It had been about 40 years since he had escaped. He still got nightmares about it--being torn from his mother's arms, his imprisonment in the institute, the injections, the surgeries, being put in the tank with the most vicious sea creatures known to man, and most of all he remembered the cold, uncaring eyes of the doctor in charge of the Karcharos project. A gunshot rang out in his dream and his mother slumped to the ground--just like in every other dream he'd had since she had died--and just like after every dream, he woke up instantly, drenched in sweat.
He slipped out of his 4-post bed and put his slippers and robe on. He looked around at his home as he descended the marble staircase. "It is a nice place," he thought, "I have accumulated a fair amount of wealth in my time but out of all the things I have bought none have made me happy..."
Karcharos ran his pointed fingers through his white hair as he sat down and turned on the news; it was another report on global warming. Karcharos smiled grimly as he watched. Soon his plan would come into fruition, soon the world would be crushed under the weight of the ocean bearing down upon them. The survivors, if there were any, would hopefully learn to be at peace for once or they'd die. It didn't matter to Karcharos, he just wanted everyone to feel his pain.
He turned the television off and slowly walked over to his office. Unlocking the door with the keypad, he went inside. It wasn't a large office but there was a desk in the center and a bulletin board on the wall. It was the board that Karcharos was interested in. On it were notes of every fire mage he had ever gathered information on. There were a fair deal of red X's over the photos, they were the ones who either couldn't or wouldn't cooperate with Karcharos' request and were subsequently eaten. It wasn't like he had a difficult task for them. All they had to do was start some fires here and there; he knew none of them were strong enough to melt the ice caps. When he found the strongest one though, he would coerce them into doing his bidding.
He went back upstairs and got dressed. As he was about to exit his home, he paused for a second. There was always a very small nagging voice in a corner of his mind asking him if he was doing the right thing. The gunshot rang out again which steeled his resolve. He opened the door and set off to the airport.
OOC: I haven't decided where his home is but anyone of you can decide his destination.

"So you're sure, Fratley?" Yoshimitsu said into his mobile. "This is definitely the guy?" "No doubt about it. Our intelligence has been keeping tabs on people," Fratley's reply came. Yoshimitsu frowned. His phone was a bit tinny. Maybe he needed a new one. "He's been seen... well, hunting. And we're not entirely sure why." "No clues whatsoever? Even the best leave some kind of trace," Yoshimitsu asked. "What connects his targets?" "We're... not sure. The only thing they have in common is fire magic. They all manipulate fire to some degree," Fratley replied. "Fire magic? So how come he didn't go after me? Or Vincent? Or even you, for that matter. You can mess with states can't you?" Yoshimitsu asked. "No, I can blast holes in things with the Drakanon. I have limited magic, mostly Dragon Knight stuff. You should know about that," Fratley said. "And maybe he thought you and Vincent weren't persuadable?" "I dunno about Vincent..." Yoshimitsu said darkly. "Alright, I'll keep an eye on him. See ya."
Yoshimitsu was sat on the roof of an apartment block, overlooking some houses. He was dressed for inconspicuity - his usual t-shirt had been replaced with a white one, bearing an Animal motif, with a long-sleeved black t-shirt underneath. His jeans were the same, naturally, the dark blues ones that were slightly worn, but otherwise unremarkable. He didn't even have his sword on him - instead, he had a number of knives hidden on his person, including at the small of his back, in holders on the sides of his lower-legs, on his biceps and one attached to his hip, all hidden expertly. He had even attempted to hide his hair under a dark baseball cap. This, however, just annoyed him because he kept on adjusting it for maximum view.
Down below, he could see so much movement, but only one thing was interesting him - a house that Sir Fratley had informed him about. Inside hid a potential threat to the world, he had been told. Yoshimitsu thought this 'threat' sounded more like a recruiting agent, to be honest, but that was just him. However, this threat had just left the house. Yoshimitsu quickly checked a picture of his target, then stood up, jumping to the nearest building, then down on to the street, following Karcharos from a safe distance. "Mm'kay, let's see what you're up to," Yoshimitsu muttered to himself.

