The Yardic house had remained empty since Rick had moved out. The only son of Sly had gone to live in Shin-Ra, with other mages like himself. Mew, the once-inseparable companion of Sly, seemingly disappeared without a trace. Now only the house remained. Though the ‘For Sale’ sign had been up for quite some time, no one had even so much as considered buying the place. It was as if the house didn’t want to be sold, as if it knew something the rest of the world didn’t.
The sound of someone trying to open the back door flooded the empty house. The knob jiggled a few times before the door was finally forced open. A long slender leg, similar to a deer’s, stepped over the threshold and into the house. The rest of the body that followed was also similar to a deer’s, except covered in short blue fur. Where the neck should have been was the upper body of a man, also covered in blue fur, giving a centaur-like appearance. The centaur’s arms were slightly longer than normal human arms and had seven fingers on each hand. His head didn’t look any more normal than the rest of his body. The creature had no mouth, his ears were pointed, and the only sign of a nose was three vertical slits in his face. His eyes were almond-shaped and at the top of his head rose two stalks, both about 10 inches long. At the end of each stalk was an eye. They turned this way and that, allowing the creature to see in 360 degrees. All four of his eyes were green.
But the most prominent feature of this creature was his tail. It resembled more of a whip than a tail and was twice the length of his body. At the end was a blade made of bone, which curved into a lethal scythe. A tuft of fur hung loosely from the very end of the tail. The tail moved through the air like a snake. It was elegant and deadly at the same time. The creature was called an Andalite. More importantly, his name was Sly.
He looked around the house; though it was hard to tell without a mouth, his face seemed contorted in surprise. Where was everyone and everything? The last thing he could remember was fighting the Kul'Tathen. Koji had managed to catch Sly off guard and pointed a shotgun right at Sly’s neck. The only thing he could remember after Koji had pulled the trigger was waking up a few moments ago in the backyard. Sly needed to know what was going on. He felt weaker than he remembered and he felt his cognitive powers were more limited, like when he was a child. He reached out with his mind the best he could, <Rick! Mew! Ally! Zeb! Ender! Jeffery! Venasaur! Can any of you hear me? What’s going on?>
OOC- What can I say, I’m weak. I needed my main char back lol. I can’t remember how the Kul spelt their name so I did the best I could. Well, who wants to play?

"Holy shit monkey whores..." Ender said. His voice had appeared before his body had fully teleported next to Sly. "You... were dead."
Ender pushed up his shades. "So no," he grinned, "I can't explain what's going on."

The two inside the house heard a rustle from the bushes, located in the back yard. "Did you hear that?" questioned Ender.
"Yeah it came from the back yard. We should go to check it out." While walking out the front door, a shadowy figure emerged from the bushes and began to moan in a zombie like fashion.
"What the hell is that!" bellowed Ender. Unable to decipher the creature the duo prepared themselves for battle.
The shadowy figure continued in the direction of the two, when a gleam of light was cast over the creatures body from a near by street lamp. It revealed a drunk, scruffy looking man, with two battle axes hanging from his side, and a golden medallion around his neck.
The man muttered something to himself. He then vomited violently and shouted, "Give me back my mustache!" After which, he promptly passed out at the feet of the two standing before him.
"Maybe we should take him in? He looks kind of sickly." said Ender. On a normal day Sly would have immediately declined, but considering his forgetful, and unsure state, he agreed with Ender, in the off chance this strange man was in someway one of his friends, and/or a powerful ally.
"Yes, let us bring him inside. Maybe he can assist in answering some of my questions..."Edit: Directors cut--it didnt happen OOC: Exessive autoing pope! Please, in the future try to refrain from controlling others characters. Or, if you must, ask permission before you do so. XD I'm sorry. I figured, that since it was a pregame thing and I really wasn't affecting the plot in any way, other than introducing my character, that it would be OK. My apologies. OOC: Well, autoing also includes conversating, unless you know the character really well. Ender doesn't react like that at all, to say the least. And Sly doesn't... speak... And plus, Ender breaks the rules and knows everything that is happening. O.O

