After reading the topic that prime, had made. I feel that our story lines are begining to become a little to serious. I know that I can get angry when I don't see a post in a topic, but I don't freak out majorly about it. I just wait, and then it dies, then I make a new one. Also, can we not have a little fun in a topic? Or even have a really weak character at times? OR even power down for once

My thoughts exactly, Al.
Well put. ^^

Hmm..*reads over again*
*points* Haha! Exactly. If our RPing is supposed to be for fun, why is everyone going crazy, and becoming purposefully hurtful over it? And I thnik that if the RP is to be realistic, we'd HAVE to have power-downs, or at least begin with a character that isn't equivalent to God...
Then again, so many of my topics get left hanging off I never get to finish even part of a story. Actually, I normally never get to reach the battle-parts...*cries*
My characters seem weak and pathetic compared to most everyone's, just because I purposefully make them average--so that they can be powered up and down. With God-like characters, what is an RP? Find an evil monster and kill it in ten posts? Boo. If I can eventually get a thread going, I admit I will proably give my character a power-up the first time. I've never gotten one before ^^;
I wish people in general wouldn't let themselves be overcome with rage at a simple forum; a forum MEANT for friendly, interactivity. *goes off to pick daisies and save birds with broken wings* Lalalala.

MWith God-like characters, what is an RP? Find an evil monster and kill it in ten posts? Boo. Pah. I'll take see your "kill it in ten posts" and raise you a "kill it in and several more of it's bretheren in one post". And, I made the (so far) only joke RP. no one seems to want to take me though. I do admit to keeping a host of overly powered characters, but I tend to keep them limited somehow. Ender gets headaches proportional to the mental energy used in a psionic attack, Nick transmutations take exponentially more time depending on how complex the transmutation is, etc. *also would like to take credit for Ender being comic relief a lot of the time*

Hmmm, indeed, there always should be an out that you can leave yourself. Powers that are built into a character generally become too high in level, and end up being too big to fit well into low level RPs. There's only a few times where I've seen characters with built in super-high power levels fit well with other characters. My advice: Make sure that you can make the power level vary.
And yes, nagging to post can sometimes get old, but you also must understand that by joining an RP, you are taking the obligation to see it through until the finish upon your own shoulders.

I only have one really, really strong character, and he isn't the top, and that is Al.

Well ,the character I'm about to post (after I transfer my bio into an easier-to-read format) may appear over-powered, but isn't actually. While I plan on him being a demon-container(yesh, Naruto-like) the demon itself breaks out little-to-none. Instead, the demon's personality can 'break out'. Anywho, I'll post it laterz.
I just don't want people callin' me a hypocrit(sp?). In addition, when sane, my charrie refuses to actually KILL anyone....Vash the Stampede! ^^

I think the reason most RPs die is because the interactions between characters aren't strong enough, or even there at all. Not becasue somebody is too powerful. There needs to be a relationship among characters other than "HEY LETS MEET AND FIGHT STUFF"

well, the whole being to powerful thing does contribute to not having that big a relationship. I mean, if you have a super powerful one dimensional character, why talk when you can blow stuff up instead? But, yeah, I totally agree with your point. Too bad I don't know how to talk.
Hay, wanna have a good time (fighting stuff)? <insert telephone number here>

I think we need more character building topics, and less power focus... Hmmm... Time to bring out plan T. T for... TEA PARTY!

Lmao. I'd like to see an organized tornament topic actually. Characters wandering around a city getting to know eachother, and then facing eachother in tornament combat. Could be fun.

I was thinking more along the lines of the DBZ world cup tornament thing. We all get together and it forms up kinda like this.
[Speech] [Fighting] [Speech] [Superpowered Fighting] [Witty Victory Phrase]
lol. The character would get to know eachother, maybe form friendships after there fights and so on. Helping to train eachother a stuffs. Personally, I liked Lugansians Angel in Training topic, it allowed for two levels of interaction. Character to character interaction on both personal and violent levels. We should all take an example from dot hack, the build-up is far more exiting than the battle itself. Or what-ever even is soon to come.

Yeah, my remark with sarcastic.. my appologies.
And actually, I favor db/z/gt rp over pokemon.
Of course, its so action-packed (and the fan-stories are much much better than the television show), that most rp actions falls under chat.
I started roleplaying around nine years ago, as Chibi Gohan. ^^
But yeah, that explains why I type a bit fast. I was accustomed to going at 132 wpm in live-action battles and shi---znet...
Anyhoo, the purpose of my previous post was thus:
This is not dbz.. There is more purpose than just being better than everyone else, obtaining rights to gloat.

Just a note: db/z/gt is one full episode of them powering up while hurling insults and flexing their muscles, then the next episode is 15 minutes of powering up so hard that the world starts to break, then about 5 mintues of fighting, then everyone dies. So, yeah, we don't want that.

Who'd want to sit through 50+ posts that could be condensed into "Sir Bob powered up and kicked ass."

Yeah, I think we have waaaay too much drama on here. I mean, there is never a happy topic, and even the one you started, Lee, is like, I don't know, like we all have to be quiet in it, or somebody might die of being exposed to noise. I think we all need to just play and be happy for once, because I really dislike drama.
