OOC: Ok, I'm gonna bust out the road map here, give you a setting and a cold background, feel free to just run into, witness, or feel a power or something to join. Haven't Rped in a while, lets see if I'm rusty.
BIC:
" Balls! This place is a fackin goldmine!"
"I know, who wouda thunk it?"
"Well make so much money off these lil buggars, well be swimming in riches!"
" Hold on jimmy, I needa make a duce!"
A man sets down a tan sack on the ground. The sack is full, and there is alot of movement, and some noises that resemble tiny woodland creatures. All four men have these sacks. All the bags are Full and writhing with life.
The man walks over to the side of a tree to take a piss. The tree is quite huge. He looks around him. He is in a huge forest. Small rays of pale, sliver light shine down in random places thru the canopey.
The bag the man set down falls over, and the top starts to come untied. A small brown animals pokes its head out, and looks around. Another one of the guys sees it.
"Bloody 'ell, kill the buggar before he gets away!"
*Crack*
The man closes to the bag pulls out a club and smashes the animals tiny skull with a forceful blow.
"Ahahahah, that will teach those lil sun-a-bitches! Bwhahahahaha!"
The bag becomes silent, as if the others knew what had just happened and didnt want to make the same mistake.
The man finishes pissing.
"Ca' mon guys, lets jet."
The men turn around only to run in a huge figure. The man that made contact froze and hesitated for a second. He had ran into something as big as one of the trunks of the tree's, but it was oddly warm. He could feel sweat aswell. Too late, he had hesitated to long.
A dark brown hand had covered his face. It was human, but too massive to be any human he had ever seen before. He felt a tense pressure surronding his brain. His vision clouded and he dropped his bag.
*Crush*
The man fell to the ground, his head about one fourth the size it was before, now one small bloody compact mass.
"What tha fack!?!?"
"Wot Tha Hell?!?!?!?"
"Who the fack do you think you are?"
The large figure stepped forward into a glimmer of light. He was a massive human man, about 7'8, and well over 500 pounds, thought he was as chizled as Atlus himself. He skin was like leather, rough and tan. He wore glowing white shackles around his hands, and black pants. He has red hair, pulled back into a small, tight ponytail.
*Crack* *Crack*
The massive man cracked the knuckles in his hands and spoke.
"Put down the sacks and release the woodland life."
The men backed up but didn't comply.
"Fack off, you relaize how much the lil babies are worth."
"Yeah, the boss will give us great money for these, you know what kind of people love to eat endangered animals? Especially young ones? Rich ones, ahahahahahah!"
" I shall warn you once more, release them, innocent lives WILL not be taken!"

OOC: Nice. Wanted to do a conservation sort of thing for a while.
BIC: "I concur with the big man." There was a dramatic surge in sunlight through the canopy, a pillar of light descending to accentuate the location of a rather stoutly built being. Standing barely knee-high on one of the average looking men, he either was garbed in, or had a torso consisting of, a large midnight blue shell with spirals of vivid sky blue to the tip of its conchlike point. His skin was dark saffron, his limbs extremely well muscled despite his scale. His hair was a shock of bright blue at the top of his head.
However, the most notable attribute of his appearance was his blade. A gigantic luminous sabre was slung over his shoulder, easily far longer than the man was tall. It was mayhaps three or three and a half feet long, every inch of it polished and glowing with an ethereal flame. Eyes on either side of the blade regarded the men with curiosity as the short man stepped forward.
"Pablo Noki, Knight of Delfino." He said, and then turned his blade towards the men. It ignited, encircled in a cloud of swirling flames. "I'd advise you to let those creatures go before I loose your bowels through your navels."

A short white figure burst out from behind the group that was holding the small animals hostage. Although the men had time to start turning around, they didn't have time to stop the short figure from nearly decapitating one of them with a spear.
The figure turned out to be a white rabbit, with a very angry look in his eyes. However, the thing that stood out about this rabbit the most was that he wore a red necktie.
The rabbit leaped back, but kept the spear pointing at the men, waiting.

