Doctor Schultz watched as the man interacted with others in the room. Before, he had been cowardly and withdrawn, but now, with a single dose of Anvictrone, he was much more confident and outgoing. He knocked on the door of the room.
"This phase of the experiment is now over. You can now leave." Doctor Schultz stepped away from the glass door to the room, taking notes on his clipboard. He then looked back to the man. As he went to open the door, it swung open instantly. The man didn't really seem surprised, mayhaps having not noticed that he didn't touch the door. Doctor Schultz chewed on his lip a little, recalling that there had been several incidents as of recent like this. People touching things without even actually touching them. -------- There was a small blue scrap of paper taped to the bulletin board in the main APCARP building. Powers milled past the board, glancing at it casually, and sometimes pausing to read the messages. The paper read: "Needed: Powers experienced in stealth, reconnaisance, and computer hacking. Any psionic would be strongly recommended, as would the Powers hired being willing to kill. Powers are to break into a compound, steal samples and information on a specified process, and then destroy all information and personnel with knowledge of information."
Pascal Tamerlane stood in front of the board, rubbing his chin and looking it over carefully.

{OOC- Lee, if I wanted to post, should I make a character bio, or can I just put one in here? Just asking before I bounce in ^^;}

OOC: Just jump in with a character idea that fits the situation. Then, if you'll use 'em again, a bio prolly should be put up.
(Lee doesn't mention that about 5% of his characters have current bios.)

Phantom looked over the notice, it sounded like his sort of thing. "With my abilities this should be no problem." He thought with a grin. (OOC: Candidate for shortest post ever? )

OOC: Nope. That'd be Kev's "alright". BIC: Pascal turned to him with a smile. "That's two of us, I guess. We'll wait for one or two more, and then we'll take this job." He rubbed his chin, thinking a little and trying to figure out if he knew anybody who could be a major help for this mission. Hopefully, somebody would turn up soon.

[OOC- Why do I get the feeling Phantom is going to have abilities my character is going to have O.o;]
'Spirit' walked almost obliviously down the hall, occasionally disappearing from sight to avoid confrontations with people he had no interest in meeting. The chance of one of the actually stopping to converse with him was low, no doubt, but then again any social acts were issues with him. Once in awhile a specifically gifted Talent would look right at him with a curious glance, but his hunched shoulders and brisk pace usually told them why he was unseen to common eye.
He halted subtly in front of the sign; he had been informed about it by none other than his rather pushy roommate, who had insisted on his looking into it. After all, an 'emotionless' guy was what they were looking for. Well...a fondness or okay outlook on the issue was fine as well, but indifference was acceptable as well. The altogether 'airy' teenager (even when he was viewable he seemed wispy, as if you could see through him if you concentrated) tried to ignore the other two compatible Talents, his eyes flicking over the posted message in a matter of seconds. A very handy talent indeed, along with the same speed and comprehension with keyboards and computers.
Voicing an inaudible sigh he shuffled over to the others, trying to avoid conversation. He wasn't in the mood (was never in the mod really) to exchange greetings and code names and biographies. He just wanted to do the job, and maybe get a bit of a boost in his rank. How he hated interactive exercises to elevate his Powers, no matter how 'useful' they were.
[OOC- I hope that was alright, I'm a bit preoccupied (watching my brother ^-^) at the moment]

Pascal smiled warmly, and went to shake hands with Spirit. When his hand was refused, he withdrew, looking a little hurt. "Well, I guess that we'll wait here for a little while longer. If nobody else turns up, I guess we'll get going."
OOC: Open for joining until Saturday night. If one more character joins or 48 hours pass without anybody joining, I'll just move things along.

Diablo looked over the sign, reading it through. "Doesn't look to bad, I had a decent bit of ninjutsu training when I was younger. And hacking has been one of my more profitable passtimes." He looked at Spirit, Pascal, and Phantom. "Not a bad team either." He said. "Any of you know how much this pays? I need specific equiptment that can withstand my talent. Its rather expensive." He said, making his way over to Pascal. "High gravity weapons are hard to come by."