Karcharos pulled into the parking lot and took his ticket from the machine. After parking his vehicle and taking his suitcase with him, he entered the airport.
Karcharos was used to getting stares when he went out, though not because they had seen his face. His face would undoubtedly frighten those around him so he chose to wear either a black mask over his face or, as he had done today, heavy bandages. He was wearing casual clothes but he covered all exposed skin with bandages. In order to see, he left a gap but covered it with his sunglasses. He walked along until he got to his flight's area and got in the surprisingly short line to see the woman about his plane ticket . She gasped when she first saw him, but that was polite in comparison to what other people had done in the past.
"I have a ticket pre-purchased and I've come to pick it up, ma'am," he stated coolly. She asked for his name and he said he was Mr. Carl Sherrows. She asked to see an ID, but the picture looked nothing like him obviously. "Sir, could you remove the bandages so I could verify your ID?" she asked. Karcharos grinned beneath the bandages; he could tell she was anxious. "I'm sorry, but I can't I'm afraid. I was in a fire and the doctor said I have to keep them on until they do some more work on me. I doubt I'll ever look remotely the same again," he replied making sure to break his voice up a bit at the end. The woman's tone quickly changed from curiosity to pity as she apologized and handed him his ticket. "Good luck, Mr. Sherrows!" she said as he began to walk away, "Enjoy your time in Cherrygrove!" With a nod, Karcharos politely thanked her and headed to his terminal. His flight would be leaving in less than an hour. He'd be rather irritated if this was a dead end, but he also couldn't afford to put this in anyone's hands but his own. He always showed up personally to the doors of his prey; he felt it was more intimidating.
He sat down in a corner of the terminal ignoring the stares he received. He hoped for Rain's sake this wasn't another dead end.

"Fratley, why do I feel like this is just a pointless chase?" Yoshimitsu said into his mobile phone. He was flying, as always, following a car's progress way below. Losing the car for the umpteenth time, he descended slightly, hoping that he would not attract that much attention. "We're quite sure that this is the guy our intelligence agents keep coming across. I've just checked up on him," Fratley replied. Yoshimitsu rolled his eyes at how tinny his phone had gotten. "He's linked with a number of deaths and disappearences, all of them fire mages." "So, what, he has a thing against them? Why can't these mages just fight him off? He looks human enough to me," Yoshimitsu said, finally spotting the car again. "We're not sure, but he's apparently dangerous. Just follow him for now, don't intervene until you're sure as to his motives," Fratley replied. Yoshimitsu ground his teeth. He hated taking orders from Fratley. They always made perfect sense. It infuriated him that Fratley was always so calm. That said, if this Karcharos person was a threat, then it was his job to stop him. Or so Fratley said. "After this job, I'm quitting. You don't pay me enough for this," Yoshimitsu said. "You say that every time," Fratley replied before hanging up. Yoshimitsu returned his phone to his pocket and watched as the car pulled into an airport car park. "I hate recon missions," Yoshimitsu said, dropping to the ground and following Karcharos again.
Unfortunately, he got stopped by the silliest of all obstacles. He didn't have a ticket. Karcharos had gone to board his plane, he guessed, and Yoshimitsu had no clue just where he had gone or where he was going. Yoshimitsu was in the dark, again. Somehow, all of these missions had the same content - he had to do all the work himself. Fratley really wasn't paying him enough for this. That said, he did have a few tricks up his sleeve.
"'Scuse me miss, did a man in bandages come by here?" Yoshimitsu asked a woman who worked there. "Oh, that poor man who was burned?" The woman asked. Yoshimitsu resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "Yeah, that's him. Well, I was wondering if you could tell me where he was going?" Yoshimitsu persisted. "May I ask why?" The woman asked. Yoshimitsu had expected this, so he had formulated a lie in his head. That said, even he didn't believe it. "Well, you see, he's a relative of mine, he was staying with us and he's forgotten something very important to him," Yoshimitsu said. "He just upped and left without telling us anything." "Oh? And what's his name?" The woman asked, seeing the gaping hole in the lie. Yoshimitsu sighed. Time to use some scare tactics.
"Tell you what," Yoshimitsu said, leaning in very close. He raised his index finger in between their faces. "I'm on a very important mission and I need to know where that man was going." "I'm sorry, sir, but we cannot give out information about our passengers," the woman said, leaning back, away from the sinister youth. Yoshimitsu smirked his most evil smirk, and conjured up some fire from his index finger. "Yes, I understand, but what would happen if I... accidentally dropped this fire on to your desk? Think of all the damage! Your paperwork, your computer, any tickets of passengers you might have..." Yoshimitsu said. The fire grew ever so slightly as he spoke. "Sure, I could put it out, but without the information I need I don't think I'd be very interested in doing that."
The woman was scared beyond words. This strange teenager had just come up to her, and made fire from his finger! He didn't have a lighter of any kind, or anything to start a fire, but there it was! And now, he was threatening to destroy her work station with it! And he clearly wanted the information, that was why he had done this in the first place. "His name's Carl Sherrows and he's heading for Cherrygrove City!" The woman said quickly, her eyes wide, looking at the fire. Yoshimitsu smiled and extinguished the fire. Instead, a rose made of ice formed there. He handed it to the woman. "Thank you very much," he said, walking away.
"Fratley, do you have a list of known fire mages from Cherrygrove City?" Yoshimitsu said, some ten minutes later as soon as he was back in the sky. "No, Cherrygrove's protected so we never thought about keeping tabs there," Fratley said. "Though, in hindsight..." "Shut up, Frat, and try to get me a list. This guy's heading there. Keep me posted," Yoshimitsu said, hanging up. He shot towards Cherrygrove City, this mysterious man in bandages clear in his mind.

