I say we get back to work on this project as soon as Mafia III finishes up. So 2010 it is then? Hey, at least then I'll have free reign over any internet I get.

Let's take a look at what's been suggested for addition to these boards, and assess what's already underway and what has yet to be implemented, as well as who's taking charge of which sections.
Here's what's already on the site...
RP Exhibit: A collection of finished RPs, edited with permission of their respective hosts. I've staked out this section.
RP Encyclopedia: All the articles from the forum's RP Encyclopedia, combined with character bios from the various RP boards, all edited for spelling, grammar and clarity. Lee created the page but I was the one to flesh it out.
Creative Writing: A collection of Fiction and Poetry pieces, edited with permission of their respective authors. I've staked out this section.
Webcomics: Archives of the various webcomics written by members of the forum. Loogs created the page but Bulbs was the one to flesh it out.
Mafia: Records of previous Mafia games and a role catalogue. I've staked out this section.
So, what other things have also been suggested in this topic? Let's take another look at them.
Bulbs suggested Reviews for books, video games, movies and TV shows, a Weekly Poll, Bulbs and Prime's MSN Talk Show, a User of the Month, an Art Gallery (which, since the creation of the Freewebs site, Loogs has expressed interest in creating and managing), a Contests page, and several F.A.Q.s pertaining to the site, to RP, and to games and contests.
Lee suggested Tutorials (for what, he didn't specify, but art and writing come to mind), a Plushie Showcase (which would presumably be a subset of the Art Gallery) and a Staff page.
Kazkame suggested a Random RP Generator, although what he means by this is unclear. If he means a page that randomly takes you to one of the finished RPs, that might not be possible with Freewebs' frame (unless we have some programmers here who know a solution). A less important point is that there just aren't enough finished RPs right now to make that too exciting. But maybe I misinterpret his suggestion.
Prime suggested a Personality Test where the results would be various familiar RP characters.
Andurin suggested parceling out some storage space for his game, if he goes open beta.
Loogs suggested Reviews for one category Bulbs overlooked -- music -- and appointed herself head of that section. She also suggested Political Editorials and Flash Games.
Bub@ suggested Pokemon articles, including a Pokemon of the Week.
***
Why do I dredge all these ideas back up? So that everyone can glance over the list and see what they might be willing to manage. Obviously, anyone on the site staff* is welcome to edit any pages on the site, but relegating each section to an individual who will be primarily responsible for that section's creation and maintenance will help a huge amount in getting this topic more and more out of the planning phase and into the doing phase.
For my part, I wouldn't mind taking up the Weekly Poll, unless anyone else really wants that one. I have access to this site virtually all the time, and I have a good head for strange questions.
*Not be confused with the forum staff. "Site staff" is just a concise, important-sounding alternative to "group of people to whom Loogs has given the keys to the Freewebs site".

I'm pretty sure I can make a thing to take one to random finished RPs in javascript without too much trouble.

I’m glad you brought these all up for discussion.
Well lets see, I have thought about the reviews section and I kind of think we shouldn’t put it on the main page. My reasons for this is that we would actually have to have people going to see all the new movies, reading all the new books, all the new music, ect. for this to work well. Since we have sections for all those things I think it would be better to post reviews and such in their appropriate forums.
I still think weekly poll is a good idea and if you want to take it then go right on ahead.
Bulbs and Prime talk show will not be happening. Mainly due to lack of ideas.
Definitely a user of the month feature. Though I don’t think it should have its own page. I think that each month the staff should vote on a user then on the Home Page we put a little article up about them and we also put them in the Billboard (that’s what I call it, the little thing that cycle through messages in-between the shoutbox and forums.) Haven’t yet figured out a good prize though EP would probably be the best.
I don’t think it should be an Art Gallery but approached more along the lines as the User of the Month.
I could take it over until such time as Loogs re-appears.
Defiantly a contest page!
Defiantly F.A.Q.s.
Everything else people said I’m good with except-
Plushie Showcase. I don’t think we have enough people making those or making them regularly. Plus we could count it as art and put it in the Art of the Month(cause I think art of the Month would be way better than an Art Gallery).
Pokemon Articles. I really don’t want to see those on the main page. We’re Exodus not Pokeschool. I am however perfectly fine with Pokemon Articles being posted in Pokemon section of the boards. I know that since we all (for the most part) came from pokeschool that Pokemon stuff is part of our ‘heritage’ but I really don’t want to see Pokemon articles as a focus of the main page.
An Idea I would like to add is an Affiliates section on the Main Page.
That my two cents.

The Prime and Bulbs talk show could accept questions emailed in or guest appearances and such.

Yeah, though I'm not sure how many people would want to Guest Appear or even want to email us questions. I mean their all waiting on Pohatu to answer their questions first.

Make a list of topics to talk about randomly for a while if you really need to. And don't make it a daily thing. Make it like once every two weeks.

Yeah every day would be rather tedious.

Personally, on the main page I would like to see a history of where we came from. I mean, there may only be a few of us left from the age of the origional Pokeschool, but it's worth recording where we came from. Think of it as a way of commerating those who came before us. We could branch it off from there and do a Site History and an RP history.
As for the reviews, I think that we need to make a board or at least a few sub-boards where we can have at least one person per section reviewing submissions from the rest of the board. Like, say we were to make a music review board and I were to head it. I would create an e-mail account just for that purpose and once a week I would pick a song or album that was e-mailed to me and suggested and review it from my standpoint. Keep in mind that I have a musical background so I might make it long winded.
Anyways, that's my set of thoughts and as always...These ideas are copywrited by DL INC.

See I was thinking that RP History and Site History could be handled in F.A.Q.

I honestly think that the F.A.Q. wouldn't do it justice. We have such a rich and long history that it would have to be watered down to be FAQ worthy.

Regarding the reviews... I don't think one person should be in charge of reviewing everything in a particular field. I think anyone should be able to review something by emailing the review to the appropriate person -- that is, whoever's in charge of the page for reviews in that field. The head of each review page should know a good bit about the field and will be expected to review many things him/herself, but should not by any means be the only one permitted to do so.

Bub@ suggested Pokemon articles, including a Pokemon of the Week. Did I? actually, I just said I used to write Pokemon articles. I know this is not a Pokemon site anymore, like Bulbs said. I never actually did suggest anything, but then again, I can write a bunch of videogame stuff, and maybe even anime. I dropped the site anyway, so I might as well continue my writing here.
