kaelin said guiltily to Apollo, "When I am in a really bad pinch, it will hit me...." She laughed nervously, not even thinking about using matter from her own cells as a source for water.
Kaelin yawned, her playful nature exposing itself, "Well, guys, it certainly is hot out here..." She flicker her wrist and a series of tiny spritz of water wetting her face, cooling her off. "It seems that I won't be of much help if conflict happens, I have to use a lot of energy just conjure a glass of water, let alone fight anything out here, but" She said aiming this next comment to Apollo, "With this guys help, I should be able to do something useful!"

"You give me way too much credit, and yourself way too little. Really, with the weather like this, I'll be too busy just keeping us cool to really tap into my more powerful magics, while you still have your great swordsmanship to use," Apollo sighed slightly, and then looked up again, his beady black eyes glowing blue.
"But hey, as you did say, a bit of water magic is what I do best," He raised his hands, quickly gesturing towards Landers and Kaelin. Mists of water seeped out of the air around them, seemingly coallescing about them. The clouds shifted about unnaturally for a few moments, and then settled about their heads, barely above their eyes. A thinner mist of water circled their torsos, cooling them and shading them from the sun.
Apollo turned his attention towards Ariadne. He brought both hands forwards, his brow furrowing, and his expression intensifying. With a reticience, the mist formed about her too, moving more erratically and having trouble really hanging onto her.
"That better?" Apollo put his hands on his own chest, the cloak of droplets instantly exploding into the air around him.
"I think he should be alone. Most of his allies were killed by our family and friends, or abandoned his cause. Nobody's seen anybody else go into the desert after him, or anything suspicious like that. So we should have him handily outnumbered," Ariadne waved a hand to brush a few strands of hair out of her face, the mist recoiling instantly. As her hand fell, it crept back into place.

"Yeah, thanks Apollo." Landers said while adjusting his position so that the mist could work it's way around him better. He attempted brush some more of the sand out of his hair, then exhaled deeply.
"It still is possible that we missed something. Could have an old friend in there that's been with him all this time, sentry turrets, drones. Ariadne, I'll admit that I wasn't listening when you were talking about him but, I doubt that he's lived the life you said he has but left himself completely unprotected in there." He briefly examined a few grenades that he kept in his pack, and then checked his gun's charge.
"By the way," he said, turning towards his teammates. "How much longer are we going to sit here anyway?"

Raizen shook his head at the randomness of the proceedings, still used to much more orderly deployment of forces, even smalls ones. It seemed to him that, thought the group knew each other well, they didn't know how to really work together.
"Well, revenge is certainly something I can appericiate where I come from, the world is a little bit more.... Instinctual, there. Though I wouldn't nessisarily say that makes me evil," He said, directing a pointed look and a smirk at the revenging young lady. "However, for the moment I believe I'll accompany you. My father is aquainted with a few of yours as well, and I believe he'd be quite upset if one of you were to die and sadden his friends." Raizen said, gesturing to Kaelin, and a few of the others.
"Also, I believe I can do something about him detecting us. Please, try not to be afraid, this may be intimidating, but my father can be so much more." Raizen said wistfully, and with sudden, quick wrenching motions from inside his body, stretching him out larger with sickening popping noises, Raizen slowly took on the form of a large bronze dragon.
Nearly two hundred meters long, with a wingspan almost half again that, he actually blended in quite well with the desert landscape. He stretches his jaw, expelling some of the gritty carbon the body produced as a ranged weapon.
"Ahem," He coughed, in a much deeper, more gravelly voice. "Apologies, but bronze dragon's are actually fond of the Sahara, if you stay near me, under my wings, we should cause no alarm." He said, and extended his wings as though fanning them in the sun. He tapped one of his claws, and turned his long neck around to look at Ariadna. "Which way from here?" He asked, trying to avoid breathing on her.

OOC: Dudes, just for the record, this guy is a shapeshifter. And I mean a true shapeshifter, his features will change slightly every time he returns to his human form. So...don't be to surprised when he changes into something random. Like a cat with a gun on its back, or returns to human form with 4 arms. Or turns his arm into a shield, or sprouts wings. Its his shtick.

"Okay, okay. I'll admit it. He might have some buddies with him or something. But now there's almost a half dozen of us, and we're all not too shabby in a fight, as far as I can tell." She patted a tree trunk of a leg.
"This new guy proved himself pretty quickly, really." Apollo said with a smirk, the cloud about him ticking upwards to match the gesture. He jumped up, taking hold of one of the legs, and then did three swift gestures. Two bars of ice attached themselves to the massive scales, and a third formed between them, creating a handle.
"What're you up to?" Ariadne squinted at the Noki.
"It's fastest this way. You guys can walk pretty well, but my legs are about a quarter as long as a human's are. I have to run my shell off to even stay near you all."
"So you'll be riding the rest of the way?"
"If you'd ever tell mister dragon which way the way was, probably yes."
"Oh. ****. Sorry!" Ariande turned to face Raizen, who had been waiting with a patient, albeit exasperated expression.
"North west, roughly. There wasn't an exact figure given by the people we asked, just a direction, and an estimate. Something like twenty miles from here, give or take." Ariadne's blush was very evident, the red reflecting in the mist that surrounded her. On the bright side, if this fellow truly had shifted all the way into a dragon, he'd probably have a magnetic compass in his mind. That'd be a great aid to their navigation.

"Have fun with that. I'll keep my feet on the ground." said Landers, who was feeling apprehensive about going anywhere with a dragon, real or fake. Thus far he wasn't sure how he felt about Raizen. He seemed to want to help, but Landers didn't trust him, not yet. Despite this, he did step over to Raizen's outstretched wing and wait for the rest of his team.