Karcharos stepped off the plane with his briefcase in hand. After walking through the bustling terminals, he made it outside and hailed a cab. He told the cabbie to take him to the nearest hospital. The cabbie tried to make small talk and Karcharos handled him in a similar manner to the woman from the airport. There were tears in the man's eyes by the time he got out of the cab.
Karcharos headed into the hospital. This was only to keep appearances in case he was followed; once inside, he made his way down to the mechanical room and found an isolated area. He quickly changed into his black cloak and mask and then made his way out the back door of the hospital.
Karcharos looked up at the setting sun and grinned as he dipped into the shadows. When darkness fell, he would make his way through a list of hot spots that Rain had gathered for him. The hot spots were all places mages tended to gather at. Karcharos himself would interrogate them to see if they knew more of his targets. He'd learned from a mistake in the past; never again would he just swoop down and kidnap someone. He'd taken someone in the past that claimed to be a fire mage and when it came down to business, he was just a pyromaniac. Though that person was long dead, the lesson remained to verify that his targets are mages and to also gather more information so that he could gauge his prey's power without fighting them. The most vital part, however, of his information gathering was to find out about what habits his prey had and what their schedules were. That way he could strike when they least expected it.

"Frat, you really suck at this," Yoshimitsu said, standing on top of a building. It was one of the taller buildings, yet not the tallest. He had a good view of the city from his current point, his exceptionally good eyesight scanning the streets below for his bandaged target. "I'm sorry, Yoshimitsu, but it just didn't seem necessary. We hardly know when someone's about to appear and cause damage," Fratley's reply came. "He hasn't caused any damage yet! Why am I actually following him?" Yoshimitsu asked, though he knew the answer. "He's linked in with a number of disappearences and murders, you know that," Fratley said. "Anyway, we've got some more information on him." "And?" "Not much. He likes disguises. We're not sure why," Fratley said. "Gee, thanks a bunch. Now this hard-to-find potential-villain is even harder to find," Yoshimitsu said sarcastically. "What about news on mages in the area?" "Nothing, really. Araini's in town, apparently, and Six lives around there. I can't find any link between them and our mystery man," Fratley replied. Yoshimitsu thought for a moment. Araini was certainly a mage and a half. That one could even give Yoshimitsu a run for his money. That was, of course, if Yoshimitsu didn't really want to hurt his old friend. "Alright, I'll contact Araini and ask. Until then, I have a plan," Yoshimitsu said. In his mind's eye, he could see Fratley groaning. "Don't do anything reckless," Fratley said, hanging up.
"Reckless? Me? Never," Yoshimitsu said, grinning and jumping down to street level. He knew Cherrygrove fairly well from his various visits to the city. Immediately, he set out for the nearest park, quite a good place for his plan to work. The park itself wasn't too far, nor was it too fancy. Nothing anyone would miss. Just a few swings and some trees. With any luck, he'd attract his old friend's attention as well. Yoshimitsu recognised the place, naturally. It was one of the first places he'd come when he'd originally entered this world. It had been a kind of home for him for a few months, before he'd started having run-ins with the police. The only thing that had changed was the small play area for children.
"Alright Araini, fancy coming out for a chat?" Yoshimitsu muttered, rubbing his hands together. He clicked his fingers, and the nearest tree immediately burst into flame. He clicked them again, and a bench set on fire. One more time, and the entire children's play area exploded. Thankfully, no one was occupying it. Yoshimitsu would put the fires out later, obviously, but for now he watched them burn.
That is, of course, until something extinguished them. Yoshimitsu spun on the spot, looking for the source of this interference, while throwing out fireballs at other, unmarked trees nearby. These, too, were extinguished, but Yoshimitsu found the source of the problem. Without a second though, he fired off a charge of electricity at Araini, who was stood near the entrance. Araini blocked, of course, but immediately returned fire with a jet of flames of his own. The fire dissipated as soon as it got close to Yoshimitsu, who was grinning.