"It's wun thing wen a buncha Green Peace dundaheads go 'n' get in tha way, but it's anotha wen wun o' da animals stahts fightin' back like 'at," One of the men started to run, but was tripped by one of his colleagues.
"Ya got us inta this, ya dumb bastahd, so you're in it with us!" One of the other poachers hissed, stomping on the mouth of the bag that had been dropped. The contents writhed anxiously, ceasing freedom just out of reach.
"There's four of you left. That would be mop up work for any single one of us," Pablo took his hands off his sword, the blade still hanging in the air.
"Do you really wanna take those odds?"
"If we can git rid o' ya, the boss'll pay us a 'ole 'eap o' cash. 'e loves earnin' money, but 'e loves e'en more wen we put 'bus'ness threats' out o' commision." The man had produced a bat from somewhere nearby, and began tapping it on the palm of his hand.
"And we don't have a promise that you blokes won't kill us anyways, e'en if we go nice and peaceful like."
"That's-" Pablo was cut off by one of the men charging at him, swinging a knotted treebranch. He sidestepped, his sword pulling back towards his hand. With one swipe, he took the branch off right above the man's hands, and ignited the remaining stump of it.
The big man blocked a swing effortlessly, the bat shattering to splinters against his hulking body. He batted the ruffian aside with his glowing manacles, sending him slamming into a tree trunk almost thirty feet away. Bark exploded around him as he hit with a sick crunch.
He rushed towards the man who hadn't yet engaged any of the warriors, the other having grabbed a rusty rake and rushed at the rabbit.
"I, Sthenelus Blackbrush, will not-" His fist cocked back, like a meteor waiting to plummet out of the sky and cause another extinction. However, the blow did not come. He paused, trembling.
"Wot? Shan't be hittin' me now?" The man held a penknife to the throat of a struggling squirrel, his teeth bared in a manic grin. He began backing away as quickly as he could muster, and then turned to flee as soon as he could. As he began running away, the huge man simply let his titanic arms droop, his shoulders following the motion downwards.

A quick leap away from combat may be hard for some people, but this wasn't a person. As the man in green swung the rake at him, the rabbit jumped back, narrowly avoiding being struck down.
The moment he landed, he thrust with his spear. The man, while not as agile as his foe, managed to avoid the rabbit's killing blow, but not entirely.
OOC: I'm going to finish this post up later. It's mostly done, but I've a few details I want to add.

"You won't be getting away," The short man declared from in front of the hostage taker, approaching with his hands ablaze.
"I think I will, achally," The man brought his pen knife closer, pressing it into the neck of the rodent. It stopped struggling, frozen in terror.
"Well, do you know where my sword is?" Pablo asked, his tone uncertain.
"Hell if I know where yer sword-" The man's response was cut off as a gigantic cleaver descended from the sky like a vengeful raptor, taking both of his hands off above the wrist. The only noise he could produce were screams of sheer terror and pain.
Pablo ran over to untangle the squirrel, which had already mostly freed itself from the prison of the man's grip. The last of the poachers sprinted away, still screaming and bleeding everywhere.
"I don't know either of you, or at least have not, up to this point. But I thank you for your aid," Pablo extended a hand, his sword flying back to him. He shouldered it with a clank.

A fair woman, dressed in white, peeked out from behind one of the many trees, a shield of straight, black hair falling in front of her eyes. Two short swords hung, one at each of her sides, held there by a black belt that lay a bit crookedly around her pants.
She was curious about what had happened and who these creatures were. Slowly, she stepped forward and called out to them, making her presents known.
“Greetings! I heard a commotion nearby and thought I would give my help, but it appears I wasn't missed. I am Belwyn. Tell me,” she said good naturedly, “who are you and what has happened here?”

