I know there are some other people besides me who are big MtG dweebs, so let's get in here and embrace another fun way to quibble endlessly over pointless categorizations of our characters! For old times' sake!
If you're not familiar, most cards in Magic: the Gathering are assigned one or more of five colors: white, blue, black, red, and green. Each color represents an entire philosophy unto itself, with its own ideals, goals, and methods unlike those of the other four. A card can be multiple colors, and the two-color combinations in particular are very well-defined, with a lot of thought given to how these two colors' ideologies interact.
Mark Rosewater, head MtG designer, has done a lot of writing about the colors. In that list, the bottom five articles ("It's Not Easy Being Green" through "Seeing Red") explain the five colors, and the ten from "Group Think" to "Hedonism with Attitude" explain the two-color pairs. Mark Rosewater is not a very good prose stylist. Definitely not as good as some people we know. But it's still really interesting stuff!
So get in here and figure out what colors your characters are!
TERRIAN: probably just pure black. I think he represents a fairly benign, amiable take on black's mentality of ruthless self-promotion. There might be another color in there, but I'm not sure which.
WILLIAMS: At first I was thinking mono-white since he's obviously big on authority and rules, but his temper does get in the way of his judgment sometimes so white/red is likely.
YOON: mono-blue most likely, given her entire lifestyle revolves around the acquisition and distribution of information. Or is she self-interested and deceptive enough to be blue/black?
RENARD: I'm split between blue/white since Renard uses his mind to solve problems in the name of justice, or blue/red since sometimes he caves and uses his mind to solve problems in the name of whatever he personally thinks is the right thing to do instead (plus because his life is just generally shot through with a general sense of disarray). He may very well be blue/white/red (heh heh heh).