"Hello there, old friend," Yoshimitsu said.
OOC- Ooer. ^^;;

The sky was still dimly lit from the setting sun, but it was time to make his move. Karcharos would begin his search now.
Sticking to the shadows and alleyways, he began his trek towards the first area on his list which was a library. He liked to go to the easier areas first as he could progressively build up his information by going through the weakest targets first. He was about halfway there when he noticed several flashes of light in the distance which danced about like fire would until they suddenly went out. He clicked a button around his belt and spoke, "Rain, there were flashes of light about 2 clicks to the east of my location. What were they and where were they?"
A few moments passed and a voice spoke into Karcharos' ear. "It looked like fire to me, Karch. The satellites showed that heat just appeared on what looks like a playground. They disappeared a few moments later, as you saw, and then some more heat signatures appeared but they vanished quickly too."
"Did you notice anything else?" Karcharos inquired. "There are two heat signatures still there. They're small... human-sized, if you will," was Rain's reply. "Alright then, I'm going in to investigate. Keep your eyes peeled for anything suspicious." Karcharos clicked his transmitter off. "Rain's a good kid," he thought. He'd definitely spare his life when his plan came into fruition.
Karcharos made his way to the fringes of the park, though it would be a minute until he made it there.

"Yoshimitsu, just what do you think you're doing?!" Araini snapped, his normally-black eyes glowing green as he summoned up electricity in his hands. Yoshimitsu's grin never left his face, even though inside he felt shameful. "Just a bit of needless destruction. Fancy helping me out?" Yoshimitsu asked, summoning up fire in his palms. The flames flickered and crackled sinisterly. Yoshimitsu knew he couldn't reveal his plan just yet, just in case someone was listening in. He didn't want to fight Araini - the mage's magic far surpassed his own elemental control, but in hand to hand combat he had an advantage. Call it even. "No. You know it's a stupid idea to attack Cherrygrove. Cherrygrove of all places! This city's protected, Yoshimitsu," Araini said. "Something must be going on." "Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. If you'll excuse me, I have things to be doing," Yoshimitsu said, disappearing in a flash of flames that set fire to the area he was just stood in. He reappeared near one of the burning trees, his teleportation method setting fire to the ground near him. Araini's electricity turned into water, which he fired at the flames, but Yoshimitsu was too quick. With incredible accuracy, he fired two more jets of flame at the incoming water, causing it to evaporate.
"So that's how it is, Yoshimitsu," Araini said, sliding on his bladed gauntlets. Each blade glinted in the light. Yoshimitsu grinned again, sliding out his own sword. The two looked at each other for a moment, then simultaneously shot at each other, ready for combat. Araini had improved, somehow. Each of his attacks was fluid and moved amazingly into the next. Yoshimitsu swung his sword like an expert, weaving attacks all around Araini like some kind of intricate dance which he and Araini were locked in. A dance of death. A dodge turned into a slash, a jump into a kick, a swipe into a sidestep. No move seemed to want to hit.
That is, of course, until Araini started playing dirty. Just as Yoshimitsu dodged another attack, he blasted off some raw magical energy, throwing Yoshimitsu back. Yoshimitsu skidded back, but was quickly on his feet again, summoning elements all around him. Fire, ice, water, lightning, light, dark, earth, wind... Every element he could manage, a number of orbs formed around him. He unleashed each and every attack at Araini, the elements shooting at him like bullets. Araini clicked his fingers, and the ground beneath him shot up, blocking the attack. Yoshimitsu seized his chance to send out a wave of fire all around him, setting more of the park alight.
"Araini, we're getting no where," Yoshimitsu said, sounding bored. "Going to tell me what you're up to?" Araini asked. "No, not just yet," Yoshimitsu said, grinning. He raised his sword, and the blade erupted in flames. Araini sighed.