OOC - *Aneurysm* OMG! Wow… ummmm…. What they said… Also, I think you should delete that post and try again… with maybe no autoing… possibly…. Wow…
For those who don’t know an Aneurysm is when a blood vessel in your head just pops for now reason and you die. Pope gave me an Aneurysm… lol
BIC-
<Dead?!> Disbelief flooded Sly, but Ender had no reason to lie to him. Sly racked his brain, not hiding his thought process from Ender. It would be easier for the fellow telepath to help him if Sly didn’t have to explain what he was thinking. The last thing he could remember was that battle with the Kul. It had taken place in winter. A quick swivel of his left stalk-eye gave him a clear view out the back door. There was a little bit of snow on the ground. Maybe it had only been a month since the battle, unless…
Sly concentrated on the chip in his head; he needed to access the absolute time feature, something he hadn’t had to do consciously in quite some time. What was wrong with him, his muscles were weaker, his telepathic abilities limited, and even his thought process seemed slow… as if he hadn’t used them in months. He found the chip, but there was something wrong, the language circuit seemed okay, but the rest of the chip was dead. The chip got its power from the brain; the only way it could die was if there had been no brain activity in quite some time.
<Ender… when was the battle with Kul’Tathen? And… did I die during that battle?> Sly's tail hung low to the ground, he had a feeling he wasn’t going to like the answer very much.

"A year, give or take..." Ender said slowly. "And yeah... you did. At least, according to Rick's memories you did." With that, Ender started manipulating Sly's surface thoughts, creating the image of a memory. The memory was straight through the psionic's eyes, so every eye blink and sideways glance was there. The group was in Sly's lab. Rick was in some sort of contraption, and his memories were projected outwards, displaying the grisly events that happened. OOC: Heh, shizah, can't remember what happened

OOC- Um ch00bs... the Kul battle was a lot longer ago than that. It was well before the move to these boards... I tried to find the topic but the Pokeschool boards must have done there switch to tcg player right after it happened... Cobra was in it, the battle where Sly Ascended?
Lee, you remeber it don't you? Karson(RedDragon) and floating fortress?

OOC: Well then... so much for Ender's steel trap memory... >.> But hey, you don't even remember the Kul's real name. And you're the one who wrote it. But like, the last time I remember Sly dying was that one time with stuff. This is what you get for letting me drive the action of a plot I have no idea of which is going on. And now look, I can't even speak proper engrish. Really you brought this upon yourself.

OOC- Ok a quick explanation is in order. The last time Sly died he was ascended. That was in my first topic on these boards. Back when we were still on the Pokeschool Boards Sly died in a battle with the Kul. Kul was created and lead by Karson(reddragon). When Sly died in that battle he ascended and became a more human looking entity. Sly's memory is gone all the way from right before he ascended (two deaths ago).... He has now miracoulsy reapeared in natural form and in semi-good health....
You can either pretend you remeber what happened to Sly or we can wait for Lee.... lol

After having a nice drink from the local tavern, Onslow decided he would take a nice little fly around the town before heading back to his cardboard box. While doing so he accidental hit a bird and began an uncontrollable spiral downwards. Crashing through the rough of an old, broken down house, Onslow hit the ground with a hard thud.
"Ouch...that didn't go the way I planned." Looking up, Onslow observed two intimidating figures standing only feet away from him. Both were staring in his direction with a piercing gaze.
"Umm... Hello. Fancy meeting you two in here. Umm... I can explain... I'll pay for that..."

Ender subtly nudged his trademark reflective shades down his nose with a puff of psionic energy so he could look over them at the newcomer. In different circumstances, he would have laughed at the man, but given the grave situation, the thought didn't even cross his mind. The man didn't seem very threatening, so his body position stayed in its relaxed position.
"Don't worry about money." He shrugged.

"Yeah, not a problem," Prime said, appearing in a flash of flame. Then he coughed and hacked for a moment, before regaining his composure. "I swear, I'll never get used to Phoenix Teleportation," he said, then looked at the house. He raised his hand, and tendrils of white energy lanced out, quickly lifted broken bits into the correct position, and mending them. In a moment, the house looked like new. Prime turned back to Ender, "Hey!" he said brightly. "Hope you don't mind, but I sensed your teleport, and I was oh-so-slightly dying of boredom. Thought I'd come check out what you've been up to." He nodded to the alien centaur, and offered his hand to shake.

OOC: Yeah, the Kul'Tathen battle. Where Bagan got owned twice (Once in its normal form by Zebby's best attack, and once in Reijuu by Ascended Sly.) Basically, another case where Cherrygrove had too much oomph even for a group of godlike supervillains... We've got a case of that second only to the Waterflower alliance, which had most of us, PLUS two SSJ2+ Saiyans, a light being, and a Planeswalker/four.
Actual post some time in the next 32 hours or such.