He was just prowling around when he heard the sound of fighting. Having not seen any action for a while, he suddenly felt a burst of excitement and took off towards where the noise had come from.
As he got close to where the sounds of fighting came from, he let out a roar and jumped through the young trees blocking off the next area and transformed back into his human form. He had slightly tanned skin, his hair was shoulder-length, dark brown, and kinda messy, and he had blueish-green eyes that always seemed to find some way to hide behind his long hair. He wore a pair of faded black jeans, black sneakers, a loose dark blue t-shirt and a partially buttoned jet black leather trenchcoat. From inside the trenchcoat, if one looked carefully enough, in places, one could see silver dots coming from there. As he landed on the ground in a sliding halt, he his hands extended and trailing in front of him for balance.
He stood up, brushed the autumn leaves off of himself, looks around, and says, "Don't tell me I missed everything..."
OOC: Thanks for waiting for me, Lee ^^

A taller man, a few years into of adulthood strides slowly through the forest. He has close-cropped hair, more white than blond. His clothes are simple, (today's) sky blue track pants and jacket, a little unzipped to show a well-lined chest and the hint of a tattoo. He eyes the scene before him and quickens his pace. His jawline hardens- he is angry but it does not show in his overall features. His eyes, twin orbs of the lightest grey, rove the people gathered. One of the bags move slightly and he watches it.
"How pitiful you Humans are, thinking you can take them from the forest without first paying a sacrifice of your own..." he sneers, leaning forward eagerly.

"Pablo Noki, Sven Blackbush-"
"Sthenelus Blackbrush."
"Yeah, that. And there's that killer rabbit pikeman, but I don't know if he actually talks at all..." Pablo shrugged, quite the feat with the heavy shell covering his body.
"Anyways, I don't know what brings the rest of you around here, but I sensed a magical anomaly, and came to investigate it. These... Well, those poachers were around, and things just went from there."
"I'm here because of the poachers. I'd rather not speak of it, though." Sthenelus's shackles hung low, the chains rattling. They sounded almost like bells of silver, despite their bulk.
"I don't know who you all are, really, but the only thing that matters to me is that you guys care about nature, and can fight well enough to take care of yourselves…”
“That would be an apt description for me.” Sthenelus’ face was stony, almost emotionless, it seemed.
“C’mon. We’ve got a blood trail to follow. I’ll explain things as we go.” Pablo held up a hand, indicating for the group not to go rushing ahead.
“So, we follow him back to their camp, and then visit justice upon his comrades?” Sthenelus paused, untangling a small mouse from a bit of netting. Though his fingers were the size of corncobs, they danced through their motions with surprising grace. He stood up once more, looming over all present.
“That the basics, yeah. But there’s something unnatural going on here, and I don’t think it’s just two-bit thugs to blame for this.” Pablo stopped in his tracks, and stooped to pick up a stick from the leaf litter.
“Looks pretty normal, right?” Pablo snapped the twig between his fingers.
Instantly, it crumbled. Not to bits or flakes, but down to dust. A fine mist of the powder wafted into the air, and was pulled skywards by the wind.
“I have no idea what’s doing it, but everything that’s been falling off of the trees seems to be rotting away extra fast… Not exactly terrible news, but I don’t think it’s a good sign.” Pablo did an about face, and continued following the trail of blood.
OOC: ONE. POST. A. NIGHT. Gotta keep my rate up, even if it means being up til 5 AM. Hopefully, I'll be a bit more in the groove later on.
Sorry about the delays everybody. Thanks for joining the topic. I'll do what I can to make it fun for all of us.

He casually walked with the rest of the group and spoke, "Actually... I showed up since I heard fighting and I assumed that it was just some people sparring and I was bored. However, from the looks of it, the whole thing with the twig crumbling away doesn't look good, so sure, I'll help out. Not like there's much else to do around here anyway nowdays..." He stopped to sniff the air for a second, and continued talking, "And I have to agree with Pablo. There's something that's wrong here. There's a dreary scent floating around that's never been here before. And whatever it is can't be good since it's getting stronger."

“Well, I must say my outing into the forest has been a bit more tense than usual. Now that you've caught my interest I can't just turn back.” Belwyn stepped forward to fallow the rest of the group, but at the same time kept a bit of distance from them. She was a very timid person and, for the most part, everyone there had a fierce look that unsettled her a little.