Karcharos made it to the edge of the park in about ten minutes. He panted lightly from his jog over and then made his way into the darkest area he could find so he could observe the mages fight. If it was a sparring match, he'd follow the strongest one and attack when the opportunity presented itself. If it was a death match, Karcharos would approach directly if the winner was weakened, otherwise he'd be stalked as well. If there's one thing Karcharos was good at it was waiting. A good predator has to strike when there was an opportunity with the least risk for personal injury.
Flipping the switch on his belt, Karcharos whispered, "Rain, I've got eyes on two mages. Both seem proficient in fire magic. Keep watching the fight and tell me anything you see that's special." The reply came as a very soft "Roger," and then Karcharos flipped his comms off again. This would definitely be interesting.

Yoshimitsu pointed the sword at Araini, and fired a massive fireball, more like a missile than a normal attack. It shot at Araini at full speed, but Araini shrugged, waving his hand. The fireball changed, turning into a flock of doves instead. In return, Araini slammed his hands into the ground, causing it to crack and split, opening underneath Yoshimitsu and spitting up jets of flame. Yoshimitsu jumped out of the way, sending off a barrage of dark blasts at Araini, who threw up a barrier around himself. The barrier glowed, absorbing the attacks and returned the blasts at Yoshimitsu, who clicked his fingers, making the attack dissipate into nothing. Yoshimitsu grinned, and clicked his fingers again, causing the ground underneath Araini to explode. Araini was thrown directly up, but while he was in the air he shot a blast of electricity down at Yoshimitsu. Yoshimitsu was not expecting this, and was thrown back by the attack.
"We're not gonna solve this using magic, Araini," Yoshimitsu said. "You call what you're doing magic? Your power is a stolen technique," Araini said, landing crouched. "Very astute. I do have Vincent to thank for that," Yoshimitsu said dismissively. "Maybe you'd like to face magic in its rawest form," Araini said, his eyes flashing. They were not blue now, they were blood red. Yoshimitsu took a step back cautiously, activating the Guyver module at the base of his spine. Instantly, he was wrapped in wires, which carried the armour on to his body, changing his appearence to something more alien. Araini grinned demonically, glowing from head to toe. His body was changing, his skin melting away, being eaten by magical energy. He no longer looked human. He was a glowing, pulsating, fluid entity. No part of him was ever still. All of the raw magic that made him was moving, flowing to form his body, with something glowing at his chest.
"Yoshimitsu! This is magic in its most powerful form!" Araini said, his voice sounding as though it was coming from all directions. "Maybe so, Araini, but the Guyver unit is resistant to anything you can throw at me," Yoshimitsu said. "We shall soon see," Araini said, raising both of his arms. The ground all around Yoshimitsu exploded, throwing him skywards. Yoshimitsu, however, was much better in physical combat in the Guyver armour. He spun in the air, getting himself upright, and placed his palms near his waste, creating a red orb between them as his power medal started glowing. He brought the orb over his head, then launched it powerfully at Araini. The orb was red hot, hotter than a star yet condensed into a single small blast. Araini raised a single hand, catching the orb and throwing it back. Yoshimitsu dropped to the ground and ran at Araini, shooting darts of energy from his horn. He jumped and flipped, kicking at Araini. However, he went straight through the magical body, his whole body burning from being in contact with the magical energy. Araini laughed and turned, unleashing waves of fire upon Yoshimitsu.
Yoshimitsu spun on the spot, his elbow blades extending. He slashed through each of the waves, the fire sliding off to either side of him. Araini hovered back, firing two beams of fire at Yoshimitsu, who ducked under either of them and opened up his chest. Under his chest, two perfectly circular jewels were in place, seeming to draw energy from the air outside of Yoshimitsu, though in actual fact it was using his own life force to attack. Yoshimitsu fired off the Mega Smasher, blasting raw energy at Araini. It cut straight through the magical entity, causing him to cry out in pain. Yoshimitsu fell to one knee, the guyver armour sliding off of him and returning to under his skin, carried by the wires. Araini's skin melted back on to his body, and he too fell to one knee.
"Magical energy ain't a match for the Guyver Unit," Yoshimitsu said, panting. "You're just as tired as I am," Araini said, also panting. "Look's like it's a tie," Yoshimitsu said. Araini laughed. "No, not quite."
Araini started glowing green, and all his wounds knitted themselves back together, dispelling his fatigue. Yoshimitsu grinned, and green sparks started playing over his body, curing him too. "Next round?" Araini commented. "No, I have a better plan."
"Karcharos! Show yourself!" He shouted, clicking his fingers. Electricity started flowing around his body freely. Araini raised his eyebrow.