"No pay specified, though I'm assuming it's pretty high. For a mission like this, it wouldn't be anything small. This is fairly high risk, not just investigative work." Pascal looked at the four. "I guess that we'll be the group. Everybody, come with me." He began walking down the hall, gesturing energetically. He took the note with him, the blue scrap of paper fluttering in his hands. They soon arrived at a dispatch room. Pascal walked up and handed the paper to an emotionless man, and then walked back to the group.
"Your mission is as follows. Infiltrate Prophet Pharmaceuticals, find all information on the creation of the drug Anvictrone. Once this is accomplished, copy all information on the creation of it, destroy the original, seize all samples of the drug in its complete and unfinished forms. And finally, dispose of anybody who would know of how to make the drug, or set up some trap to terminate them at a later date. We want to remove this drug from the market."
"Any questions?"
OOC: Yet again, will move this along shortly unless anybody needs to have questions answered.

OOC: Don't worry Yagei I'm pretty sure Phantom's powers will be different. Imagine that reality is made up of an infinite (or uncountable ) number of layers and each layer has a different property (dunno if I'm explaining this well enough for you) for example in one layer of reality time may flow faster than it would normally. Phantom has the ability to phase in to the different layers of reality. Usually the layer he ends up in is random since finding a specific layer leaves him felling pretty drained.

OOC: So basically, Spirits powers are fixed, and Phantom is like a random phaser who may get shot or may not.
BIC: "I only have one question." Diablo said. "What the hell is the pay?"

[OOC- Alright, since for some reason most of Spirit's powers are those of 'Danny Phantom'... O.o;]
Spirit remained eternally silent throughout the brief and to-the-point monologue. That was how he was, and he wordlessly praised the man for his blunt description. He could care less about the pay. It was better than sitting around forever doing nothing unless it was being forced to practice increasing the power of his...well...Powers.
His eyes shifted only marginally towards Diablo and his equally blunt, if vulgar as well, question. Nonetheless his view stayed quietly on the higher-up. Just answer so we can get out of here and get this finished, he thought impatiently.

"Your pay will be dependant upon your success. If you succeed, however, you are guaranteed at least 2000 Credits, divided at the discretion of those that undertake the mission." The attendant began firing up the teleportation pad. "I'm going to send you along now. Ready yourself, for I don't have the precision to guarantee this device won't drop you a couple inches."
The group stepped onto the teleporting pad, and Pascal focused, a metal mask sliding down from a wound in his forehead to hide his face. He wiped the blood out of the eyeholes, and turned towards Diablo. "Low gravity field when we get there, m'kay? Want a soft landing." And with that, there was a sudden change of setting as they appeared in a desolate service hallway in a deserted corner of an office building. Manifest landed lightly, claws extending from his knuckles and fingertips. Hooks sprouted from his knees, and he quickly used a paper towel to clean up the blood from the wounds. "Well, here we are, people." He whispered, and began sneaking along the hall.

"Let's get to work." Phantom said softly before heading off behind Manifest.

Diablo shrugged as he decreased the gravity around the group, then shut his power off snappish. "Where's the supply bin?" He wondered silently, then shrugged and kept in behind Pascal, levitating himself slightly off the ground, so he didn't make any noise. He flinched as Pascal's extra appendages made themselves known, looked like they bloody hurt. Oh well, didn't matter in the long run. "HEY!" A guard yelled from behind them, Diablo whipped around and found the unfortunate man within 30 meters of him, or otherwise, within her area of effect. He cranked the gravity up until the man's bones broke and his lungs collapsed. "Pathetic." He said. "Lets hope no one heard that and keep moving."

"Does anybody have nonlethal subdual powers? We want a low body count. Makes it easier on the clean-up crews." Manifest's blades met the wall, and sank in deeply. He slowly crawled up the wall, and began clambering along it sideways, staying well above the floor. As he approached the hall which they were supposed to go down, he noticed something peculiar. Red dots were shining on both walls, clearly laser devices of some kind. He hissed to draw the group's attention, and pointed out the trap.

Diablo rolled his eye's. "I may not be good with subduel, but light? That I can deal with." He whispered. He expanded his field of influence, then increased the gravity around the lasers several times, causing them to swirl around in a vortex a few centimeters from their source. This created a clear path through the security field. "I love gravity." He whispered, hovering horizontally beside Pascal.
