In precisely one week's time, term ends and spring break starts. However, I'm going to be spending spring break not at home but in Italy on a concert tour with the school choir. I'm not necessarily going to have zero Internet access, but it will certainly be infrequent and unreliable enough that there's no way I can host a game during that time.
Which means: We need to wrap this game up real quick.
We're pretty clearly in the endgame by now, but if things continue at this pace we positively will not be done by the time I have to go. So I'm proposing a return to 24-hour days and nights just for the last part of this game, so we can finish in the allotted time.
What say you guys? And are there any other suggestions? I'm considering the possibility of forbidding the use of all items except extra votes for the rest of the game. Shields, freezes and resurrections slow the game down, as today's would-be execution showed.
Lemme know what you think.

24 hours would work if everyone would actually be online... I say we go for it.

I voted no but that was before I read the post ;P Yeah I guess 24 hour would be ok for the last of the game.

Er. I tried voting for 24 hours, but it didn't work. So that one.

So we've got a pretty clear majority for 24-hour days, but what say people about the item business? You guys willing to give that up for the sake of finishing this game on time?

I don't think it's fair to anyone to end items immediately. It certainly would end the game faster, but I certainly am not a fan of rule changes on the fly.

Well, I've bought out your freezes, and the extra votes are all that's left, sooo...

Doesn't stop people from using items.

I think Lee's implying that the people with items have an advantage. Banning the further use of items takes away that advantage.

Thus levelling the playing field. What's wrong with that?
Look, there are still shields, freezes and even at least one resurrection floating around in peoples' inventories right now. If people choose to use these items, that delays the game. If the game is delayed too long, I'm off to Italy and we're screwed. I can't make this any plainer.
I'm still hesitant to ban items because so few people have so far replied, but know that I'm leaning toward doing it and that if anyone has objections they need to voice them now.
