"Extremely interesting." Prime said slowly, then looked around at his companions. "I believe I'm going to have to look into this places history. Whatever that was, it wasn't magic. It was something else, maybe connected, but definitely not the magic that I know." Prime said, holstering the gun at his waist, where a glowing blue etherial holster had appeared for just that purpose. "But in any case, it seems to be governed by the same, basic, rules." Prime said, walking over to one of the walls and placing his hand on it. The stone melted away like water, forming a steep tunnel to the surface. He turned back to the others, "Lets get the hell out of here. And while we're at it, could you two tell me what you know about this... Well, these strangely empowered artifacts."

OOC: Lee, you should consider Dave to be a non-entity from this point on.

OOC: Why? He suffering from inflamation of the telephone again?
BIC: Leddel shrugged slightly. "Not much of a clue at all, I'm afraid. They're not exactly my strong point. They can warp and control the natural energy flow of the planet, allowing you to perform impressive feats. However, they also tend to attract beings who are naturally attuned to the ether, so unless you're pretty ballsy, you tend not to hang onto them... or live very long."

OOC: Dave has become extremely pissed at me about my April Fools joke, wherein I reversed the alphabet on the boards. Following this, I made a comment about Codie, and though he now maintains he wasn't pissed off about the joke, he maintains that the comment about Codie is the real meat of the issue, despite the fact that he was being a child long before I mention Codie. Most likely he's just using that as an excuse to ignore his own childishness, and refuse to admit he's wrong. In any case, he said he's not posting in any of my topics, and so in any topic he happens to be in with my, I'm considering his chacters null, and they're actions void. I wont delete the posts for the moment, but I may later, if I feel it has become nessisary.
BIC: "Oh, I see." Prime said calmly. He wasn't exactly scared, he'd delt with worse when he was low on power back on earth, but it might be good to avoid using these items at full strength if things like that were going to go after him. "Its probably best to use them for they're normal functions then, instead of pushing this ether to its limits. That would attract more attention I don't doubt." Prime said, "Is there anything else I should know about these things? Or is that all?" He asked patiently.

"Well, I really wouldn't know too much about them. I think that excessive use of ether can convert one into an Etherian or something like that, and that's a sort of bizarre proposition. You could say that the Ether is like a drug to them, they get addicted to it and constantly look for stronger sources like artifacts."
"It actually becomes part of them, and then they can wield it much more effectively. Heck, I use ether, however disgusting it may seem, by using ground up pieces of Etherian in my dagger..." Leddel paused, and licked his lips nervously.
"Of course, I'd say most of what I said is just heavy conjecture based on my observations. A more pressing concern for us would be finding an exit to these ruins."

Prime gestured lamely at the magical tunnel he'd just carved to the surface. "I'd say a way out isn't really a concern at this point. However, if what you just said it true, I'll have to be a lot more restrained in my use of these artifacts. It sounds as if I couldn't draw any more power than they can focus, or risk my life, or my sanity in any case." Prime said, then shrugged. "In any case, lets get out of here. I need to find a blade. Its a weapon far more suited to me anyways."