"I don't think whoever is responsible is going to fare very well," Pablo's grin ticked slightly. The girl, the giant, and long haired one... They were good intentioned, seemingly innocent figures as far as he could tell. But the other two, the white haired ones... He could feel a harsh edge of something like bloodlust from them.
“If you’d like to do some sparring…” Pablo shifted his weight slightly, moving the colossal blade back along the edge of his shell, “I’d be glad to do a few rounds with you after we resolve this situation. Provided we all come out of this okay, you know?”
Pablo went silent as his companion described the scent. Nokis really didn’t have a sense of smell out of water, or at least nothing too helpful. He’d need to take his companion’s word on this…
“I smell it too…” Sthenelus raised his earthy voice. “It’s not something that one would expect in the forests far from the sea, but it is quite similar to the scent of low tide.”
The Noki growled under his breath. If he could smell whatever it was, he could pinpoint the issue. If there was one thing he did know, it was the ocean.
“However, it’s rather different. If I’m not mistaken, it may be because it’s a similar event, but inland…”
“That’s not good, then. I don’t know if the rest of you know quite what low tide really amounts to, but you could say that it’s the ecosystem casting out innumerable dead and dying creatures…” Pablo’s sword sparked, the blade taking on a golden glow.
“We should do our best to remedy this situation quickly, then.” Sthenelus responded, his titanic footsteps increasing in pace until he was rapidly outpacing most of the group. “I feel whatever the source of this malaise is, it’s most likely lying ahead of us here.”

Belwyn increased her step to close the gap between her and the group. All the talk of death and the smell of decay was only increasing her paranoia and she decided it would be better to be with the group then to be caught off guard on her own, behind them all. Straining all her senses she tried to find a trace of what the giant thought might be ahead. Then, for the second time that day, she heard the faint clank of metal against metal.
“There!” She said, pointing a little to the right of their current course. “There's someone in that direction.” Loosening her swords, Belwyn started toward the direction of the noise.

He walked up to Belwyn, put his hand on her shoulder and started to say, "What are you talking about? I don't...." Then, suddenly, he stopped, took a deep breath, and continued talking, "I take that back. I hear nothing, but I do smell molten metal, so you're onto something. It's quite faint though, so it can't be too close..."
Suddenly he sped up his pace, but as he did, his coat caught on a tree branch. As he yanked on it to get it off, sounds of clanking metal came from it. He looked over his shoulder towards Pablo and said, "I agree, now'd be a bad time to do this. But... Afterwards, why not. I don't have much of a like for death, even though at times it can't be avoided, however, a bit of friendly competition never hurt anyone."
"Still... I don't think I trust this whole group too well." He said, " Specifically that," as he said that, he pointed towards the white-haired man, " arrogant and demonic sounding one. I feel something about him, and it's not flowers. Or butterflies."

The leaves rustled above Belwyn's head as a blur of blue flashed down from the trees, landing at her side. It was a young boy no older than 14, small leaves were stuck in his white hair. He wore blue pants and a matching shirt, a dark blue scarf covered his mouth and a bracelet decorated his right wrist. Two dagger hilts hung from the boy's waist. His gaze felt cold and at the same time sad.

OOC: I feel something about him, and it's not flowers. Or butterflies." Or fluffy bunnies!...wait... BIC: Belwyn's head shot up as soon as she heard the disturbance over head and gave a short yelp as she dived out of the way of the fast approaching white and blue blob that seemed threatened her. Fortunately she hadn't been hit by, what she knew now, was a young man, but she did have a few little scrapes on her wrists and the palm of one hand. Other than a little stinging, she observed, she would be fine. Reaching into one of the pockets of her pants she pulled out a little tin like container and applied an orange colored salve. After she was done, she looked to the white haired teen a bit shyly. “Um, would you like to use some? It will help your cuts heal faster.” Belwyn said, trying to be chipper sounding. In fact, the whole incident had rattled her more than she had been before. Maybe the sound she had heard had just been this one getting closer to them. Then again the human had said he smelled molten metal. She squirmed as the thought entered her mind. No matter how positive she tried to be, there was still that nagging thought in the back of her mind she couldn't quite think of. She squirmed again. “I wish I would stop feeling like everyone was staring at me.” she thought.

