Would we include the characters of the vets who are no longer with us? And has anyone tried contacting them? I feel as though the inclusion of a main page could go a long way toward drawing vets in. Let them see all the amazing things we've been getting up to on this new forum of ours, in one tidy little package. We should send out a VetSignal once the main page is up.

About the academics thing... I'm scarily good at maths. Does that count? *differentiates a few logarithms and glares at the evil resulting graph* ... Anyway... Yes, I can work PS, I can do various tutorials if anyone wants to learn how to draw quick, basic manga, AND I know a great place that does art galleries for sites. ^^" EDIT: Ooo, can we slide one of my characters in there somewhere? So, no one's seen them for months, who cares?

For math... I enjoy hitting things with natural logs. Does that count? Literally, hitting things with logs.
Oh, differentiation joke!
So, some functions are walking down the street. It was night, so they were kinda scared of the differentiation bully, a bully who liked to randomly differentiate functions, just to torment them. So, they're almost home when the differentiation bully pounces on poor f(x) = 2, and ends up making him vanish.
"Oh teh noes!" they all scream. However, e ^ x is with them, and e ^ x is like a tank of a function, so he decides to step up and challenge the differentiation bully.
"You can't differentiate me, I'm untouchable."
"Oh yeah, well, hah!" And the differentiation bully differentiates e ^ x. When the smoke clears, e ^ x is unchanged.
"Haha! Now leave! You can't change me!"
"Oh noes! But wait!" The differentiation bully differentiates e ^ x again, and when the smoke clears, no one is there.
"Not with respect to Y, bitch!"
***
in other news, I could do a few tutorials for PS too.

Where is the best place to go for hosting it, anyways? We want something totally ad-free and unobtrusive.

I still like the idea of running it off my server. I have more than enough space, I just need to save up a little cash for a rotating IP service.

So here's a thought that struck me, a 'Contact us Email Address' for the Main Page. We could have two, maybe three people checking it and forwarding the Emails to the appropriate people. For instance if some one emails about Mafia, who ever checks and sees that Email would forward it to Pohatu. Pohatu would then answer anyquestions the person had and email them back.
Granted for something like this we would not only need a site email, but everyone working the main Page (the people doing the comics, the Reviews, and a few of the other things) would also need to make new emails so thier current accounts are not spammed with all this stuff.
I have a pretty good system in mind of how people would work the main email and keep from it from becomeing too full or people getting forwards doubled twice....
Also for the main page I think a 'F.A.Qs' For the Site, the individual RPs, and games/contests would aslo be appropriate.
And since it seems that we are starting to get a bunch of Ideas it might be wise for Lee to start handing out assignments and Finding people to be in charge of things. That way when we can bring the site up we will already have some content to start atrracting peoples.....

Yeah, e-mails for all of the seperate stuff "fiction@exodus.com", "comics@exodus.com", "Support@exodus.com", and stuff for each of us main peeps. I'm thinking we'll put Bulbs on the main page staff, now that Gil's a lot more stable and supportive of a member.

Academic stuff PSHAW. Also you and I might not be the only actors here. I'm pretty sure I heard Bulbs once talk about having acted.
You forgot Spiffy. is he really that forgettable?spiffy's an actor too....And I say I'm in charge of a Music review section And I say we also have political editorials, if anyone feels like they're up to it. And once I actually try to learn Flash, maybe a simple game would show up on it. And yeah. I'm an actress too. I'm starting off small, but I want to make it my second job. besides artist of course

I didn't intend that as a slight against Spiffy. I simply didn't know that he was also an actor.
jeez i'm not a computer people

Also, if asked to expand (x+y)^a: ( x + y ) ^ a Don't worry, that joke was told at one of our rehearsals by a BC calc kiddie, and everyone except for me and my friend, who took AB calc, were the only ones rolling around laughing while everyone else stared at us.

I feel so welcome here ^^
It's like the facebook group: "I wish I were a differential so I could be a tangent to your curves". Great chat-up line. You should try it some time.

Waiting for Prime to come up with news on the server situation. I think his life is a bit busy right now. I'm looking for work around here, so if Prime doesn't find one before the summer, I'll just finance it myself off of some hosting people.

Progress is being made, but I have some other projects as well.
In any case, this should be done fairly shortly. I'll be able to save up enough money to start it within the next to months, perhaps even late this month. But don't quote me, I still need to look into rotating IP's. It may end up being a real bitch.

I can draw, work on Photshop/Illustrator, 3Ds Max, coding, and writing. A member of the week/month sounds good. Someone should interview him/her and post the interview online to get to know that person a little bit more. I'm still writing (rewriting, actually), one of my old Pokemon fanfictions. I might post it here, so that could also be added, though I'm not sure if it's good since I haven't gotten reviews for it yet. (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3231273/1/) I used to do the reviews and articles for the Pokemon games on Pokeschool a long time ago. I even did several Pokemon of the Week. I wasn't that good back then, but I've gotten a lot better. intelligentgamers.wordpress.com/2006/12/07/the-legend-of-zelda-twilight-princess-review/That's an example from a recent website I intended to do. Because of time issues, I just haven't been able to write a lot of stuff on it. Still, if you guys needed another writer, I can just drop the project (or merge it with the Exodus) since it's not that important to me at this point. With a larger reader base, I'll definitely feel a lot more motivated to write for it and find some time. I would like to say that I could also do Anime and Manga reviews, but I really have never done one and I don't know if I could or how would I do it. And don't count me in for Movie reviews, 'cause I suck at it. Can't differentiate Arnold Swazeneger(sp?) from Sylverster Stalone.

I say we screw the fancy-schmancy paid server for now and put it on Freewebs.

It's been over a month.
I second Loogs' motion. We can move to a paid server when we get the chance. I say we get back to work on this project as soon as Mafia III finishes up.