Seeing the great power of the two individuals that stood before him, and the newly arrived creature, Onslow thought to himself that he might be able to obtain the same status as them, or at least raise his power status. "Thank you for your generosity. However, I feel inclined to help assist you in some way. It appears to me that you are in a predicament. I insist that I come along with you and assist in any way I can."
Turing to Sly. "I will serve you in any way possible...master." Onslow bowed as low as his body would allow, raising his hands in a folded fashion. "Make me powerful like yourself."

Sly was trying to make sense of the images that Ender was showing him when they were interrupted by a man falling through the roof and another teleporting right in front of them. Obviously one of them knew Ender, as he addressed him by name. The man extended his hand, a form of human greeting. Sly took the hand and shook it. The other man, a little odder, knelt down in front of Sly and referred to him as ‘Master’. He gave Ender a quizzical look before turning back to the newcomers.
<Thank you both. I’m afraid we don’t have time for proper introductions. You may both call me Sly.> Sly thought-spoke to the two of them. He turned to Ender, <I will have a better idea of what’s going on once this chip has been switched with a new one. I hope that my lab is still in one piece. I believe the part of my lab that has that equipment is right beneath the town hall. It would take too long to walk there and I seem to be without my teleport watch. Ender, you know my lab pretty well, could you take us there?> Sly looked back at the other two people. <I would ask that while we are down in my lab, both of you clear your minds and not think about any of the devices. Many of the things down there are activated by thought and some of them we do not want to turn on.>
OOC:... Hurry up Lee

Ender's face was stone still when Onslow bowed. He would've laughed, but he had the ultimate poker face due to the fact that he could control the processes in his brain down to the chemical flow. Just to be polite, he had turned off the reflex to laugh.
"Sure thing, Sly," he said in a flat voice. The psionic reached into his pocket for the bottle of extra-strength aspirin he always carried with him, popping two into his mouth in preparation for the massive headache he would have after teleporting several people such a distance.
Ender focused on everyone's mental signatures, memorizing them easily, then quickly cast his mind's eye into the lab and to the destination. All this in a blink of an eye, then the group had disappeared from the yard. A moment later, they reappeared inside Sly's lab, the lights off because Ender and Nat never really got this far. The psionic massaged his temples.

OOC- There is going to be a minor auto here so I’m giving you fair warning. Its purpose is to keep the topic moving.
Also, ch00bs I didn’t think of it until I was typing it but I want to make sure that you know never to block Sly from feeling emotions or pain. It’s ok if you do it to Rick, but Sly has that whole Andalite honor warriror code thingy… You know what I mean lol. It’s ok if you project thoughts like earlier or that kind of stuff. Creating memories… all that stuff is fine.
BIC- The lights came on with a mere thought from Sly, revealing what was most likely the largest assortment of advanced technology anywhere on the earth. It was impossible to see the end of the lab in any direction due to the curve of the earth. As far as the eye could see were shelves, desks, and work benches with the most amazing tools and objects. The lab was too large be thoroughly explored in a single day, it stretched out far past the boundaries of the town it was hidden under.
Sly looked around for a moment before finding what he was looking for. He picked up a metal tube, a little longer than the length of his arm. At one end was a button, the other an opening about an inch and a half in diameter. Sly kept his eyes on Ender while one stalk-eye faced Prime and the other faced Onslow.
<All right, this part is going to be rather painful. Ender, I won't be able to reach the button at the end so you’ll have to press and hold it until you feel the button try to eject, then let go. You two,> he directed towards Prime and Onslow, <will need to hold my tail and keep me from striking anything when the chip attaches to the nerve.>
Prime and Onslow both grasped to the tail and held firmly, Sly pressed the opened part of the tube against his forehead and grasped it with both hands. Ender reached up and pressed the button firmly and held it down. The device hummed for a second and Sly closed his eyes, clearing his mind of any thoughts. The device surged to life and the sound of flesh tearing replaced the melodic hum. Sly’s face contorted somewhat, but he never cried out in pain. When the device hit the nerve his tail began jerking violently, lifting Onslow a few feet off the ground, but it didn’t take them long to wrestle the tail down to the ground.
When it was finally over Sly pulled the device away from his head to reveal a circle of torn flesh and purple blood. Reaching into a desk drawer next to him, he pulled out a small bottle of clear liquid. He poured it onto the wound and instantaneously the flesh mended and sealed back as if nothing had happened. <Phoenix tears, such a curious substance. Even science can’t explain their healing properties.> Sly said as he discarded the bottle.
Sly was starting to feel like his old self now. His mind no longer felt limited, his muscles were starting to loosen and feel their old strength once more. Most importantly the absolute time chip was now active. Sly couldn’t believe it… It had been almost two years since the battle with the Kul. Two years of his life, or death, were missing from his head. But there was something more - he could sense that a part of his mind was blocked off even from himself. That would have to be dealt with later; right now he had more questions.
<Ender? Where is everyone else? Zeb, Jeff, Ally, Venasaur, Mew, Valon, and my son… What has happened to them?>