Karcharos was amazed by the spectacle. So amazed, in fact, that he wasn't snapped out of his trance until his name was called. Slowly, he stood up. He grinned beneath his mask as he slowly strode over to the two mages. "Very astute of you... Mr. Yoshimitsu, was it? I'm curious as to just how long you've been following me to know my name. Most people who've heard it are dead."
"Now then," Karcharos said as he exuded his pheromones, "I would like to know who you are, why you're looking for me, and more importantly I'd like to know what you're capable of." His tone was rather business-like and he didn't seem to be ready to fight at all; he sounded like he was purchasing a car instead of confronting someone.
OOC: LOLSHORT. His pheromones make him seem more fearful. It's how he has a 'fearful presence.'

"This is why you started burning a perfectly peaceful area?" Araini questioned, keeping an eye on Karcharos. "You were looking for some hooded person who refuses to show his face?"
Yoshimitsu ignored Araini's critical tone, addressing Karcharos instead. "About six hours, actually," Yoshimitsu said. "I have to say, you've done a good job of weaving a sob story to get about. Caught in a fire or whatever. That woman at the airport, she seemed reluctant enough to give details. So, Karcharos. I've been hired by the Burmecian Kingdom to keep an eye on you. Apparently, they're interested in some of your activities, though they can't quite figure you out. You're connected to the murder or disappearence of a number of mages. Fire mages, in fact."
"Ugh. No wonder you wanted to burn everything," Araini interrupted. "Wasn't there an easier way to get his attention?"
"I'm interested in you as well, actually. So much so, I'm willing to aid you in whatever it is you're planning. As for what I'm capable of..." Yoshimitsu said, turning away. He closed his eyes and concentrated, his hair sparking and flashing into gold. He turned back, a steely look on his face as he raised a finger to the sky. His finger sparked, and at that exact moment, there was an explosion in the sky. The sky all above Cherrygrove looked as though it was on fire. Flames were rolling all over, eating at the clouds, casting an orange glow all over the city. Araini raised an eyebrow at this, and clicked his fingers. Instantly, the flames dissipated. Yoshimitsu glared at Araini, who merely shrugged.
"You're after fire mages," Araini said. "I understand that. I happen to be one of the strongest mages around, so fire is just an aspect of what I do. Whatever you're planning, include me. You've just seen what I'm capable of."