"Hmmm..." Sthenelus glanced off to the side, a concerned look in his dark eyes. He turned, and reached one of his titanic hands up into a tree. There was a rustling noise as he brought it back down.
A robin was nestled in the lifeline of the man's palm, barely moving. It shook occasionally, as if sick with a fever.
"It would not just be the flora... Indeed, it seems that all life is under whatever this rot is."
"Mm. Best to move quickly, then," Pablo began running as fast as his short legs could carry him. He was beginning to sense something up ahead as well, something sharp, angular. He couldn't be sure, but it looked like a fairly large building.
"Don't worry about that one. If somebody is on our side, they're on our si-" Pablo was cut off by the new arrival, the younger boy in blue. "Point being. If anybody wants to help us, then they may help us. Protecting something as grand and magnificent as nature itself..." Pablo continued his charge, closing his mouth for a moment.
"That's universal. It doesn't matter what you're fighting for. It could be for faith, for revenge, to preserve the beauty and wonder... It could be for anything. If you raise your blade alongside me, facing those that would mar our world, you're my brother."
"We are not all as pure of heart as you may think," Sthenelus held the bird tightly to his chest. It didn't seem to be getting any better. Despite the Noki's sprint, the rest of the group seemed to be keeping up easily. Indeed, Sthenelus had to check his stride to ensure he didn't leave the knight behind.
"Good, evil... Those are words that humans use. It's a human concept. What it all comes down to is respecting nature, or desecrating it. And if you're protecting it, I don't have reason to bring my blade against you," Pablo paused again, closing his mouth. Though he didn't have lungs like a human, it was still hard to run and talk at the same time.
Sthenelus smirked.
"Those ones you speak of, the desecrators. It seems that we are drawing near to them."
"Hm?"
Sthenelus pointed one beefy finger forwards. Though they were quite a ways into the woods still, probably a hundred yards from the building, it was very clear to see. It was a metal construct, jagged and unnatural. The walls were a sickly shade of grey, bringing to mind decay despite their evidently new state. A dark smoke belched from a pair of metal pipes, occasionally accompanied by sparks and bursts of flame.
"It seems that we are," Pablo raised his blade, the weapon glowing with a restrained blue flame. He hadn't noticed it at first, but the reason why they could see the building from the distance they were at. The trees, even out this far, were missing every one of their leaves.

The stranger looked at Pablo, his cold blue eyes seemed to look deeper than anybody would wish.
"There are many things to fight for in this world, yet I haven't found a single one worth dying for. You may need me before this quest of yours is over, I'll join you if any of you can tell me your reason for fighting." He said drawing both of his daggers. As he did ice blades formed on the hilts.

Mr. Rabbit eyed each member of the group, paying particularly close attention to the new arrival. While he introduced himself to the group, Mr. Rabbit remained silent. He hadn't come here to make friends, or enemies for that matter, but he'd been flung into the group by a bunch of men who were trying to kidnap animals from their homes.
Whilst he didn't feel the need to make friends with this group, Mr. Rabbit decided that it would be best to stay with them, lest he be caught alone whenever the friends of the men they killed earlier came around.

Looking around, he saw that Belwyn was almost shaking, he walked over to her and said, "I have a feeling by the time the night is over, we all might be needing that stuff. Anyway... Are you alright? You're shaking worse than an autumn leaf."

The stranger looked over the group very closely, his ice blue eyes seeming to peer deep in side them.
"May as well tell you my name, it's Flint." With that his eyes took on a slight glow. Putting his dagger hilts end to end, they created a bow and a sheet of ice formed at his feet. Floating into the air, he began to shoot ice bolts into nearby trees, freezing the forest over. Afterward Flint dropped back to the ground exhausted. Slowly standing up, he appeared shaky and his breathing was heavy.
"That should keep the forest from decaying any farther for now but it wont stop it forever, we should hurry. I may not be as helpful any more I broke my last crystal and I haven't learned to use my ice with them yet."

Belwyn shivered once more as she turned to the man next to her, but this time it was from the cold wall of air that hit her as the forest froze over.
“I'm alright. Just a little more excitement than I'm used to.” She took a deep breath to calm herself, “Even though I know a little about fighting, I've never actually fought before. I've always tried to be a healer.” She finished, faltering a step or two as the dismal looking place came into sight.
“Well, whether there be good and evil or not, this place is, with out a doubt, foreboding. Even in the stories my mother used to tell me about the fey and other creatures, I never imagined something like this. I'm not sure how much help I would be if we ran into trouble,” Belwyn gave a sheepish laugh. “and it looks like we're going to.”