There was the rumble of thunder, and an explosion of wind. The papers and small objects all around were scattered by the immensity of the gust, Zebedee landing on one knee with his aura fiercely whipping around. His face was grave, his eyes filled with a divine rage. He rose to his feet, gesturing. In a burst of green light, his racquet appeared in his left hand.
"What the hell is going on here?" Zebedee snarled, his voice threatening and sinister. He stared at the group, readying his racquet and focusing. "The status panels and security systems in my place are all saying that Sly is here... And that sure as heck looks like him... But we all know that he's dead in another dimension. What kind of fraud is this?"

Ender was about to respond to Sly when Zeb boomed in. "I'm... not quite sure myself..." he said to the holy warrior. He knew Zeb had reason to suspect some sort of clone. "But, er, sorry I accidentally read your memories a bit," he said to Sly. "I can tell you that the memories he had before dying are as they should be, at least according to my own memories..."

Dead in another dimension… Sly knew that Zeb, like Ender, wouldn’t lie to him. But something had happened to cause Zeb to become skeptical of Sly. There was only one thing he knew to do and he was going to have a hard time convincing Ender and Lee to agree.
<There is only one way I know of convincing you of who I am. It’s called a Mind Meld, taught to the Andalites in our early days by a race of beings called Vulcans. There are no secrets with a Mind Meld. Our memories, conscious thoughts, our pasts; everything will be revealed and for a moment our minds will be one. We will also leave an imprint on each other… And it will clear any doubts you have and hopefully answer the questions I have.> Sly said.
Zeb's aura was intense but Sly did not back away from it. He looked Zeb steadfast in the eyes with his main eyes and both stalk-eyes were on Ender. So far they were the only ones who could help him, and right now he needed them more than ever.

Prime sighed magnificently. "I have an easier, and less personal, way. If you guys don't mind?" Prime said, somewhat arrogantly, but he was getting a little tired of all the drama. "I could pull Sly's soul out of his body. His primal identity would then be known to all of us." He gave Sly a bit of a consoling look. "Because we all have things we'd rather others did not know."

"Well, I have to say..." Zebedee looked at Sly, Prime, Onslow, and Ender. "If we separate any souls, well, newly resurrected beings are finicky like that... Regardless of your control, it might kill him, or render him a vegetable. I've seen some ugly stuff happen with that before.
"I'd try probing him with holy energy, but heaven knows, no pun intended, that that's even more stress on a soul than handling it. And it would only reveal if he knew of any evil he was doing, not if he actually is our friend of long ago. So I guess that we either go super-cautious with our soul dissection, or I'll be willing to do the mind meld. If I do, Ender, keep a mental eye on him, and make sure he doesn't attempt any funny business," Zebedee stated pragmatically.