"Actually," Karcharos said to Araini, "I don't refuse to show it, I just get tired of the looks I get when I'm unmasked."
He turned back to Yoshimitsu, with a slight grin at the mention of the woman. "I needed to avoid too big of a scene. As for the mages, I won't deny that I killed them. Those who joined my 'activities' willingly and were too weak to follow through had to be eliminated to maintain security and the others who were unwilling... well they had to go as well."
Karcharos' ear perked when he heard Yoshimitsu wanted to aid him, though Karcharos was wary. It could easily be a trap. He was, however, immensely impressed with the power that he had. It was far greater than all of the mages he had killed combined. He was equally impressed when Araini ended the firestorm in an instant.
He grinned beneath his mask and said, "I believe you two will be sufficient, but I need a guarantee that I won't simply be attacked when I don't suspect it. As a gesture of good faith on my part, however, I will remove my mask." As he said this, he reached behind his head and unfastened a few seemingly invisible straps. He pulled away the black mask and flipped his hood back. He was a bizarre sight; he had stark white hair that spiked backwards down to his shoulders, his skin was grey, though it was closer to white around his face and down his throat, and his eyes were cold and crimson colored. His nose was somewhat blunt, but pointed and he smirked, revealing a row of what appeared to be incredibly sharp teeth.

Yoshimitsu's pupils narrowed slightly when he saw Karcharos's appearence, but Araini seemed completely unperturbed. However, the teenager shrugged off his surprise instantly. He'd seen stranger things in his life time. "Proof that I wont simply stab you in the back? Let's see..." Yoshimitsu said, closing his eyes and raising his palms so that they were parallel to each other. He concentrated, frowning as he summoned up a power that was given to him. A spark jumped from one hand to the other, and back again. Slowly but surely, something indistinguishable was forming between his palms. A pulsating blob of some kind of energy. It had no fixed shape, nor colour. It was flowing and glowing brightly. Araini sighed, and conjured a clear container around this energy, sealing it in. Yoshimitsu opened his eyes and held the container out to Karcharos.
"This is a portion of my power. That is to say, you saw when I powered up. The gold hair, yeah? Well, this is that power. It was given to me, and I can give it to someone else. This is your proof," he said. "Araini? You're turn."
Araini's display was not nearly as majestic, nor as "showy". Instead, he summoned up a neon blue crystal that emitted a dim glow. He paused for a moment, thinking. Instantly, a chain threaded itself through the crystal, forming a necklace. He, too, took his object and handed it to Karcharos. "A small sample of magic. Wear this and you'll be able to use my kind of magic, though to a much lesser degree," Araini said.
"Proof enough for you?" Yoshimitsu asked.

"Of course," said Karcharos as he put the items into his cloak. "Well then, just out of curiosity, what does your information suggest I'm doing?" he asked. Karcharos strongly doubted that they were even on the right track, but he still wanted to know if he had been overly sloppy.
"You know, before we go any further, I must know if either of you have families or friends whose safety would be a concern. If you do, I need to know now to avoid conflict down the road."
OOC: LOLSHORT strikes again.

"Family? Him? He was created for war. Any family he might have had would be artificial anyway," Araini said, sounding oddly scathing. Yoshimitsu shot him a filthy look. "Says the thing that was created to host raw magic? What he's trying to say is that safety of any families wouldn't be a concern at all. Any friends I have can handle their own," Yoshimitsu said, turning his back to Araini. Araini was sorely tempted to use a quick spell that would remove Yoshimitsu, but he knew that it would just bring unwanted attention. Instead, he contented himself with shrugging.
"As for our information, the Burmecian Protection Agency - silly name I know - has managed to link you to some murders or disappearences. I'm not sure how, but the Burmecians have many agents that could potentially be tailing people. You know how it goes, I'm sure," Yoshimitsu said. "Fratley and his band of overgrown rats?" Araini said, chuckling to himself.