<All right,> Sly said. <This is going to be intense and if you try to fight the connection it will hurt. And it will change you.> He placed his hand on Lee's face: thumb on his chin, index next to the nose, and the last finger on Lee's temple. Sly's other four fingers curled back into his palm. <Now clear your mind. Once you do that, I want you to visualize me in your head and concentrate on that image.> Sly did the same, clearing his mind and focusing on Lee. Soon Sly began to see flashes of something. He concentrated harder.
Sly opened his eyes; he was no longer in the lab. No, he was in a forest with nine youths. The meld had worked, they were connected. The youths were moving cautiously through the trees as if they were hunting something. Sly easily picked Lee out of the group, though he was younger in this memory. The youths continued their trek until a twig snapped some distance away. The small group stood still as a low hiss began to emanate from the forest. Sly looked down and saw a large serpent coming at the back of the group. He watched as the snake propelled itself into the air and sunk its fangs into Lee's arm, tearing the flesh. Sly felt Lee’s surprise and his pain.
=Flash=
Lee was handing a beautiful redheaded girl a rose. His face was beaming and he looked happy, happier than Sly had ever seen Lee. Sly felt the muscles in his face contort into a smile, though without a mouth it was hard to tell. This was a good memory and Sly could feel the happiness Lee had experienced. The girl held the rose for a moment studying it. With a flick she cast the rose to the ground and walked away. Sly felt an odd pit in his stomach as the happiness somersaulted into sadness. Lee, heartbroken, fell to his knees and picked the rose back up. Sly wasn’t sure but he thought he saw tears fall onto the rose.
=Flash=
They were in Slateport now, fresh from being attacked by Miko and his summon. Sly remembered this very well, it had been himself that funded the rebuild of the city. Lee was comforting Thyra on a collapsed column. He didn’t say anything, he just held her and stared at the destroyed city. Sly felt remorse from Lee. He felt guilt that he couldn't stop Miko, that he was too weak to protect everybody and now someone close to him was hurt because of his weakness.
=Flash=
It was snowing. In the distance was a grand floating citadel, the Kul Citadel. This was what Sly was searching for. He looked around for himself. There - he could see Koji pointing the shotgun at Sly now. The android pulled the trigger and Sly's neck exploded. It was odd seeing one's self murdered. He could feel anger swelling inside him, but it wasn’t his own. Lee attacked Koji head on, joined by Ally. Sly watched as his own dead body was enveloped in energy. Sly's eyes grew wider when he saw the energy form into a tall slender man with angelic wings…
I... I Ascended…?
=Flash=
They were back in Sly’s lab…but it was different. Ender and Lee were there, but there were others that Sly didn’t recognize. Valon, Sly’s oldest friend, was there standing next to the rejuvenation chamber. Inside the chamber was… Rick. His son was badly hurt and looked to be in a comatose state. He could hear his son's voice though. Rick must have connected his conscious mind to one of the devices in the lab. The voice explained what had happened and who had died. Sly watched, as holographic images appeared to accompany each name. Ally, Jeffery, Venasaur, and himself… all dead.
Sly pulled his hand away, breaking the connection. A strong emotion of grief struck the Andalite. Stronger than he had ever felt before. The emotion was intense and a result of combining his mind with Lee. The Meld had merged his Andalite emotions with Human emotions, doubling the intensity. Sly found tears were beginning to cascade down his fur, soaking it. He was unable to hold back his emotions anymore. <They’re dead… All of them… dead.>

Zebedee relaxed, focused, let the images come to him. He didn't try to resist, or to hold back. Whatever Sly was to see, it was not to be any secret from him. He exhaled softly, feeling a weird sensation like a hazed-out headache... Not a pain, really, but a sort of irritation in the back of his head.
There was a brilliant flash, like something burnt straight through his mind.
Sly hearing the news of his brother's fate... The despair, hatred and disbelief easily as great as Zebedee had ever felt in his lifetime. Andalites didn't have the same faith as he had... They had an innate hope, welling up within their hearts, but no God to lean on. They had faith in something, but Zebedee wasn't in control. He only saw what Sly thought and felt, no hope of his brother's redemption.
Another explosion of light purged the thoughts from Zebedee's mind.
Two corpses, presumably a couple of some kind, were shattered and bloody, sprawled out on the cold floor of their home. Sly gingerly wiped the blood from his tail with a tatter of curtain, and discarded the scrap. A sniffling noise made him turn his stalk eyes, expecting an assault. Instead, he saw a girl, weeping into a stuffed animal, covered in the blood of her guardians. Sly felt something... A wilting inside, an insecurity, a faltering of his heart. Zebedee knew this very well. A change, fundamental and trying to the very soul, came from this emotion.
Another burst, and this time, Zebedee almost collapsed.
It was a familiar grave, even for Zebedee. Too familiar. As familiar as the taste of blood, of bile, as sorrow eating away at his heart. Acid. Zebedee, even locked in this thought, felt his body shuddering, his stomach heaving violently. Normally contained, Zebedee felt tears rolling down his cheeks. Sly's cheeks. Sly'shischeeks. Tears. That simplistic tombstone. Where somebody they all had loved was. She had been so alive... Life, fun, joy... She had been close to them. All of them. Zebedee didn't know if he could take any more of this... He felt it all at once... It was a loop. Sly's sheer crushing heartbreak at the death of his wife... His own shame and disgust about his own weakness once more, his feeling like everybody had the weight of their sorrows on his back. It didn't help that he had loved her like another mother, she and Sly a constant guiding force in his life... Amiila...
Zebedee crumpled to the floor, in a pool of vomit and blood. He had bitten a hole clean through his lip, and his fists were clenched to the point where he had put his fingernails straight into his own palms. He lay there shuddering violently, shivering as if he was freezing to death. He occasionally mouthed words, garbled nonsense and names with no faces.