Six stared out across the roof tops. His eyes were fixated on a series of flashes and explosions not too far from his street. He knew that they were caused by magic and by the looks of things fairly powerful magic at that. Six's eyes widened as the sky erupted in flames only to vanish a few seconds later. Their were very few people he knew capable of such an impressive control over fire.
"Guess I'll check it out, there's nothing else to do around here." Six thought moving away from the window. He grabbed his grey trenchcoat which had been slung over the back of a chair and headed outside. Six hadn't spent much time getting to know the rest of cherrygrove outside of his own area so he wasn't too sure where he was headed. However, he vaguely remembered some kind of park not too far away that was in the same general direction.
He headed off down the road at a brisk pace, hoping to reach the park before whoever it was left. It only took five minutes to reach the park. Six had decided to run when he was around half way there. Panting slightly as he walked through the gates, Six could see three figures on the opposite side of the park. He could tell from the size and dress style that one of them was Araini, there weren't many people who looked like him. Unsure of the other two, Six decided to get a little closer. As he did so he soon recognised one of the other figures as Yoshimitsu.
Six continued toward the group, still wary of the third person. Something about the guy gave him the creeps. His face was strange but it wasn't his appearence that worried Six. It was as though just being near the man caused a twang of fear inside Six for no apparent reason.
"Yoshi? Araini? I saw your display from my house. Is everything ok?" Six asked cautiously, looking the stranger up and down.
OOC: Shmeh it'll do for a start.

"Well, that settles that then. If you have no ties than you should be mentally capable of fulfilling my request but I don't know if you'd really want to. It's a nasty bit of business I'm attending to you see..." Karcharos paused as the newcomer appeared.
After he recognized the face from his files, Karcharos spoke, "Ah, Mr. Six. You know you're actually one of the reasons I came to this town. I have a rather unique business proposition I was just speaking to your friends about." Karcharos could smell the fear leaking out of Six, which caused him to give a slight smile which exposed some of his savage teeth.

"A show of power," Yoshimitsu said. "From both of us," he added, shooting a glare at Araini. Araini, again, merely shrugged and slid his bladed gauntlets from his hands, checking them delicately as though they were a pair of fine satin gloves. Yoshimitsu slid his sword back into its holdster.
"Yoshimitsu, just what are you trying to gain from aiding someone you were obviously hired to stop?" Araini questioned, clicking his fingers. Instantly, a cloak fromed around him, with a hood that cast his face into shadow, apart from those sinister glowing eyes. "I have my reasons," Yoshimitsu thought, casting his mind to Vincent, and his new unknown rival. He shrugged and gave Araini a dismissive wave. "Araini, you're an old friend, I can remember when you couldn't even dream of intentionally hurting another." "Times change, people change. Sometimes, even hosts change too," Araini said. "At least I have halfway decent reasons for this." "Oh really? What are you getting out of it?" Yoshimitsu demanded, his hand flying to his sword. Araini's eyes flashed red warningly. "Knowledge. Knowledge is power. If I follow this... person," Araini said, choosing his words carefully. "I will undoubtedly gain even more knowledge to add to my already generous suppy. Besides, I'm still discovering the limit of my powers. This will be an excellent test, I'm sure." "Power whore," Yoshimitsu said, sticking his tongue out at Araini. Araini smiled under his hood.
OOC- Ew. Dialogue. And lots of it.

"You certainly know how to make a guy feel popular. Perhaps we can go someplace a little more private and you can fill me on on the details of this proposition." Six said calmly. He was very wary of the odd looking character but he wanted to know what he was up to. "My house isn't far from here, I'm sure it would be much better than standing in the middle of the park." Six said gesturing to the park gates. He turned on the spot and began walking in the direction he had just come.
Ten minutes or so later, the four of them were all seated around Six's kitchen table. "So, what exactly is it that you need from us?" Six asked as he pulled a cigarette from his breast pocket. A small flame ignited at his finger tip which he used to light the end of the cigarette before taking a long drag.
OOC: Small auto -Thumbs up-

"Well, to put it metaphorically: the world is filthy and needs a bath," Karcharos replied. "I'm trying to speed up the Greenhouse Effect by increasing pollution so that the ice caps will melt and flood the world. I've had limited success, though people have been helping me more than I've been hurting them. With people realizing what danger they're in, they've began to cut back on pollution and this has slowed down my goals considerably. It's not like the old days where companies would take my advice and sacrifice the earth for profit... It's because of this I've decided to take a more direct approach. I want you to melt the ice caps yourselves using your magic. Even if they aren't completely melted, if you melt them enough you could potentially put the earth into another ice age. Either way, the entire world won't perish but the vast majority will be killed by the waves crashing down on them or from the ice freezing them to death."
